Chapter five: Learning

Previously:
The deep chuckle was heard again, as Naruto was pushed out of his own mind and into the real world again, where he was standing in the middle of Sasuke’s kitchen. He smirked.
“Can’t wait until you get back, Teme…” He said to himself, with a sadistic chuckle.

Sasuke’s POV-

I hurried down the gravel street that led to the college. I had no clue what time it was until I looked at my watch. That dobe had me running late! I turned at the corner of the road and looked around. Where is Sakura? She meets me here every morning… not that I need her with me, or anything. I continued my walk towards our school, shrugging off the fact that Sakura hadn’t met up with me.
“Sasuke-Kuuuuunnn!~” I heard the loud, annoying voice boom behind me. I turned around and saw a pink haired girl running towards me.

“Sorry about being late, and thanks for waiting!” She beamed. She obviously didn’t see me walking away from our usual meeting spot.
“Hn.” I shrugged, and she rolled her eyes at me.
“When are you going to stop with that? It bugs the heck out of me!” She suddenly shouted, her emerald green eyes looking ahead.

We walked the rest of the way in silence. We reached the large grayish building, and she started walking away from me.
“I’ll go wake up Shikamaru and Chouji!” She said before running off. I sighed to myself, happy to be alone again and walked into the building. It was crowded, as usual, and people were sitting around or standing and talking in groups. I heard some girls whisper as I passed them. I rolled my eyes and kept walking.
I reached the hallway where my first class was, and I noticed it was deserted.
‘Yes!’ I thought to myself, as I walked towards the third door which was my first class.

Suddenly, I felt someone behind me, and I caught a glimpse or brown hair before something heavy was against my back as I was crushed into the wall.
“Hey handsome…” I felt the breath tickle my neck, and I growled. I elbowed the person who was holding me there, but it didn’t hurt them.
“Get off of me, Kiba!” I growled, struggling. Kiba released me and chuckled. He thought it was funny, but it wasn’t that fun for me.
“Jeez, you’re so easily spooked, Sasuke!” He said, still laughing.
“I wasn’t ‘spooked’, I just don’t want people molesting me in a hallway.” I said and brushed my shirt off. “Besides, I’m not gay, like you.” I said with a roll of my eyes.
“Hey, that wasn’t nice!” He said with a fake pout. Just then, three other people came walking down the hall. “Hey, Shika, Chou!” He said shouted with a large grin.
Shikamaru’s eyes’ were half open, and his hands were stuck in his pockets. Shikamaru was always tired. Chouji had a bag of potato chips in his hand, as usual.
“What, no ‘hey’ for me?” Sakura asked, poking Kiba in the arm. Kiba simply chuckled and turned towards the door. All five of us walked into the room where our first class would be held.

Back at Sasuke’s house, with Naruto

Third person POV

Naruto was lying on the couch, one arm hanging off the side and on arm on his stomach.
“I’m so bored!” He grunted. “I don’t even know where anything is. And I can’t go outside, because I don’t want to risk getting caught. Kyuubi, what do I do?” He spoke aloud.

** I don’t know, why don’t you look around? You haven’t seen that boy’s room, yet…**

Naruto huffed, but got up anyways.
“Fine, it’s better than sitting around doing nothing.” He said quickly, and walked towards Sasuke’s room. He opened the door slowly, and it creaked. His room was pretty normal; a bed with blue covers, a nightstand, a dresser and another door which he could assume was a closet, and a mirror placed over the nightstand. He walked in and sat on the bed. It was comfortable and king sized. “He could have just let me sleep beside him. This bed is huge!” He grumbled, remembering the sofa, and rubbing his hips.

He saw something shining from the corner or his eye, and moved his head. It was the blue necklace Sasuke was holding when they met at the beach. He reached out to touch the familiar object, and picked it up. He looked around, as if to look if anyone was there.
‘Of course no ones here, Sasuke’s gone to school…’ He thought and shook his head at his own stupidity. Naruto undid the small metal part that held the two ends of the string together, and re-attached it at the back of his neck. He stood up to look in the mirror.

The necklace shone around his neck, and it matched his azure eyes perfectly.

** It looks good on you, Kit… ** Kyuubi purred inside him.

“Yeah, and it’s really girly, too.” Naruto said under his breath and yanked the necklace off, putting it back on the nightstand.
He heard Kyuubi huff inside him, and he walked out of the room, and into the kitchen.
“Do you know how to cook, Kyuubi? I’m hungry…” He said aloud again, and looked around.

** What? The boy didn’t feed you? **

Naruto rolled his eyes.
“I don’t need someone to ‘feed’ me! I’m not some pet, you stupid fox!” Naruto shouted, and went through the cupboards. He found another little bowl like the on he had the night before. “Oh, this looked easy enough to make!” He said, and put it on the counter. He took the kettle Sasuke had used and put it on the stove. “Nothing’s happening, Kyuubi!” He whined, and heard Kyuubi huff inside him.

** First off, why don’t you try putting some water in it? And then you have to put the stove on, and wait for the water to boil… **

Naruto grinned.
“Thanks, Kyuu!” He said, and took the kettle over to the sink to poor water in it. He then moved a dial on the stove and put the kettle back on it. “There! Now I have to wait…” Narutuo reminded himself, and leaned against the counter. A few minutes later, the kettle started to make a loud noise, and Naruto removed it from the stove hurriedly.

“Ouch!” He shouted, as he felt something sting the side of his hand. “What the hell?” He asked aloud, confused, and looked at the side of his hand. It was all red!

** You burnt yourself, smarty. Nice going… **

Naruto grimaced and shook his hand.
“Meh… I’m too hungry to think of that right now…” He said, removing the lid from the little bowl that said ‘Ramen’, and pouring the water in. He immediately started digging in, ignoring his burnt hand.

You know if you get hurt, I get hurt too, right? Kyuubi growled.

“Of course, why don’t you just heal yourself, or something?” Naruto asked in between bites. Kyuubi simply huffed and laid his big head on his front paws.

Kamakura Facility- Roof

Doctor Uchiha held down his long hair with one hand, protecting it from the wind the helicopters were making. The memory of the day before popped into his head.
“As soon as possible… But, if you find experiment 4, do not harm it. It is much to valuable to us.”
He growled inwardly, and turned towards Hyuuga-San.
“Are we clear?” Itachi asked, and the girl nodded in response. He hopped into the helicopter, which was full of big men in suits, and as soon as the door closed, they were off the ground.

He didn’t like this. Not one bit.

Kohona College

Sasuke yawned as he walked out of the front door, and stretched his arms a little one he was outside. Sakura skipped beside him happily, as she hummed her own little song. She looked over at her friend and frowned.
“You can’t be that tired! What did you do last night?” She asked, right after Tsk’ing him.
“Helped this strange kid… who…” He trailed off. He had completely forgotten about Naruto.
“What? Helped who?” Sakura pushed, interested.
“I found some kid on the beach last night, and let him stay at my house over night…” He said, shrugging. “No big deal.” He added. Sakura’s eyes widened slightly.
“Is he still at your house?” She asked quickly, and received a nod from Sasuke. She growled and hit him over the head.
“You moron! You left a kid alone in your house? What if he gets hurt? Or what if he’s a psychopath, or a thief!” She continued with a gasp. “I’m coming over. If you die, I’ll be stuck with Kiba and the guys, that won’t be fun…” She said quickly and grabbed Sasuke’s arm, pulling him along faster. The raven shook his head, and rolled his eyes.
Oh boy…
-----

The two friends reached Sasuke’s house in a couple of minutes, and Sasuke fished in his pocket for his house keys. He pushed it into the lock and opened the door. They walked into the house and Sasuke turned on the lights.
There, on the sofa, laid a blond boy with a book open on his stomach.
“Kid? That’s no kid, he’s probably like… seventeen or something!” Sakura nearly shouted, and Sasuke shrugged. “You really are stupid aren’t you… you can’t just invite someone into your house! What about calling the police? Did you ask him questions? Does he know where he is? What do you know about him?” Sakura’s questions stopped when they heard a grunt from the sofa.
“Wha- Sasuke, who’s that?” The blond said as he lifted himself up from the sofa, lazily.
Sakura simply smiled.
“I’m Sakura, Sasuke’s friend. I’m studying to become a nurse. It’s nice to meet you, err…” She looked at Sasuke.
“It’s… Naruto.” Sasuke muttered, and Sasuke beamed back.
“Naruto! Wow, what a lovely name…” She complimented. “Do you think we can ask you a couple of questions, Naruto?” She asked, and her voice seemed unsure.
“Sure, why not…” Naruto shrugged.

Thirty minutes later, the three of them were still sitting around the kitchen table. Sakura had learned was that Naruto had fallen into the ocean from an island, and that his parents were killed when he was younger. When she asked him how and why he had fallen from the island, he refused to answer. Sakura huffed and leaned over to Sasuke.
“I think you should tell someone… the police, perhaps?!” She urged, whispering.
“No!”
The two turned to see a pissed off Naruto, but the blonds expression soon turned soft.
“Please... I don’t want to go there. It scares me…” He pleaded, and Sakura took pity on him.
“Alright, alright. But you know that it’s usually what normal people do when they find a lost person who doesn’t even remember what happened three days ago!” She huffed and walked into Sasuke’s room.
“Hey, what are you doing in my room?!” Sasuke shouted.
“I’m sleeping here tonight, whether you like it or not!” Sakura shouted. “I’ll just borrow some of your cousin’s clothes, like last time…” Her voice was quieter.
It was going to be a long night… It’s a good thing that it’s Saturday tomorrow…
