“Naruto it’s not up to me but up to you. Do you think you like him in that way?” Was her parting words.

Naruto got up and headed home still thinking about what she said. Tsuande was smart for her age but she would always say cryptic things towards the blond that just confused him more often then not.


Lullaby of Night

Naruto walked up to his house getting ready to insert his keys in the lock when he turned only to see that his neighbor was at it again. He was sitting on his porch looking around the neighborhood. He spotted Naruto and waved at him. Naruto frowned, still remembering there conversation, and quickly went inside before locking it all up. He turned expecting to hear clawed feet padding down the hall but none came. Naruto started to walk towards the kitchen, only to see Ramen waiting for him by the window sill.

Naruto smiled and walked over to the cat intent on petting it, but the cat turned around and hissed at him trying to claw his hand. Naruto backed up watching as the cat disappeared into the living room. He was shocked the cat would act like that, it was usually docile and had never done that before to him. Narrowing his eyes, Naruto stalked right up to the kitchens door and unlocked it. He wanted to see if the dog was acting similar.

He opened the door and spotted the dog looking up. Naruto walked outside a little and turned his gaze where the dog was looking. He only saw the window upstairs, shaking his head he unlocked the chain and the dog immediately followed Naruto inside. He was tired and just wanted to go to sleep, to forget until later about these odd happenings. Turning on the rest of the lights Naruto padded towards his door, did his routine and went in. Shadow followed him and jumped on the bed when Nartuo settled down.

Normally Naruto wouldn’t let the dog on the bed but seeing as the dog was outside the whole day. So they both settled in watching TV. Before to long Naruto closed his eyes and relaxed feeling safe and comfortable with the dog right beside him. He moved the orange covers up and yawned one more time, stretching out to the fullest.

The next time Naruto woke was with a start, due to an incessant ringing. He got up disoriented and grabbed for his cell phone.

“Hey what do you.” Naruto said still half asleep.

“Naruto it’s me Sasuke.” Naruto heard on the other line. Naruto straightened and cleared his throat.

“Sasuke? What do you want.” Naruto finished looking around for the time. It was apparently seven.
“I’m just calling to see if your ok. There been another murder.” He finished.

“No Sasuke I’m fine and I was sleeping.” Naruto said a little annoyed, he was having a good dream too.

“You should wake up anyway Dobe. Anyway I’ll be home around eleven because of this stupid convection ” Naruto could hear Sasuke saying.

“Wait you said 10:00 Teme. Now I have to make dinner.” Naruto wined, he did not like to make dinner. He was about to bring up what happened last night and about the animals but he decided to wait until Sasuke got home. Naruto then heard a small beeping noise indicating the battery.

“Oh shit Sasuke I have to go the battery is dying on me.” Naruto said before he was cut off. Naruto sighed before jumping off the bed. Shadow’s head lifted up and watched Naruto move over towards the charger.

He had been so tired he had forgot to charge it when he had gotten home. Turning around, Naruto stretched out his arms above his head before yawning and walking out the door. The lighted house guided the blond towards the kitchen where he made some ramen. Of course he had to wait for five minutes until it was done so he impatiently walked towards the livingroom to spot his cat Ramen on the couch.

The cat lifted it’s head and meowed for Naruto. Taking that as an apology Naruto scooped the cat up and went into the kitchen to get the ramen before heading back towards his room. Shadow was still there waiting for Naruto, as he set the cat down and turned on the DVD to watch a movie. He might as well just stay up and wait for Sasuke. All the while the dog and cat were sitting in the room watching Naruto and looking around. The blond didn’t even notice the strange behavior. He was too intent with the movie and slurping up his ramen.

When he was done watching ‘Forest Gump’ It was past ten. He got up and stretched after the long movie. He liked it, but sometimes it was just too long. Naruto padded on the soft carpet dodging clothes and books alike to get to the door. He opened it and looked out before walking on the cold wood floors to get to the kitchen. The ramen was good but now he needed something else. He noticed that Shadow was trailing behind him. He was almost towards his destination when the smell hit him again from earlier. This time it was more powerful. He stopped and noticed the he was by the stairs, it was indeed heading upstairs. He didn’t want to go up there, even if he was hallucinating that time, he still hated the upstairs.

It was either get food and endure the stench or find out what it was. Naruto headed towards the kitchen wanting something to eat. He could wait for Sasuke until he got home, Naruto figured. He made a quick ham and cheese sandwich by the sink , before looking out of the window. It seemed they were getting fog again. But what was kind of creepy was that it was all Hollows Eve tonight. Shacking that thought out of his head he started to head back towards his room. Shadow followed but stopped near the stairs also making Naruto stop. He frowned, put his hand in his pocket to make sure he had the knife he bought and stepped on the first stair case. ‘He was not a coward, he was not paranoid and this was going to prove it.’ He stated firmly in his mind. If he wanted any kind of relationship with Sasuke then he would have to change.

He slowly made his way upstairs hearing the small creeks on the stairs as he went. He put a shaking hand towards his nose to cover it. The smell was getting worse. At first he had assumed it was a dead squirrel or maybe a rat. He continued until he stopped at the top of the stairs looking around. Both doors were open, Naruto frowned hard, they were both supposed to be closed. He walked slowly towards the first one, the bathroom. Quickly going into the doorway frame he turned on the lights and inspected the room from top to bottom. He found nothing but tile, a small sink, a mirror, and a toilet. Naruto looked back at Shadow but the dog was waging his tail, still standing close to the blond.

Naruto then turned the light off and closed the door firmly, next he went to the last door. Breathing deeply and almost gagging at the stench, Naruto turned the bedroom lights on. He quickly got into a stance that would allow him to sprint if need be and looked around the cold desalinate room. Nothing was there, except the bed and desk along with the book case. Walking into the room Naruto got onto his knees hearing them crack a little. He pulled his knife like dagger free from it’s confine and slowly laid a shaking hand on the bed cover. Counting to three mentally, the blond flung the cover over the bed and looked under the bed quick with the knife ready in his hands. Naruto was breathing hard looking at nothing...

He couldn’t believe it He had been worked up all for nothing. There wasn’t anything under the bed except a pink sock. He didn’t know where that had come from and frankly he didn’t care. Sitting back on his haunches Naruto scratched his head feeling pretty dumb. Chuckling a little he got up and headed towards the door with Shadow right behind him. Closing and locking the door Naruto started to head back downstairs when he felt a breeze hit him in his face caring a stench of rotten eggs and death along with it. He heard Shadow growl deeply in his throat, but the blond wasn’t paying attention to the dog. No he was looking at the attic door, which was wide open.

Naruto started to visibly tremble, he could see only a little past the dark cold attic. He wanted to close the door but he couldn’t move. He had never gone up there and didn’t plan to either. Taking a deep breathe and covering his nose Naruto sprinted towards the door intent on closing it. The closer he got the better view he saw. Right on the door was a dark red Spiral. OH SHIT! He thought.

Naruto stumbled back before looking left to right wildly. Someone was in the house and he was sure of it. The attic door was always closed no matter what. Naruto quickly went towards the stairs wanting to get back to his room where his cell was or better yet to get out of the house fast.

Naruto walked fast down the stairs trying to be quiet, his breathing was so loud to him he had to try and take deep calming breaths so no one would hear him. ‘He knew his neighbor was out to get him.’ Naruto thought frantically jumping the last three steps. He looked around the house seeing that some of the lights were off. Naruto ran silently towards the living room sticking to the walls and frequently looking around from corner to corner. He was almost towards the door when he thought he saw shadowy figures walking around in the living room, seemingly inspecting his stuff.. Naruto took a step back teeth clenched. He couldn’t get to the front door. He didn’t even know if there were more then two of them. The next best thing would be his room. Naruto back stepped into the hallway and made sure not to creek the floor boards as he passed.

Shadow was right behind him. Naruto scowled at the dog. Wasn’t he supposed to protect him? He finally made it to his room and closed the door softly before swiftly walking towards his bed intent on getting his cell phone by the floor of the night stand. Naruto had seen his cat Ramen by the window sill with flat ears bent towards it’s head and his tail fluffed up. Naruto would have laughed at the picture if he was not in serious trouble. He suddenly stopped what he was doing though when he heard Shadow growl viciously. Naruto turned to hear footsteps creek on the wood floor. Panicked he just stood there in horror, he didn’t think he could even move right now.

He could hear his heart thudding against his chest painfully as he heard the creaking getting closer then it stopped. Naruto looked towards the dog again fearfully. Shadow had his tail straight and was showing his teeth at the door. He barked and the thing on the other side of the door stooped fully. Naruto broke out of his panic attack and swiftly moved his hand and grabbed his cell. Then he walked slowly towards the door again, intent on locking it. In his rush to get to the cell phone, he had stupidly left it unlocked. He was almost there, he was just right beside the dog when he heard the door open.

Naruto took in a sharp breathe seeing his intruder for the first time. He had thought it was his neighbor, heck he even betted that it was his neighbor but no it wasn’t.

The guy had short spiked up silver hair, with red streaks in it. He had gray narrow glossy eyes with thin rimmed glasses on. He wore black leather pants and a black tight shirt, his feet were bare. But that wasn’t what caught Naruto’s eyes it was his mouth. He had blood dripping from his chin. Naruto quickly backed up as the intruder took a step forward. He could hear the glasses guy breathing, it was so quiet in the room. Shadow growled at him and stepped in front of Naruto warning the man to back off.


The man took another step and it triggered Shadow to littarly jump at him. The man hissed and brought up his hands in defense as the dog bit into his arm. Naruto had stumbled onto the bed before standing on it just watching. He couldn’t do anything, he felt like an idiut standing on his bed rooting for a dog. Then he remembered the cell phone still clenched in his hands. He could call for help or help out Sasuke’s dog or something.

By now the intruder had slammed the dog into the piles of CD stacks, spilling them all over. Shadow bared his teeth and slammed into the intruders arm sinking his sharp teeth into it.

Naruto looked by his night stand, lip curled and grabbed an object throwing the lamp at the guy trying to help Shadow. The lamp hit the man on the head. The guy turned his head towards the blond showing abnormally sharp teeth before he fell to the ground in a heap. Naruto’s breathe hitched in his throat. What the hell was this guy? Naruto, jumped off his bed and turned on his cell phone, he was trying to inch forward towards the door, not wanting the guy to get back up. Shadow and that bump couldn’t keep this man at bay for long, he had to get out of the room.

Naruto slipped behind him and was almost to the door when a soft melody noise hit the atmosphere. His phone was telling Naruto it was ready. The guy turned around on the floor to see Naruto dart out of the door already making a quick call for help. Naruto was breathing fast and hard as he darted out of the room and into the hallway. He could get out of the house and scream for help. He dialed the first number that was on the phone with shaking hands trying to block out everything else.

“Naruto what do you...” Kiba said on the other line.

“Kiba you have to AHHHH,” Naruto screamed, something had grabbed his waist and flung the blonde’s back into the wall. Coughing Naruto staggered upright only to have his hand be slapped away along with the phone that skidded to the opposite wall where it lay waiting by the living room.

“You aren’t going anywhere Naruto.” The maniac said before pushing his glasses up and smirking.

Looking up he saw the maniac with glasses. How had he gotten to him so fast! and what about knowing his name?

The maniac stepped forward towards Naruto seemingly reaching out to the blond. But before the stranger got any closer, Shadow stepped in front of his master. Naruto wanted to cry with all the cuts the dog had and he was still up and fighting for him. Naruto was not going to let the dogs battle be in vain, Naruto turned and looked around the livingroom as the fight continued. It was to far for the front door and it was locked so it would take to long. The kitchen had the same factors for help and the window... THE WINDOW Naruto looked back making sure that the guy was preoccupied with Shadow.

They were both fighting right in front of the kitchen entryway. With the maniac kicking and punching, while Shadow was biting and scratching. Loud barks and snarls to yells could be heard throughout the house.

Naruto narrowed his eyes determined and clenched his fists. He quickly made his way towards the window. His breathing getting ragged and adrenalin pumping through his veins. Naruto stumbled across the floor seemingly to find any and all objects in his way. He finally had made it to the window and was going to open it when he heard a sickening crack, vibrate through the room. Trembling Naruto dreaded to turn around to find what it was. He turned already knowing what it was, Shadow was on the floor, where he lay still panting hard and looking at the disfigured broken leg. The intruder grinned and kicked the dog against the wall where it laid and didn’t seem to be getting up.

Naruto chocked back his only sob and turned ready to just jump out the window glass and all. He stopped dead in his tracks though. The second intruder that he had seen earlier was by the wreaked TV system. Naruto backed up seeing the other intruder, he didn’t know what else to do.

He had long black hair flowing around his face, his skin was as pale as the moonlight. His eyes glowed an eery yellow. Naruto looked at the rest of his attire, with a dark blue tight shirt and leather pants that had chains going throughout the hips. What the hell His mind screamed it wasn’t his next door neighbor either. No it was worse this guy was supposed to be missing, DEAD.

Naruto quickly shook his head to rid of his thoughts when he bumped into the glasses guy. He stiffened completely forgetting about the guy. Naruto stepped forward wanting to get away but strong cold arms rapped around him. He screamed and kicked out with his leg nailing the guy right in his jewels. The maniac pushed Naruto forward where he landed right into the others grasp. Naruto had his breathe knocked out because the chest he had hit was like marble.

“I see you aren’t glad to see me.” Yellow eyes said with mock hurt. Naruto widened his eyes wanting to get away from them and fast. He twisted and turned before he was literally picked up with his feet dangling off the floor and thrown onto the cream colored couch. The next thing he knew was that the dark haired man had slithered right up his body before looking straight down at him. Naruto tried to glare weekly at the glowing yellow eyes before they turned purple and slitted. WHAT THE FUCK His mind screamed, no one could do that even if they were paid.

“It’s finally nice to meet you Naruto Uzumaki.”He said with a cruel smile. Naruto trying to ignore this bastard heard rustle by the kitchen door only to see even more people come in. Where the hell were they coming in from.

“How do you know my name Orochimaru.” Naruto grounded out. He couldn’t see straight, and he was getting hot even though the being on top of him was cold. “Your supposed to be missing, dead.” Naruto said trying to push the guy off of him. If he made enough noise maybe someone would come and help.

Orochimaru straightened before laughing in a sickly hissing fashion. “Yes I was, I was already sick and was dying, then one night I met an old acquaintance of mine and he changed my life.” He finished. Naruto just stared, what was this freak talking about. You can’t die and then live again

“NO, what do you want.” Naruto yelled, he was shaking so bad his teeth were chattering.

“All in due time, for now we need to hurry.” Replied the man. Naruto kept looking up into the eyes trying to get back some semblance. He gasped when he felt a cold hand running down his stomach and hips. What the hell was this guy trying to do?

Naruto looked up higher with wide frightened eyes to see the bastard smiling, and for the first time Naruto got a good look at his teeth, they were pointed. Was this guy a fanatic with vampires or something. Naruto shook his head vampires and ghosts weren’t real and all his life he has just been paranoid. Naruto thought fiercely even though he was lying to himself.

His train of thought disappeared when he felt the hands that were roaming his body go in between his legs. Naruto gasped and opened his eyes wide, the hand was rubbing him. Moaning unintentionally a little Naruto tried to stop but why? It felt good so why stop. Arching up Naruto parted his lips panting. He couldn’t think the only thing he felt was this mans hands.

“Ahhh”. Naruto moaned out trying to move with the hand. He saw the dark haired man smile before grabbing Naruto’s blond hair and kissed him. Naruto closed his eyes kissing back, finding that the guys tongue was long and went everywhere. In the background he could faintly here voices speaking in rhythm.

He broke the kiss before attacking Naruto’s long neck, licking and nipping at it. Grunting Naruto arched again and moaned loudly when the body on top started to move grinding into him.

“Don’t move.” He heard before long sharp teeth dug into his neck. Naruto opened his mouth with a silent cry as they both moved faster. Panting raggedly, Naruto felt heat build up throughout his body wanting to explode out of somewhere.

“Say you like it.” Orochimaru said from above him. “Say it Naruto, be mine.” He demanded pushing even harder on the blonde. Naruto pulled back his head, with his eyes shut.

“Uhhh... I ahh” Naruto panted for breathe completely lost to the world. “ I lik...” All of a sudden there was a crash through the window and wood that flew through the air.

Orochimaru looked up with his snake like eyes to narrow at the intruders, he almost had him. He quickly jumped off the couch and beside his servant, when a thrown knife was heading towards his head. The snake snarled upon seeing Kakashi and his rag tag team of hunters that had already engaged in fighting his men.

“Kukuku, Kakashi I see you still have that missing eye.” Orochimaru taunted.

“Orochimaru by the class of 39831 you are under arrest for leading the cult and murdering over six people.” Kakashi stated moving his hands, signaling for the rest of his team to surround the snake.

“You wont catch me Kakashi, and I will have what is mine.” Orochimaru said before slowly seeping into the carpet along with his servants, seemingly being swallowed up in darkness.

Kakashi sighed, he knew that bastard was going to do that. Looking over the place he went to the kid making sure he was alright and not infected. He turned an unconscious Naruto’s head to the left to see the bite marks but no Spiral. It seemed that he made it just in time before the ritual was complete.

“Alright I want this house quarantined and searched. Then I want A team to scout the perimeter to see if any of those bastard’s are still here. MOVE!” Kakashi ordered. Part of the group split up moving throughout the house, while others went outside.

Kakashi himself had ordered a medic to see if they could stabilize the victim. He knew he should have moved earlier. Running a hand through his short silver hair he inspected the rest of the room. Seeing that the TV screen was cracked in and spots of blood were here and there not to mention mud prints on the floor. The window was broken by the right wall with glass shards all over the floor. The door was a wreak, hanging by a hinge and splintered wood all over the place.

“Hey stop you can’t go in there.” Kakashi heard someone shout outside. He turned around only to see a black blur come staggering into the wreaked front door and imminently stopped. He could see the drawing horror on the young man’s face.

“What?” Sasuke said into the silent room.
