"You two are fucking ridiculous. I need to get the money this guy is offering to continue on living as I am; however neither of you seem to want to accept that point. Neither did either of you think that maybe, just maybe, if you'd simply asked me I would have spent as much time with you as you wanted, provided I could of gotten my work done" she told the two of them sharply, watching as they both looked at the ground guiltily.

"Naruko-chan" Hana whispered softly, sounding unsure of herself

"I'm going out; I'll be back in ten minutes or so. Oh, and Hana, never, never call me that again" she hissed darkly before leaving the house, leaving the two women to fret about how to fix the situation they had put themselves in.

Ten minutes later and Naruko walked back into the house, feeling somewhat calmer from the walk she'd had. The two women were nowhere to be seen as she walked into the living room until she spotted the two of them sitting outside, looking despondent and apparently talking to one another.

She walked over to the two of them, not bothering to hide her presence as the two of them went silent and turned to face her as she approached.

"Naruko-chan" Tsume said, her voice low as Naruko walked up and sat down behind the two of them before pulling them to her. She sighed as she held them both close to her, stroking their back's

"We're sorry" Hana muttered as she nuzzled against Naruko's neck

"I know you are"

"I'm sorry as well, for calling you a liar like that"

"I know. I shouldn't have snapped like that, I'm sorry"

"Did you drop off the report?" Tsume asked

"Yes"

"I'm sorry for being so selfish about that"

"Don't worry about it"

"But..."

"No buts"

"Fine"

Naruko just held them both close to her, whispering sweet nothings to both of them as they rested against her in the gentle warmth of the sun as it began its slow descent towards the western horizon.

Later that night and Naruko was slipping on the last of her clothes and putting her shoes back on, both Hana and Tsume were watching her with what seemed to be longing

"Don't worry" Naruko said as she turned to the two of them "I'll see you both later anyway" she said before leaning forwards and kissing both of them passionately

"See you later Naruko-chan" Hana said softly as Naruko pulled away from her

"Hmm, see you in a few days" Tsume said, Naruko smiled at the two of them before grabbing her jacket and walking out of the house just as Kiba walked back in, the boy not sparing her a glance as she walked past him like some kind of ghost, much to the amusement of the two other women.

"Hey mom, Nee-san" he said as he walked past them and made his way up to his bedroom only to pause on the stairs. That scent was there again, lingering not just on Hana but on the whole house

"What's the matter gaki?" Hana asked, somewhat mockingly

"Was someone here?" he asked as he turned to face the two of them, Akamaru barking in agreement

"Yes dear" Tsume said as she walked off

"Who?" he asked

"No one you know, I'm sure" Hana said dismissively as she walked past him to her room, leaving him standing there wondering why something felt so off about this whole situation.
