=======================================================================================

Itachi woke first the next morning, with his brother still snuggled tightly to his side. It was a nice feeling, and it made his heart swell a little. That moment of peace was followed almost immediately by a great sense of alarm though. Itachi was a playboy, he was a social butterfly, and while he did have repeat partners, he had rules. There wasn't any love, or any attachment, though he did feel a certain amount of jealousy when his toys found someone else to play with.

He should have known that Sasuke would break these rules, he must have known somewhere that this would happen because everything seemed to warp a little when his little brother was concerned. He didn't quite expect this though. The growing maw of doubt in his mind wasn't really helped by the fact that there was nowhere for him to go, Sasuke was snuggled up next to him in his own damn bed. He could go downstairs, or to some other bedroom, but that would be like admitting that he'd made a mistake, that there was some sort of a problem, and Itachi didn't like to admit these things. He was infallible, at least in image, and he didn't plan to break from this image anytime soon.

He found his hand massaging his temple absently, he felt a headache coming on.

Sasuke woke to warmth, and he felt a smile creep across his face. It faltered a little though, when he realized he was alone. His brother's scent surrounded him, and he could feel the softness of the sheets against his naked skin, but there wasn't anyone else here with him. It was too much like all those days he'd been here before, waiting for Itachi to return and hoping he hadn't just dreamt up that whole amazing night.

He had another one now though, another night with Itachi to add to his memory, and he closed his eyes then, letting that memory wash over him, shivering at the recollection of how his Aniki's hands had felt on his skin. He stopped quickly though, shaking the thoughts away. He'd already woken up with a little problem and they weren't helping with it at all.

He rolled out of the warm bed reluctantly, searching the floor until he found his pants, and pulling them on. He didn't bother with underwear, he wasn't actually planning on leaving. He slipped a loose shirt over his head. It wasn't his, it was his brother's, but he liked the way it was a little too big, the way it smelled faintly like Itachi. He bit his tongue to stop the memory from coming back.

He pushed to door open, glancing at the bathroom down the hall but the light was off and the door was open. He frowned, wondering where Itachi could have gone. His brother wouldn't leave without saying goodbye, or at least Sasuke thought he wouldn't. The boy made his way downstairs carefully, listening for his brother's voice, making his way to the kitchen. He could feel his stomach rumbling slightly, and he knew food was in order now.

When he pushed open the door his face lit up. Itachi was there, talking to one of the servants. They seemed engrossed in something, but as Sasuke let the door swing shut behind him Itachi looked up, their eyes locking. Sasuke couldn't help but blush as their eyes locked. He looked away quickly, but still crossed the space to touch his brother's arm lightly. Itachi smiled softly.

"I'm going to have a little party here tonight, Otouto. It will be like a debut for you, an entrance into society. Mother asked me to do this when you finally came down, it will be good for you and maybe you'll make some friends of your own here." Sasuke scowled lightly. He didn't need friends here, he didn't like people much. As long as his brother was here he was more than content. Still, he nodded, his hand absently stroking the skin of Itachi's arm, warm and smooth under his fingers.

He didn't really want to go to a party, much less be the center of one, but he didn't want to upset his Aniki, not when things were going to well. The memory of the last party convinced him though, the way Itachi had taken him home after. He couldn't help but hope that this time would work out the same way.

Sasuke adjusted his jacket for the millionth time that night. It was hot in the house, and the constricting clothing didn't help at all. He scowled, grabbing another glass of liquor as a waiter scooted by him. This was turning out almost exactly like it had last time, Itachi had a beautiful woman on his arm and he was smiling and talking to other people, people Sasuke didn't know and didn't give a crap about.

He knew Itachi couldn't really afford to let the extent of their relationship be known in public, they were brothers after all, but Sasuke still felt lonely, left out. This party was supposed to be about him, but everyone only seemed interested in Itachi. He knocked his drink back quickly, grimacing at the taste before he felt the familiar warmth envelop his body. He shivered a little.

He was idly wondering what Itachi would do if he excused himself to his room for the night. It was still rather early, but Sasuke didn't care. He just didn't want to stay here. A flash of bright blond caught his eye as he glanced around the room, and he felt his heart skip a little. It was Naruto, talking quietly to a man Sasuke thought might be Hatake Kakashi. He felt another little zing in his chest, not only was Itachi here with someone else, but now Naruto was to. The evening was looking worse every second.

He was still staring at the blond when the boy turned, their eyes locking for a second before Naruto offered a tentative wave. Sasuke blushed a little but waved back, his blush tripling when he saw Kakashi watching him to. The man was studying him intently. There was a second where he seemed to weigh his options before he laid a hand on Naruto's shoulder, steering the boy along as he walked over to a still blushing boy.

"You must be Uchiha Sasuke, yes? This is quite a party your brother had put together. You don't look like you're enjoying yourself though." Sasuke smiled weakly, nodding a little, unsure how to respond. Kakashi chuckled.

"So I see you know my friend Naruto here. Funny, that is. I wouldn't have pegged you for the type. Then again, look at your brother." The man smiled, his eyes crinkling slightly above the odd mask he wore. Sasuke stuttered a little at the implication clear in those words.

"We-we've met before, through my brother." Naruto gave him a small smile, and it somehow relaxed him. He found himself smiling then, even as he turned back to Kakashi to answer another pointless question.

X

Itachi was enjoying the night. Sure, there was something inside of him that just wanted to go find Sasuke and cut the evening short, but a louder voice, one more concerned with his pride, told him that he didn't need Sasuke, that he could act exactly like he'd always acted. Still, it felt a little bit off now.

Shisui was the first to notice, and Itachi hoped to god he was the only one. His cousin pulled him aside for a second, and asked him if everything was ... okay. That had just pushed his mood further off track. He had revived it most of the way now though, with a whole lot of alcohol, and two lovely ladies. He was doing just fine now, and he hadn't thought of Sasuke in hours. He did get a little nervous though, when he hadn't seen the boy for at least as much time. He set Shisui on the matter though, concerning himself with departing, his new girls on each arm.

Sasuke knew he'd drunk more than he should have, but he was firmly sure that he could handle it. A slight stumble made him reassess that belief though, and he cursed. This wasn't good, he was going to bring shame on the family like this and then Itachi would never even want to look at him again, let alone bring him back to his bed. Sasuke leaned against the balcony window, the cool glass focusing him a little.

He jumped when he felt a hand on his shoulder, and turned around quickly to take out his frustration on whoever it was that had interrupted his time alone. The readied insult died in his throat though, as he stared into worried blue eyes. Naruto. Sasuke was silent.

"Hey Sasuke, are you okay? You seem a little..." Sasuke tried to muster a smile, but it failed. Still, Naruto smiled back, tanned fingers wrapping around his arm.

"Come on, I have to leave soon, let's spend some time together before that, okay?" Sasuke found himself nodding silently, and following, the blond's bright smile making him feel a little better about his current situation, and his brother's inattention. He trailed the boy through the crowds of people, nodding at the many well wishers who greeted him along the way, out into the hallway. It was mostly silent there, the only other person being Kakashi, leaning on the wall next to the banquette, cradling a drink in one hand. He smiled at Sasuke again.

"Well, Sasuke! We seem to keep running into each other tonight, eh? It must be fate." Sasuke nodded dumbly, still unsure what to say. He found another glass being pushed into his hand, Kakashi smiling down at him, gesturing to a try stuck on the corner of the table, half empty.

"You look like you could use a drink, maybe it will relax you, hm?" Sasuke nodded, and gulped it down quickly. His nerves were jangled, and he knew it probably wasn't the best idea but he felt it might quiet everything a little. Naruto's voice helped with that, and so did Kakashi, in a way. It also probably helped that Itachi was nowhere to be found, but Sasuke wasn't thinking about that, as he snagged himself another glass, almost tripping over Naruto's feet as he did. The blond frowned at him, taking the glass from his hands before he could take a sip.

"Heeeeeeeeeey, Naruto. Thas mine." Naruto shook his head a little, smiling as he handed it to kakashi behind him.

"No Sasuke. I think you've had enough. I can't very well let you shame yourself at your own debut." Sasuke made a grab for it, but misjudged the distance, staggering forwards into Naruto's arms. He pouted as the blond caught him, knowing that Naruto was right but not liking it. Still, Naruto was warm and soft, for the most part, and Sasuke liked that. He leaned into the boy's arms, wrapping his own around Naruto's slim chest with a sigh, laying his head on the other boy's shoulder. Naruto awkwardly hugged him in return, rubbing his back soothingly and shooting a worried little look at Kakashi, who was sipping from Sasuke's now forgotten glass. The man just smiled.

"Well, Naruto, the kid seems to like you a lot. Why don't you bring him with us, he's in no condition to stay here after all, he'd just get himself in trouble." Naruto shot the man a look, but nodded. He untangled himself carefully from Sasuke, ignoring the boy's little noises of protest, and took him by the arm. He was pretty sure that Sasuke couldn't manage to walk out of here entirely under his own power.

X

Itachi sent the girls away, he was too annoyed to deal with them right now, and his headache was growing by the second. Sure, he'd managed a quick sexual encounter, but it wasn't quite as satisfying as it usually was, and he just couldn't manage another round. He didn't want to see their faces ever again in fact, though he didn't tell them that in so many words. Mostly he was just unbelievably tired. He'd left Shisui in charge of clearing the rest of the guests from the house, and he figured it wouldn't be safe to go back downstairs without interruption for another hour or two. He sighed, letting his body slide back into bed. It wasn't as relaxing as he'd hoped though.

X

Naruto helped Sasuke up into the carriage, letting the boy fall against the window on the far side, making sure he was comfortable before stepping back out, closing the door quietly as he stepped down. He turned to face Kakashi with a little scowl.

"If he's coming home with us, there have to be rules, Kakashi. He may not exactly be a virgin, but he's pretty damn close. Besides, you do know that Itachi might take your head off if you hurt his little brother, right? Sasuke is very... precious to him." Naruto's glare faltered a little at Kakashi's perpetual, untouchable grin. The man laid a hand on Naruto's shoulder, steering the boy back towards the coach.

"Why Naruto, you sound as if you want me to leave him here. I can if you really do, but I'm sure it will be fine. I know to be careful, nothing weird. He may be young, but he'd still an Uchiha." The man paused, on hand on Naruto's shoulder, the other resting lightly on the handle to the door. He looked back.

"Naruto, were you his first?" The question sounded innocent, but the memory of that night made the boy blush still, and that wasn't the only reaction his body had to it. He cleared his throat.

"In a way, yes. But not entirely. You know I can't give you details of my time with other patrons though." Kakashi just nodded, and neared the boy. He leaned in, opening his mouth to reply, but was interrupted suddenly by Sasuke. The boy was trying to open the carriage door, but failing utterly. Naruto looked concerned, and Kakashi wondered at the speed at which the blond boy was over, pulling the door open carefully.

"Heeeey, Naru' I thought we were going somewhere. You're not going to leave me here, right?" Sasuke looked so concerned that Kakashi couldn't help himself, stepping up behind Naruto quickly and ushering the blond up into the carriage's cab.

"Sasuke is right you know, we should get moving before it gets too late."
