Hello everyone! I apolgize for the long wait between updates! I started new training at work, so new schedule, and lots of stuff going on this summer...but that's no excuse, and I apologize again! I will try to do better from now on, now that I am back in the writing groove...hopefully you all don't hate me too badly! Anyways, as always, I am the only one who has read this, so hopefully it is good enough to post. If anyone is interested in being my beta and all that good stuff, let me know in your review or email me!

Chapter 8 - Lilies are their favorite...

After testing the doorknob to the boiler room, Naruto paused to glance up and down the halls before quickly opening the door and entering the room. Immediately he noticed the increase in heat. He glanced around the room, looking for Sasuke. Not seeing the black-haired boy, Naruto walked further into the room, down a path made between a large boiler and a wall of pipes. At the end, it opened up into a little room, used for storage.


~No Sasuke...where in the hell is he?~ Naruto jumped as he felt hands slide around his waist, warmth from another body pressing against his back. He turned around in the embrace, face-to-face with his boyfriend. A lazy smile grew on his face.


“Hi,” Sasuke whispered, leaning forward to gently kiss Naruto. His tongue slid out, running along Naruto’s lower lip. The blond opened his mouth, their tongues sliding together as they deepened the kiss. Sasuke ran his fingers through soft blond hair, pulling lightly as Naruto moved his mouth to the pale neck, laying down a trail of kisses. Naruto inhaled, smelling soap and Sasuke, a scent that he was unable to compare to anything else he had ever smelled. He lifted his head to kiss Sasuke again, bringing his hand up to grab one of Sasuke’s, entwining their fingers. He gently pulled Sasuke’s hand down to gently kiss his fingers, causing Sasuke to shiver slightly at the light touch.


Naruto looked up at him, lips still pressed to the back of the pale hand.


“Hi right back.”


“Glad you could make it.” Sasuke leaned forward and captured the blond’s lips again. “No one saw you?”


“No, I lost any tails I might’ve had on me,” Naruto smiled at Sasuke, an evil glint in his eye.


“What’s with the look?”


“Nothing really…just wondering if this room is loud enough to cover your screams…”


“What are you talking about, dobe?” He stepped back against the wall as Naruto pushed against him, his hand running down Sasuke’s chest, pausing to undo the button of his pants. “What are you---” he gasped as Naruto’s hand reached his groin, fingers ghosting along the length that was quickly growing.


Sasuke leaned his head into Naruto’s shoulder as the tanned hand began to slide up and down, causing him to breathe shallowly. He moved his hand to touch the front of Naruto’s pants, but before he could reach, Naruto slowly slid down to rest on his knees, hand still pumping as he looked up into Sasuke’s eyes.


“You will scream for me,” he stated, eyes sparkling with giddiness.

They jumped when the bell rang, announcing the end of lunch.


“Damn…” Sasuke puffed out a breath, his bangs swaying. He looked at Naruto. “What about you? I didn’t get to make you scream.”


Naruto laughed as he grabbed Sasuke’s pants and re-buttoned them. “What, are you pouting?” He pulled Sasuke close and kissed him a final time before walking down the path to the door as Sasuke followed him. Naruto stopped at the door and turned around.


“We’ve got forever.” A smile graced the pale face as the blond left the room.

Naruto sat at his desk and grinned widely as he watched Sasuke enter the room, looking slightly ruffled. Dark eyes scanned the room until they met blue, and then he made his way to his desk next to Naruto. He glanced at his boyfriend and blushed, looking down at his book, pretending to read, the faintest of smiles on his lips.


“Hey, boys.”


They both looked up as Sakura slid into the desk in front of Naruto, turning in her seat to look at them.


“Where did you guys disappear to? I went to find you before class and you had left your table already!” She looked at the grin on Naruto’s face. “What have you been up to? I know that look, you were up to something, Uzumaki!”


“We went to the library to compare our homework before class.” Sasuke didn’t move his gaze from his textbook as he spoke to the pink-haired girl.


Sakura sat quietly for a minute, noting the light pink color to Sasuke’s otherwise pale cheeks, and Naruto’s ear-to-ear grin.


“Well, I thought I looked all over the library.” Black eyes focused on a single word on the page as Naruto found the tree outside the window to be the most fascinating thing he’d ever laid eyes on. “Well, I guess I didn’t look hard enough, now did I?”


Naruto looked back at her, smiling again. “I guess not.”


They straightened and looked forward as their teacher entered the room and began class.

Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura picked up their bags and headed out the front door of the school, ready to head home and rest.


“Dobe, I’ve got to go to a leadership meeting. Can I come over later and work on the homework with you?”


“Sure, just come over whenever you get done. I’ll be home all afternoon.” He smiled and waved as Sasuke left, then turned to continue walking with Sakura.


“What was that about?” She questioned as they walked. It had become custom for Naruto to walk his friend home on nights she didn’t have dance practice.


“What was what about?”


“You and Sasuke. You guys are acting weird today.”


“Well, isn’t everyone allowed to be weird every once in awhile?”


“I guess so…anyways, mind if I come over and hang out for a bit? Since we didn’t get to hang out the weekend.” She smiled widely. “I didn’t get to tell you all about my date!”


She pulled the flowers she was carrying to her nose, inhaling their sweet fragrance. “I love calla lilies! How did he know they were my favorite, I wonder…” She trailed off, sniffing them again.


“I told him.” She looked at him, surprised. “He asked me about it awhile back. I guess he’s known he would win you over eventually and wanted to be ready to make you happy!” He laughed, grabbing her and spinning, waltzing her down the sidewalk. She laughed with him, enjoying the silliness that they shared in their excitement new love had brought.

After their midday dancing in the streets, Naruto and Sakura decided that they needed a breather, so they went to Naruto’s apartment to grab something to drink. Naruto let them in and went to the fridge, digging out two bottled waters, handing one to Sakura. He opened his and drank half of it in one go, stopping when he looked out of the corner of his eye to see Sakura staring at him.


“Naruto, you are so weird.” She walked out to the living room and plopped onto the couch. “What do you want to do now?”


He sat down at the end of the couch, laying his legs out. Sakura moved to sit at the other end and stretched her legs out as well, propping her feet on his chest.


“I don’t know. Want to watch a movie?”


“Sure.” She jumped up and stood in front of his movies, scanning until she picked one out and put it in, jumping back onto the couch and her previous position. Naruto handed her a pillow and put one under his own head.


They were both asleep before they got past the opening credits.

Naruto stirred when he heard someone knocking on his door. He cracked an eye open and looked at the television. The end credits were rolling. He looked down the couch at Sakura, who was still sleeping; her feet snug between his side and the couch cushions. He gently got up, placing his warm pillow on her feet, and made his way to the front door.


He looked through the eyehole, seeing Sasuke’s magnified face outside, grinning stupidly. He held back a laugh as he opened the door.

“Be quiet, Sakura is still sleep---” Naruto stopped as a bouquet of flowers swung into view from behind Sasuke’s back.


“For my special person,” he said quietly, leaning forward to kiss Naruto’s cheek as the boy blinked, still sleepy from his nap.


“What?”


“These are for you. These are your favorite, right?” He gestured toward the flowers he held, a mixture of different lilies, oranges and pinks peeking out amongst the white flowers.


“They’re…beautiful.” Naruto said quietly, smiling at Sasuke. “Thank you. What’s the occasion?”


“You are.”


Naruto blushed. “I should put these in some water.” He walked to the kitchen, Sasuke in his wake, each pausing in the living room to look at the pink-haired girl asleep on the couch. Once in the kitchen, Naruto opened a cupboard to look for a vase. Spotting the one he wanted, he motioned for Sasuke to join him.


“Here, fill this with water while I cut the ends off these,” he whispered.


Together they did their tasks, resulting in a beautiful bouquet of flowers on the table. Naruto leaned over and smelled them, smiling as a hand brushed the hair off of his neck and placed a gentle kiss there.


Naruto turned to face Sasuke, his brain spinning, stumbling to find the words he wanted to say, as Sasuke reached up and brushed the hair from his forehead.


“I know,” he whispered, kissing Naruto, holding him close, gently but firmly. They stood in the kitchen, holding each other, softly kissing, for what seemed like forever.


“It’s about time you guys got together…took you long enough.”
