Sakura ran off to get the Hokage. Sasuke looked down at his lover worriedly. Naruto had entered the room, and knelt down beside Sasuke. “Sasuke, let’s try to get him on the bed,” he said, “Perhaps we can make him a little more comfortable.”
“He has a cane that he is supposed to be using, but he never does,” Sasuke said, “He complained that it was too hard with his leg and arm being the way they are.”
“Quit talking about me like I am not even here,” Neji snapped, “this really hurts.”
Sasuke glared at his lover and then sighed. “Well, if you would do what the medics tell you, then you wouldn’t be in this mess, now would you?” he said harshly, “They told you to ask for help if you think you need it and then they gave you that cane to use……….it is not that difficult to figure out.”
“Whose side are you on?” Neji asked softly, “Obviously, it’s not mine.”
The Uchiha growled in frustration. “Damnit, Neji,” he snapped, “I want you to get as healthy as you can, I want you to be able to move around and not feel that people are staring, but you are kind of making it difficult.”
Neji flinched away from the harsh voice and lifted his right arm in defense. “I’m sorry, Sasuke,” he whispered.
Sasuke immediately felt guilty and laid his hand on Neji’s face. He was also angry that Neji felt he had to protect himself. “Neji, I wouldn’t hurt you,” he said gently, “Come on; let’s get you on the bed.”
Neji nodded and clenched his teeth as Sasuke lifted him. Naruto helped by lifting the damaged leg carefully, trying to keep steady. When Neji was settled on the bed, Sasuke laid down next to him. “I’m sorry,” he whispered, “I should have listened to you.”
Neji frowned. “You have nothing to be sorry for,” he said, “I should listen to you and the medics.”
The raven haired teen opened his mouth to reply, but the Hokage walked in. “Well, well, well,” she said, “What the hell happened?”
Neji turned his head slightly and sighed. “I tripped on the blanket and hurt my leg.”
Tsunade looked down at the leg and frowned. “I would say that hurt is an understatement,” she said, “I have to reset the leg and cast it.”
Sasuke looked up. “What about his therapy?”
“He is going to have to heal first,” she said, “Has he been using his cane?”
“No.”
“Damnit, Neji!” Tsunade swore, “It can prevent shit like this from happening!”
The Hyuuga nodded mutely and then reached out for Sasuke. “I will understand if you want to have my family take over,” he said softly, “I know how much you want to get back to the missions.”
Taking the pale, elegant hand in his, Sasuke kissed it gently. “I would never let them have you again.”
Neji smiled and held onto the strong hand. “Thank you,” he whispered.
Tsunade grinned. “Let’s get you fixed up,” she said, “and back to bed for some more rest.”
“I hate lying in bed all day,” he said sullenly, “Makes me feel useless.”
The Hokage shrugged and looked at Sasuke. “Bring him into the hospital,” she said, “I want to get this done.”
Sasuke got up and lifted Neji carefully. Naruto followed behind him to the hospital. When they got there, Kakashi was waiting outside of the hospital. Naruto smiled at him and looked at Sasuke. “Hey, if you need any help, let me know,” Naruto said.
Sasuke nodded and walked into the building. Naruto turned to his Sensei and walked over. “What are you doing tonight?” he asked.

Tsunade looked over Neji and frowned. “Neji, you really must learn how to use that cane,” she said, “When you are back on your feet, you will start your classes and therapy.”
Neji glared at the Hokage. “Don’t you dare,” she said, “Sasuke has to be able to go back on missions and he won’t be able to focus if he is worried about you!”
“Yes, ma’am,” Neji said, bowing his head.
Sasuke stepped into the room and looked at the two nin. “Is he going to be all right?” he asked.
“Just needs to take it easy,” Tsunade said, “I will check them on the day I run all of the other scans that I have to do, he should be healed by then.”
Nodding, Sasuke lifted Neji up and looked at Tsunade. “Anything else?” he asked.
“Yes, he will have a wheel chair, so he is not completely dependent on you,” she said, “And some new painkillers, he may need them.”
Neji listened carefully, processing the information. “I won’t have to lie in bed?” he asked.
Both nin looked him. Sasuke kissed him on the forehead and smiled. “No, baby,” he said.


Kakashi looked at the younger man. “Nothing, why?” he said.
Naruto stepped closer. “I need some help with a jutsu,” Naruto said, “Do you think you can help me tonight?”
The Copy Nin nodded. “I will meet you at your apartment,” he said, “Be ready at 6.”
Naruto nodded. “When is my next mission?”
“Day after tomorrow, with Sasuke,” he said.
The demon vessel nodded and looked around. “I will see you later,” he said.
Closing the distance between them quickly, Naruto pulled Kakashi close and yanked his mask down. He kissed and, leaving the Copy Nin weak in the knees. “Keep an eye in Neji.” Naruto said.
