Heart of a Fox

Ch.6

Naruto woke the next morning feeling amazing, but not 100%.

[Don't worry about feeling a little off. Normally, I work on you while you sleep because that's when your body is the most succeptible to my influences.]

' You mean you can control my body while I sleep.'

[No, the seal your father used only allows me minor control, mainly your bodies immune and recuperative systems. The only reason you can hear me is your subconciously listening for me, and hell that is only because my screaming finally got your attention while you where half-awake.]

'Okay. Well, we better get going. Tsunade wants to give us something and after that I have a lot to tell Hinata.'

At that Naruto took a quick shower, got dressed and ran as fast as he could to the Hokage's Tower.

Now, Naruto had been standing outside Tsunade's office waiting for Tsunade for a few minutes.

"Oh! Naruto I thought you would have slept in longer." Tsunade spoke from down the hall, carrying a large chest over her shoulder. Naruto turned and waved. "Sorry, I thought I would have had more time and this was buried under a bunch of Uchiha junk. This is for you."

"What's in it?"

"Well...Your inheritance. Come on inside and we'll crack this thing open." She said waving Naruto into her office.

Once inside Tsunade dropped the chest on the floor right in front of her desk.

"In truth I'm not susposed to give this to you before your 18th birthday or at least until you were a chunin. But then again I wasn't susposed to tell you about your father before that either. So I guess it doesn't matter any more."

That's when Tsunade placed her had on the paper seal over the lock forcing her chakra into the seal, burning it away.

The first thing out of the chest was a long black coat with a fox insignia on the back."When your mother was about your age, she had already become a very striking young lady. But her beauty was surpassed only by her intellegence. In time she earned the nickname "the human kitsune." She had this jacket made for your father to wear at their wedding. But I think she would love the idea of you wearing it."

Naruto stood up and pulled the black jacket on. At first the jacket seemed about two sizes too big, then Tsunade ran her hands across his shoulder blades and few moments later the jacket shrunk to a prefect fit.

Naruto was in awe, wondering how that had happened.

"As I said your mother was extreamly intelligent. She developed a seal, when she was young, the seal is stiched into the inside of your jacket. Add a little chakra and the jacket fits to the wearer. She told me that her weight fluxuated somewhat as she got older and got tired of altering her clothes and buying new ones."

The next thing to come from the chest came a pair of kodatchi. "Ahhh your fathers swords Kaji and Koori, fire and ice. Notice the markings on the side of each. On a base level they will allow you to coat the blade in their respective energies. Go ahead, all you have to do is focus your chakra into your hands like you would when standing on water and the swords will do the rest."

Naruto stood, drawing the blades form thier sheathes, and holding them out to his sides he began to focus his chakra . After a few moments Kaji ignited, engulfing the eintire length of its blade in flames. Followed quickly by Koori's blade being completely covered by frost and a fine mist started billowing from the ice and frost.

"There's one last thing in here that I want you to have right now, then I'll send this," tapping the side of the chest, "to your home. AH! there it is. Now the only question is," as Tsunade spoke she pulled an old key from a paper envelope. "which home do you want it sent to? The apartment you've been living in for the last fourteen years or so, or the house of your father?" she said handing the key over to Naruto.

Once again Naruto was shocked. He knew that his place was a shit-hole, but it was the only place he could get because no one else in the village was willing to take him on as a tenant. But for some strange reason he had gotten attached to that shit-hole.

Staring at the key in his hand, "I don't know, I need to think about it. But right now I need to talk to Hinata about a few things."

"If you don't mind me asking, are you going to tell her?"

"I probably would have told her last night if you didn't drag me out of there before I could start."

"Sorry, but last night Sakura came racing into my office ranting about a red claw reaching out of your back and stopping her from waking you. I though you might be losing control. So, I raced over there hoping I could keep you from totally losing it. But when I got there and saw Hinata up and stroking your hair I kind of lost track of what I was there for. Then the topic of you not sleeping very well over the last three days and I knew why the fox was able to manifest out side your body even if it was just a claw. So that's when I decided you needed to get some real restful sleep and wouldn't stop until you were in a bed sleeping."

"Don't worry about it I learned a lot last night.That reminds me, I need your help with something."

"What is it?"

"I found out why Kyubi attacked the village, and I told him I would help him find the guy responsible."

"What do you mean, the guy responsible"

"It a long story that I will be more that willing to tell after I get some things straightened out. And I was hoping you could help me identify the guy and then we would go from there."

"Sounds like a plan. How about we talk more about this later. So you can go 'straighten out' what you need to and then we will deal with the rest."

"Great, thanks. I gotta get going, later." at that Naruto returned his fathers swords into the sheathes and belted them to his hips, on his way out the door.
