Ok so like I said in the last chapter, because of my lack of internet, not to mention the fact that I am going be moving at the end of July you guys will be getting multiple updates for most if not all the stories that I have on the go at the moment...

Well on with the fic....

Chapter 4

Naruto woke up feeling stiff, and sore. Most likely as a result of a werewolf tackling him, and let’s not forget the whole passing out, not once, but twice. The gods must hate him right now.

“Man, and here I thought that my biggest problem at the moment, is my whore of an ex-girlfriend.” Naruto grumbled as he swung his legs over the side of his bed. “Guess I should go and check on my new house guest.” He sighed as he got up and headed towards his living room.

“Yes sir, I understand, I’ll take care of it from here sir.” With that said, Sasuke hung up his phone, and noticed Naruto standing in the entrance to the living room.

“Sorry I didn’t mean to eavesdrop on your conversation.”

“That’s ok, I was just talking to my boss. I need to confirm a few things, that’s all.”

“I see.”
“I need to make sure that I had permission to continue with my mission, considering the circumstances.”

“Permission?” Naruto questioned as he came to sit with Sasuke on the couch bed.

“To tell you the truth, about my mission.” Sasuke replied, not able to look the blond in the face. This was really the last thing he wanted to do, but he really had no choice, he just hoped that Naruto would understand, and not think him some sort of crazy stalker.

“Your mission?”

“Me being there last night, it wasn’t a coincidence. I was ordered to follow you, and make sure that nothing managed to hurt you. I work for a group known only as the Hunters. We are a secret organization that was constructed to protect humanity from the things that go bump in the night.”

“But why would you be sent only to keep an eye on me, what makes me so special?” Naruto asked, not really believing Sasuke.

“I was never told the reason just that I had to make sure that you stayed safe, and alive. I wasn’t the only one sent to watch over you. You see, I was only supposed to watch you from a distance, I was never supposed to make contact with you.”

“So like a silent guardian then?”

“I guess you could call it that. My partner was the one who made contact, but she’s been removed from the mission because of what happened last night.” Sasuke continued, glad to see that Naruto hadn’t starting freaking out on him, or passing out for that matter.

“Who was it?” The blond asked, a little worried to hear the answer, but still needing to know.

“Sakura. Your now ex-girlfriend, she had been chosen to make contact, however, she obviously was not the proper choice.”

“I had a feeling that she never really liked me, or wanted to be with me. Makes sense now as to why.”

“You’re not upset that she was just with you because of the mission?” Sasuke asked looking up at Naruto for the first time throughout the conversation. He couldn’t figure out why he seemed so calm about everything.

“No, she was always distant with me, and treated me like shit all the time. This makes me glad, because this at least explains what the problem was, and not that I was a bad boyfriend.” Naruto replied with a small smile on his face.

“Yes well I stopped in to see how everything was going last night, however, she decided that she was going to throw herself at me, which was why I was a little late, coming to stop that werewolf.”

“So you slept with her last night.” It was more a statement then a question. Naruto was a little saddened by that prospect, seeing as he had tried for 2 months to do anything with her, and all she would let him do was give her a kiss on the cheek.

“DEAR GODS NO!” Sasuke screamed, nearly falling off the couch at what was just said. He quickly grabbed the blonds hand in his own, and began to move his thumb over the mark that was there. “I would never sleep with her, she’s known as a public utility at headquarters, so be glad you never got to do anything with her. Besides, she was always really annoying at least she always managed to drive me nuts.”

“You know, now that you mention it, she really was rather annoying.” Naruto chuckled. He didn’t know why but hearing that Sasuke had not slept with Sakura made him feel better. He hadn’t been upset about Sakura sleeping with Sasuke, but more at the thought of the raven being with someone other than him. Wait did you just think that just now? He was straight, wasn’t he, he never once thought of a guy as being attractive, but then again, the more he looked over at Sasuke, the more he realized that he was developing feeling for him.

“You have no idea.” Replied the raven with a slight chuckle of his own. He was glad to see that Naruto hadn’t pulled his hand away, and was content to keep the blonds hand for as long as he could.

“So now what? I mean, we found out yesterday that with these marks on our hands, we can’t exactly go very far from each other, and I do have a job that I am supposed to be going to tomorrow.”

“As for your job...you won’t need to go to it anymore.” Sasuke stated hesitantly.

“What?”

“It would be too difficult for me to go with you, and it would also cause a lot of questions, that we don’t even really have any answers for.”

“Ok, so then what am I going to do now? I mean I still need to pay rent and groceries.”

“You won’t have to worry about that anymore. You’ll be worker as a hunter, and I have been instructed to train you as one.”

“What!?” Naruto screamed, nearly falling off the couch, which if it hadn’t been for Sasuke’s hand he would have landed on the floor.

It was a good thing that Sasuke had quick reflexes, because he stopped the blond from falling, and quickly pulled him into his arms. As strange as the new feelings were for Naruto, he actually was feeling really relaxed and comfortable, laying there in Sasuke’s arms. He couldn’t remember ever feeling like this before, even in the arms of some of his ex’s, and he really didn’t want to have to move anytime soon.

“You going to be ok?” Sasuke asked the still wide eyed blond in his arms. “I know this isn’t easy to accept, but I want you to know that I’ll do everything I can to keep you safe, and I will also be the one training you, so that is one less thing to worry about.”

Sasuke didn’t know how or why, but he had become quite attached to the blond. He had been jealous of the time that Sakura had gotten to spend with him recently, and had been happy to see Naruto break up with her.

Before he could stop himself, Sasuke lend down and placed a small, tender kiss to the top of Naruto’s unruly blond locks. He felt Naruto stiffen slightly, and pulled back quickly.

“Sorry.” Was all he could really say.

“It’s just I’ve always been attracted to women, and as comfortable as I feel right now, I’m not really sure what to make of the feelings I have. Something is telling me that this is ok, but at the same time another part of me is telling me it’s not, if that makes any sense to you at all.”

“Well we have lots of time to try and figure this out we can go as slow as you want. Sound good?” Sasuke asked somewhat hopeful, he still hadn’t let go of Naruto.

“Ok, I guess we could do that.” Naruto responded, a little unsure of everything.

“Is it ok if we stay like this a little longer?”

“Considering everything that has happened, and everything you have told me in the last two days, I’m not planning on moving anytime soon.”

Sasuke hugged Naruto closer, and was happy to feel Naruto snuggle closer to him. The two sat quietly, enjoying each others company.

A/N ok so as promised the next chapter of the story is ready and posted...hope you like this part, its more to bring Sasuke and Naruto together, and hopefully there should be some action in the next chapter...as always pls R&R...XD
