Don't hold your breath
Kakashi watched the men as they searched his house.
“I told you porn and moldy food” He smiled.
“We know he is here and he must be brought back to marry Hinata so the lands can be at peace.” One said.
Gaara sat in the room and sighed “I don’t like this.” He started to move a little.
Kakashi sighed and shook his head “When are you going to leave because I would love to cook some food.”
The main person of the search party took one last look around “Come he can not be to far away.
Kakashi made sure the men were a good distance away and opened the door where Gaara was at.
“Come on they are gone.”
Gaara walked out and looked at the man standing before him “Thank you.” he nodded his head.
“Where do you want to go now?”
“I don’t know. They are going to be looking for me for a while.”
“Then you can stay here.” Kakashi smiled as he began to prepare some food.
Gaara turned his gaze to the copy nin making food “Why did Naruto bring me here?”
“I couldn’t tell you maybe he thought it was a good hiding place.” Kakashi answered flipping some pancakes.
Gaara walked around into the kitchen and stood next to the older man “He said something about you taking care of me.”
If Gaara could see Kakashi’s face he would have seen the wonderful smile the man had and the fact his face was red.
“Why don’t we leave the leaf village and go some where else?” Gaara said quietly.
“Huh? what?” Kakashi was caught off guard.
“I have seen you watching me and I know if I stay in Suna and you stay here we will never be able to figure out why you have been watching me for so long.” Gaara put his pale hand on Kakashi’s wrist.
“So you want to run away with me and never look back. Is what your telling me.” He said.
“Yes.” the red head replied.
“If I leave, they will hunt me down and more than likely kill me.”
“Then we won’t get caught.”
“You have been around Naruto too long.”
“So no?”
Kakashi stopped a moment and began to think. He turned to Gaara and smiled “We don’t have to run away. We can enjoy what we have and see what tomorrow brings.”
Gaara smiled, as strange as it was and reached up to pull the mask down.
When Gaara pulled the mask down he saw a person bearing the old scars of battles long fought. He traced his hand down the one on his eye and smiled.
Kakashi knew that after tonight it would all end but he was going to enjoy it as much as he could. He turned the stove off and brought Gaara to his room and laid him on the bed.
Gaara looked at the man “I’ve never done this before.”
“Don’t worry.” Kakashi said with a smile.
