Crazy Witch...

Leaning back in the booth Naruto smiled as Iruka placed a cup of tea down in front of him and Asuma. "Enjoy your day off Naruto, tomorrow I need you to help me out at the Library if you don't mind."

Naruto's lips twitched. "Not at all. I sort of like it!"

"Pfft, who would have known our Naruto was such a bookworm?" Asuma huffed on his cigarette before catching Iruka's annoyed glance. He shied away in fear of the man whom might snatch his second-to-last cancer stick from his mouth.

Shrugging the blond didn't seem to be offended. "You have to remember Iruka's my foster father so I basically grew up in a bookworms environment. Not to mention the other strangely similar family members."

Iruka snorted in amusement with his hands on his hips. "Jiraiya may be the only one among us who has successfully published a whole series, but his crap is rubbish. I've tried to no avail on pulling Kakashi's head out of that trash. It shows just how much of dogs they really are."

"Speaking of dogs..." Naruto's face fell when he saw Kiba enter the front of the shop. Sinking down into his seat he inwardly groaned as the other spotted him. Yeah he had blown off the other, but he hadn't felt like being around Kiba today at all. The boiserious boy was only tollerable in small amounts.

Kiba came clamoring over throwing an arm around Iruka's shoulder in a half-hug. "Did Naruto tell you the great news?"

Blinking, Iruka's face lit up. "Oh what's that?"

The teenager grinned showing off his canines totally oblivious to Naruto's seething glare. "Naruto dumped Sakura's ass!"

It was like it all happened in a fluid movement. The tension snapped -Naruto rose, Iruka frowned and Asuma's eyes widened.

"Isn't that great?!"

"Shut. Up!" The blond barked.

Dumbass Kiba seemed to be the only one confused. He opened his mouth to say something, but Iruka's hand covered it.

"Sit over here and I'll bring you something to drink. Just stay quiet." Iruka placed Kiba at a stool across from the Cocoa machine.

Naruto went to move when Iruka snapped his fingers, "Ah-ah! You sit down right where you were. I'll be back in a moment to hear this straight from the source."

Slumping back into the seat Naruto hit his head on the table. "Noooooooo..."

Asuma toked in the rest of his cigarette while he still could before mother-hen would arrive and surely eradicate his comforting feeling induced by the hazardous tobacco. Holding it in for an extra moment he blew it out and sunk deep into the cushions of the booth. Iruka arrived soon after tending to Kiba.

Sitting beside the calm smoky smelling man Iruka wrinkled his nose. He clasped his hands on the table in front of him and peered intently at Naruto's messy hair on his tabletop. "Up."

As if something had possessed him Naruto's head came up at the command. A technique Iruka had long sense achieved through disciplining his adopted son. "Spill."

"Sakura left me last night..."

Sighing Iruka's hands ran through his own hair. The truth was had to hear alright. "What happened? Did she say?"

Eyebrows knitting together in dismay Naruto recounted the exchange back at the apartment up to where Naruto had slammed the door shut. He wasn't in the mood to tell his father he had ripped off his closet door...

They all sat in silence and Iruka suddenly stood taking away all the dishes and re-appearing with a plate of cheese cake. He placed it under Naruto's lowered head. "Eat."

"I..."

Iruka frowned. He was sure if he made the boy sit upright there would be tears in his eyes.

"I tried my best." And those watery blue eyes hit Iruka like a force stronger then a speeding train. The mother-hen melted into the seat next to Naruto to sooth his only child with a comforting pat on his back.

Kiba made a grumbling noise of disappointment that nobody but him thought Naruto should celebrate. An unholy glare from Iruka shut him up quickly.

"I tried my best, but everything turns to shit!" Naruto hit his leg in unfocused anger.

"Shhhh, that's not true. Not true at all. I think you're doing very good for a boy at your age Naruto. Not even most eightteen-year-old's are living on their own and paying for online schooling! If Sakura couldn't handle it then it's for the best son." That last comment made the young boy let out a groan of pain. "Tell you what, you can move back in with me?"

"No!" Naruto's head shot back up. "I'm good really! You do so much for me already! I don't want to be an inconvenience!"

"It's not an inconvenience at all! Don't you ever think that of your family."

Blushing Naruto hid the few tears that had broken away. Why'd he feel so damn girly and weak in these type of situations? Hell he had a knife to his throat a half-hour ago and didn't even think of crying, but when something personal as relationships come up he'd get all mushy.

"Tell you what. How bout I come over there and we can clean the place up a bit? Replace some things and make it good as new. Get all your laundry done and go out for ramen?"

Naruto's eyes lit up.

"But before then go off for a bit so I can finish up and close early."

Exiting the Tea Shop Naruto sucked in a breath of fresh air. Kiba appeared beside him with a frown.

"I'm sure you're acting more girly then Sakura would be about this."

"Probably..." The blond turned and slugged Kiba right in the upper-arm area. The boy hissed and Naruto grinned. "And that's more boyish of me!"

The two bickered and argued down the block past Ichiraku, Chouji's parents bakery shop, and Ino's parents flower shop to get to the strange looking shop at the end. Another of Naruto's favorite shops to enter. The Herbal & Mystic Shop.

Shelves upon shelves of bottled objects, bagged items, crystals, cards, globes, almost anything imaginable! Ever since it had opened a month ago he couldn't stop from entering to see all the new and cool things! It was like the local library, always filled with surprises. Kiba also enjoy poking and peeking around the jammed filled cubby holes.

A snorting noise drew their attention to a small pig laying atop the register counter. Just behind the happy pig sat a young woman whom greeted them enthusiastically.

"Hey Shizune is the old hag in?"

The curtain separating the back from the front was drawn aside away as Tsunade appeared with an irritated look. "There you are twerp! I've been expecting you."

Naruto's eyebrow rose in questioning. "You have?"

"Oh yes, I foresaw this."

Kiba stifled a laugh behind Naruto's back. The blond didn't blame him. Tsunade always acted a bit off her rocker, but was quick to temper and heavy on her liquor. "So if you foresaw this you know why I came?"

Tsunade's lips twitched in annoyance. "You didn't come here with a purpose, but you came here with a broken heart."

That had Naruto sobering up from his fit of giggles. His face screamed bewildered. "H-how did you know that?"

Stepping aside Tsunade swept open the curtains, gesturing for him to enter the back. "Let's not go into that detail. But I do know why you came here, what your mind is begging me to help you with."

Hesitating Naruto looked from the next room to Tsunade. "What?"

The blond woman gave a lop-sided smile. "Finding your soulmate."
