Disclaimer:
I don't own Naruto, the characters that I have borrowed for this story, or the songs which I use to draw inspiration from. I just borrow them and write them into my own little happy place. So I don't make any money from writing this.

I Won't Say (I'm In Love)
She should know by now men were dangerous for her. Especially when it came to trying to love them. Sasuke had taught her that much. She'd confessed her feelings for him and he'd still left. It was better to not say anything at all. Keep her heart safe and she'd never have to waste her time crying for another man.
So why was she falling for another one? Especially one that was an even greater risk for her heart. He was older, so he was likely to die before her. Unless they were killed on a mission together. Plus he was one of the biggest perverts in the village. Everyone knew he'd slept with most if not all of the female population on the village over the age of like twenty-five.
So why was she falling for him? He'd all but ignored her most of the time she'd been on his team, except to comment on her chakra manipulation skills. Now that she'd been focused on training with Tsunade for the last three years, she hadn't seen very much of him in that time. Now he seemed to be everywhere.
In her thoughts. At the hospital, when he wasn't injured or had a scheduled checkup. At the grocery store, at the exact same time she was but not really buying anything. At the bar on the girls night out, conveniently in place for a slow dance. In her mind when she should be focusing on her work. He even seemed to have developed a habit for dropping in at weird times, just to talk.
And they talked about everything it seemed. Work. Medical theory. Combat tactics. Old missions. People they knew around the village. What they would do if they hadn't become ninja. Favorite things, people, and places they'd seen.
And after six months she found herself smiling at the thought of him hopefully stopping by the hospital to walk her home. Or to dinner. Or where ever she was going on business for her shishou.
It took her another three months for her to realize the mere mention of his name caused her to perk her attention and all but growl as she realized that some of the other nurses were discussing how good he must be in bed. She'd growl because she'd been questioning the same thing for months but refused to let her thoughts go too far down that track. She wasn't one to have casual flings. Nope she wouldn't have sex with someone unless she was in love and possibly married to them.
It was another month before she worked up the courage to examine the warm fuzzy feelings the thought of him brought to her body. Now she refused to admit what it was. There was no way that she, Haruno Sakura, was in love. Especially not with him. Not with Hitake Kakashi. At least out loud she wouldn't admit that she just might love him.
