Hinata's Decision, Hanabi's Secret
The sun was bright and the weather clear when the girls started out on the trail back to Konoha. Kuchi, Atchi and Tenchi were all very impressed when they could see the city from the southern overpass.
"Is that Konoha?! Look how big it is!" Kuchi squealed.
"It's so pretty! Is that where we're going?" Tenchi asked.
Hinata giggled a little, continuing to walk along side Richi who, in one night, had become to her what Shizune was Tsunade: A right hand woman and good confidant. Hinata had also learned, when she was changing her clothes this morning, there was a scar going down Richi's back...It was then, without even having to ask, she knew Richi had been the child who'd almost become Byakko's new vessel. Knowing that, she felt instantly closer. Two hours later, they reached Konoha, a few ANBU squad eagerly welcoming Hinata and her guests. People stared at Hinata, saying helloes and welcome backs. Kuchi, Tenchi and Atchi had never lived in a huge village since theirs was destroyed before they were born, so they were a little nervous. They kept close to Hinata and Richi who were walking side-by-side. Tsunade was trying to shake off a major hangover when the knocking on her door came.
"Ughhhhh...come in..."
When she saw Hinata stick her head in, unharmed, nonetheless, she sobered up as much as possible.
"Hinata-San! Welcome back. Did you find what you were looking for?"
Hinata shook her head.
"Not quiet, buuuut..."
She motioned for the girls to enter. All four did, obviously very nervous and in shock of...well, what a slob and what big breasts the Godaime was and had. Tsunade stood up, the world spinning before it finally settled again.
"You must be from Yukigakure."
"Um...um...hai, Godaime-Sama...!" Richi bowed.
"We love your city!" Kuchi bowed.
"It's really nice and well-kept!" Atchi said, bowing as well.
"SORRY FOR WHAT WE DID TO THE OTHER GONNIN!" Tenchi suddenly panicked.
The sisters looked at Tenchi with pure fear in their eyes now. Tsunade walked from around her desk and sat on it with a smirk.
"Guilty conscious? You guys can relax, I've heard about what you've done and Hinata-San, I assume that you have taken all of the proper measures to ensure they can be trusted?"
"Hai, Godaime."
"Very well. Well, you girls are welcome here, but first thing's first, fix our goddamned Gonnin. They are taking up hospital beds."
Richi really didn't know what to say at this point...Weren't Hokages or any Kages refined, professional and well...didn't reek of booze? Richi reached into her sleeve and pulled out a small scroll. It glowed before erupting into small flames.
"There, all done, though...Now, it all depends on wether or not they have the will to awaken from these dreams now that they are no longer forcibly there." Tsunade said, before Richi could say it.
The sisters looked as if the felt terrible and who could blame them?
"I leave them to you, Hinata-San. Do you plan on returning to Yukigakure?"
"Yes. Once I have trained with them enough, I will return and try and salvage what I can of the city. Tsunade-Sama, I also ask if you will lend us some of your strongest men to help rebuild the city."
Tsunade groaned. All she wanted was this damn headache to go away, but could see as a Yukikage, Hinata was learning one of the most important rules; Never be afraid to ask your allies for help. She waved dismissively and nodded.
"Take all the men, tools, seeds and whatever else you need, just make sure you do the paperwork for it all and send it back to be when you get back to Yukikagure."
The girls looked at one another in pure excitement. They were actually going to get their village rebuilt and not have to wait any longer! This, of course, made Atchi step forward.
"With all due respect, Godaime-Hime-Sama..."
Tsunade smirked a little. This girl she liked.
"I am afraid you cannot trust Hiashi Hyuuga...Being he was the one who orchestrated the entire kidnapping. I also believe he is up to something else, but what, we are not sure."
Tsunade glowered a little bit, but knew the girl was telling the truth. She sighed and nodded.
"Very well. Before you leave, I want you four to return to me and tell me all you know. How long do you plan on staying?"
"Just a week or so."
"Will you be taking your child with you as well, Hinata-Chan?"
"CHILD?!" the sisters asked.
Hinata blushed a little bit and abashedly scratched the back of her head.
"Oh, I forgot to mention that...Don't worry, we'll have time to see him."
"And what of Naruto-Kun? Our ANBU haven't found any trace of him." Tsunade sighed.
Where there is ice there is fire, where there is Byakko, there is Kyuubi...Hinata looked at Tsunade.
"I plan on searching for him ASAP."
"Very well. You girls are excused."
Hinata and her new bodyguards, so to speak, headed around the village to round up farmers, animals, seeds, food and equipment. It wasn't until noon that Sakura had even learned of Hinata's return from Tsunade.
"WHAT?! What do you mean she's back?"
Tsunade felt like slamming her head into the desk would have been less painful. How do you get rid of a hangover headache?
"Sakura...don't scream...Anyway...Hinata returned earlier this morning with four girls from the village. They recognize her as their Yukikage, which is all that matters. I doubt their loyalty will waver."
"After what they did to us...?!"
"Sakura, we must learn to give people second chances. You don't even know their reasoning for what they did."
Sakura bit her lip. Tsunade was right...But still, it didn't keep her from feeling the way she did.
"Did she say where she was going?"
"Just to collect all they'd need before they returned to Yukigakure. I may just send you out there for a while as well."
"Me...?" Sakura pointed to her chest.
Tsunade pushed a piece of paper her way and sighed.
"You'll be dispatched to Yukikagure to train one of Hinata's apprentices in medical jutsu. I for one, suggest you train Atchi-San. Richi-San is the oldest and very much to Hinata what you are to me: My confident and friend."
Sakura picked up the paper with a small, happy blush. Tsunade thought of her as a friend...Sakura nodded and smiled.
"Thank you, Tsunade-Sama."
"Get ready to pack up, even though Hinata said she isn't leaving for a week. Also,"
Tsunade looked at Sakura and sighed a little.
"I want you to find out all you can about Hinata's little sister and her new little boyfriend. You know, the Inazuka boy."
"Kiba-Kun...?!"
Sakura had to admit, she was a little bit surprised. What did Tsunade want with Hanabi and Kiba? As Tsunade had read her thoughts, she said,
"I know that they are closest to Hiashi Hyuuga. Well, Hanabi-Chan is. Kiba has his jutsus that I can put to good use for keeping tabs on him as well. Make you send a messenger to summon both of them for me."
"Will do." Sakura turned to leave.
Sakura walked past Sasuke's room, her eyes on the paper. Her eyes widened and she slowly backtracked, looking into the room.
"S...Sasuke-Kun...?"
He was sitting up in the bed, looking out of the window with almost a lost expression on his face, so she wasn't sure if he'd heard her.
"Sasuke-Kun...!"
Sasuke's head slowly turned as he saw the beautiful, pink-haired kunoichi approach his bed.
"Sakura."
She leaped onto the bed, wrapping her arms around his neck as tears began to flow down her cheeks.
"Sasuke-Kuuuun...! You're awake! I can't believe it! I...hmm...?"
She could feel him grab her shoulders and push her back gently. His dark eyes stared into those filled with light and joy and happiness.
"Sasuke-Kun...?"
What worried her was that she couldn't read the expression on his face. It was somewhere between angry and yet, uncertain. Had she done something to annoy him again...? Finally, after an agonizing five minutes of just staring at her, he looked at her stomach then back up at her eyes.
"TenTen told me you were sent to retrieve me and the rest of the squad. Baka...! What would make you think to agree to something like that?"
He was chastising her? Sakura instantly felt her heart sink.
"B...but I..."
"If something had happened to the baby, then what?"
Sakura's eyes widened as a blush ran across her face.
"Y...you know?"
"Of course I do, baka...You're so damn annoying sometimes..."
He sighed, pulling her unexpectedly into his arms with a sigh, wrapping his arms tightly around her.
"Sakura...don't do anything dangerous anymore, dammit."
"Hai, Sasuke-Kun..." she whimpered, tears bathing beneath her cheeks once more.
He gently pulled her hair down to tilt her chin upwards. Slowly, he kissed her, pulling her delicate body to his own as if trying to make them into one, whole being. Sakura clenched at his kimono and he broke the kiss, whispering to her,
"...A dream...could never compare to the one I have in front of me right now."
Sakura let the floodgates break free as tears ran rapidly down her cheeks.
"Sasuke-Kun...!"
Her eyes widened when she suddenly found herself on her back, Sasuke hovering over her. His shoulders were already falling out of his kimono and she blushed as he looked at her with pure, unbridled lust in his eyes.
"I...I've been living a dream for almost a month, Sakura...Now, I want to feel you...feel how real you are."
Sakura blushed, her eyes widening in panic.
"But...! The baby...! Plus, what if someone walks in...?!"
"The baby will be fine...We can have sex until the third trimester, right?"
Sakura turned her head a little, not wanting to look him directly in his eye. He was right. But here? In a hospital bed? When she felt Sasuke's lips at the pulse-point of her neck, she shuddered, her body betraying her mind. She wrapped her arms around him, moaning a little. She'd missed his touch...So, much every little thing he did to her made her want to explode. He busied his hands with her red vest, opening it and revealing her scar to him. Sasuke stopped, as he usually did whenever he saw the scar. Sakura closed her eyes, wishing he wouldn't look at her the way he did. She winced when she suddenly felt his tongue trace the scar, whispering along it,
"You're still beautiful..."
He stopped when he reached her stomach and she blushed, feeling him nuzzle her stomach.
"This child...will be strong. She will bare the name of Uchiha..."
She? Sasuke already knew it was going to be a girl? Sakura could only smile...Her Sasuke-Kun was naturally perceptive. She was brought out of her thoughts when she felt her black shorts pulled down by strong, forcefully hands. She let a small gasp escape her mouth as she felt her knees thrust upwards. Sasuke's tongue was invading her body before she even knew what hit her. She tasted so sweet...He'd hated himself for remembering her scent, her taste...He wanted to etch every, single part of her into his mind so he'd never forget. He pulled away, looking up at Sakura with a small blush, but a confident smirk. He knew her body so well, he could make her cum at his will. She knew this too...He pulled off her shorts all the way and sat backwards for a moment, untying the blue kimono they'd placed him him. Sakura watched the kimono fall around his waist and she blushed. Badly. His body was so strong and handsome...He took her moment of awe for a moment of his own to look at Sakura...Her breasts were the perfect shape, fitting in his hands perfectly. With her red vest open revealing the majority of her upper body to him and her lower body, silky, smooth and waiting for him, he refused to hold back any longer. As he slowly opened her legs, he realized, as he entered her, she'd gotten a little tight. She winced, grabbing the white bed-sheets as tears slowly began to fall down her face. Gritting his teeth, he thrust deep inside of her, feeling her walls clench around him. Sakura wrapped her arms around him, pulling him down for a passionate, heated kiss, but to also muffle of her scream of pleasure that had been torn from her throat. He braced himself over her, looking at her as he started to move. God, he'd missed her...
By the time Tsunade had come looking for Sakura to ask why that messenger hadn't been sent out for Hanabi and Kiba, Sakura was dressed and just leaving Sasuke's room with the promise of returning soon enough. Sasuke only put his hands behind her head and smirked at him. Tsunade didn't care, nor did she want to know what had transpired between the two. It was just going on sunset by the time she reached the Hyuuga mansion. A maid led her to where Hanabi and Kiba were training and Sakura couldn't help but giggle a little. Kiba was barely putting up any defense, then again, the girl's offense needed a little work. He noticed Sakura when Akamaru barked, alerting them of her presence. He grinned as usual and greeted her with a loud,
"Yo, Sakura-Chan!"
"Yo, Kiba-Kun." Sakura smiled, walking towards them.
Hanabi blushed, bowing her head.
"K...Konnichiwa, Sakura-Sama!"
A model of Hinata if she'd ever seen one.
"How are you, Hanabi-Chan? You're getting so big." Sakura smiled.
Hanabi blushed and went to hide behind Kiba who chuckled as she clenched onto his sleeve. Sakura looked at Kiba and handed him the message herself. Kiba asked why Tsunade wanted to see both him AND Hanabi, but Sakura told him not to discuss it...Especially in his current location. He nodded and looked at Hanabi who was wondering why Tsunade wanted to see her so much. Before Sakura left, she felt Hanabi grab her wrist and smile.
"I saw Oneechan! I got to meet four people from Yukigakure!"
"Is this true?" she asked, looking at Kiba.
Kiba nodded and chuckled.
"Yeah, they were her bodyguards. I was kind of surprised myself, but they are treating Hinata like royalty. Makes me wonder if she plans on going back to Yukigakure to stay or something."
Kiba sighed, kneeling down and rubbing the sleeping Akamaru's head. He looked a little sad.
"That's gonna suck a little bit, because...you know...I don't know how she and Naruto would be able to coexist. What about Hikaru? Where would he live? I couldn't imagine traveling back and forth between two cities all the time."
Sakura sighed. She hadn't even thought about that. Naruto was probably going to become Hokage sooner than he thought because Tsunade had been hinting at the fact she wanted to travel with Jiraiya. As she left the Hyuuga household, she noticed Hinata walking towards her with a very sad look on her face as if she were lost in deep thought. She was wearing Naruto's updated version of his jacket, with the long, black sleeves and orange body, which honestly, was too big on her. Beneath the jacket was a black, strapless top that went all the way down to her belly button before becoming the separating point for her pair of black capri-pants. She was so lost in thought, she didn't even see Sakura until she called her name. Hinata looked up, seeing Sakura standing in front of what used to be her own home.
"Sakura-San! I'm sorry...!" she apologized.
Sakura smiled a little bit and nodded.
"It's okay, so, where are you heading?"
Hinata offered a sad, unsure smile.
"Well...I just...started walking. I wasn't really sure of where I was going...I just wanted to see...where my feet took me."
Sakura walked by her side and smiled.
"Have you been to see Hikaru-Chan yet?"
Hinata nodded.
"The Yukihana girls are taking care of him."
"You TRUST those girls?!" Sakura blurted out before she could stop herself.
Hinata looked at Sakura and smiled.
"I do...I trust them very much so. They really like Hikaru, but the more they played with him...the more I realized something..."
Before Sakura even realized it, they were at the entrance of the cemetery on the outskirts of town. As they walked, Hinata and Sakura found themselves at her mother's grave. Hinata sat on the swing beside the grave while Sakura leaned against the tree. It was getting darker and soon, the moon would be rising high above Konoha which they could see perfectly from where they were. A soft wind blew, moving Hinata on the swing a little.
"...What kind of mother would I be if I were to leave Hikaru to help Yukigakure? I...I know Naruto-Kun will become Hokage soon. I know that more than anyone else and it worries me..."
"Hinata-Chan," Sakura began.
Hinata looked at her friend as her soft, pink hair wafted in the breeze.
"Are you actually considering taking your mother's place as Yukikage?"
Hinata nodded her head with a small smile.
"I...I do, Sakura-Chan..."
Sakura sighed, but not in displeasure. Poor Hinata, was all she could think...The girl was barely seventeen as it was. She was trying to figure out life and things she shouldn't even have to until she was older, like in her twenties. But then again, Sakura thought, that's what made her and Naruto so similar. Naruto...would they ever find him? Why would he leave without even saying anything? The only clue that he left was his jacket, the same jacket Hinata was wearing now. Hinata slowly began rocking back and forth on the little wooden plank swing.
"I have a week until we stock, reload and prepare to leave for Yukigure and I'm nervous. I mean...what will I do? Can I even be a Yukikage?"
"Of course you can! You're the best candidate for it, after all!"
Hinata looked at Sakura sadly.
"Is that because I'm the fourth's child? Is that why?"
Sakura thought there was another, yet strange similarity between Hinata and Naruto: They were both children of the most powerful fourth Kages. Sakura sighed a little, looking down the hill.
"I'll be going with you to help and train one of your girls, so it's okay. We'll get Yukigakure rebuilt in no time!" Sakura smiled.
Sakura placed her hand on Hinata's shoulder and gave a genuine smile.
"If anyone can be a Yukikage or a Hokage, even...it's YOU, Hinata-Chan. But just remember...You're apart of the Konoha Kunoichi, no matter what!"
Hinata smiled and stood up, looking at Sakura. Hinata would never say it, but Sakura...would probably be the next female Hokage. She could just see it.
"We'd best be getting back to town before it gets too late."
"Yeah, let's go, Hinata-Chan."
As the girls were descending the hill, Sakura's arm lashed out in front of Hinata, stopping her dead in her tracks.
"Sakura-San...?!"
"Look...!"
Hinata's eyes followed Sakura's finger, pointing out a hidden, shadowed figure making it's way across the cemetery grounds. Hinata and Sakura both watched as they made their way to the special, restricted end of the cemetery...
"That's where all of the Hokages are buried...!" Sakura gasped.
"Let's go!"
Activating her byakugen, the girls gave silent chase to the figure, always staying atleast forty steps behind him. Hinata's byaguken allowed her to see that there was a basket in the arms of the night-crawler, but she couldn't tell the contents therein. The girls hid in a tree just in front of the special gates, always guarded by two, extremely strong shinobi. There was a small exchange of words between the guards before they let the person in. Sakura and Hinata looked at one another from their shroud in the trees. Something was obviously NOT right. Hinata and Sakura leaped out of the tree, making their way past the guards who hadn't noticed the two shadows overhead. They landed in another tree, watching as the person bowed before entering Minato Namikaze's shrine.
"That's Naruto's father's grave...!"
Bastard, was all Hinata could think. Who would dare violate the sanctity of the great fourth's? Landing on the ground as silently as the night embracing her, she stormed up the steps, Sakura behind her.
"HOLD IT!" she yelled, sliding the doors wide open.
Her eyes widened when she came face-to-face with a familiar girl with a basket of fruits, vegetables, small jugs of water and even fish.
"H...Hanabi-Chan?" Sakura asked in surprise.
"Sakura-San! Oneechan...!" Hanabi barely whispered.
It wasn't until Hanabi stood up that Sakura realized she was laying in front of a futon with someone on it. The white blanket was pulled all the way up to his neck, the familiar bandages wrapping around his head, arms and torso remained, but the one over his eye was gone.
"I...I'm sorry...but he told me not to tell anyone...!" Hanabi quickly said.
Hinata walked past Hanabi, kneeling down, her eyes filled with rampant emotion. Hesitantly, slowly, she reached out to touch the gentle face of her one and only...
"N...Naruto-Kun..."
