The Fox Hunt

"Anyway, so I need you to pick me up at 7:15." Naruto said to Kiba as they pulled up to his house. Kiba turned off the car and everyone got out. Naruto yanked on the doorknob eager to get his things and return home. He stood, pretty impatiently, tapping his foot. To him Kiba was taking an increasingly long time to get to the door. Naruto snapped his fingers and crossed his arms. Kiba saw his eagerness and purposely slowed himself down.

"Kiba! I wanna go home! Teme gave me my keys! I miss my apartment! And my bed! And... anything else I have there and not here!"

"Okay, okay, keep your pants on."

"Oh, I have no problem with that. Yooou on the other hand..."

Kiba glared at the blonde standing by his door. He then turned to the brunette holding his hand. "Haku, would you like to go out for coffee, around, nowish?"

"Kiiiiibaaaa!"

"Kiba, just let the poor guy in, he has a lot to plan for tonight, plus homework."

"Awww, you're no fun."

Kiba went to the door and unlocked it. The second it was open, the tan teenager was in bolting through the door. A second later he was back out, holding his stuff. "Thank you Kiba! See you later!"

Naruto slung his backpack over his shoulder and hopped onto his bike. He pedled away quickly to his apartment complex, eager to return home. He got to his front door where a basket was waiting for him.

'Naru-chan,

I'm baaaack. Can't wait to see you tonight. Your Jiriaya idea is amazing! (stories spread) It's a great way to teach that old pervert a message!

By the way, I know it's been a long time, but I think we should rekindle old feelings. You still willing to go out with me?

Naruto folded the note back up and stuck it in his pocket. He looked at the basket and opened it. Inside was several packages of various types of instant ramen, strawberries, an orange fox plushie, and a box of chocolate.

The teenager picked up the basket and carried it inside. He set it down on the table and took out the various iteams. He put the ramen in the cupboard, the strawberries in the fridge, the stuffed animal on the bed, and he opened the chocolate, popping a piece into his mouth.

"Mmmmmm, chocolate."

'He still knows you'

'It's been such a long time'

'So you gonna say yes?'

'I... don't know. What do you think?'

'Well, since you're not gonna go with Sasuke, then go with him, besides I always liked him more anyway'

'Okay, I think I will then'

'Good idea'

Naruto grabbed the black backpack out from underneath his bed. He moved around his apartment and grabbed some rope, a pulley, and several walkie-talkies. He shoved all of the iteams into his backpack and set the backpack by the front door. He went into his drawer and rumaged around until he found what he was looking for. He pulled out the black long sleeved shirt and black pants. He rummaged some more and retrieved his black beanie from the depths of another drawer.

He quickly changed into the other outfit, making sure the beanie covered all of his bright yellow hair. He also pulled out two ski masks, one for him and one for Kiba. He then pulled out some sunglasses. He put on the glasses and one of the ski masks then stepped in front of his mirror, making sure no tell tale details showed. He nodded happy with the disguise. He took off the sunglasses and put the ski mask back into his backpack. He looked at the clock, 5:30. Just enough time to finish his homework and eat.

Naruto looked at the clock again and started to pace. 7:16. "Where the fuck is he?!?" He called Kiba's phone again and recieved no answer. Then he called Haku's phone again, but it had the same result. The frustrated blonde threw his phone and watched as it landed on the bed. Then there was a knock at the door.

"Finally. What took you guys so long?"

"Naruto, we're only two minutes late."

"Why didn't you anwser your phones?"

"You told us not to bring them, remember?"

"Oh right." Naruto reached up and scratched the back of his head. Then he opened his backpack, pulled out one of the ski masks, and handed it to Kiba.

Kiba looked at him disapprovingly. "What's this for?"

"Your face."

"I'm aware of that but why?"

"Big, red, upside down, triangles."

"Right."

They all walked back to where Kiba had parked his truck. Naruto got in the back while Kiba and Haku were up front. Naruto sat but didn't put on the seatbelt. "Okay dog-breath, you also need to get Shika and teme."

"Since when am I your driver?"

"I don't have a car."

"Whatever. You owe me. Maybe I'll get you to wear that maid outfit for Halloween..."

"Kiba!"

Haku started to laugh as Naruto pouted in the back seat. Kiba drove off towards Shikamaru's house. When they arrived there, Naruto bolted from the car, knocked on the door, and then bolted back half dragging Shikamaru.

"Two down, one to go."

Kiba continued to drive until they reached the Uchiha mansion. Again Naruto bolted from the car. This time he opened Sasuke's door, found him, and pulled him to Kiba's truck. They both got in and Kiba started to drive once more. Haku turned on the radio.

'Apple Bottom Jeans [Jeans]
Boots with the fur [With the fur]
The whole club was lookin' at her
She hit the flo [She hit the flo]
Next thing you know
Shawty got low low low low low low low low'

Naruto started to dance moving lower and lower almost falling onto the floor of Kiba's truck.

Them baggy sweat pants
And the Reeboks with the straps [With the straps]
She turned around and gave that big booty a smack [Ayy]
She hit the flo [She hit the flo]
Next thing you know
Shawty got low low low low low low low low

Again Naruto moved downward, this time actually falling onto the floor of Kiba's truck. He attempted to get back up, and found he was stuck. His back was up against the front seat and his legs were spralled over where he was just sitting. He looked up at Shikamaru and frowned when he saw that his eyes were closed. He then looked over at Sasuke and frowned more when he saw the prick was staring out the window. He looked up at the roof of his friend's truck, waiting for it to stop and for the other people to open their doors.

To Naruto tht was the longest five minutes ever. When Kiba pulled up at the school Sasuke was the first to get out. Naruto flipped onto his side the shimmied out between the seats. He got out and stood, stretching. Then he reached back in and grabbed his backpack. He put it on and they all moved to the outside courtyard where two shadowy figures were standing. Naruto panicked wondering who it was Suigetsu was talking to. The got nearer and Naruto still couldn't figure out who it was. Suigetsu turned and saw the advancing crowd. The moonlight was eluminating their faces, and Suigetsu immediatly recognized the big blue eyes.

"Naru-chan!" Suigetsu said a little too loud.

"Shhh!"

He laughed nervously. "Right, sorry."

Sasuke eyed the blue haired boy suspiciously. He turned to Haku. "Who is that?"

"You don't recognize him?"

"Call me crazy."

"It's Suigetsu."

Sasuke almost fainted. 'No, it can't be. He'll pull Naruto right out from under me. He was the first guy Naruto had a crush on.'

He looked up in time to see Naruto and Suigetsu break from their hug and for Suigetsu to kiss Naruto.

Just then Gaara stepped out from the shadows. "Okay, let's get moving. There is a certain brunette waiting for me."

Shikamaru rolled his eyes."Do you have the supplies?"

"I have the pulley, rope, and walkie talkies."

"I have the lock pick."

"I have flashlights."

"I brought the duct tape."

Everyone turned to look at Gaara. "What, it might come in handy."

"Can we just get going?" This time everyone turned to look at Sasuke. "I want to get this over with."

"Okay, let's pair up. One group will have three, Kiba and Haku, Gaara and Shika. Suigetsu, Sasuke and I will be the group of three."

"Kiba and Haku, you guys are on watch. Gaara and Shika, you guys are in charge of attaching things to the pulley. Our group will be on the roof."

Naruto handed out the walkie talkies to each group. The three groups went seperate ways. Naruto's group to get onto the roof via the fire escape, Shika's group the go pick the lock, and Kiba's group to go circle the school.

It had been half an hour and all they had in the roof was a chair. One stinking chair. Sasuke looked out over the edge. He started pulling the rope, bringing up another chair. He brought the chair to the top and set it on the roof. Then he sent back the platform to Gaara. The raven haired teen looked over to see Suigetsu and Naruto talking, still. "You guys need to get with the program, we have a lot to do and a hort amount of time to do it. Now help me with this table. " Naruto stood up and walked over, helping Sasuke pull up the table.

The rest of the getting the furniture onto the roof process went like this: Sasuke pulled up something light. Then there was something heavy that needed to ome up. Sasuke would tell Suigetsu and Naruto needed to help and then one of them got up and helped only to sit back down once more. It happened like that for two hours.

Finally they had everything on the roof. "Naruto, Suigetsu, this time I need both of you. We're bringing up Shika and Gaara. "

Naruto and Suigetsu got up slowly and walked over to Sasuke. Then all three of them grabbed onto the rope and pulled up the other two teens. When Gaara and Shikamaru were finally on the roof, they started to arange the furniture. They argued multiple times about what should go where but eventually someone would give in. They set the desks and chairs across they roof then put Jiriaya's things back on his desk or in his drawers. When they were done, it looked like an exact replica of Jiriaya's class. On the roof of the school.

"Kiba?"

No anwser.

"Haku?"

Still no anwser.

"Kiba?"

"Haku?"

"Where they hell are they?"

Just then they heard thump and the sound of running feet. They looked up and saw Kiba running towards them. Kiba pinted towards the car and they all ran to it, everyone jumping into the bed of the truck. Kiba gave a thumbs up sign and the truck started.

Gaara turned to Kiba. "What was that all about?"

"Someone was coming."

"Who?"

Kiba looked worried. "We don't know, all I know is that someone was coming, I saw a light on the road, that was getting closer."

Haku pulled up to Naruto's apartment. "Goodnight guys. Thanks for all the help. Be sure to bring a camera tomorrow!"

Naruto unlocked his door and went inside his apartment. He picked up his phone from were it had landed on the bed and moved it to the charger. He tossed his backpack and it landed on a chair with a thump. He then walked over to said backpack and pulled out all the stuff they had used, not wanting to be caught with it later.

He walked over to his bed and got in, not bothering to change. He slowly fell asleep, thinking about Jiriaya's reaction to his classroom situation. Right before he drifted into REM sleep, a picture of Suigetsu, flashed before his eyes, closely followed by an image of Sasuke, who didn't look very happy, one might go as far as to say jealous even.
