A Rivial

"We have to find out where they are going to for their date.. then.. you can give me some of those er pick up lines an I can use them on Gaara if you can get Riku to go away from him?" Lee said while sitting on a bench running a hand through his hair.

"Hey why did you stop calling him Gaara-kun? And sure!" Naruto sat down next to Lee and pulled out a paper and a pen and started writing down pick up lines, when he was done he put it in Lee's hand then formed a sign making a clone. The clone ran off to find where Riku and Gaara were.

Lee rubbed the back of his neck. "Well.. I think he did not like me calling him Gaara-kun.. he did not seem like it.. but.. I guess I should start again huh?" Lee stated and looked to the floor then stood up when the clone was already running back.

The clone quickly told Lee where Gaara was and then poofed Naruto getting the info. "Ok I'll go piss off Riku you talk to Gaara ok?" Naruto said and grinned up at his friend giving a thumbs up.

"Yosh! Sounds like a plan!" He yelled running off with Naruto. When they got to the restaurant Lee slunk inside and got a booth for both of them. He sat down and closed his eyes sighing as he waited for Naruto to distract Riku from Gaara.

Naruto waited for Riku to pull out his smokes then ran over and hugged the Kazekage tightly knowing it would piss off Riku. "Naruto? Heh what are you doing?" Gaara asked and smiled hugging his friend back. The blond then grabbed Riku's smokes and bolted. "THESE ARE BAD FOR YOOOOU!" He yelled and ran out of the restaurant confusing everyone.

Riku's eyes widened then turned to slits, in public he would be nice, but no one took his cigarettes. He got up and gently grabbed Gaara's arm and leaned in to give him a light kiss, when Gaara pulled back before he could he sighed and said, "I will be right back.." Then bolted after Naruto. "Get back here Blondie!!" Once Riku was out of the door Lee got up and moved over sitting across from Gaara. "Uhh.. Hi Gaara-kun.." He said with an awkward goofy smile.

Gaara looked extremely confused and his gaze moved to Lee. "What was all that about?" He asked and folded his arms over his chest. "..Hello.." He said staring at him his face expressionless.

Lee's heart sank. 'Do not look at me like that... please be happy..' Lee begged in his thoughts then coughed. "I do not know...soo... Umm.." He pulled out a paper and glanced down at it. "Someone better call god because he is missing an angel..?" He squeaked out his eyes growing small realizing how cheesy that sounded.

Gaara blinked in surprise then tilted his head. "Eh? What are you talking about?" He asked confused and reached out taking a sip of his tea.

"Oh umm.. what I meant is.." His eyes trailed own to the paper. "I must be lost I thought paradise was further south.." 'God Naruto really! These are so cheesy!!' He thought to himself wanting to hit himself in the head for doing this.

"Lee...are you ok?" Gaara asked and hesitantly reached over and placed his hand on the older males forehead.

Lee's face heated up from the contact. 'Gaara is touching me! Gaara-kun is actually not hurting while touching me! I do still have a chance!' He yelled happily in his head. "Umm.. yeah I am fine.." He said to Gaara gently pulling away then looked at his paper. 'Perfect..' He thought and reached out placing both his hands on Gaara's shoulders. "Oh shoulder blades, I thought I felt the wings of an angel.." He stated under his breath.

Gaara blinked then his face heated up and he leaned back and pulled out his wallet to pay for the tea then stood. "Um could we leave here? I can barely hear you its so loud." Gaara said wincing when people started cheering and laughing loudly from a table next to their booth.

Lee nodded and smiled starting to walk out of the restaurant with Gaara slipping the paper into his pocket. "So.. Gaara-kun, what have you been up to in the Sand village?" He asked smiling wider, happy that the young Kazekage was actually spending time with him. Meanwhile Riku was running away from Gaara back into the restaurant. When he saw Gaara wasn't there he glared at Naruto. "Blondie.. I'm going to kill you!" He yelled chasing him back.

Naruto yelped and ran laughing as he started to jump from roof to roof. "Hurry up! I thought you were once a anbu! Faaail!" He yelled and speed up. 'Good luck bushy-brows.' He thought grinning. Gaara glanced at Lee then back down at the ground. "Its fine...we had a few water issues a few months ago...we lost a few ninja." Gaara said in monotone.

"Naruto I will end your life get back here!" Riku speed up and tripped a few times on the roof trying to catch up to him. "That is not very youthful... I wish I could have helped.." then Lee was stuck on what to say again.. He thought of one of the sweet lines on the paper and remembered them off of memory. "I put a drop of tear in the ocean last night for you. And I won't stop loving you until you find that tear drop."

Gaara stopped walking and turned to look up at the leaf ninja. "Lee...why did you say that?" He asked his heart beating faster. 'Is he messing with me? Why did he say that??' He thought staring at waiting for a answer.

"I'm sorry I do not know I was just.. I.." Lee trailed off not sure how to explain. But it didn't matter Riku noticed them and stopped chasing Naruto jumping down between them. "Mon amour... why did you leave the restaurant..?" He asked trying to be sweet to Gaara but he shot a glare to Lee over his shoulder. 'Oh no.. he is ruining it.. I.. I almost had him..' Lee said to himself sadly in his mind.

Gaara folded his arms and frowned up at his body guard. "It was too loud and Lee wanted to have a word with me." The leader said and closed his eyes in thought. Naruto jumped down and panted setting his hands on his knees and glared at Riku. 'Damn it! I failed!' He thought pouting.

Riku leaned in and tried to steal a kiss from Gaara but to no avail again. He sighed and wrapped his arm around Gaara pulling him in close. "Well then we can go to the hotel... Your word with Lee is over right?" Riku asked. However Lee interrupted, "Yeah.. we are done talking.. good bye Gaara-kun talk to you later?" He asked and went to hug the redhead again. 'Please do not freak this time!' Lee's mind screamed.

Gaara looked up at Lee and flinched but didn't pull back still confused from what he had said to him earlier. Naruto smiled and stuck his tongue out at Riku knowing it annoyed him and laughed. 'Ok I need to think up a better plan...hmmm think think think..' He thought and ran a hand though his hair.

Lee happily hugged Gaara then let go when Riku let out a feral like growl. "Good bye Lee..." Riku snarled out through gritted teeth as he pulled Gaara even closer and lead him away without even letting him say good bye.
