A Love Tested

The cheering could be heard even from miles outside of Konohagakure’s gates. After a long week of intense preparation, ends, the final stage of the Kage exam was getting ready to take place! The stands were crowded with almost all of the citizens from Konoha and Yuki, but for those who couldn’t make it, a mega-screen had been placed in both Yuki and Konoha for the event. The proctor for this particular match would be none other than their former Godaime; the busty, strong, Tsunade. The sun was in it’s noon alliance; the hottest point in that summer day. From the stands, the children of their closest friends and parents sat with banners. It was a gender-war at this point; the girls were cheering for Hinata, the boys were cheering for Naruto and this included the children. The sun was five minutes away from reaching it’s noon peak and five minutes away from when the contest was supposed to start. Tsunade looked at Sakura who was sitting in the stands, letting her know, with just a look, that there would be blood and to prepare for the worst. Tsunade held up a hand that demanded silence from the crowds.

“WELCOME ONE AND ALL TO THE FINAL ROUND OF THE KAGE EXAMS! LET”S GET STARTED!”

Everyone cheered wildly and Tsunade pointed to the left corner of the arena.

”IN THE RED CORNER, WEIGHING IN AT ONE-HUNDRED-SIXTY POUNDS, ALL MUSCLE, IS YOUR HOKAGE, UZUMAKI NARUTO!”

The crowds went insane when Naruto walked out wearing, not his Hokage robes, but his favorite, updated form of his orange jacket and matching pants set with nothing beneath the jacket except his necklace he’d gotten from Tsunade. His ‘fangirls’ squealed and screamed, throwing roses. The blonde Hokage, with the blonde version of Jiraiya’s hairstyle and stunning blue eyes, could only show them that great grin of his. Half the female audience had nosebleeds. Tsunade pointed to the other end of the arena and with mic in hand, bellowed,

”AND IN THE WHITE CORNER, HAILING ALL THE WAY FROM YUKIGAKURE, YOUR SNOW QUEEN AND YUKIKAGE, UZAMAKI-HYUUGA HINATA!”

The crowd cheered even louder and many whistles and catcalls sounded when Hinata stepped out onto the scene. She was adorned in her Yukikage outfit and a personal favorite of Naruto’s; a pure-white, mini-mini kimono, sleeveless, but with ‘detached’ sleeves that wrapped around her elbows and trailed all the way down to the rest of her arm. Around her thin waist was the long, ice-blue sash that almost trailed to the ground, tied into a ribbon in the back. She’d dyed her hair back to it’s natural color of black, that was tied with a white ribbon at the very end. On her feet were her favorite pair of white sandals with laces that trailed all the way up to her thighs, revealed by her almost indecently short skirt. Even from where he was sitting, Shikamaru took a sense of pride in seeing she was wearing the chakra-boosting earrings he’d given her when she was in the hospital a few years back. Around her neck was the diamond-shaped pendant made of crystal she never took off. Only a few people knew of the power of that pendant left to her by Minato Namikaze; the fourth Hokage. As the sun neared it’s hot, midday peak, the crowds grew silent.

“Hinata, Naruto, step forward.”

The twosome did, their eyes never averting from the other’s.

”This will be a battle with no time-limits. The rules are simple; the first one to fall and shows no sign of getting up loses. Anything goes, except death. Both of you have passed the physical tests and shown to be in top fighting shape. That said, let us begin!”

Everyone grew silent as Naruto and Hinata shook hands, the same message reading in their eyes; No Mercy. Tsunade waited the intense ten seconds until the sun reached it’s noon peak. Hinata and Naruto took their stances.

”FIGHT ON!” Tsunade yelled.

Hinata wasted no time in activating her Byakugen. She could see all around her, but focused her attention on Naruto in front of her. For this moment in time, he wasn’t her husband, he wasn’t the father of her child…He was her opponent in a no-holds barred match!

Naruto started off with an old favorite, but with a little modifying…

”TRY THIS! SEXY JUTSU; NARUTO STYLE!”

Hinata wondered what a bunch of girls could do to her and why he was wasting his time on a stupid jutsu like that. She and everyone else got their answer when fifty popping sounds rang out and when the dust cleared, had the stadium had a roof, it would have been blown off by the screams of the young girls who were major fans of Naruto. Fifty, perfect exact clones of half-naked male Narutos surrounded Hinata.

”THAT’S SO DIRTY!” Sakura raged from the battle.

The boys found it more than hysterical when Hinata turned bright red and began screaming and not in the good sense the other fangirls were. She wobbled for a moment before falling over in a dead faint. Tsunade’s eyes widened. This had to be the shortest Kage battle in the history of all the battles! Naruto was about to cancel out the jutsu when a poof of smoke came from the fainted Hinata’s body. The boys nearly went over, wolf-ears coming from every, single male in the stadium. Naruto and all of his clones were in shock when the smoke cleared somewhat, revealing a completely naked Hinata sitting up, her chest and lower region covered by the white smoke; her eyes sparkling sadly as whimpered,

”W…why did you do that, Naruto-Kun? That wasn’t very nice…”

Hinata’s friends couldn’t believe it; Hinata’s version of the Sexy-No-Jutsu made Hinata look completely pitiful, on the verge of tears…and nevermind the fact she was naked, save for the fading smoke. Every guy felt sorry for her. Hinata stood up, walking over to one of the Naruto’s winking.

”Naruto-Kun, why are you letting them beat me up?”

“I’ll protect you, Hinata!” the clone announced.

“No, I will!” another clone yelled.

Hinata transformed back, fully clothed and watched Naruto’s clones destroy one another. Tsunade couldn’t stifle her laughter any longer. It was such an insane tactic, but it worked. When the last clones were gone, Naruto saw Hinata charging at him, gentle fist more than ready to do it’s damage. While he’d never been on the receiving end of it, he knew that her Gentle Fist was anything but. It was an attack that did internal damage to the receiving end and he saw how back it was when Neji had done it to his wife. He skillfully dodged her attack, feeling no regret when he pulled out a hidden kunai and drove it into her hand. Hinata screamed in massive pain and the frantic Hikaru had to be calmed down by Sasuke, who kept trying to remind his godson that this sort of thing had to happen and that Hinata would be fine. Hinata jumped backwards, kunai still in her hand, but Naruto wasn’t giving her chance to pull it out as he continually continued to attack her. Hinata could barely block with just one hand and she knew that kunai going through her hand hurt more than anything right now. Hinata quickly dodged a flying kick attack, landing on her back. With her good hand, she stuck her finger into the ground, just as Naruto was charging at her. The entire ground turned to ice and it was almost comical how Naruto when skidding right past Hinata and into the wall. Hinata used her chakra to keep her balance on the ice, skidding to the other side. She hardly felt it, but the rest of the crowd acted as if they did, when she yanked the kunai out of her hand. The hole in her hand began healing almost instantly until it was no more. While Naruto recovered on the other side, Hinata narrowed her eyes. She put her hands to the ground, causing it to shake. Naruto had recovered just in time to see a large wave of ice rushing towards him. He went to side-step it, but it expanded with great force and rammed him against the arena wall, shattering and impaling his body with small ice shards. Naruto fell to the ground for a moment, but didn’t concede defeat. He panted heavily, standing up and he knew Hinata was taking this just as seriously as he was. Fine, he’d attack her weak spot and make it hurt. Naruto charged at her, using the same chakra he used to keep him steady on water, but it was a bit different with ice. He charged at Hinata, aiming right for her stomach. Hinata winced before he even hit her, and he smirked, taking her arm and throwing her clear over his shoulder. She went flying a few feet before her body skidded, breaking through the ice and right onto the hard, rocky ground, which slowed her down, but left a deep-cratered skid-mark in the ground. Hinata laid there for a moment, but more cheers rang out when Hinata stood up, panting heavily. A glare was on her beautiful face; Naruto had exploited the fact that if someone goes after her stomach, especially after that incident with her father when she was pregnant, she instantly put her hand or arm around it. Hinata activated her Byakugen once more and charged at Naruto. He skillfully blocked every attack, knowing he’d be screwed if that were to hit him. Making a quick jutsu, he formed his signature Rasengan and sent the ball of Kyuubi-charged chakra directly into her chest, sending her flying backwards. All of time seemed to stop as she floated through the air, but before she landed, it almost felt as if a switch had clicked in her mind somewhere. She landed so hard on the ground, the entire ground of ice and the rocky arena floor beneath it, shattered completely. With the ground desecrated and Hinata Hyuuga seemingly buried beneath it’s debris of rock and ice, Tsunade was ready to call this battle….

Until the ground began shaking violently, ten times worse than before. Naruto tried to figure out where it was all coming from, but was a little too late. The spectator watched in awe as frozen streams of chakra began arising from the ground. Neji instantly recognized the attack; The Protection of The Trigram; Two-Thousand palms! The blue chakra kept erupting from the ground, Hinata still nowhere to be seen or found. Once Naruto had been forced into the center of the chakra madness, the ground beneath him crumbled, and Hinata shot up out of the ground, her Gentle First activated. She plowed both of her hands, filled with Byakko-charged Byakugen, as hard as she could into Naruto’s stomach. He was propelled upwards, then violently whipped by the wild streams of chakra still whipping around from Hinata’s signature move. No matter where he landed, the beams of chakra were there, tearing into his body as fast as possible. With the ground completely covered in the deadly chakra streams that whipped as wildly as a tornado, the barely-conscious Naruto was trapped. When she’d hit him with not one, but times-two damage of the Gentle Fist, he could feel his inner damage it had done to his heart and everytime it pulsed, blood came from his mouth. Now, with his heart beating almost a million miles an hour, blood almost constantly flew from his mouth. When Hinata finally let him land, he landed so hard, the shockwaves could be felt outside of Konoha. There was nothing but a smoking crater in the ground as the streams of blue chakra ceased, leaving everything silent. However, Sasuke was the first to feel the drastic change in the air. Hinata was the second and Jiraiya, watching from atop of the stadium, could feel it as well. The ground began shaking once more and crumbled around Hinata. She jumped out of the way, landing a few feet away, just in time to see the spiral of red Kyuubi chakra spiral upwards from the ground. Naruto stood atop of the powerful chakra that took the form of Kyuubi. While it wasn’t the same thing, it was just as terrifying. Naruto stood, his arms crossed over his chest as he stood atop of the chakra-incarnated Kyuubi’s head. It was growling ferociously at Hinata. Hikaru was more than amazed to see the power his father had. Naruto was staring at Hinata, his eyes narrowed to deadly slits. Despite the fact Hinata was learning at a bad time what it meant to be ‘frozen with fear’, her rational mind reminded her she could use the power of her pendant to seal away any trace of Naruto’s Kyuubi chakra, but by the time she had made the choice to do so, Kyuubi was charging at her, going in for the kill.

(A/N: CLIFFIE! I know, I know. I suck. Lol. But, it’s anyone battle! Who wants to take a stab at who’s gonna win this one? Lemme here some guesses, lol!)
