"How to Pry"
"Oh,my..." said a voice,as I stepped out of the hallway. I straightened my clothes out,and then searched for the person that it belonged to.
"Up here," the voice called again. I turned around.
"Where? Where?" I frowned, turning my head in every direction. A set of hands placed themselves on my shoulder, and a warm voice spoke from behind me.
"Here I am. Prin~cess,"
"Kyaaa!"
I spun on my heel, and brought my knee up to kick my stalker in the gut. Two hands grabbed the underside and top of my knee, preventing me from bending my leg.
"Hello," my eyes were met with a face that was smiling. I dropped my leg,and looked gave him a mild look. 'Hm...So it was this guy...'
"Sai,right?" I asked uncertainly. The pale boy gave a slight nod, while the strange smile remained plastered on his face. "Cut that out," I told him,and stared at him seriously until the expression melted away. His cold, black hues bore into mine; the smile that was once there was now a simple line. "You're from the Foundation, aren't you? I can tell by your attire,"
"I am," Sai answered. Even the gentle tone of his voice had become flattened to a drone. "As are you. I am curious as to how you managed to get there, being the daughter of the fifth Hokage,"
His quick conclusion had thrown me off gaurd. How had he caught on more quickly than the others?
"Hmph,well...that's not important right now. And I suggest...you keep your questions to yourself". The smile returned to the boy's face, but I was done making nice with him.
"Don't worry. I will not expose you,Princess,"
Something about his words had made me uncomfortable. I left him there, though, and made my way out of the building.
Back to my home.
Back to my story.
*Flashback*
"Hero!"
"Hatori!"
"I finished the picture!" Hatori exclaimed, running across the field to where I stood. As he approached me,I brought the book in my hands out from behind my back.
"Um...Hatori. I haven't finished the story yet. Can you wait a bit longer?"
"S-sure," he replied, while trying to catch his breath. I sighed. We had to do this quickly; it was about to rain. "Alright, close your eyes..." Hatori told me,grinning from ear to ear as he held the paper away from my sight. I rolled my eyes, but closed them anyway,as he'd instructed.
"Alright! Open!"
I opened my eyes, already blurry though they'd only been closed for a second. The wind picked up,and blew across the trees,as I lowered my eyes to the picture. On the left, was a drawing of who I assumed to be Hatori. He held a picture book in one hand. In his free hand,he held the hand of a girl who wore a crown. The sky around them was indigo, and the grown below was covered in flowers. A pink heart-shape hovered above the two of them. I studied their smiling faces, before looking up at Hatori with a smile of my own.
"Hatori...is this...?"
"It's you," he pointed his finger to the girl with the crown. "You're a princess in our world. You're a real hero, and the world is calm where we rule,"
"Where we rule?" tears stung my eyes.
"W-well,I'm not good with making up storylines. I was hoping that after you saw this picture, you'd be inspired to write a story. I'll even draw more pictures for it. It'll be the story of our world,Hero. What do you think?"
"I think..." I brushed away a rolling tear before it could hit the paper. "It's a great idea,Hatori. I'll do it..."
/end Flashback
I stared at the drawing set neatly in a frame on the desk by my bed. 'I'll write the best story ever' I told myself. Even now,I still heard his words echoing in my head.
"You be the author, and I'll be the artist! Hero!"
"And together,we'll create a world of fiction..."
My reminiscing was suddenly interrupted by a sudden knock on the front door. Reluctantly,I stood up and walked out of the room; leaving the past behind me for only a moment.
