Naruto and Hinata were sitting by a tree in the field when Neji got around to coming back, he had decided to make it a 20 minute walk instead of the originally planned ten, He thought it was a good thing Naruto finally realized what Hinata felt for him, and he didn't want to come back and interrupt Naruto's plan to talk to her. He looked at the two for a minute before finally calling to them.

"I hope you two are ready for training" His voice was calm and composed as always, though they both noticed the smirk on his face, Hinata had completely forgotten about training she had been so shocked and happy that Naruto had asked her out on a date that she was just enjoying the time with him talking, it hadn't even occurred to her that Neji hadn't come back.

Naruto smiled a minute thinking about a few moves he wanted to try on Neji this morning. "I'm always ready"

"I'm ready as well" Hinata stood up and started walking into the open training field.

the three of them stood for a moment that seemed drawn out with tension before Naruto moved making 5 shadow clones and charging at Neji. Neji activated his Byukugen and watched as the mob of Narutos came at him, carefully reading their movement and acting to avoid them his thoughts *left punch, dodge inside duck to avoid the other clone coming from the side* he realized too late the clone that had come from his left was a decoy for the one on the right and got hit with a kick to the face and tumbled a few times, he stayed still for a minute Naruto had hid the clone from the Byukugen, he REALLY needed to figure out how he kept doing that. Neji stood finally and dropped back into his fighting stance, waiting for the next wave of Naruto clones, that didn't come. Neji stood waiting then before he could react a very airbone Naruto hit him from above landing a hit to Neji's shoulder. Neji landed on his hands and brought his feet around to hit Naruto, but he was already gone.

The training went like that for almost 2 hours Naruto striking then hiding himself again, Normally he would overwhelm an opponent with shadow clones today though he was being a little more reserved and well planned than normal. Neji raised a hand and spoke "I think it's time we take a break."

"Okay" Naruto walked out from the treeline, Hinata had stayed back today watching afraid she would get in the way. and wanted to see the new moves Naruto had mentioned wanting to try, she assumed from the out of place tactics he used that it was in fact a good working valid tactic.

"can we talk for a minute Naruto" Neji asked motioning for the the blond ninja to come talk

"Of course" Naruto started jogging over toward him.

when he finally got there Neji started walking and asked "seriously how do you avoid the Byukugen like that, I know I should be able to see and sense you."

"Well Jariya taught me the trick, it's a mix of genjutsu and my shadow clones, it's not a normal Genjutsu though, it's a high level one only he Tsunade and the 4th had been able to do until he taught me."

"That explains a lot" Neji put a hand on a sore shoulder that had been hit a lot

"I could hide the shadow clones so that you couldn't see them even once they get close, but that takes a lot more chakra, but unlike most genjutsu since I'm using shadow clones the damage that I do is very real, as I'm sure you noticed"

"Yea" Neji smirked a bit, "That's all I wanted to know though, I think you should go talk to Hinata"

"O-Okay" Naruto wasn't sure what he was going to talk about but he thought it might be a good idea to actually talk to her a bit more like he had done that morning.

~~~~~That evening~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Neji, Hinata and Naruto stood in the training field worn out from a long day, trying several new tactics. It had been a good day for them thye had all accomplished a lot through their efforts. Though naruto was a bit nervous, as for Hinata well, you can only imagine how nervous she was, she was going on a date, with Naruto.

"Hinata let's go, I hope you don't mind ramen." Naruto felt cheap for taking her to get something so simple, but most places overcharged him or a lot wouldn't even serve him. Even after everything he had done for Konoha a lot of the civilians and shinobi alike blamed him for the Kyuubi and the damage that it caused all those years ago

"I-I don't mind Naruto-kun."

The training ground they had been at wasn't far from Ichiraku Ramen luckily for them, Neither of them really knew what to say, They both lacked dating experience, Naruto hadn't ever had a date, he was yet to even kiss a girl, Well....there was that accidental kiss with Sasuke, but that's not with a girl now is it?

They walked and talked about their different missions, they both tried to avoid talking about family, Hinata didn't like the way her clan was run, and Naruto didn't have any family so it made him feel out of place and even more awkward than he already was.

They arrived shortly after they started their walk, Naruto ordered himself some pork ramen, Hinata ordered the same, not caring what she had, she was more concerned with being on a date with Naruto.

~~~*Hokages office*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Lady Tsunade, there's been a problem" a masked ANBU member was speaking.

"What is it" She was frustrated with the paperwork, and getting moreso hearing that there was a problem.

The masked man stood in total silence picking his words carefully "Danzou is in fact plotting again Konoha, though we have to act now, their plan goes into effect in the morning." The man shifted the slightest bit. "They have a very powerful Ninja arriving that will be disguised as a traveler though his ROOT Anbu are supposed to meet with him tonight before he arrives."

"So we have to have them watched, and figure out who this guy is and what we are looking for tonight to stop whatever they have planned for tomorrow"

"Yes Hokage-sama"

Tsunade was angry and it was showing, she didn't have a plan right off but she knew someone that could make one fast enough. "Get me Shikamaru. NOW"

"Yes Tsunade-sama" the masked man vanished in an instant and she sat alone thinking.

~~~*back at Ichiraku*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Thanks old man" Naruto said as he paid for their meal, then turned to Hinata "you have to be home soon right?" He didn't want to have the date be over so soon, but he knew how strict her family could be.

Hinata looked at the ground "Yea"

"Okay then I'll walk you home?" He hoped she would be okay with the idea, though he would understand if she didn't want the entire village knowing that they had gone on this date,

"Please" she was barely speaking in a whisper and her face was turning a nice shade of pink, she was the happiest she had ever been as they started toward the Hyuuga estate, hand in hand.

~~~*Shikamaru's house*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"what?" a groggy Shikamaru asked opening the door. He had just gotten to sleep too.

"The Hokage needs to speak with you." A masked Anbu member told him.

Shikamaru looked annoyed "tell her I'll be there in 10 minutes"

The Anbu member nodded then disapeared.

"How troublesome" he spoke to the air before stepping back inside to grab a few things. Then headed toward the Hokages tower
