A day out A close call
So I'll make this quick, there's a want add for a beta up in my profile please go read it see if your up for it.
So three more chapters and an epilogue, ^^ It's all done has been for a while I guess I'm just tired of writing, not meaning that I'm stopping(i wouldn't ever abandon a fic.) sorry to disappoint some of you. but I'm just taking my time, trying to get my love for it back.
I think after this is done I'll remake it. idk yet.

Over the next few weeks Naruto had cleaned out the den, moving the stuff from there to the attic, he pulled a cot in there. Shocking Neji when he said he would take the den and the Neko could have the bedroom. After finally moving his stuff down stairs, he was going to take Neji shopping to let the Neko get anything he may want or need. Moreover, giving Shikamaru and Sasuke a day alone. Though the two rarely left there bedroom so it was not as if they needed it...
In addition, Naruto was hoping, he could get Neji to open up a bit. He was attached to the Neko, but most of all he just wanted to see him happy maybe one smile before Naruto died of old age.
He stared up at the ceiling, he was waiting for the Neko to get up, and so they could go. He also needed to get a fan for the den, the air didn’t work in here and it was hot. Naruto sat up and pulled his shirt off throwing it on the floor, before he lay back down. 'Defiantly need to get a fan today.'

Neji stopped outside of the den; he was supposed to get Naruto up when he was ready. Nevertheless, he did not want to, he did not want to go into the other males’ room. What if Naruto tried something? Its not like Neji could say no. surely Naruto would demand it, after everything he had done, he was bound to want something in return.
With a large amount of hesitation Neji slowly looked through the small gap in the door, his cheeks taking a sight red tent, the blond-haired male was stretching, with no shirt on. He could see every inch of muscle moving. Blue meet lilac as Neji timidly stepped back.
Naruto smiled as he jumped off the bed. "You ready?"
"Yes." Neji answered as he turned away.
"Right." Naruto grinned, as he quickly got dressed.
Stepping out of his room and next to the Neko. Neji flinched when naruto lifted his hand, holding back a sigh when the male patted his head "let’s go." Naruto grinned, he had the urge just to play with those ears, but he would not, he did not what to upset the Neko even more.
Naruto started out when he got to the door, there was a note from Sasuke of things the raven wanted. Naruto grabbed the note his left eyebrow twitching. "It wouldn’t kill him just to ask." He half yelled, hoping Sasuke would hear.
Neji stared at the blond-haired male, as the male shoved the paper in his pocket. "Why do you care?" Neji shoot his hand up over his mouth he didn’t mean to say anything.
Naruto stopped and turned to the Neko. As he scratched the back of his head. "Well he and Shikamaru are my family, but you are now too." Naruto turned back around, a light blush covering scarred cheeks. "So if there’s something you want just tell me."
Neji stared down at the ground as he followed the blond-haired male. 'A family.' they were a family? Naruto cared didn’t he. On the other hand, he was just an idiot. Alternatively, a caring idiot, that one made a bit more sense. He was not sure though, he did not know what to do. He supposed nothing then he would find out if there was a catch eventually. Right?

They left the store after the owner agreed to delivery everything they bought. Really, Naruto just bought anything the Neko looked at. Hoping it would help Neji feel more at home. Naruto sighed softly he would be putting in more over time... well when his suspension was over.
"Now to get Sasuke's stuff." Naruto looked at the list," pocky, those weird books he likes, more smokes." Naruto paused Shikamaru must have wrote the please and thank you next to it." lube..."Naruto blushed slightly, "why do I have to buy there lube?" the blond grumbled, not like he needed to be reminded that Sasuke got lucky and he did not. The Teme purposely put that on here surly…
Neji arched a brow, shaking his head slightly at the males pouting. he was not sure why the male was pouting, maybe over the money he just spent but Neji tried to protest, instead of getting in trouble he just got a pout worse then the one now, and the male bought those things regardless.
It was a waste of money on most of it. Not that somewhere deep in his mind he was a bit grateful for the small things he got. He never had anyone spend anything on him, he was unsure on how to react towards any of it.
He should say thank you, which would be the right thing to do, but...
Naruto stopped when they came to the cross walk the light being red. His eyes briefly widened as he quickly grabbed the Neko and pulled him into his arms when the male nearly walked out into oncoming traffic. "Are you trying to get ran over." he did not mean to yell, but fuck, the Neko almost gave him a heart attack.
Neji looked at the male who was frowning at him. He looked over to see all the cars passing by. He was not paying attention, he just… Neji griped the males’ shoulders as be berried his head in the blonds’ chest. It was ok right. It was ok to try to believe in Naruto. So many times though, could he take anymore?
Naruto's eyes softened as he wrapped his arms around the smaller male. "Are you ok?"
Neji did not say anything or move; he would rather die, then suffer through being used again. However, the little voice in the back of his head was telling him it was ok…but still…
"Hey I have an idea." Naruto smiled, “how about we have a barbeque tonight. You can see my awesome grilling skills." Naruto’s smile turned into a grin.
"Ok." Neji pulled away and started walking when the light turned green; he was confused that being an understatement, Naruto’s arms felt safe something he had no clue how to react too.
"To the grocery store then." Naruto threw his hands up; he could not help it he felt like celebrating. Neji spoke to him even touched him; he threw his arms in the air. "This is going to be fun." It counted as a major victory on his part and it was in need of a celebration.
