Recouping Her Losses
AN: Whew! We made it through the last chapter okay I think, though I haven't read any reviews on it yet. I hope it didn't upset you and scare you all away. This chapter will hopefully start guiding us back towards the sexier, more playful tone the story once had, but still maintain some of Sakura's new attitude. Stay with me and we'll make it through this story together. If you have some interesting ideas for pairings, let me know. :)
Recouping Her Losses
Sakura stood at Kiba’s door pounding on it for a good two minutes, before an irritated voice came from the other side. “Yeah, yeah, keep your fucking pants on. I’m coming!”
Kiba flung his door open, his face set in and annoyed scowl, which immediately melted into wary concern. “Sakura, what are you doing here?” he asked softly. “I mean are you okay? I heard about what happened the other day…I just got into town an hour ago….” He gripped the towel around his waist nervously and fidgeted under her quiet stare.
“Been better,” she said with a shrug. A curious numbness had settled over her during the last few days that she just couldn’t quite shake. She hoped that the ever lively dog ninja would be able to help her shake it off. “You?”
He reached out and tugged her inside. “Look I wanted to warn you about it, but I left on a mission that afternoon and you know….”
“Yeah tradition and orders and all of that crap,” she growled slamming the door behind her.
“It wasn’t me,” he said, unsure if that’s why she was here. He didn’t know if she knew who the shinobi was. “I really was out on a mission, not hiding out here.”
“I know. From what I’ve heard neither of the men are even in the city right now. Tsunade effectively removed them from my grasp for a bit, just in case I learned their names,” Sakura said circling him slowly.
Kiba wasn’t sure what to do. Sakura was normally rather bouncy and sweet. This Sakura was cold, quiet, and probably more than a little pissed off. She came to a stop in front of him. “Sakura…” he began.
“Shut up,” she growled softly. She reached out and tangled her fingers in the back of his wet hair, holding his head firmly in place as she assaulted his mouth with her own. Ignoring his started grunt, she pressed on, yanking his towel away and pressing her body up against his insistently. He tried to speak again, but she simply snarled, “I need this, so shut it.”
Kiba studied her for a moment and then nodded, tugging her towards his room. She shook her head and pushed him until he was sitting in the deep, worn chair in front of his television. Normally he liked to dominate any sexual encounter he had, but on occasion it was a little exciting to let go and let the other person take control; like he’d done with Kakashi. This time he wasn’t sure if it was a good idea to let her be in control or to even be doing anything at all, but she said she needed it and he wasn’t going to argue with a woman who tended to have no less than a dozen kunai on her person at any given time of the day and could put a whole through a wall with her pinkie.
Sakura wasn’t sure what she was doing, but it felt oddly good to look down at him and know he was willing to give her whatever she wanted. Very likely, this was mostly a pity fuck, but she wasn’t going to refuse what he offered…or was allowing, however you wanted to look at it. She tore at her own clothing, launching herself into his lap the moment the last piece of cloth fell.
She kissed him hard and he gave back just as hungrily, admitting that an aggressive Sakura was definitely a turn on, even with the small note of desperation in her movements. “I need you,” she gasped. “Please, please, I need this.”
“Take whatever you need Sakura,” he said against her mouth.
Sakura didn’t bother to check if she was ready enough; she rose up slightly and after a fumbling moment started pressing down onto his body, thankful she’d had herself healed the morning after her ‘encounter’. “Don’t rush, don’t hurt yourself. I’m not going anywhere,” he gasped, grabbing her hips in a tight grip.
She ignored him and pushed down, both groaning as he filled her slowly. “I’m fine, let go,” she sighed. He studied her for a moment and then relaxed his grip a bit, keeping his hands on her hips, but allowing her to control her own movement freely.
Humming softly to herself, she began to move on him, her hands resting on his shoulders for stability and her knees gripping his hips tightly. It took her body a moment to adjust to his invasion, but soon she was gliding over him smoothly, wet sounds and groans filling the room.
It didn’t take her long at all. She wasn’t sure if it was the pent up stress of the day or simply the excitement of riding one of the most beautiful men in town. Whatever it was she was hurtling over to precipice of pleasure moments later, digging her nails into Kiba’s shoulders and screaming out her pleasure for all to hear.
When she relaxed a few moments later and looked down at her lover, she found him studying her carefully. “What?” she asked softly.
“You really are a goddess,” he said with a small smile. He gripped her hips and ground up into her gently, knowing she’d be a bit sensitive for a moment. It wasn’t really a surprise that he hadn’t come yet. Kiba’s control was just one of his many legendary attributes. “Sakura?” he asked after a moment.
“Hmm?” she sighed, eyes drifting closed.
“How did he take you?” he asked after another long minute.
Her eyes opened and she studied him silently, her face hardening slightly. Finally she sighed and looked down at where they were joined. “I was lying in my bed on my stomach when they came in, so the man just held my arms and took me from behind,” she admitted softly.
Kiba nodded and gently pulled her off of his body. Standing, he gently forced her to her knees over the chair. “Arms behind your back,” he demanded softly. He could feel her quivering, but she did as he asked, albeit very slowly and with a soft whimper. “Good,” he praised her.
He knelt behind her and gently grasped her wrists in one hand and gripped her right hip with the other. Watching her body language carefully, he slid back into her body. “Now we’re going to take this nice and easy for a bit,” he sighed into her ear. “Relax and enjoy it.” He waited for her brief nod before setting a slow thrusting pace, teasing her body with his own. He had hopes that maybe a positive experience like this would help to diminish the bad, even if only a bit.
At first Sakura wasn’t sure if she cared for this position. Short flashes of another man’s breath and stabs of pain flickered through her mind, mingling with Kiba’s soft gasps and the full stroke of his length inside her. It was confusing and alarming to feel both fear and pleasure at the same time, but true to his reputation soon there was only pleasure.
Kiba had the wonderful ability to make you forget everything, for at least a brief moment, with his voice and body. His rough voice coaxed her along, encouraging her to feel everything and to ask anything, to cry out in pleasure when she needed to. With Kiba there was no need for inhibition and shyness. He wouldn’t accept either. He didn’t hold back and demanded that his partner do the same. And when he started whispering, “Come for me Sakura, say my name, let go,” she did. It was a wonderful, liberating feeling to throw her head back, crying out in pleasure, feeling him pulsing gently against her womb as he groaned his own release.
She sighed softly as he released her arms and sat back on his heals behind her. “Thank you Kiba,” she sighed into the worn fabric of his chair.
“Feel better?” he asked tugging her backward into his lap.
“A little,” she admitted. “I’m still hurt and mad, but I can do this. I can make it through this. I may not like her much at the moment, but I plan to make Tsunade proud of me.”
“If you must,” he sighed. “Don’t do it if it’s not for you though.” He tugged her to her feet and kissed her on the forehead. “ANBU isn’t for everyone; there’s no shame in deciding it’s not for you Sakura.”
“I know, but I don’t want to quit. There are going to be a lot of things I don’t like about the job, but I know I can do it. I know that my village needs me to do it,” she said softly. “Doesn’t mean that a certain someone isn’t going to get the beating of his life when he returns though,” she said with grim humor in her voice.
He nodded and sighed. “I’m sure he knows it’s coming. I think he be disappointed in you if you didn’t retaliate in some way.”
***
Sakura frowned as she sailed through the air and missed a large tree, by sheer luck more than anything else. She landed on her feet at a skid and glared at Sasuke through her sweat-soaked hair. They hadn’t been kidding when they said they’d help her train. They’d been beating the living daylights out of her for a month now, and she’d improved, almost to the point where they couldn’t catch her anymore.
Of course they also learned that catching her could be highly dangerous, as her punch was enough to send them through a tree and force her to stop to heal them. They were fortunate to have their own private healer, but it still hurt all the same. Even Naruto, with his freaky healing abilities, was wary about getting too close now.
“You’re getting slow,” Sasuke sighed disdainfully, straightening his rumpled and dirty shirt with a tug. “Go home for today.”
“No,” she growled, cracking her knuckles and slinking into an aggressive fighting stance. “I can keep going. I’m not tired.”
“You’re shaking and I wasn’t even trying to land that kick, yet I did. You’re going to get hurt more than is necessary. Go home Sakura,” Sasuke growled. “Sloppy work won’t do you any good.”
“I don’t care if I get hurt. I can heal myself anyway,” she said crouching in preparation to attack. “I need to train more.”
“Sakura, I’m tired, Naruto is tired,” Sasuke finally sighed. “Let’s call it a night and go get something to eat. You’re losing weight too fast,” he said, flicking his eyes over her bruised and scratched form. “You need to eat and get a little sleep or you won’t be of much use to anyone.”
Sakura sighed and straightened, hating to admit that he might be right, knowing he really was. “Yeah fine. I guess I’m hungry anyway,” she admitted grudgingly.
Naruto was lounging a few feet away and spoke up, “When did you eat last Sakura?” he asked. “I know we’re working you hard, but you do look a little on the skinny side.”
“Oh shut up you two. I’m fine. I’m just working hard, dividing all of my time between here and the hospital. I eat whenever I can. I haven’t lost that much,” she growled, knowing it was a lie, but feeling defensive, nonetheless. They weren’t the only ones that had noticed and she was getting tired of explaining herself to everyone, of thinking of excuses.
“Yeah well you’re starting to lose your boobs,” Naruto snorted, trying to lighten the mood a bit. He yelped and barely dodged the rock she hurled at his head, then grinned at her unrepentantly.
“It’s not like I had much to begin with anyway,” she grunted, tugging her gloves off and stuffing them in her pocket. That was a serious drawback of being a kunoichi, that loss of ones breasts. Though, Ino, Kurenai, Anko and Tsunade didn’t seem to have that problem.
“I’m just teasing you Sakura. You have great boobs,” Naruto said cheerfully, grinning wider at the glare he received from his pink haired friend. “Not as nice as Hinata’s maybe, but still good.” Ah yes, she’d forgotten Hinata. She hid a lot under that bulky coat after all.
“Thanks so much,” she drawled. “Any input from you?” she asked Sasuke with a glare.
“You know where I live, and I live alone, so no,” Sasuke said with a small chuckle.
“Doesn’t matter if they’re small or huge anyway,” she complained softly. “With Kiba out of town I’m getting nothing.”
“Again, you know where I live, and I live alone,” Sasuke grumbled softly. Sakura laughed a little at that and shook her head in exasperation. He’d been throwing out subtle hints ever since that night he’d first brought it up. She’d been tempted, but she wasn’t sure how she felt about sleeping with two of her teammates. The first one, Kakashi was a bit late to worry over, but she still wasn’t sure if she wanted to add Sasuke to her growing list of lovers, short as it was.
“Where is dog boy?” Naruto asked, breaking into her thoughts. He stood up and threw his pack over his shoulder, watching her curiously.
Sakura and Sasuke both gathered their bags up as well and the three started towards town. “He’s out with Kakashi and Shikamaru right now. They’re escorting some high level official home and then meeting up with Shino to help him wrap up his mission,” she said with a shrug. “It sounds like an easy mission, but it was expected to take a few weeks.”
“Is it getting serious with him then?” Naruto asked after a long, silent stretch of the road.
“Kiba?” she asked in surprise. “Nah. He’s a fun diversion, but I’m not stupid enough to think he’s ready to settle down. We just fool around a bit when he’s in town.”
“Then why are you waiting around for him to get home?” Sasuke asked, echoing his blond friend’s thoughts. “Isn’t there anyone else you’re interested in? If it’s not serious, you shouldn’t have to wait around for him to return to find someone to fool around with.”
Sakura bit her lip thoughtfully. She supposed that it did look a little bit like she was serious about Kiba, what with her unconscious faithfulness to his bed. Wasn’t she supposed to be exploring with several different men right now? Tsunade probably wouldn’t be terribly impressed with her progress in that area of her training. She’d only slept with two guys so far and only a handful of times.
“I don’t know,” she admitted honestly. “I hadn’t really thought about it until now. Maybe you’re right. There are other guys around that would be interesting to pursue, I guess.”
“Are you still feeling anxious about…that night?” Naruto asked. “Does that make it harder to…do stuff?”
She sighed and tilted her head back a little to watch the leaves above as they walked towards town. “Maybe,” she admitted softly. “I sometimes wonder if I’ll find out who he is by accident and he’ll be in my bed at the time. I don’t think I could deal with that.”
“If it makes you feel better, he’s probably not someone you’d just run into on accident and end up going home with. You don’t really travel in the same circles,” Sasuke said softly.
“Why won’t you tell me who it is?” she snapped. “And why do you even know?”
“Just rumors going around, and there are strict orders from Tsunade to keep it quiet. It’s part of the lesson I guess, plus he’s a valuable shinobi, as is his partner. She doesn’t want you to kill them,” Sasuke said with a shrug.
“We’d tell you, but I’m more afraid of Tsunade than I am of you,” Naruto said rubbing the back of his head uncomfortably. “If she found out we told you, she’d do more than just beat us, I’m pretty sure about that. She even threatened to send us back to genin if we touched either guy. Now if you figure it out and want to beat either of them senseless, we’ll hold them down for you,” he said with a small bitter smile.
“Thanks,” she said softly with a small nod. Not that it made her feel any better or anymore secure.
***
Sakura knocked on the last door she wanted to be at lately, but pushed through resolutely anyway when she was called inside. She stood silently waiting as Tsunade remained bent over her desk scribbling on some document or another. Even when the blond barked out for her to state her business, without glancing up, she waited stubbornly.
Finally Tsunade looked up, irritated. “What do you want...” she trailed off and stood slowly, almost warily. The last time they’d spoken, Tsunade’s office had needed some serious repairs done. “Sakura! I haven’t seen you in weeks.”
“I’m sorry shishou, I’ve been sorting myself out,” she stated, standing up straight and looking directly at the beautiful, dangerous woman.
“And what do you make of yourself now?” Tsunade asked, taking in her student’s condition. She’d lost a little weight and looked tired, but she seemed more fit than ever and had a certain fierceness in her eyes that hadn’t been there before. She felt a small twinge of regret when she couldn’t find much of the eager child she’d once mentored day and night. Sakura had become a woman and was on her way to becoming just as bitter and jaded as the other ANBU she now worked with.
“I have been training with Naruto and Sasuke to become a better shinobi.” She swallowed hard and said, “I’m still sorting out my feelings about that night, but I feel ready to continue my training as an ANBU member now, if you will still allow it.”
“I never ended it,” Tsunade said rounding her desk slowly. “Do you mean to say, no one else has attacked you?”
Sakura looked confused and just a tad betrayed, “No one shishou.”
Tsunade leaned backwards and crossed her arms. “I see. I wonder why that is exactly.”
“No more lessons are necessary shishou. I assure you I got the message and I’ve successfully fought Sasuke and Naruto off in a very…realistic training sessions. You’ve made your point.”
“Have I?” Tsunade asked looking at her steadily. Sakura met her stare and clenched her jaw in irritation. Finally she sighed, “Very well, I will call off the remaining order; not to say one of them won’t try something anyway. Me calling off the order, doesn’t mean you’re off the hook. Plus there will be other lessons coming, so don’t let your guard down for a moment Sakura.”
She strode forward until she was inches from her student. “You may think I’m the biggest bitch in the world right now, cruel and cold hearted, but I love you like a daughter. The thought of you getting killed by some thug in a back alley breaks my heart. I can’t let you go out there with any weakness Sakura. You can’t go all to pieces when you encounter something new and horrible.”
“Yes shishou,” Sakura whispered.
“You are my weapon first and foremost, as much as I love you, and you will become the best weapon I can make,” Tsunade said firmly. “You will continue to train with people you know can push you to your limits and you will get better each time you survive. When I send you out as a full ANBU you will be the best there is.” She circled Sakura slowly. “I’ve heard the men call you the ANBU Princess. Earn the title for real Sakura, don’t just let it be a mocking nickname.”
“Yes shishou,” Sakura said more firmly, straightening her shoulders and nodding.
“Report to me weekly,” Tsunade said dismissively, drifting back towards her desk.
“I will,” Sakura said turning towards the door.
“Sakura,” Tsunade called softly.
“Yes shishou?” she asked glancing back at the blond.
“Eat something please,” Tsunade replied, bending over her desk once again.
“Yes shishou,” Sakura said, unable to stifle the small smile that crossed her lips as she left the room.
***
Sakura found the two men she needed to talk to the most in the ANBU office, writing up their report from the mission they’d just returned from. Kakashi and Kiba were notorious for waiting until the deadline to write their reports every time they had a big mission to write up. She sat on the edge of their desk and smiled at them. “Almost finished?” she asked picking up one of the many pieces of paper littering the desk in front of them.
“Depends,” Kiba said with a grin. “You have something more fun to do?”
“Yes, but we’re not going to do it until Tsunade gets a decent report,” she said with a laugh.
“We’ll be done in an hour or so,” Kakashi said tugging the paper free of her fingers. “What do you have planned?”
“I want to go to HIDANE and dance and then I want to go back to my place,” she said with a teasing smile.
“You sure about that?” Kiba asked in surprise.
“Yes. I need to get back to training and I need you two to help me out. Sasuke and Naruto are working me out on the training field and I need someone to help me in the other areas required as well. You two can push me to the limit pretty well and that’s what she wants. I’d also like you to give me names of other men that could do the same, with varying tastes if you don’t mind,” she said plucking up a blank sheet of paper and waving it at them.
“What about Anko? She’s pretty freaky,” Kiba teased, taking the paper from her hand.
“Not sure I’m ready for her, but I’ll think about it,” she said standing. “Meet me in two hours? The club should be open about seven I think.”
“I’ll be there,” Kiba said with a grin.
“I might stop in,” Kakashi said with a shrug and a small wave.
“Great, I’ll see you guys later,” she said wandering out of the room, already pondering what she should wear to seduce the two men into her bed again. Of course she wondered vaguely if she’d be able to deal with them once they were there.

Note: I don't hate Tsunade AT ALL, promise. :) She's just the boss and all.
