Sake
Neji unlocked the door to his home as Ten Ten followed him inside. Neji turned on the living room lights. Ten Ten thought the house looked even grander after dark. Maybe it was the high vaulted ceilings or the hardwood floors that reflected the light back upwards, whatever the case, the Hyuugas had a palace. Ten Ten also noticed that the house was spotless, nothing was out of place Neji took her bag to his bedroom while Ten Ten reached in her pocket and put the bobby pins she no longer wore on the kitchen counter.
“Come here.” Neji said motioning Ten Ten further into their kitchen. Neji led her into what could only be described as a pantry. He opened up a long narrow door and pulled out a sliding rack. “This is Hiashi’s sake collection. Why the hell he has so much…I simply can’t figure. My theory is that he looks for something to spend money on, and this is what he picks.” There were at least ten bottles of sake aligned in the rack. Ten Ten couldn’t hold it back any longer she had to ask, “Your family is loaded aren’t they?” Neji closed the cabinet.
“Yeah…we kind of…are.” Neji blushed; he didn’t like to tell anyone that his family had money and lots of it. “Come on, Hiashi has a bottle already open in the fridge.” Ten Ten followed Neji back into their kitchen.
“So, where is your aunt and Hanabi?”
“They went along on the trip.” He pulled out the sake decanter and the saucers. “Have you ever had sake before?” Neji asked sitting across from Ten Ten at the table.
“No, I haven’t.”
“Well, this is the best kind. It’s plum sake, Hiashi keeps a lot of it. He won’t let Hinata have any, but he and I have had many great conversations over it. He didn’t let me try it until I was 15.” Neji poured her a saucer and slid it in front of her. The light yellow liquid sloshed around in the shallow bowl. Ten Ten filled Neji’s saucer.
“Itidakimasu!” Ten Ten said. She took a sip…a very small sip. She then looked at Neji who hadn’t touched his saucer. He wanted to see Ten Ten’s reaction. “Wow. It tastes…fragrant…almost fruity. I like it.” Neji smiled.
“I thought you would.” Neji lifted his saucer to his lips and quickly drank half of it up. “See, my plan is to get you slightly buzzed so you will lose your usual good judgment. Then, you’ll say something like oh god Neji, take me to bed and fuck me crazy.” Neji winked at her and swallowed up the remaining sake in his saucer before pouring another saucer full. Ten Ten finished her saucer and allowed him to pour her some more.
“You know, I would say that completely sober.” Ten Ten grinned all over.
“Yeah, but if you’re a little drunk maybe you’ll say it dirty.” Ten Ten was still grinning, there was no way she was going to let Neji know that she was willing to say anything dirty to him.
“Talk to me, tell me something no one knows about you.” Neji said filling Ten Tens’ saucer again.
“Something no one knows?” Ten Ten thought a moment. Neji watched her. He thought she was irresistibly beautiful…everything about her was beautiful. “I sleep naked.”
“That means tonight too, right?” Neji asked sipping the sake again.
“Of course.” She said in an obvious manner. “Okay, so now you.” She poured more sake into her saucer.
“Well, more times than not, I use Hinata’s conditioner in the shower; cuts down on the split ends.” Neji would have probably never told anyone else such information.
“There’s nothing wrong with that, besides maybe you can lather me up with it sometime in the shower.” This shot Neji between the eyes. She said that in her dirty voice. He wasn’t expecting that and now he was getting turned on by her. Of course, the sake had set in and his cheeks had turned a pleasant shade of pink. “That reminds me, do you mind if I take a shower tonight? Neji swallowed a gulp of sake.
“No, I’m going to also, but I’ll let you go first. I would get in with you, but instead I’ll make you wait for me.” Neji peered at Ten Ten she looked a little drunk. Her cheeks were pink and she was getting ready to pour sake on the table instead of her saucer. Neji took her hand and repositioned it. “No, baby…here’s the saucer.” Ten Ten thought that was hilarious. She laughed and laughed. Her laughter was precious, adorable, innocent… yet not. Neji started laughing with her.
“What the hell are you laughing at?” he asked.
“I have no fucking clue. I think I’m a little drunk.” Ten Ten said still laughing. “By the way, the thong I’m wearing…you can have it.” She regained her composure.
“What? Are you serious? You wouldn’t tease me about such a thing would you?”
“No, you can have it.” Ten Ten finished her sake. She decided she had enough. “You know Neji, you really shouldn’t drink too much. I’ve always heard that if a guy drinks too much he can’t get it up. Now, you wouldn’t want that would you; especially on your 17th birthday!” There was her dirty voice again.
“I’ll get it up…don’t you worry.” Ten Ten got up from the table.
“Okay, well, I’m getting in the shower. I’ll meet you in your room.” Ten Ten kissed Neji and slipped away down the hall.
