Heart of a Fox

A/N: the chapters from here on out have yet to be betaed so please excuse any mistakes. Also I'll be posting rather inconsistently my computer is slowly shitting the bed. Sorry

Ch. 7

It took Naruto about ten minutes to walk from the tower to the hospital. When he got there he immediately walked up to Hinata's floor and asked the nurse on duty if Hinata had gotten up.

"Yes, she has."

"Thanks"

Naruto walked down the hall to her door and knocked.

"Come in." Even though her voice hadn't changed and she spoke in her normal tone, something about the sound of her voice made him smirk and he knew he loved her.

As he walked into the room he watched as Hinata looked up from a scroll and her face light up, "Hey Hinata, how you feeling?"

"Good, I feel fine and Dr. Uchiha says there are no traces of the poison, or even the drugs they used. The only proof of me being injured is a scar from the kuni wound were I got stabbed."

"Yeah about that, do you remember me telling you that I.. I.."

"That you loved me?"

"Well of course that, and I do. No, I'm talking about the other thing that I needed to talk to you about."

"Yes, so what is it?"

"Well here goes, have you ever heard the story of how the Fourth saved the village from the fox demon."

"All I know is that the Fourth Hokage fought and died in the battle destroying the demon before he finally fell himself."

"Well that's not the whole story. You see in the battle against the fox demon the Fourth used a very powerful jutsu to seal the demon within a child. It was the only way he could see to end the conflict and save the village. It was also the only way he could think to protect his new born son after he and his lover were gone. You see they were due to be married shortly after the birth of their child."

"ohh.. that's so sad. But, Naruto... how do you know all this and what does this have to do with you or us?"

"I was getting there... you see the thing is, I was that child...my father is and was Minaoto Namazaki the Fourth Hokage, and I have Kyubi the fox demon sealed inside my body. He is why I have a seemingly endless amount of chakra and I heal amazingly fast. The second part is also the reason why the villagers treat me the way they do. And if we are to have any form of relationship then you need to know who and what I am."

The look on Hinata's face was that of surprise and awe. She didn't know what to say. Here was the man she loved, who last night told her that he loved her, and now he was telling her a story that was either completely true or a disgusting bald face lie. Now she had to decide weather or not to believe him, there were stories of him getting torn to shreds in a fight only to be in perfect condition.the next day, and their were whispers among the high level ninja that he looked amazingly like the Fourth. But his story was so unreal it was hard to believe. She decided to ask her father about the battle later. She could also see the solem look on his face. Something told her that he was telling the truth or at least the truth as he was told.

"Naruto, I love you. Your determination, your drive, your honesty, and your commitment to all that you say and do. That is the Naruto I've always loved. If your telling me that this demon, in some way, helped you become this person then I guess I could be ok with it, but if he ever tries to take you from me in any way then we will have problems."

(I told you I liked her, Kit) Naruto chuckled.

"What's so funny?" Hinata asked.

"Nothing. It's just Kyubi admitted he likes your attitude." Hearing this made her blush.

"So what's with the swords and coat? I've never seen them before," she mentioned, trying to change the subject.

"The swords were my father's, Kaji and Koori. The coat my mother made for my father but he never got to wear it. I'm sorry about dropping all this on you at once, but I kinda got it the same way from Lady Tsunade last night"

Hinata opened her mouth to say something when there was a knock on the door. "Come in"

The door opened to Hinata's Father.
