A Future Of Smiles
(Seven Days Later…)
The celebration was large in Konohagakure that night. Once more, everyone was dressed in their best kimono and yukata and the town of Konoha had been transformed into one, large festival ground with games, food, activities and everything. Hikaru grinned happily as he rode on the shoulders of his father; the great Hokage of Konoha. Everyone waved at the family of three and talked excitedly about him. After all, wasn’t that the reason for the festival; to celebrate Konoha’s greatest family? Thanks to Hikaru and his wish, Kyuubi, Byakko and yes, Gobi, had all returned to what they originally were; Byakko had returned to being Yukigakure’s guardian and Kyuubi had returned to being Konohagakure’s guardian spirit, both sleeping below the surface of each city, both at peace with their respective cities. Any damage that had been done during the three great beasts’ awakening had been restored and Konoha was at peace once more. When asked what his wish was, Hikaru replied that he had wanted Gobi, Byakko and Kyuubi to all be happy.
Naruto and Hinata looked at one another.
“How does it feel not to be Kyuubi’s vessel anymore?”
”Odd. Very odd.”
”You still have the whiskers, though. K…kawaii…” Hinata smiled.
He grinned and saw Neji and TenTen coming towards them. Hinata could only bow with a grin on her face.
“Hello, Neji-Yukikage-Sama.”
Neji huffed with a small blush, but smiled nonetheless. TenTen giggled, holding their youngest son in her arms.
”He’s just still getting used to it. So am I for that matter. I never thought I’d be the husband of a Kage.”
“I still don’t see why you stepped down, Hinata.” Neji said.
Hinata shook her head with a smile.
“My true definition of happiness is being here with my son and my husband. Nothing more.”
“Everyone in Yukikage was sad to see you step down, but see you as a heroine of sorts.”
Hinata blushed at her cousin’s kind words. She knew, just like her mother had left Yukikage in the hands of Hizashi Hyuuga to be with the man she loved, it only seemed fair to leave Yukikage in the permanent care of his son, Neji Hyuuga, and of course, Neji’s family.
”I truly believe Yukigakure will be safe in your hands, Neji. You’ll make a very wonderful Yukikage.”
Neji blushed, scatching the back of his head. TenTen only smiled.
”So, we’re all meeting up at the memorial to watch the fireworks again. Want to join us?”
”That’d be lovely.” Hinata smiled.
Naruto sat Hikaru down on the ground and ran ahead, Sun-Ce following him. Sakura and Sasuke shortly joined the four parents. Sakura sent their own two off to play with the other children.
”It’s going to be wonderful having you back, Hinata-Chan.” Sakura smiled.
”It’s going to be wonderful to be back.”
”I bet usuratonkachi is thinking the same thing,” Sasuke chuckled.
”Shut up!” Naruto barked.
They arrived at the Hokage Monument, noticing the rest of their friends were already there. They had all supported Hinata on her decision to step down from being Yukikage; everyone knew that Hinata’s true happiness rested with her husband and her son. As the fireworks began shooting off, lighting up the dark Konoha skies, everyone cheered loudly and clapped. The only two, silent figures were Hinata and Naruto. As they watched the fireworks, Hinata took his hand and smiled.
“Just think…I get to watch the fireworks with you from now on, Naruto-Kun.”
He grinned and smiled.
”I can’t wait to bring Hikaru to the next fireworks show.”
”Don’t forget Aoi.”
“Aoi? Who’s she?”
Hinata blushed, resting her head against his shoulder.
”The…the name of our daughter…atleast…when she’s born…”
Naruto’s eyes widened. He simply smiled, saying nothing and holding her hand a little tighter before wrapping his arm around her. She smiled, looking up at the fireworks. If everyone had their definition of ‘happiness’, then there was a silent promise held between every, single person who worked hard to eventually have their wishes granted; to protect that happiness no matter what. Hinata smiled, leaning closer against Naruto, as she giggled at the excited children of herself and her friends. Hikaru ran over to his parents and stood by them, smiling happily. Hinata continued to watch the fireworks. As long as there were dreams of joy promised in the future, it was definitely one Hinata knew couldn’t wait to see.
The End

I can’t believe I finally completed it after so long, but this is definitely an accomplishment! Thanks to EVERYONE who read and reviewed and everything! I was thinking about posting a bonus chapter; one that sort of looked into the future when all of Hikaru’s friends are like teenagers and stuff and what became of everyone! Lemme know if you all wanna read it, lemme know, but, if not, I’ll see you all next story! Thanks again!!!!!! With love from the bottom of my heart,
