Chapter Seven
A few days passed and Sasuke was back at his small house, it now filled with Get Well cards. Most from the local girls. His adoring fan club bugged to help him until the Hokage ordered them not to pester him so much.
Missions were to start again within the next couple of days and Naruto was bouncing off the walls. Right now the blonde was walking around the Village with his arms behind his neck humming to himself.
“Naruto….” A voice spoke and Naruto paused, looking around.
“Hey if you’re looking for a fight you got it!” Naruto shouted and Sasuke stepped out from in between a few buildings.
“I was going to ask what you’re doing, but you blurted out in fear I guess.” Sasuke smirked and Naruto wasn’t sure if he should be irritated or leery. He chose both.
“What the hell are you doing lurking in the shadows and whispering at them!?” Naruto demanded. “Are you going bonkers or something?”
Sasuke glared and ignored him, walking away. With a sour look Naruto followed, walking by his side.
“Leave me be, I want to be alone.” Sasuke said.
“Well that’s not going to happen.” Naruto hmphed. “Besides you started it by stalking me.”
“I said leave me alone fuck face!” Sasuke snarled, his features twisted in great annoyance and anger.
Naruto stared with large eyes and Kakashi came up to them.
“Whoa Sasuke! You better cool down and watch your mouth.” The older man said and Sasuke looked at him.
“Why the fuck should I?” asked the Uchiha.
“Because at your age you shouldn’t be swearing.” Kakashi said. “Now you two stop bickering and Sasuke I wanted to ask you a few questions.” Naruto didn’t leave and the man squinted at him.
“What?” Naruto asked and the Jonin stared at him.
“Anyways Sasuke how have you been feeling? Any changes, any at all?” Kakashi asked.
“Not really, just tired and hungry a lot. That’s it.” Sasuke said and the Sensei nodded.
“Okay the Hokage told me he’s searching about the Jutsu and such.” Kakashi said.
“So why is the old man taking so long?” Naruto asked.
“Don’t be so disrespectful Naruto!” Kakashi warned and the blonde nodded.
“Sorry sensei.” Naruto mumbled.
“Has there been any information or sightings of…those people?” Sasuke asked.
“Well the remains of one was found, but she damndest thing is it was just a skeleton.” Kakashi said.
“The one Sakura got?” Naruto asked.
“Yes, but it doesn’t explain the condition of the corpse.” He said and they stood in silence.
Outside the village limits the last two dark ninjas sat on a tree branch. “When is he going to kill them?” The male Leal asked.
“He’s a stubborn one, at this pace I don’t think he’ll change for another 2-3 days.” She said.
“Kaia! Why is it taking so long!?” He demanded and she hissed at him, making him cower.
“Don’t be impatient! His chakra is stronger than I thought so it’ll take longer.” She said and watched the young Uchiha.
“What about the blonde boy? I sense some sort of connection between them.” Leal asked.
“It’s nothing, nothing at all.” Kiera said and her eyes glowed in the shadows.
