Like Father, Like Son

(A/N: I'm here, I'm back and I totally miscalulated, lol. Don't worry, what I meant was that out of all the chapters I've done (and haven't posted yet) there are only two more. Lol, so there aren't two more chapters left, there are two more chapters out of the several I've typed up, but haven't posted yet. I hope that makes sense! Thanks for the reviews and I hope you all can forgive me for being so late to update and such! Much love for everyone and please bear with me!)

~*~*~**~**~**~*~*~*

Hanzori stared at the darkened ceiling of his bedroom, listening to the crickets chirp their beautiful summer song. He'd traveled many places in his life, but thought Konoha had the most beautiful nights he'd ever seen. Speaking of beautiful, he thought silently, why didn't anyone tell him his kid-sister was so stunning? He rolled over onto his side with a small sigh. Okay, sure, godforbid he look at his sister as a woman, but how couldn't he? Beautiful long hair, soft eyes, a cute smile and a killer body. For a moment, Hanzori was positive he hated his brother-in-law, but also remembered his sister was a mother. Despite the fact he'd only 'met' her a few hours ago, it was still a little surprising. Hanzori definitely heard his share of rumors and gossip from the Hyuuga clan members, taking interest in how Hinata defied her family just to marry Naruto Uzumaki, only to become one of the strongest kunoichi Konoha had ever seen. Then she moved to take over Yukigakure. What a woman, Hanzori silently thought. All woman, for that matter. He'd really hoped he could see Hinata and get to know her a little bit better. After all, he was different than his half-sister Hanabi: He was Hinata's full flesh and blood, however, at the same time...he found himself despising her. Why keep Hinata and not him? Was she so special? He rolled over onto his back onc more. That couldn't have been the case now, especially seeing what the Hyuuga Clan thought of her. Some were secretly proud, others were jealous and held hatred for her, labeling her a 'traitor'. There was also talk of a cousin: Neji. He'd been a promising heir to the Hyuuga Clan, despite the fact he wasn't part of the main house, yet he gave that all up for a woman he'd known since childhood. Neji was apparently a cold sort of bastard with an arrogant attitude and resentment for both Hinata AND Naruto, but for different, yet similar reasons. He's downfall for the family had been when he'd chosen his cousin, his wife and his cousin-in-law over the Hyuuga clan. He wondered what Neji would think of them if they'd met...? And what about his wife? He'd heard she was a weapons master, being able to hit one-hundred out of one-hundred targets in a row. Definitely not a woman he'd like to tangle with. He'd also heard she was pregnant again. Hanzori couldn't have been more amused as he chuckled to himself: Goddamn, the Hyuuga clan may have been the most powerful, but they were also the most gossipy. A soft wind blew through the room and he stood up, shirtless and wearing only a pair of white sleeping pants that matched his pure, white hair. The wind had brought with it a unique, familiar scent that called to him. He looked out of his window, turning towards the north. It was coming from Yukigakure, he was positive...He sighed a little forlornly, wondering what Hinata-Chan was doing right now. Did she even know of his relationship to her? Probably not.

It wasn't until a little after midnight when he found himself standing at the overpass that overlooked the town of Yukigakure, adorned in nothing more than a white coat and a pair of white pants that matched his hair color to a T. For some reason, the trip up here was more than easy. He'd heard people bitching about how cold and hard the trip had been. He sighed. More than enough proof he was indeed the son of Shioriko Natsuyuki. He mentally chastised himself for giving in to such a stupid impulse and coming up to Yukigakure. What had he hoped to accomplish? From what he'd heard, the town had been completely destroyed by Byakko, yet, here it was. A thriving city where it's residents were sleeping peacefully. When he finally reached the gates of the town, it was completely silent, but that scent he smelled was stronger than ever. He followed it to a large tree in the center of the town. His eyes widened...White cherry blossoms? Blooming in such harsh tempuratures? He felt very much at ease just by standing in the presence of the tree. He was still admiring it's beauty ten minutes later when he saw a shadow steal away from the large home at the end of the town and into the night. He quickly followed the shady presence which took a small, mountainious trail upwards. He'd almost lost the figure after coming to an small forest of nothing but Yukisakuras. He stood under them, completely in awe. He'd also heard that if you stood under cherry blossoms of any sort for too long, it would quite literally drive you mad. He continued walking through the forest of snow and white cherry blossom petals until the fully, white moon guided him to a small outlet. He quickly stopped, ducking behind a nearby tree. The outlet had led him to a small lake, probably no bigger than the Lake of the Lost Soul he'd visited in Konoha, however, this small lake had a rushing waterfall cascading down into it. The waterfall itself was probably fifty feet high and led into more parts of the mountain. His eyes widened when he saw the delicate figure twirl on one foot on the water's surface before leaping into the air with the grace of a ballerina. A small geyser of water shooting from the water supported her landing. A large blush arose to her face. In the moonlight, he saw her amazing, yet somewhat illuminated sillouette. Her long, almost silver hair twirled around her as she moved with the grace of a swan taking flight. He swallowed nervously, but continued to watch her skim the water's surface before leaping onto another geyser in the center of the lake. She remained stationary on that for a moment before he watched her bring two fingers to her face. Instantaniously, her watched her eyes suddenly begin glowing a beautiful, pure-white color. From the tips of her fingers came what looked like a simple ribbon of pure, white light. She began twirling the ribbon around her naked body until her entire being glowed. She threw her head backwards, staring up at the moon for a brief moment before falling off of the geyser and diving straight into the water. Hanzori moved closer to get a better look, activating his own Byagkugan to see clearly beneath the water's surface. She was planted firmly beneath the water's surface and on the floor of the small lake, the white ribbon surrounding her body. He swallowed nervously, slowly shedding his own clothing before diving into the water.

When she felt the water's current change a little, she looked up, seeing a shadowed figure swimming towards her, but stopped at a distance of only twenty feet. Her first instinct was to hurry out of the water, but when she watched his eyes suddenly begin glowing a pale-blue color, she didn't feel threatened, oddly enough. She watched as a black ribbon of chakra began surrounding his body before heading straight for her. With a simple twist of her hand, her white ribbon deflected the black one. Against her better judgement, she swam towards him, the moonlight on the surface, nothing but dull illumination. She could only see his slight smile while the rest of him remained in shadow. He extended his hand to her, feeling nothing but warmth when she took it. The ribbons of individual chakra wrapped around their arms before heading for the other person. When he saw her smile, he felt very relieved. For the next two hours, they both twirled around in the water, their chakras molding together as one, strengthing their bond with the person they trained with. She looked at him before nodding her head and swimming towards the surface. She took a deep breath of air with a sigh. Finally, she'd be able to see who it was who used his chakra so powerfully and from his heart. When he surfaced, her eyes widened as did his.

"Han...Hanzori-San...?!"

"Hinata-Sama!"

Both of their blushes were enormous as they swam to the shore. Hanzori turned his back when Hinata got out, looking over his shoulder in time to watch as she pulled herself from the water, throwing her long, beautiful hair backwards. He must have been beet red at this point. Once she was dressed, he pulled himself out of the water, noticing she was adorned in just a simple, white night shirt. He dressed only in his pants and sat beside her, his legs crossed. Both were silent for a moment before Hinata sat beside him.

"Hanzori-San...how come you weren't affected by that water? Anyone else would have frozen."

He looked at Hinata and shrugged. Actually, the question was plaguing him as well.

"How come you can, Hinata-Sama?"

Hinata smiled, looking at the water with a slight blush.

"It's heriditary, I suppose. A few years ago, when I first became Yukikage, I learned there was a technique for being able to use your chakra and mold it to survive the extreme colds. That's why I can live here and wear thin clothing like my kimono, or swim in waters that are sub-zero for so long."

"Oh."

Another moment of uncomfortable silence. Hinata sighed, looking at him.

"Hanzori-San...why are you here? Won't the Hyuuga household worry if you stray for too long?"

Hanzori shook his head with a small sigh.

"They won't say anything to their only willing heir."

"I see..."

Hinata's eyes widened and she looked at him.

"Heir?! You're an heir?!"

Hinata became increasingly uneasy. The only way someone could acheive heir status was to be directly related to the head of the household...

"Who are you, Hanzori Hyuuga?"

Hanzori looked at her with a small, but saddened smile.

"A product of lust created before you were born. If being able to survive such cold temperatures is heriditary, then who do we only know of who was able to harness such chakra?"

Hinata's eyes widened in alarm. She felt frozen in place when he took her face gently between his hands. Hanzori was very surprised at how warm she was. His eyes narrowed a little and his face neared her own.

"...The woman who gave birth to us...Shioriko Natsuyuki...Hinata-Chan, we're brother and sister."

Hinata began shaking and it definitely wasn't from the cold.

"O...Oniisama...? No, this...this can't be possible!"

She tried pulling away, but he held her steadfast.

"Open your eyes, Hinata-Sama...our chakra, though different colors and flows, are identical. Our souls...are identical as well. I've come so far just to meet my little sister..."

Hinata didn't move when he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her to his chest. She blushed and with shaking arms, hesitantly wrapping them around Hanzori's large, muscular frame. On his back, she could feel several scars and wondered where they had come from. When he felt Hinata embrace him back, he sighed happily, resting in her arms. Her scent, the warm flow of her chakra...

"Hinata-Sama,"

He pulled back a little and placed one hand on the side of her face.

"I understand this must be a lot to take in, but..."

"No...I knew you exsisted, Hanzori-San."

It was his turn to wear the mask of surprise. She stood up, slipping into her sandals. She sighed, looking at him.

"Please, follow me."

Moments later, Hanzori was dried off and dressed in a white kimono, whilst Hinata was simply dressed in a short, white one. She escorted him into her office, similar to the one in Konoha. He watched as she went through her desk before pulling out an old, aged journal.

"I found this when I first began rebuilding Yukigakure. Godaime-Sama, Tsunade...she tricked me saying the one she had was the real deal. Do you know what this is, Hanzori-San?"

He walked over to her and looked at the journal. There was no name on it, but he could take a guess.

"It's our mother's."

Hinata led Hanzori to the bedroom. He blushed a little as she sat on the bed, patting the space beside her. He sat down, blushing a little when she turned to a specific page.

*~"Dear Diary,

It is spring, once more. I shall soon have my child.

I learned it is a girl and I hope that she will be strong.

I can only hope that my other child is safe and well.

I will probably never be able to forgive myself for letting my horrible fiancee for giving away my first child.

I gave him a proud, strong name because when he was born, I felt a very strong aura come from him.

He was born with white hair and blue eyes.

I asked the doctor what it meant, but he had no answer. No surprise, I suppose.

I hope my child is still safe and well.

I hope I will be able to meet him once more in my lifetime.

Will he hate me? Will he look upon me in distain?

I look upon myself in disdain for even sending him away.

My little Hanzori...I pray you are well."~*

Hanzori blushed a little bit and Hinata smiled.

"I always knew you were out there somewhere, but at the same time, I took you for dead. Hanz...I mean, Oniisan...? Why did you come back to Konoha?"

Hanzori was silent for a moment.

"To take my place as the rightful heir to the Hyuuga household. I had heard rumors you'd become a Yukikage and had abadoned the family for the Hokage. I wanted to see my father and confront him, but when I finally do, he's in a cell, both of his legs broken, both of his arms broken and barely able to move. This was not the powerful head of the household that I had intended to challange."

Hinata almost felt sorry for her father and her...brother. He'd come all this way for nothing?

"That is...until I learned that Byakko was still alive and well."

Hinata's heart nearly stopped. She looked at him, closing the journal.

"How do you know about Byakko?"

Hanzori smirked a little.

"Well, I figure if I kept traveling until I reached here, I'd find some answers. If Byakko IS alive, I want to use his power. I want to use his power and Kyuubi's power to summon Gobi No Houkou."

Hinata stood up instantly and glared at him.

"I will not sit here and let you talk about such things. Is that why you came? To see if Byakko's power exsisted somewhere here?"

"I did. I don't know where Kyuubi resides, either, but I know he's in Konoha, someplace, somewhere."

Hinata placed the journal on a bookshelf across the room.

"I will not listen any longer, Hanzori. You don't know the destruction you wish to bring upon yourself and possibly the world. Leave Kyuubi, Byakko and Gobi alone."

"Hinata,"

She watched him stand up and slowly walk over to her.

"Wouldn't you like to see our mother again?"

Hinata's eyes widened. As Byakko's vessel, Hinata knew well about bringing someone back to life, though, she'd only done it once. Hinata looked away.

"We cannot bring back the dead. We should let their spirits rest in peace."

"Well, what about changing the past? If I change the past, I'll make it so I was able to be born the year you were born. That way, not only do I remain the first Hyuuga heir, but..."

He looked down and sighed.

"I...I'll be able to spend more time with my...our...mother."

Hinata swallowed that large lump in her throat. Against her better judgement, she sighed.

"Wh...what can Gobi do, exactly?"

"It's rumored that Gobi No Houkou, the five-tailed dog demon, had the power to control earth, destroy earth and even travel through time, wether it be the past or the future. The power to create and destroy came from Gobi's mother, Kyuubi No Kitsune, while the power to heal and bring back the dead came from Byakko No Ichikoko. These two amazing powers are held within Gobi's body, along with Gobi's on special power: The ability to stop time, speed it up or travel through it. Hinata, you must understand...!"

She slapped his hand away and glared at him.

"Then if you know so much, you must understand there must be a sacraficial human, one with a pure, untainted soul."

Hanzori nodded, backing away from her.

"I understand that. The other keys to raising Gobi are having Byakko and Kyuubi summoned, the five peices of the Talisman used to seal Gobi and a planetary alignment."

"You wait and want in vain, Hanzori. The next planetary alignment is..."

When she saw Hanzori smirk, she knew she was in for more trouble than she bargained for.

"Do you still believe the myth that the planets must align? Well, I have news, it's wrong."

Hinata's eyes widened. While SHE didn't believe the myth, she'd hoped that her father and now, her brother would truely believe in it. Hanzori smirked once more.

"You simply need someone, a person, who was BORN on the day, or night when the planets aligned. That person shall serve as the sacraficial medium."

Hinata lashed out, slapping him with such a force, he fell backwards. He looked up at her, his hand on his cheek.

"Get out! Get out right now! How could you even think of sacraficing another person's life just for the selfishness of wanting to change the past? You and father are...!"

"Exactly alike."

He stood up, getting ready to take his leave. He stood at the entrance to her bedroom with a small smile.

"But consider this...if father is allowed to raise Gobi first, he will only make it so Minato Namikaze never exsisted and if you do the math, if the fourth Hokage never exsisted and if the forth ceases to exsist in the past..."

Hinata's eyes widened, fear wracking her body. Hanzori had succeeded in his mission; scaring her, if only for the moment.

"...well, your precious Naruto will cease to exsist and if Naruto ceases to exist, so will little Hikaru. Now, compared to what father wishes, does not my idea sound kinder?"

He blew her a kiss and walked out. Hinata fell to the floor, her knees shaking. She panted heavily. He was right...If Minato doesn't exist in the past, Naruto won't be in her future...nor will Hikaru. She wrapped her arms around her to cease the shaking, as if trying to hold in the very precious secret her heart held. She imagined holding her dear son in her arms as she whimpered slightly. Now, more than anything...she had to protect her son. Her son with a pure, untainted soul...
