Author's Note:

Yay, it's finally here, chapter 4! Been quite busy this week but I've been writing whenever I got a chance.

Thank you again to those of you who reviewed. Nice to see the responses to the mid-kiss cliffhanger xD

So without further ado (translation: I can't think of anything else to say) here is the new chapter.

Disclaimer: If I owned Naruto there would be a lot of steaming hot buttsex, which there isn't (damnit!)
Warning: Inner pervert... got out... Ok, so maybe I don't have an inner pervert, I don't need one. My mind already lives in the gutter. Can you imagine what the inner pervert of a pervert would be like?

Chapter 4

Their lips never met. Naruto opened his eyes slowly. Sasuke had pulled away, his hand still resting on the back of the blond’s head. “Sorry, you just remind me so much of someone I lost a long time ago.”

I almost let him kiss me. Naruto’s mind tried to explain what had just happened. Why? Because he’s beautiful? No! Gotta stop thinking like that. Maybe it was because his voice held so much pain. Yeah, that’s it. I felt sorry for him.

“Damn, I thought blondie might actually see some action for once.” Naruto’s head whipped round to see Sai sat on the bonnet of his car; apparently he had been enjoying the show.

“Pervert.” Sasuke’s voice came out icy cold, emotionless. He glared at Sai. A gaze that promised death. “I assume you didn’t drag me out here just for that.”

“I wouldn’t dream of doing such a thing.” Sai smiled, trying to act innocent. “Naruto needs some help taking out a vampire.” Sasuke stalked slowly towards him.

“And what makes you thin-”

“It’s Orochimaru.” Sasuke froze, his eyes widened.

“That moron wants to take down Orochimaru?!” Sasuke sounded vaguely amused at the idea.

“Hey, bastard! I’m right here, you know?”

“How could I not with a loud voice like yours?”

Naruto gritted his teeth, his hands balled into fists. Who does he think he is?

“You’d have to be a idiot to even think about going up against Orochimaru. Why do you think no-one has stopped him in over a thousand years?” The blonde just smirked at the comment. Sasuke’s reaction was one of bewilderment.

“Well they didn’t have the great Uzumaki!”

“Hn. Lucky for them.” Naruto’s hand shot forward and grabbed the front of the raven’s leather jacket, pulling the slightly taller boy towards him.

“Asshole, I should beat the crap out of you.”

“I’d like to see you try… moron.” Sasuke threw Naruto one of his trademark ‘death glares’. A tanned fist swung and connected with pale skin.

“Boys, as much as I would love to see you vent some of your sexual frustration, I can’t have you killing each other.” Sai’s hand has blocked Naruto’s punch mid-swing. “Let go, Naruto.” The blond reluctantly released his grip on the other boy’s jacket.

Sasuke turned and walked towards his motorcycle. He lifted the helmet over his head and straddled his ride. As he revved the engine he turned to face the fuming blond.

“Give up on killing Orochimaru, unless you really do have a death wish.” Even as he spoke those words he knew they fell on deaf ears.

“Yea? We’ll see. I don’t need help from a scaredy-cat!” Those last two words were ground out slowly. The bike took off suddenly, racing away into the distance.

“Can you believe that guy?”

“Naruto…” The blond turned to see Sai already in the car. “Come on, I wanna try out that new bar in town. You can leave your car at my place since it’s only a short walk.” Naruto nodded before climbing into the driver’s seat.

“I could use a drink after that.”

“You look like you could use several drinks. Getting laid wouldn’t hurt either.”

Sasuke rode his bike hard down an empty highway. There was nothing better than speeding through the night to clear his mind. The loud roar of his bike drowning out the rest of the world. A single tear slid down his cheek, followed shortly after by another. Tears? What reason do I have to cry?

Naruto sat at a small table in the corner of the large room. Several empty pint glasses littered the table. His eyes wandered around the room, searching for his friend amidst the ocean of people on the raised dance floor. Blue, green and red lights danced along the dark-red walls. He turned to look out the nearby window to see that it had started raining heavily.

“You need to loosen up, Naruto.” Sai placed a jug of suspicious-looking purple liquid on the table before handing the blond a large straw. “Try this!”

“What is that?” Naruto eyed the offending alcohol curiously.

“It’s a Purple Haze.” Sai dipped the end of his straw into the jug and motioned for Naruto to do the same. “After three, no breaks.” They lowered their heads to the tips of the straws. “3…2…1!”

The two of them sucked furiously, determined to finish the whole jug before their bodies told them to stop for air. It didn’t take long before every last drop was greedily sucked up. Naruto threw his head back as he gasped for air. The sudden motion made the room spin causing him to almost fall off his chair.

“Damn, what the hell was in that?”

“I dunno.” Sai laughed. “I just asked for the strongest cocktail they had.”

“You’re just trying to get me drunk!”

“You need to get drunk, I’m doing this for your own good. Besides, I don’t even have to try, you never could hold your drink.” The pale boy stood and moved around the table to grab one of Naruto’s arms. “Come on, let’s go mingle.”

Sai led Naruto onto the dance floor, weaving in and out of the mass of drunk, sweaty bodies. The blond danced awkwardly. Sai stood behind him, placing his hands on Naruto’s hips as he leaned in to say something.

“Move your hips.” He ground his hips against the blond’s firm ass, using his hands to guide his movements. “Much better.”

The rain was still pouring as they exited the bar. Naruto stumbled onto the pavement using his friend for support.

“I can’t believe you got us thrown out.” Sai looked at his drunken friend. “Breaking that guy’s jaw was a little over the top, don’t you think?”

“He was going to rape me!”

“All he did was pinch your ass.” The raven sighed. Naruto grabbed the wet, orange material that clung to his skin and began to pull it over his head. “What are you doing?”

“I’m gonna get soaked anyway.” The rain beat against his naked skin as the t-shirt came off, making his wet hair more spiky than usual. His eyes found Sai’s watching him. “Enjoying the view?” Naruto walked towards his friend slowly. Sai backed away until he was pressed against a wall. Shit.

“Naruto, what are you-”

“This is what you want, isn’t it?” A tanned hand caressed the pale skin in front of him. His lips latched on to the side of Sai’s neck bringing a small gasp from the other boy’s mouth. Fuck, how drunk is he?!

“What do you want Naruto?” The blond released his hold on the pale neck revealing a small red mark.

“I don't want to keep denying who I am... I want you to suck me off.” Sai’s eyes widened. “It’s about time you repaid me for the blowjob I gave you.”

Sai raised his hands to the blond’s chest, rubbing against the slick skin. He pushed suddenly sending Naruto crashing to the ground. The look in those blue eyes wasn’t friendly.

“Bastard! You’ve been trying to get into my pants for years and you’re gonna say no now?!” His fingers curled, nails scraping against the hard concrete beneath him.

“Not like this! I almost lost you for good three years ago, I’m not risking that again.” Sai looked away from the angry blue eyes. It hurt him to see his friend like that. “Do you remember how pissed you were when you woke up that morning, when you told me I took advantage of you? I’m not gonna make that mistake again, not with my best friend.”

“Sai…” The rage slowly dissipated. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have… I don’t know what I was thinking.” Salty tears trickled down his cheek only to be washed away with the rain.

“It’s okay.” Sai kneeled next to his friend and placed a hand on his shoulder.

“No, it’s not! All this time I’ve tried to be someone I’m not. I’ve lied to everyone, to myself. I made you pay for my insecurities.” The tears came faster and the sky followed suit. “I don’t deserve friends like you.”

“There’s nothing wrong with being scared.” The raven lifted Naruto’s arm over his shoulder and helped him to his feet. “And like it or not, you’re stuck with me.” Naruto’s arms wrapped around Sai, holding him tightly. His face buried into the pale skin. The rain continued to fall around them, drowning out the muffled sobs.

“Thank you.”

Unknown to them a pair of yellow eyes watched intently from the cover of dark.

“I must discuss business with Hiraku in private. I’m sure you understand, son.” Fugaku Uchiha turned and left the room, closing the door firmly behind him. Sasuke looked completely lost in the large house. A young boy approached him; must be Hiraku’s son.

“Hi, I’m Haru.”(1) The blond smiled and bowed. “Nice to meet ya.” Sasuke looked in awe at the pair of sparkling sapphires before him. Those eyes filled with so much energy,

“Sasuke.” He bowed gently, his gaze never leaving the young boy’s eyes.

“I was just heading out to get some food. You wanna come with me?”

“Sure. Father will probably be busy for a very long time.” Haru grinned as he grabbed hold of Sasuke’s hand and led him to the front door. The raven blushed at the contact.

Sasuke stepped outside the front door. The house was gone and trees surrounded him. Cherry blossoms in full bloom. The blond skipped towards him, he was older now, seventeen. Haru leaped towards Sasuke, his arms embracing him.

“I missed you.” Their lips crashed. Tongues circled and danced, exploring the warmth of their mouths. Haru’s hands tangled themselves in long, dark hair. A soft moan escaped as Sasuke nibbled at his lip. They stared at each other, seemingly lost in the moment. A small gust of wind blew past them, bringing with it a whirlwind of blossom.

The sea of blossom thickened, separating the two lovers, blocking everything from sight. Slowly the torrent cleared. Another year had passed. Sasuke’s parents lay on the floor, their bodies swimming in an ocean of blood. Haru stood frozen, his blue eyes wide with terror. Pale arms encircled him.

Sasuke could only lay and watch as the pale man tilted the blond’s head to one side. Lips curled revealing a set of long, white fangs. The fangs plunged into his neck.

“Sasuke… run.” His voice was weak, those blue eyes slowly drained of their life.

“Nooooooooo, Haru!” The raven let out a horrifying scream. His body dripped with sweat, his breath ragged. Sasuke peeled the bed covers off him and walked to the bathroom. His hand reached for the shower dial. Icy cold water blasted from the showerhead. He crouched under the freezing water and let himself slide to the floor, his knees bent to his chest, arms folded around his legs.

Why do you haunt me now, Haru? Tears fell as he sobbed loudly. Memories of his first love flooded his mind. Because I was too weak to save you?

The morning light stung as Sai reached for the phone on his bedside table. Naruto laid asleep on a small futon in the corner of the room. He shifted in response to the ringing, his legs stretching, moving the blanket lower. The thin material showed clearly that morning wood had already set in. Sai glanced over at his friend; he looked so innocent in his sleep, so peaceful. He took the phone into the next room.

“Sasuke, nice of you to call me.”

“I’ll help him.”

“That’s good to hear. What changed your mind?” The line went dead.

Author's Notes:

(1)Haru - means "Sun"

:O Naughty Naruto! Not so straight now are we?

Yea, anyways, I can't think of anything to write here... writer's block on the author's notes?! There should be some kind of law against that. So, I'll just tuck myself into bed and go think dirty SasuNaru thoughts.

Hope you enjoyed it. Next chapter should be up in a weeks time. (Wont be exactly a week since it depends what day I have free next week, but you get the idea.)

Til next time, Ja ne!

(Did I just sign off in japanese?! Yaoi fangirl-ness is starting to rub off on me!!!)
