Hearts Entangled by fate

A/N: Possibly one of the quickest updates I've pulled it's the same damn morning I know But I really wanted to get to this chapter, It's been brought to my attention by my single reviewing body that Naruto couldn't possibly know Hinata blushes like that only when he's around, This is true so I will be correcting the mistake on my part soon. He was supposed to meet up with Neji again this morning and they were supposed to train with Hinata again, but he wasn't sure how to approach her now, he wanted to know what she really thought if Neji had been honest. He had noticed the shy girl before he had thought she was cute but dismissed any thoughts of her liking him because of her family being so important. what was he supposed to do? Just ask her if she liked him? No....He couldn't. then it hit him. He would ask advice from someone but from who? Kakashi? No he spent all of his time reading those "books" of his. He would most likely give bad advice. Then another thought hit him, maybe it WAS because he'd been too busy chasing her up to this point that he didn't think to ask Sakura for advice on how to approach this. she was a girl so, who better to ask than her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Another day of training Hinata thought, she was ready for the day already at least physically, she had already taken her shower for the morning, gotten dressed, and gotten her equipment together, but Mentally she was far from prepared she was going to be training with Neji and Naruto again, there was something about training with Naruto that she was never prepared for, part of her was looking forward to it, a chance to be near him again, even if he wouldn't notice her, another part of her was scared to death for some reason. She had liked him so long she didn't know why she was so nervous about being around him still. there were some things that will never change she thought to herself as she got ready to get something to eat before going for the training. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Naruto set about finding Sakura she was usually already out and starting her day by this time, so he started his search where he would for any woman. The marketplace, she liked shopping, and to his dismay often became the bag boy. this time though he had good reason to seek her out while shopping. He found her at a store that carried several herbs that could be used to make medicines. "Sakura?" for the first time in his life Naruto sounded almost timid himself, How was he supposed to ask for help with this, it was harder to think of a plan now that he was here. "Naruto, what do you want" she said as if she was in a hurry. He swallowed hard before finally speaking "Sakura I need some advice" he said quietly head hanging ashamed that he had to ask for help with anything. "I think that's a first" she said somewhat shocked herself. "well what do you need for advice" "Can we go somewhere and talk?" he asked his head still down. she thought for a moment, Naruto seemed absolutely depressed this morning, what could possibly get him of all people down like this. she wondered. "Well lets go get something to eat we can talk over breakfast" normally she wouldn't ever offer ANYTHING that he could take as a date but he seemed like he needed some honest advice he never seemed depressed like this as long as he had known her very few things really upset him, Loss of friends, usually being a big one, or if anyone took life for granted he would get upset, but as far as she knew there was nothing that could be eating at him so breakfast it was. The two of them wandered around for a bit before she chose the place to eat it was a small restaurant, but the food was good and even better than that it was cheap they ordered before she finally spoke to him "Whats on your mind Naruto, you seem a little down" She was starting to honestly worry about him the thought of food should have lifted his spirits some. "Well you see, it's, well..." he was frustrated already trying to explain but he continued "if..well, I" He sighed and took a breath then tried again "I wanted to know if you could help me with this, I want to ask Hinata if she really likes me, I mean she is pretty, and she is nice to me, and Neji told me yesterday that she loves me, and I want to know if that's true but I don't know how to go about asking her if she really does" He looked up his clear blue eyes nearly pleading for help So that's it she thought, he's confused about how she feels and how he feels. Maybe this could be good for him. "Well I guess I can help you figure something out but first I want to ask you something, What do you think of her?" "Well she is nice, she is pretty, I don't think she has a bad meaning bone in her body." he thought for a moment but his thoughts were interrupted Sakura in a slightly harsher tone spoke "that's not what I meant, I mean if she was to disappear tomorrow what would you feel" She saw him actually cringe at the thought, "well I, I would be upset, Shes a really good friend, and I want to know a little more about her I mean I've known her this long and all I know is that shes a timid girl, who's nice to me, has been nice to me as long as I've known her..." Sakura rolled her eyes "I mean do you think you love her back? I don't want to set you up to talk to her and then have you break her heart you know." Naruto looked up at Sakura again, "I think I might and I just didn't realize it." The tone of his voice indicated that he was VERY sincere in his answer. "Okay then Naruto I have a plan" she said smiling. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It was almost time to start training and Naruto hadn't shown up, it wasn't like him not to show up without notice, Hinata was worried, Neji thought was only worried that it might be because of what he had told the blond ninja, Neji told Hinata to wait at the training ground he was going to see if he could find Naruto and find out what was holding him up and if it had anything to do with what he had told his friend...Neji stopped for a second his...friend? that idea was a bit new to him considering Naruto to be his friend, but he continued searching it didn't take long he found the blond ninja not far from the fields heading that way with his hands behind his back holding something. He had a huge smile on his face, Neji jumped down next to him "Naruto what's been taking you so long, it's not like you to be late" Neji in a semi-serious tone. "Well you see I thought about what you told me last night and I realized something so this morning I had to do something first before I could come to do any training, I kinda need a favor too" the blond scratched his back over his shoulder in his 'well this is awkward' kinda way. Neji raised an eyebrow "What is it that you need from me" "Well you see I wanted to talk to Hinata, and I kinda want to do this alone" Naruto stated a nervous waver in his voice. "I even got her something" as he brought his hand from behind his back enough for Neji to see a nice little bouquet of flowers, "I didn't expect you to be the type to do the flower thing" Neji was a little more than honestly shocked Naruto smiled "I had some help with how to do this" "well I'll just take a quick 10 minute walk before the training, tell Hinata I'll be there shortly?" Neji could feel the smile crawling up his own face. "Thank you Neji." Naruto bowed a bit then quickly continued his walk toward the training grounds. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Naruto wondered more now what he was gonna say when he got there, He and Sakura had talked about it but it was horrifying now that he was getting close to actually doing this and he kept forgetting what he had planned to say he kept trying to prepare for this his eyes shifted up seeing Hinata in the training field ahead he walked toward her Now he thought to himself *now I think I know what she feels Like I think I might pass out* "H-Hinata-chan?" he was clearly nervous he of all people rarely stuttered She looked up and her Index fingers immediately found there way to each other in they way they seem to every time shes nervous "Naruto" her voice soft "Hinata I wanted to say something.." He paused for a second he lost his words he continued though he wasn't sure what he was going to say "Hinata...I think I realized something yesterday...and well I" He paused again frustrated at his lack of words for the situation he slowly pulled his hand out from behind his back "these are for you" he said slightly flushed himself this time Hinata was dumbstruck her face turned every shade of red. "Naruto?" "I think I like you Hinata. I well I ended up thinking about it last night and I realized I like you" Hinata took a minute to process what Naruto had just said to her She had tried so hard to get his attention over the years she had never planned on what she would do if he DID actually notice her...or what she would say to him. she slowly approached him and took the flowers he was not holding out for her and after a moment ended up with her arms around him in a hug, she didn't know she was going to hug him, it just sort of happened and impulse really, Though now she was kind of scared that his reaction might not be favorable, But his hands came up around her as well and there they stood together, a moment Hinata had only dreamed of, and dreamed of a lot really. "Hinata I..." Naruto couldn't find his words. He had intended on giving her the flowers and asking her to go to dinner with him after the training but things were already going differently than he had expected he didn't expect her to hug him, though he liked the feeling she was soft and warm her touch was gentle, "Naruto I, I don't know what to say" Hinata speaking in barely a whisper now if he hadn't been paying attention he would have mistaken it for a breeze passing by. they finally broke apart and Naruto tried his question again "Hinata would you, well, maybe if it's not much trouble, would you go to dinner with me after we finish training...on me?" She couldn't speak it was as if a lump had formed in her throat she didn't expect any of this she nodded a silent yes in place of the words that just weren't there. Neji was watching from the distance the biggest smile he had ever had crawled across his face. He had hoped to get Narutos attention on her with what he had told his blond friend, but he hadn't expected it to go this well. ~~~~~~~~~~~*The Hokages office*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "WHATTT" Tsunade was furious she couldn't trust half of her Anbu members because of their allegiance with Danzou, Her very loyal members had just informed her that Danzous operatives were in fact acting strangely and that they suspected they might be doctoring their reports. "Miss Tsunade, we also have reason to believe believe there is one more rogue operative that is in the plannings to bring down our great city with the help of Danzou though we do not know their location yet" The masked man in front of her spoke, his voice flat. "Alright keep me updated, this is now a priority to gather information on this rogue operative if you find any new please let me know immediately." "Yes tsunade-sama" the masked man vanished without a trace.
