She raced upstairs, put Mikomi in her crib, and started to change Arashi's diaper. Thankfully she remembered Iruka telling Obito about Kakashi's difficulties changing diapers so she didn't get peed on as she changed the boy's diaper. Kana blinked and frowned in confusion as she looked around and didn't see anything that would cause such a reaction so she closed her eyes tried to see if she could sense anything. Her eyes flew open when she felt a malicious chakra downstairs.

She ran out of the room, lept over the banister and saw a man with pale grey hair about to throw a kunai at Kaji. She grabbed a kunai of her own along with some shuriken and threw them, stopping the kunai and forcing the man back with the shuriken. She dashed forward and scooped Kaji up, dodging the kunai thrown her way. The man snarled at her, "Stay out of this! Killing that brat will give me my revenge on the Kyuubi."
She glared at him, "Like hell I will. You want him you'll have to go through me!"

"That can be arranged."

The man made a hand sign, created a single shadow clone, and attacked her in tandem with the clone. She held blocked attacks with a kunai in one hand holding Kaji close to her with her other arm. She managed to keep all but one attack away from Kaji, the only injury he had at the moment was a small shallow cut on his upper arm. Kana however had numerous gashes all over and a couple of deep wounds on her left shoulder. She ducked down and threw a leg up, kicking the real attacker in the groin hard. As he doubled over, she dashed to the living room, put Kaji in a corner, and turned to throw a kunai at the shadow clone. It dodged and threw a chain with weights on either end at her feet tripping her and giving the clone a chance to grab her by her hair close to the scalp and pushing her face into the floor. The grey haired man came into the room, a katana drawn, and headed towards Kaji.

"No, don't you dare touch him!"

The man looked at her, "Or you'll what? You can do anything in your current position."

She narrowed her eyes and brought her arm in front of her face, murmering, "You think so do you? I have one more trick up my sleeve."

Naruto gaped at Tsunade, "WHAT!"

The Hokage rubbed her temples, "You heard me, Mizuki escaped again. So you need to be on guard."

He and Sasuke ran out of the office in a blur of unmatched speed, Kakashi, Iruka, Tsunade and Obito close behind them.

The snake hissed and attacked the grey haired man. Kana thought over how to get out of her situation and remembered a story about Sakura in the first chunin exams. 'That'll work.' Kana took a kunai out and sliced through her hair then stabbed the clone in the thigh, rolling to her feet. She heard a pained cry from the snake and turned to see it wounded badly. The reptile hissed, "I am returning home," and poofed away. The man raised his sword over Kaji and Kana raced to get there before he brought it down.

She barely made it in time to knock the sword aside enough so that it would miss the baby. Instead it pierced her ribcage as she hovered protectively over Kaji, a few drops of her blood landed on the cut on the infant's arm. Suddenly a vicious snarl was heard and a furious chakra pulsed through the room.

"Mizuki, how dare you attack my son!"

The criminal spun to Naruto standing a few feet away from him, red chakra pulsing around the blond's body. Mizuki yanked his sword out of Kana and brought it up to defend against Naruto. The blond charged at the man breaking the sword with his hand and forming a rasengan, "You will never be a threat to my children again."

Naruto drove the rasengan through Mizuki's chest.

Sasuke meanwhile had frozen when he'd first seen Kana dive to save his son, taking the blow meant for the baby but he'd snapped back to reality when Naruto had snarled at Mizuki, running to make sure his sone was okay. The Uchiha now knelt beside Kana and pressed his hand to her wound. She tried to sit up but he pushed her back down, "Stay still Kana, we'll get you some help soon."

She grabbed his wrist, "I-is Kaji okay?"

Sasuke blinked, she was more concerned for Kaji than for herself? The Uchiha brushed the hair off of her forehead, "He's fine."

She closed her eyes, "Good," and passed out.

Naruto came over to them, picked up Kaji, and crouched beside Sasuke to inspect the wound, "She'll be okay. The bleeding's already slowing down and Baa-chan's on her way."

"Correction brat, I'm here."

Tsunade stepped over Mizuki's corpse followed by Kakashi, Iruka, and Obito, who quickly went upstairs where the other three babies were shrieking bloody murder. The Hokage made her way over to Kana and began healing the ribcage wound, "Technically I shouldn't be doing this since she's still not an official ninja of Konoha because this wound could be handled by the civilian hospital."

Naruto sputtered, "The hell with that Baa-chan, she damn well deserves to be a Konoha shinobi, especially after today!"

"Is that your official decision?"

"Yes. She's trustworthy, loyal, and she definately has the Will of Fire."

"The council may have a cow, among others."

Sasuke spoke, "Then you can send them to me. She saved my son's life by risking hers, anyone in Konoha who threatens her will answer to me."

Naruto looked at Sasuke and smiled, "If we weren't surrounded by a huge mess and didn't have to get Kana-chan to the hospital, I'd give you a big sloppy kiss teme."

The Uchiha smirked, "Hn, I'll take a rain check."

Suddenly Iruka's voice rang frantically down the stairs, "Naruto! You need to see Arashi now!"

Naruto exchanged a look with Sasuke and they both dashed up the stairs.
