Ok so as you all know this story was started by Tachimaru, and I was asked to finish it with her...I know I haven’t added any chapters, but like with all my stories I kinda lost my muses for awhile, but the seem to have returned to me, so that’s a good thing I guess...hehehe...anyways I am sorry about the delay with this story, but hopefully I will be able to get the ball rolling, and make Tachimaru proud of how the story progresses from here.
On with the fic!
Chapter 4: No Mixing Business with Pleasure
Ok so, so far Naruto’s day had been going straight to hell. Starting with having to drag Gaara and Neji from their apartment this morning which caused him to be late to open the store like he was supposed to, then he ended up ruining, or at least partially ruining, some really gorgeous raven haired mans cell phone. Today was just not going to be his day, not to mention that he had found out that said gorgeous man was also the new guy.
“I’m really sorry about the cell phone, but I’m certain that it will still work after you dry it out.” Naruto was still apologizing even after he had opened the door to let everyone in and out of the rain.
“Don’t worry about it I can always just get a new one anyways. Besides it was time to upgrade the stupid thing anyways.” Sasuke replied trying really hard not to strangle the blond in front of him.
“Well I’m Naruto Uzumaki, and Iruka had asked me to show you the ropes today for the store Mr...” Naruto trailed off trying desperately to remember the name of the man in front of him, problem was he was horrible with names.
“Uchiha, Sasuke Uchiha. You can call me Sasuke if you’d like, I don’t really like the whole Mr. Uchiha thing, makes me feel like people are comparing me to my father.”
“Alright, Sasuke it is.” Naruto smiled brightly.
“Sorry to interrupt, but we still need everything downstairs opened too.” Came Shino’s quiet request from just behind Naruto.
“Right sorry about that guys. If you want to put your stuff in the office, its just down the hall, second door on your left is the one that Iruka cleaned up for you to use.” Naruto informed Sasuke, as he headed down to the basement with the other employees that had been with him. “I’ll be right back Sasuke.”
As everyone disappeared into the basement of the building, which Sasuke assumed was the employee kitchen and break room, he headed in the direction the blond had told him. He couldn’t quite stop his thought from wondering to said blond, and how beautiful his sky blue eyes had been. If Sasuke wanted to be honest with himself, he would have to say that Naruto was probably the most beautiful man he had ever seen. The only problem was that he was certain that the blond was straight, so there was no point in even thinking about the Dobe who had ruined his phone.
After placing his stuff in his office, Sasuke decided to look around a little before the customers started coming in. He just had time to make it to the front of the store, and had started to look over the different books, when he heard the blond behind him.
“Found your office ok?”
“Yes, thank you. So what happened to the rest of the staff, don’t they need to get some things done before people begin to show up?” Sasuke asked slightly confused at the fact that Naruto was the only one who had come back up from, what he thought was the break room.
“Nope, the only ones that work up here are you and me.” Naruto responded as he headed towards the register to get everything turned on.
“So then why are they here then?” Sasuke asked a little confused at the whole situation.
“They work in the basement; this is really two businesses in one. You don’t need to worry about it for now; if they need anything they’ll come and ask me, so just relax.”
Sasuke shrugged, and decided to go and set his office up the way he liked it before the customers began coming in. It didn’t miss Naruto’s notice that the ‘new guy’ hadn’t been told about the other half of the business that he was going to be taking over. Naruto just hoped that the guys wasn’t too shocked by what that was.
