Since I am over my mother's house I am trying to pump out as many updates as I possibly can. Which is hard when youn consider the fact that she has dial-up and the stupid peoplespc will cut you off in a heartbeat. I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season and get what they want for christmas (not neccessarily does it have to be monetary). I hoping Santa will drop me either a new computer or the cash for one because this is sad. And for all of those people who still believe in Santa Claus (because I do) I will send you milk (strawberry) and cookies (snickerdoodles).

DesperadoSweetie Thanks for taking the time to review he story, I would have placed on the last chapter but you must have reviewed while I was typing up the last chapter. There are many surprises uinstore for you and since I do not wishto sppoil them the only thing I can say is that yes this is before Sasuke became an Anbu. Also there will be at least two more chapters before there is direct Sasuke and Naruto action but I do not think you will be disappionted with the substitutes (at least I hope not). And not to throw big hints or anything but because it's mpreg who says that it has to be Naruto who is knocked up although anything is possible (things that make you go hmm).

Spoon Thanks for the compliment about the story, I like a couple of your stories but I have to admit that Midnight's Moon is definitely my favorite of your works, with Diffrent Times,Different Places as a really close second. I hope that you will be updating it soon. I hope that like this chapter as well.

I am also glad that I did not loss such you as a reader just because I took so long to update (even though it was because of circumstances beyond my control). Chapter 5: Someone To Die For

Sasuke was begining to believe that maybe the problems with Itachi didn't begin the night he murdered the clan and he didn't know how he felt about that. On the one hand it menat that his brother might not have been responsible for the actions that lead to the massacre of the clan. But on the other hand if the conspiracy was hatched and planned by the main house then that left the rest of the clan innocent and they should not have been sentenced to a gruesome death at the hands of his brother, and what about mother. Did she know about the things that was going on and how it would or could possibly effect her eldest son mental state. If she did, does that mean she deserved to be killed by her oldest son. But I can't make a good judgement call on the little facts that have been presented, even though it's been informative these little bit of pages have not even begun to til me anything. I have no choice now but to continue until either all my questions have been answered or the end of the journals, so Sasuke began reading again were he had left off.

After Aunt Orihime had convinced my father of the rightness of keeping and having a journal, she had an even tougher time of it with me. Did she think that after hearing all tha crap and the way father had jumped on her bandwagon that I would want to have anything to do with it or even use it, but I told her I would just so I wouldn't hurt her feelings. She looked at me as if to say "I know you are lying", then said that even if the best ninja is not supposed to express emotions in the field, if they didn't have a place to vent they would either go insaneor loose their humanity. Auntie then told me as she rubbed my hair (treating me like a kid which I hate) that she didn't want me to go crazy and start putting foil in my hair to keep the little people from outer space from reading my thoughts or become a walking icicle like a certain stuck up bitch (where do you think I got my colorful vocabulary from).


My Aunt Orihime never forgave my mother for throwing me to the ground when I was a baby, when I threw up on her. Auntie had to be restained from killing her and was put on clan house arrest for that stunt. Although I think the reason that she was locked up was because mother was furious that she had laughed at her. Auntie is sort of a outcast when in the family because of her parentage and looks. She was always a favorite target of my mother's because she has pale skin like the rest of us, but her hair is blonde and her eyes are a blue-green. My family is forever trying to make the perfect weapon and thought by combining our clan with another blood clan limit which seemed compatable they would have the ultimate weapon with a child that would be able to use both clans gifts but it didn't turn out that way, and Auntie was the result of the experiment. It was deteremined that only a male could pass on her other families abilities and the combination of female chromosomes and their clans kekkei negated the ability for the sharigan to manifest itself. All this however was not determined until after she was born. Because the main branch considered her a failure the rest of the clan considered her useless as well. Since her ninja skills was not that great, but she was part of the main brach she was trained to be the clans historian.


That brings us to the reason I am writing in you today. Since I don't want to cause her anymore pain but I feel as if I am going to explode inside I decided to follow Aunties advice and write in you to relieve some tension. Let me start from the beginning. Father called me in his study this morning to tell me some disturbing news "that as the heir of the clan I must be informed of" (his words not mine). I should have found it odd that my mother was smiling, if the situation was as dire as my father made it to be. I just chalked it up to her just being her usual moody sadistic self. Then after my father had seemed to be droning on forever about the illustriousness of the great Uchiha clan he started in on the fact that we must do whatever is neccessary to maintain our position within the community as to not loss face. In his own roundabout way he was finally starting to get to the real problem when there was a knock on the door and after identifying herself my Aunt walked in. Now I found it odd that he would call her seeing as he usually stayed as far a way from as possible since my mother disliked her so much, so seeing them togeter without any special occasion was begining to worry me especially with my mother's barely contained glee in her eyes. Then father stated that what he was about to disclose to me was a secret that only the main house was aware of and that what I was about to be told was to go no further than the occupants of this room. Then he said that there had been a secret meeting between those clans who had kekkeis and that they had mutally come to a decision based on the recent events that had been happening to all those who had blood limits. Since those who have kekkeis are either feared by the average ninja or envied we had become targets. Due to the pressures of the major clans and villagers, a leader in snow country had eliminated all the kekkei clans that lived there and was urging leaders in other countries to hunt down blood limit clans and eliminate them from their countries as well. The shock must have shown on my face because my Auntie always able to read me said that we in Konoha had nothing to worry about because the Sandaime would never follow this witch hunt, but it did but all of us in a precarious position. Clearing his throat my father said that it really didn't matter and was beside the point. Then he said that all the heads of the kekkei clans had decided that the orgins of the kekkei clans must be destroyed and those who knew the secret silenced. Since that information would give those who was jealous of us and the leaders who was supporting them the edge they needed to totally annihilate us. I began to get the feeling that I now understood the reason for the my mother's joy and I couldn't believe it.

Sasuke began to suspiously look around his home for a moment before he remembred he was being foolish. If he hadn't found everything himself, saw his father's handwriting ,and knew the condition of his home he would have sworn that this diary and the evidence found with it was a prank tht Naruto ws playing on him. It was almost to unbeleiveable to be real.


What was so special about the origins of the clans that they would kill their own to guard the secret. It would have to be big since on the whole most kekkei clans did not get along and in general had nothing to do with each other. Did the Hyugas do the same thing and have to take the same measures. Sasuke thought back to the chuunin exams when Naruto had fought Neiji, and he had spoke of his father being sacrificed to save the head of the clan.


"Was this what Neiji meant about the sacrifice of one of the clan to save the way of life of the rest. Did his father really die for the reason he was told or did it have to do with the meeting that father mentioned in his journal."


"This is begining to become even more of a thornier problem than I first thought. Everytime I think I am finally getting a handle on things, there is another layer below it which needs to be explained.
Is this what Kakashi means by, "checking underneath the underneath". I wonder if he is in on the conspiracy or at least knows something about it since he has the sharigan."


"Maybe that was a message for me or a forewarning of things that I should be aware of. Since everyone is gone except me I have no other option except to ask the head of the Hyuga clan. Which will not be easy because of the dislike between the two clans and possibly because his brother could have been involved. Add the secrecy factor in and this makes everything even more tumbled and jangled making everything even more complicated."


"Since this is going to take a little delicacy and diplomacy which I am not known for. I could ask Naruto to speak to Hinata since she has had a crush on him, but for some reason I think that will complicate matters even further. I do know one thing though I am going to speak with Kakashi tommorrow and see what he has to say. Even though I don't want to I should stop reading for now and focus on what I am going to say to him, because trying to trip up Copycat Kakashi is going to be a job within itself. I mean when were trying to look under his mask we couldn't even see anything but another mask. That just means the mission I set for myself is not going to be easy. But before that I am going to look around for the Dobe. I want to talk to him and see how pissed off he is at me, and how much ass I am going to have to kiss plus the bowls of ramen I am going to have to buy. Then get his help in tag-teaming Kakashi without telling him anything for now."
