Author's note: This chapter has no naruto, so I don't like it much. Plus, I had a cold when I wrote it and nee-chan has a viral infection [almost everyone I know of in 'SasuxNaru' is sick. It must be a conspiracy against us...]so the quality is not that good.Still, this chapter is dedicated to xiaobei for her wonderful drabble for my challenge ^^ I promise the painting is coming soon ^^
Summery:Sasuke wants everyone to know that Naruto belongs to him... But he wants Naruto to be the one to annouce it? What does he do?!

CHAPTER FIVE: Gossips

Last time...
After standing in the alley like that for a few minutes with Sasuke gently caressing his back, Naruto sniffled, "Wow, it's really cold today, huh?"

The Hokage tower was unusually absent of its usual hustle and bustle of shouts of "Shannyahro!" and the loud, earthquake-like tremors from the building. An ocassional Anbu would worriedly glance into the window of the Godaime's office, only to see the teacher and her apprentice grinning and talking to each other, actually getting along for once. Then they would hurridly turn back away with shivers going down their spines.
Tsunade cackled with an amused grin, "He really did say that?"
"Yeah," Sakura replied, wiping the sweat she accumulated on her brow from her training with the Hokage with her left hand. "You'd think he would think better to choose someone more plausible."
"Perhaps the word 'think' itself is already too much of a compliment for that baka gaki," the blonde woman shrugged, her bosom heaving, and poured herself a cup of sake that seemed to appear from thin air from her cluttered desk. The cup of sake was about to touch her lips when it vanished from her hands in the blink of an eye.
"I thought I said no sake until all the paperwork's done, Tsunade-sama?" Shizune said, her voice clipped as she dangled the cup of sake just out of reach, glaring in annoyance at the deceptively young woman.
"Where did you appear from?!" Tsunade jolted while Sakura didn't even blink at their daily banter. "Besides, it was just one cup, Shizune," the blonde whined while attempting to get her sake back, using the skills she aquired that revered her a Sanin with swift punches and kicks. However, her effort was wasted when Shizune parried her blows with the sake cup as a shield.
Honestly, sometimes she wondered if she taught the black haired kunoichi a little too well. Her assistant was completely undetectable when it came to getting her sake away from her at work. It was as if she had a built-in personalised anti-alcohol radar with her at all times. What's wrong with drinking just a few cups of sake? Jounins can be given 'D' ranked missions once in a while, it's not like she's drunk all the time...
"One cup out of a million others," Shizune sniffed and took the sake bottle with her as well, clearly implying that that conversation was over. Changing the subject, she asked the pink-haired girl politely while she resigned herself to cleaning the Hokage's office, "What were you talking about just now?"
At that, Sakura snickered slightly, her inner-Sakura surfacing, before she caught herself and helped Shizune arrange the disaster zone that was the Hokage's desk, "It was Naruto. He said the Kazekage gave him the hickeys he sported when he arrived for training today. I thought he would pick a girl, but he must really be panicking when Kakashi-sensei prodded him about them. Gods, Gaara isn't even in Konoha yet."
Her smile faltered a little when she continued with her conversation, almost dropping the pile of files she was holding when she shuddered, "You should have seen the look on Sasuke's face. And I used to imagine him being jealous because of me. Now I won't wish a jealous Sasuke on anyone. He looked even freakier than that time he snapped and went with Orochimaru".
Shizune looked thoughtful at that revelation, "Hmm... Really? It reminds me, I saw Naruto-kun run on the opposite rooftop wearing only a pair of pajamas pants just now. When I blinked, it disappeared in a puff of smoke. I thought it was his latest prank to streak the villagers. I didn't know he had such a nice body under all that clothes though, so I'm not sure the villagers
would have minded this prank, really." She coughed, a faint blush dusting her cheeks.
"Speaking of which," Tsunade interupted with gesturing hands, trying not to think about the body of the boy young enough to be her son, while stealing the sake bottle back from her distracted assistant and hiding it under the secret compartment of her desk at the same time. "How are the bets going? You're betting on Sasuke, right? He doesn't look the type to want to spill though".
Muttering darkly under her breathe about Legendary Suckers and jinxed advice, Sakura slumped unlady-like into the seat opposite Tsunade and growled in an inner-Sakura fashion, "I had to force myself to act like I like him again and endure his glares. Annoying him didn't really help to get him to talk. If anything, it only got him more determined to get Naruto to do it. And Naruto almost did too, until Kakashi stopped him. I think he betted on Sasuke as well. Gaaah, now that I look back, I must have seemed liked an obsessed stalker to Sasuke when I was twelve."
The edmerald eyed girl didn't notice the exchanged glances of her elders as she launched into another topic and sat straighter excitedly, "Oh! Did you know that Shino and Kiba are a couple for a while now?"
Tsunade, and even Shizune visibly perked up at the prospects of more interesting gossip. "Hah! I knew there was something wrong with the two when I caught them in the broom closet!" Shizune grinned, substituting the sake bottle from under the desk with a pencil case with a muttered kawarimi no jutsu and hid it behind her back on her chair.
"The broom closet?!" Sakura asked incrudulously, her jaws slack. The broom closet in the Hokage tower was so small that you literally could only fit a broom and a dustpan in it and nothing more. She concluded that they really must be desperate to be willing to squeeze into that small a space.
"Uh-huh. Kiba said they got locked inside by accident when they were looking for Akamaru. The lock's on the inside, by the way." Shizune commented dryly.
"And how did they explain the fact that Kiba was half-naked?" Tasundae asked with a mischeivious glint in her eye.
Shizune coughed again and hid her grin behind her hand. "Well, they said they'd get back to me on that one."
The evening went by slowly with talks about everything and anything that went on in Konoha and the innovative and sly game of sake bottle hide and seek from Tsunade and Shizune, apparantly ignoring their duties in favor of some solace from the ever-mounting workload.

Transition chapter, so it's a bit on the short side. I'm not the type to update on a regular basis, but only when I have inspiration. I have a job now, so the next chapters are going to drag a little bit. Gomen!!
Hehe, I told you there was a reason for Sakura acting weird. She has Lee now. 'Sides her crush is over since she's more matured now ^^
