43: How to Tame The Wild Beast


“Don’t stop, Baachan! Another one - quickly. Kyuubi says it’s in danger!” Naruto yelled.
Naruto’s hands pulsed with red chakra as Gaara lay still and silent before him. He watched the tension roll over the Kazekage’s face as the demon within was forced to turn from its previous activities to face the pulse of the Kyuubi so close by.
“Hurry, Baachan. Get it out before it dies!” he yelled and Gaara’s eyes squeezed tightly below him.
Tsunade glared for a minute before looking up at Jiraiya. The other surviving Sannin moved forward and held the flap of skin as the Hokage reached deeply into the body of the Kage. Her eyes went wide as her fingers closed around the tiny body within.
Shizune saw this and reached for another blanket.
Naruto watched intently, his mind filling with fear not only for the baby but or his friend and a small part for the children growing inside of his lover. Very soon Sasuke could be in a similar situation and that thought worried him also.
In a few sweat-drawing, minutes Tsunade pulled the child from the sand ninja’s body, a head of dark curls being the first sight of the newborn, and quickly set to work. The baby wasn’t breathing and as Shizune completed the birth and incision on Gaara, Tsunade cleared the baby’s airway and coaxed him to breath. He took a few shallow breaths and his color looked better but he was still unresponsive and the Hokage was concerned.
Once the baby was free of his father, Naruto moved away and rushed up behind the woman.
“His brother. He needs his brother.” He yelled in an attempt to gain her attention.
“What?” she yelled back, looking over at the Medic holding the other baby that had come out first and noting that the coloring on it didn’t look very good either.
“The babies need each other. They share Shukaku’s essence and it isn’t stable with out each other.” He said, pulling the medic over and forcing his hands closer so that the babies were touching along the exposed area of their upper arms.
The smaller baby, the dark haired one, began to cry and its brother soon echoed its volume. They sounded unhappy, but their color had improved and they were certainly active now. Tsunade took the first and held them close together against her ample breasts and the sound lessened to a bearable level.
“I don’t suppose I could see my sons?” Gaara said, his voice weak, from the table where Shizune had just finished her stitches and was sending healing waves of chakra into the wound with the sand doing its best to aid the healing.
Naruto laughed and Tsunade crossed to the young man and leaned down.
“There” she said, positioning the first child in his arms and shifting the second to place it as close as possible as Jiraiya helped the redhead sit up.
“Two perfect sons. And I’ll bet Choji is worried sick. Let’s get you into a room and let him come in, eh?” she said as Shizune finished and the two medics came over. They pushed forward and wheeled the Kage and his babies out of the surgery and off to a prepared room. Naruto and Jiraiya stripped off the scrubs and followed sedately.
“What are you thinking, Naruto?” the older man asked.
“That I had no idea what I was starting. Look at what has happened all because of my stupid jutsu. It is a dangerous thing, isn’t it?” he said and the older man nodded.
“That is true. But, yet look here.” Jiraiya said, pulling the blond toward a door.
Inside Shikamaru and Neji were showing off a little baby to Tenten and Iwashi and the look on the young man’s face said that he was a welcome recipient of Naruto’s gift.
“It has done some good also. That little girl, so recently born has given so much happiness to the couple in there. It is kind of like the Jutsu that created Koibito. It isn’t safe, but look how much you and the others love those three babies. It will be fine, but we will have to regulate it. If you decide to do it, tell Tsunade first, okay?” he asked and Naruto nodded, knowing how well Jiraiya had read him.
“Hey, did they name the baby yet?” he asked.
“Yes. You are looking at Hyuuga/Nara Chigiri.” Jiraiya said and they turned away from the window.
“Leave it to Neji to name his baby Destiny.” The blond said.


Choji sat on the chair near the bed as Gaara leaned against the headboard. Naruto and Sasuke had just left and Sakura was blustering about something or another.
The babies were being checked over by the hospital specialist and Gaara was supposed to be resting.
“I am very tired. Perhaps if you would just let me sleep now.” He said to the pink haired medic.
“Oh, I’m sorry. I’ll just go and see how Neji is doing. Um, Tsunade says for you to hold the jutsu for a while longer. Is that okay?” she added and as the Kage nodded she turned to leave.
“Choji. Could you hold me? I’m tired but I don’t think I want to sleep yet. The babies are not here and it concerns me.” He admitted and Choji crawled up next to him quickly.
Wrapping his arms around the redhead he pulled Gaara close and allowed him to curl up under his chin and just stay there.
“What do you think happened?” Choji asked to keep Gaara talking.
“The Chakra was too much for a baby so it split. That is why there were two. Then when Takashi was taken away, it cut the flow from the demon and it pulled back too quickly. Takeshi almost died. I don’t know other than that. Shukaku is pleased with itself and I suppose that means they will be fine, but I don’t know what it will do to them. I think we need to keep this between as few people as possible.”
“Yeah, I don’t want my sons upset by stupid rumors and the likes. I love you, Gaar-chan. And I want to make sure our babies have happy lives.” Choji said, holding Gaara tightly.
“You are my happiness, Choji. We will be fine. Our sons will one day be great ninjas. I don’t think that they need to be driven the way I was, though.”
“Just as driven as you are.” Choji agreed leaning back and taking Gaara with until they were nearly lying on the bed.

That evening as they lay together in their bed, Naruto held his head against Sasuke’s shoulder. He ran his hand over the protrusion of the Uchiha’s belly and felt the various lumps that signified arms, legs and other parts of their two babies. Every so often one would move and shift against the barrier of skin that separated it from the world.
“Sasuke? Do you think about it?” he asked.
“Hnn?” Sasuke answered him.
“The babies, the birth, the dangers?” Naruto added.
“Dobe. I think about it. I think about it all the time. I am the one stuck with your little reminders on a never ending basis you know.” Sasuke said smacking him lightly.
“I’m afraid, Sasuke. It was real bad in there. I was thinking about you the whole time. Promise me you’ll be okay. Promise me that, Sasuke.” He begged hugging tightly to the other as he did so.
“I can promise you this. I don’t know what will happen, but I know you and I have been through worse and come out just fine. Don’t worry Naruto. I’m going to be fine. And so will our babies.” Sasuke said, her hand sifting through the strands of her lover’s hair.
“I’ll try. Sasuke? I love you.” He said.
“Idiot. Prove it.” His lover said her eyes flashing in challenge. Naruto saw that and swallowed.
“Sasuke? I can’t do that. I’d be afraid that I’d hurt the babies.” He hedged.
“Then do it the way we did when I was all male. It can’t hurt anything that way.” Sasuke said shifting to push away from the blond. Naruto released her and watched her roll onto her belly and look at him seductively.
“Oh, gods Sasuke. Don’t tease me like that. It’s been weeks.” Naruto said, looking away.
“Who’s teasing? I know how long it has been. I have been right here. Come on, Dobe. I’m waiting.” Sasuke said, shifting more comfortably as she smiled up at her blond lover.
Naruto swallowed again as he leaned closer and pressed his lips to the soft mouth of the Uchiha and Sasuke responded eagerly.

Tsunade determined that Gaara’s babies did indeed have a vast supply of unknown chakra that could only be attributed to the demon. They were fine and it was at a level that was deemed unharmful to them or anyone else. The village heard nothing about it.
Neji was released with her child and told to hold the Jutsu until Tsunade could make sure there were no complications to the delivery.
The babies settled in nicely.
Sakura was the first to visit the Nara/Hyuuga household and the new baby.
“Her hair is going to be thick, you can tell by the way it is curling around her head. It looks almost deep purple in this light. Oh, she’s just so cute.” The pink haired young woman cooed over the tiny baby.
Chigiri weighed in at six pounds, five ounces and she was tiny at only seventeen inches.
But she was large compared to Takeshi and Takashi who between them only weighed a little over eight pounds. Gaara and his twins stayed in the hospital for two weeks.
After that, both Ninja’s were released from their transformations and the village regained a man and lost a woman.
The official story was that Meneji had given birth as a surrogate for Shikamaru and Neji and that the woman had left immediately in order to not have separation anxiety over the loss of her child.
No one would dare question the word of the Hokage.
Gaara’s babies would be harder to explain, if anyone gave an explanation.
The Kazekage could do what he wished and Konoha got no reason behind his visit, his stay or the babies he would take home with him. The most anyone heard was that he was here to deliver a mission and that the Sand paid their debts without arguments.
He returned home when the babies were five weeks old and found his sister waiting with news of her own future families conception. The twins would have a cousin very soon.
Kankurou was thrilled to be home to his new wife also, as he and Yugao had wed quietly while the rest of The Village of The Hidden Sand was busy fussing over his sister’s wedding. They didn’t want a fuss anyway.
The Home of the Sand Siblings would be a very active place and they would be very happy, also.
But that is a different story.

:::Okay, now there are some new little ninja’s in the Naruto world. Yah!!


Vashta – I do think you may have said something about that before. I guess this is a reinforcement. Thank you very much.
Yes, Neji is going to be raising a cute little Nara/Hyuuga girl-child. Imagine her possibilities, Shadows and Byakugan. Whew!
As for Itachi, he has to redo the Jutsu to cause him any problems. He isn’t planning it and Neither Am I! No pregnant Itachi’s!!!!
Sorry to disappoint. Gaara gets two boys. Not really identical, cause they have different hair color and one is larger than the other. Oh, well. They are cute and should be fairly safe with little sand gourds of their own. Now on to the Sasuke/Naruto stuff.

Marielle – Oh, you are so smart. Stop guessing so well. Sorry about the boy. He was just too perfect and again the demon needed boys. This way he isn’t strong enough in either to do much harm. SEE?
