A Kiss Goodbye: A Sakura/Kakashi pairing
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Reaching up on tiptoe she kissed his lips, the black cloth between them sweet friction. He could only stand there dumbly as she did this. It was unexpected, it was taboo, it was.... so nice...
"I will return," she promised him and then was gone in a shower of cherry blossoms. Was this an echo of the past? Hadn't one of his precious people said that to him before she'd disappeared forever?
"Don't go..." His plea came to late. For Rin... it was too late... For Obito... too late... For sensei... gone forever...
His eyes widened. Would she be gone forever? Like father? No! His feet began to carry him forward until he was running down the streets. Rain began to pour. Like that night... No! He wouldn't lose another student...
He stopped... She was no longer a student... What was she to him? What? Not a student... to far away to be a friend. A teammate? No, they were rarely on missions together anymore since she'd been taken in by ANBU.
Could... could she be another precious person to him? No... he'd told himself he'd never get that close again...
Rain dripped from his face, his hair. Tears fell from his eyes... Tears? No...
A flash of pink in the distance... She was near the gate. She was leaving... leaving him?
He flashed forward, his feet occasionally slipping on the wet roofs.
"SAKURA!" He cried. The pink in the distance stopped.
"Kakashi?" She asked, truely surprised he'd followed. He didn't stop until he was just before her, then he was tugging down his mask and kissing her.
Rain dripped from their bodies, steam rose from it in the cold chill. Her lips wrestled with his for dominance. It was a kiss of true, unburied lust and love. It was teeth and tounges. It was theirs.
He broke away from her and they panted, their breaths showing in the moonlight.
"Never kiss me goodbye... Do you understand me? Never kiss me goodbye!" He commanded before crushing her in a hug. They shivered as the cold rain continued to beat down on them.
"Kakashi... I must go... my mission..." she whispered to him. He slowly released her, already missing the feel of her soft breasts against his chest. She looked up into his mismatched eyes, "Look for me when the moon is full again..." Then she turned and ran to catch up with her team.
And when the moon next became full, he stayed up all night... but she didn't return...

"Tsunade-sama! We have a report of Sakura's team!" A chunin reported as the Hokage was briefing Kakashi of his mission.
"Report!" She barked, worry evident on her face. He saluted.
"It seems Sakura's team has failed to check in. The recon waited a full day to see if they'd been held up by enemy fire, but they still did not check in. It seems that the entire team has gone missing," he told her. Kakashi's heart nearly stopped.
"WHAT! Get Naruto, Neji, and Shikamaru in here now!" Tsunade ordered, and the chunin was gone in the blink of an eye. "It seems your mission has changed, Kakashi. This is now an ANBU mission. Lead this team to find Sakura and her team. I don't care what it takes find her." She handed him a scroll, "These are their last known whereabouts. Kakashi, bring my daughter home..."
"Yes," he said before turning to find Naruto, Neji, and Shikamaru behind him. "We leave in ten minutes, change and meet me at the gate." They were gone in a flash.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
"I can't beleive they paniced like that," Sakura fumed as they eight shinobi made their way back to Konoha.
"Well, Sakura-chan, when you fail to check in on an S-class mission, what do you expect?" Naruto teased, truely happy to see his best friend was okay.
"And I told them it would be three days before I could come back! You would think they'd remember something that important!" She growled. They were silent they entire way back after that. But Kakashi watched her like a hawk.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
It was the full moon after their return when she came to him. He felt his bed dip with her body as she crawled up his prone form. He let her reach his chest before flipping them over. She giggled at his play, but was silenced by his bare lips.
"If you ever scare me like that again, I'll never forgive you," he told her.
"You sound like a ten-year-old," she admonished, her hands slipping under his uniform shirt to get a feel of his chest. His lips decended on hers again as his hips thrust into hers. Her legs parted to allow his weight to rest on her fully.
"How did we end up here?" He asked her. She looked up at him with her emerald eyes.
"Fate... destiny... and a little bit of lust," she answered.
"You know, after this you'll be stuck with me forever... I'm never letting you go," he told her.
"Oh good, now kiss me," she demanded. He chucked as he kissed her, his hands tracing her body, squeezing her breasts.
"I'm more than half your age," he started again, his hands slipping beneath her shirt, pulling it up.
"Age means nothing when your souls are truely meant to be together," she told him as she began to help him out of his shirt.
"And do you think our souls are meant?" He asked, starting on her shorts and split skirt.
"Yes... because we missed eachother in my past life," she told him seriously.
"Your past life?" He asked, pausing in their rush to be rid of his pants. She tried to continue on without answering, but he wouldn't allow it.
"Yes, my past life... Ever since I was a child I've had flashbacks of... of me as another me... In that life I had long brown hair... and I loved two boys who were so different they seemed like one..." she whispered. "One I always called Obito... and there's a silver haired boy who's younger than us, but not by much... he's already a jounin... but he stays with us..." He stared at her.
"Please tell me you aren't making this up..." His voice held a plea. She shook her head.
"I'm not... But I can only see her happiest times... times with her boys," she told him.
"That's good, because Rin's death wasn't a nice one," he told her, and proceeded to tell her things about his past. She laughed at the stories of his team, cried for the pain of the loss of them, and hoped more than ever to heal his heart.
"So that's why you don't want me to kiss you goodbye, because in a way they all did before they died," she said, in the silence after he'd finished. "You know, this only makes me love you more. Now you'll never get rid of me."
"Oh good," he said before kissing her. And he proceeded to make love to her body.
He thrust, she moaned...
A roll of her hips against him, he groaned...
Their bodies met time and again in that ancient dance. Their love swallowed them until the night rang with the sound of their pleasure.
He licked, she screamed...
She pinched, he thrust harder into her...
Hours later, as their bodies cooled from their love-play, she danced her fingers across his chest, making patterns.
"Do you love me, Kakashi?" She asked softly, not looking at him.
"I'm not sure... What do you call this feeling of peace?" He asked her.
"Being sated..."
"And this feeling of not wanting to ever let you go?"
"Hmm... lust, I think."
"And my heart beating a hundred miles per hour while I'm holding you?"
"Love..." She said with a grin.
"Then yes, I love you, Sakura," he told her before kissing her again....
