Truth
This is what I like to call a filler. Poor Naruto.
Drabble Six - Truth
"So. Too scared to tell him yourself, eh?"
Naruto sighed. It had been a few hours after Iruka had invited Shino to his apartment room, and he still wasn't back. Of course, it didn't surprise the blonde. Hell, he was expecting this to happen. He expected this the moment he asked his sensei to tell Shino... for Shino to run off and never see him again.
"Hmm... what are you going to do?"
Naruto grunted. "About what?"
"Well..." replied the voice slyly. "It's obvious he's not coming back..."
Crumpling his hands into fists, he asked, "What makes you say that?"
The voice laughed harshly. "What makes me say that...? Isn't it obvious?"
"Shut the fuck up." the blonde said through gritted teeth.
"Getting angry are we...?" asked the voice. Naruto could hear the damn fox sneering. "What next? Are you going to cry...? Big, strong man -"
"SHUT UP!" Naruto roared.
"Oh come now... Profanity isn't going to change anything now, is it? Well... I can't blame you. Just listen to what the villagers have to say!"
Naruto swore, blinking back tears. He hated that damn fox, and he hated what he had said.
"Sorry to break it to you..." he said grinning madly. "But he isn't coming back..."
Why? It was the truth.
Ah boy. Sorry for not updating sooner, and sorry for the last two chapters being so short! I'll try to get the next one in earlier.
