Author's Note


Hey guys! So, I will now be updating on a weekly basis because my four day weekend is over, and I have to get back to school now!

But anyways, I'll try and get up a chapter by this weekend, but, some family is visiting, so I might not get the chance.

But anyways! In happier news! I've gotten 6 chapters done! So far my goal is kind of reached. My goal is to have five reviews per chapter. It's not a definite goal, but reviews boost my ego.xD

So recommend this story to your friends and tell them to review! Or at least to read it! The more readers I have, the happier I am. So far, it seems like I have what, like..... 5 constant readers? (Yes? No?) I'm only guessing, but anyways, enjoy!

Naruto looked confused. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes, he asked “I did?” Sakura smacked Naruto across the face and said annoyed “You idiot! I can’t imagine what Sasuke sees in you sometimes!” Naruto flushed and growled, ruffled and a bit upset by that statement “What’s that supposed to mean?!?” Sakura snapped “Exactly what you think it means idiot! Now hurry up and get dressed so that we can go already!” Sakura left the room as Naruto got out of bed to go shower. Sakura wasn’t interested in Naruto, so she had no interest in seeing him naked. Not to mention that since she expected privacy from Naruto when she was indecent.

After Naruto showered and changed into his new set of clothing, he met Sakura at the table for food. As Naruto ate his ramen, he said through a mouthful of food “So, what’s the plan?” Sakura said thoughtfully “Well, I thought we’d try talking to him again.” Naruto said after he swallowed “Again?” Sakura nodded and said “I don’t know, but I thought maybe Sasuke would be more receptive to talking. He’s always open to it after lunch time. He’s calm from like, one PM until about three PM. So I thought that he might be easier to calm down if you talked to him then.” Naruto nodded and said “Fine. Just let me eat first.” Naruto gobbled down the ramen as Sakura chattered away about random things that neither party really cared to talk about. However, it was only to fill in time until Naruto was done eating so that they could focus more on the real issue at hand.

Naruto and Sakura had spent the morning planning, but they couldn’t seem to come up with anything! Frustrated, Naruto and Sakura sat in the kitchen staring at the clock and thinking. Sakura had thought up so many ideas and had thought that they were brilliant! At least, until she found loopholes in them that wouldn’t work, when she lost her idea again. Finally, Naruto had had enough of the sitting around and thinking bullshit. He was never one to wait anyways. Blowing Sakura off, he made like a whirlwind towards the tower, determined to win his teme back. It wasn’t even noon yet an Naruto was already off to get himself killed. At least, that’s what Sakura thought as she followed after the whirlwind that was Naruto.

When Naruto arrived at the tower, he breezed through the guards until he reached the door to Sasuke’s office. With a shout of “Sasuke-teme! I’m coming in!” Naruto breezed into the office, only to freeze when he was met with the murderous gaze of the mangekyou sharingan. Naruto bounced up to Sasuke and said “Ne, teme! I’m b-“ Naruto’s passage was cut off as Sasuke grabbed him by the throat and slammed him onto the ground. Glaring at Naruto, Sasuke hissed “Don’t you fucking dare call me that. I don’t know who the fuck you are or why your ninjutsu is so good that I can’t see through it, but don’t you fucking dare call me that. You don’t even know me!”

“I’ll call you a bastard if you’re acting like a bastard teme!” Naruto gripped Sasuke’s hand, a growl escaping his lips. Sasuke said, angry “I told you, not to call me that!” Sasuke punched Naruto hard, releasing Naruto in the process. In response, Naruto punched Sasuke back, sending him flying into the wall. When both got to their feet, Naruto said with a snarl “I’m right here Sasuke. I don’t know why you’re refusing to accept it’s me!” Sasuke snapped “Because it’s not you! I don’t need some fucking idiot looking like Naruto! I’m going to fucking kill you and then I’m going to find the person that put you up to this and fucking kill them!” Naruto shouted “Get that stick out of your ass you arrogant prick! No one put me up to this!” Sasuke snorted and said “No way you’re Naruto! He’s been gone for four years! Why would be come back now? I’m not stupid.”

Frustrated, Naruto snapped “You might as well be stupid with all the shit you’re pulling!” Naruto stormed up to Sasuke and grabbed Sasuke by the collar and flung him out the window, shattering the glass as Sasuke went flying. In his haste, Naruto followed after, going through the window he’d broken and they both hit the ground with the brawl starting. Fists were flying, and it didn’t stop until both Sasuke and Naruto were on the ground, exhausted. Sasuke said with a tired, weak, snarl “Bastard, I don’t know who you are, but I’ll fucking kill you.” Naruto laughed weakly and said “No you won’t teme. You’d never forgive yourself if you killed me. You love me too much.”

Sasuke growled “I don’t love you. I love Naruto!” Naruto looked at Sasuke and said irritably “I’m getting tired of this game teme! I told you that I’m Naruto!” Sasuke sat up and growled, “Bullshit! You’re not Naruto!” Naruto sat up and punched Sasuke hard, followed by Sasuke punching Naruto. However, Sasuke passed out soon after, exhaustion taking its toll on him. Naruto scooted closer to Sasuke and grinned at Sasuke’s unconscious frame. Ruffling Sasuke’s hair tiredly, Naruto scooped Sasuke up onto his back and took Sasuke back to the tower. Leaving Sasuke on the couch, Naruto fondly kissed Sasuke’s forehead and murmured “Sorry teme.” He covered Sasuke with a blanket he found tucked away in the nearby closet, and left.

When Naruto got home, he had just finished showering and changing when Sakura came over with food. Anxiously she asked as they sat at the table eating “Well? Did it work?” Naruto looked at Sakura’s anxious face. She was hoping for so much, expecting so much from him, and he had to tell her that he had failed. Finally, he looked up at Sakura and offered her a sad smile “No, it didn’t work Sakura-chan. I think it’s too soon. He doesn’t recognize me anymore. He’s withdrawn into himself and convinced that I’ve died and abandoned him.” Sakura frowned. “So what do we do now then Naruto?”

“Now? Now we do nothing.”
