So You Thought You Could Handle Him part 2


Naruto sat on the passenger side of the sedan silently wondering what the Bastard had planned for the night. Naruto was sure that Sasuke was up to something and that this something had a lot to do with making his way back into the blonde’s pants, and Naruto was having none of it, and fortunate for Naruto he had a plan and an accomplice.
I can hold out, Naruto fumed to himself. Beautiful bastard thinks that he can get away with offering me to some other Beautiful bastard. Well no I won’t put up with this, just because I love him, I’ll show him.
Sasuke smiled to himself and pretended that he had not heard the little idiot muttering angrily to himself on the passenger side of the car. The two of them were invited to a charity auction that night for a children’s hospital that the Uchiha family had been patrons of from its opening. The auction would put the blonde in Sasuke’s hands and he would enjoy the night to the fullest. When they pulled up to the front door Naruto hopped out of the car wanting to get away from the bastard as quickly as possible. As had been the norm for the past weeks he would make himself scarce for the rest of the evening until they had dinner then he would hide until bedtime and by the time the Uchiha would come to lie beside him Naruto would either be asleep or pretending to be asleep. But tonight Naruto would not have the option of pretending to be asleep.
“Naruto” Sasuke called softly as he walked calmly into the house. “Your clothes for the night should be laid out for you. I need you to go ahead and get dressed the function begins in a little over an hour and we have to drive to the other side of town to pick someone up.”
Smirking Sasuke walked to his room and got dressed, it was going to be his night after all.


“Neji are you ready?” Hinata called to her cousin as she stepped in front of the mirror one last time. She was not sure if she should wear the black dress to accentuate her pale skin or the lavender dress to bring out her eyes.
“I am wearing the black” Neji called to her. “And yes I am ready, though I am more than a little surprised that the Uchiha has decided to give us a ride to the event tonight. I think he is up to something that has nothing to do with us or the exchange.”
“I am sure of that as well.” Hinata smiled to herself as she remembered bumping into Naruto a few days after their meeting at the offices of the bastard as the blonde called the Uchiha. “You know cousin I think that this night is going to be a lot different than you think it will.” Hinata said cryptically.
Hinata and Naruto had decided that Neji and the Uchiha both needed to be taught a lesson, or at least that was what the blond ball of life had decided and Hinata had just for the site of Naruto’s smile and the enthused sound of his voice agreed to it.
Naruto had decided that it should and would be Neji that was offered as a token of goodwill and not Hinata. And though Hinata had wanted to spend time in the bed that she had secretly cried when she left it she knew that she would not have that opportunity with the blonde in residence, so she had agreed that Neji would take her place.
Hinata unknown to her cousin or the Uchiha had met with Naruto for lunch several times when he came into the office to work. Apparently the women in the building had been cruel to Naruto at some time and he wanted to avoid them now that they had decided to befriend him. Naruto was so innocent that he did not know that Hinata could tell that he was the woman that she had met on her meeting with the Uchiha and that Hinata knew that the women at the front desk of the office building Naruto worked in had out of jealously been cruel to him when they thought that he was a beautiful young woman. Hinata had pretended to be surprised when Naruto confided in her. Hinata smiled to herself, I wonder what cousin will say when I tell him that it is him that will be the meat this time and not me? The shadow of doubt that she would have felt at such an exchange drifted away at the thought that Naruto was only doing this to make sure that his place in the heart of his love was a secure one. Though anyone that knew the Uchiha could see that there was no place for anyone in his heart or eyes but the blonde. You are safe in his hands love, Hinata thought to Neji, trusting the blonde ball of life to keep him safe.
A few minutes later the Hyuuga cousins sat in their waiting room their servants looking out for the car that Hinata knew would not arrive for at least another half hour.
“Neji, I have something to tell you.” She said softly.
“What is it?”
“There has been a change of plans.” Hinata said barely hiding the smile in her voice. “You are going to be the one leaving the house tonight not me.”
“What” Neji looked mildly amused raising an eyebrow in her direction.
“Well you know that I have been going out and having lunch by myself a lot these past weeks”
“And” Neji was annoyed but he held his emotions at bay “Uchiha had the nerve to just…”
“I have been meeting with Naruto” that statement stopped Neji’s thoughts in their tracks. “He decided that he wanted you to come instead of me. For some reason it is very important to him, so I agreed to it.”
Hinata then went on to tell Neji that she and Naruto had become friends and that Naruto had promised her that Neji would be in his care and not the Uchiha’s and she thought that it would be a good chance for them to get to know each other and possibly to get Naruto into their possession.
By the time Hinata stopped talking the car had arrived and Neji had no time to protest, exactly as she had planned.
When Sasuke pulled up in front of the Hyuuga house the cousins came out dressed in matching black, their pale skin and black clothing matched the Uchiha, Naruto in his blue dress was the only thing that he felt stood out, as the cousins settled into the car Sasuke heard Naruto mutter under his breath “which one of these things does not belong?” in a sad voice.
“You know” Naruto said as Sasuke was about to pull off. “I think that you and Neji should sit in the front, Hinata and I will sit in the back. We have some girl things to discuss.”
Shrugging the Uchiha waited until the seats were switched and then drove off. Absently he heard Naruto talking excitedly to Hinata in the back seat as he and Neji spoke of investments and other financial ventures. When they arrived at the charity auction Naruto grabbed Hinata’s arm and after sputtering out some excuses they disappeared.
“I wonder what the hell the idiot is up to.” Sasuke muttered watching them disappear into the crowd.
“Well” Neji smiled, “How badly do you want to know?”
“Don’t tell me you’re in on it.” Sasuke grunted snagging a couple glasses from a passing server.
“I am and I’m not” Neji said nodding as he was handed a glass. “It was sprung on me just as the car was pulling up so there was no time for me to argue or rail against it. Hinata is totally on his side.”
Sasuke only quirked an eyebrow at the fact that Neji had called the blonde a he.
“Apparently he and Hinata have become friends, and your idiot is a bad influence on her. They have been having lunch together since they bumped into each other one day.” Neji guided the Uchiha into a private corner so they could talk. “They have decided to trade me instead of Hinata. And from Hinata’s tone Naruto thinks it would teach you a lesson.”
Sasuke would have strangled the blonde had that skinny neck been in close proximity.
“Tell me what is going on with the two of you and what it has to do with me.” Neji said calmly.
“Naruto is jealous of you.” The Uchiha said emotionlessly. “He thinks that you are pretty and feels threatened.” Sasuke knew that he had a history unthinkingly replacing his lovers and being indifferent to their jealously and decided that there was no harm in letting this bit of truth out. “I guess the idiot thinks that bringing you into the mix will teach me a lesson.”
Shaking his head Neji sighed, “Truly, he is an idiot isn’t he?”
Shoulders slumping Sasuke replied “Yes”
“I can’t leave Hinata unprotected so you know that I will not be able to come and stay with you, also because this is not a deal that I bartered for I will not abide by it. Neji told him efficiently. “However…”
“However” Sasuke prodded seeing the glint in Neji’s eye.
“I think that we could come to some type of agreement.”
“Tabun” Sasuke nodded.
Just as Neji was about to start speaking the auction began. To Sasuke’s amazement Naruto’s was the first name that was called and he stepped onto the stage in a blue suit.
“I’m sorry” Naruto said to the crowd smiling from ear to ear, “I know that some of you thought that it would be my sister and not me I hope no one is disappointed.”
The way the auction was set up there were men and women on the auction block. The women bid on the men and the men bid on the women. Because Naruto was on the block as a man Sasuke would not bid on him.
Neji smiled and looked at the fuming man beside him as the blonde started a biding war between two women that looked old enough to be his grandmothers. Finally someone stepped in and bid an outrageously large amount for Naruto in his sister’s name and won the blonde. As Naruto stepped from the stage the Uchiha made his way toward him but stopped suddenly when his name was called as one of the auction pieces.
“We were surprised and honored indeed” Sasuke heard the woman saying after she called him to the auction stage. “When the Uchiha office called to tell us that this year Mr. Uchiha would be auctioning off not only his assistant but himself.”

The bidding war that started over Naruto was nothing in comparison to the outright hostile fight that broke out over the Uchiha, in the end the winning bid for 187,000 was called out from a mystery bidder in the back of the room.
“Right this way Mr. Uchiha.” The auctioneer told him when it was all over.
Sasuke was ushered to the backstage area to await the winning bidder. The auction was set up so that the winning bidder would spend the evening and have dinner with the person that they had won, this was of course supposed to be the dinner that they had all paid $10,000 per plate for, but some of the winners insisted on having more private dinners and with the amount that he had gone for Sasuke was sure that the woman that won him would insist on having some private time with him.
And I should let her have it too, Sasuke fumed to himself, that would show that idiot that he can not do this type of thing to me and get away with it. Even though it was exactly what Sasuke had planned for the blonde.
After a while waiting Sasuke was given a paper from the auctioneer that said that the person who won him had to leave for an emergency but there was a slip that showed that Sasuke owed them an evening out. In keeping with his public appearance in Bath Sasuke emotionlessly accepted.
For the rest of the night Sasuke could not find the blonde anywhere and for a moment he got worried. He should have given the idiot a cell phone. But no, no one would have stolen the blonde from the auction Naruto was just hiding because he knew that he was dead as soon as they were somewhere private, as the night wore on Sasuke noticed that Hinata was nowhere to be found either and he began to wonder if the two of them had snuck off.
Neji approached the Uchiha as the evening began to draw to an end.
“Ok I know that the two of them are up to something but I do not like Hinata being out of site for so long in crowded places like this.” Neji told the Uchiha coolly. “You are going to have to do something with that idiot of yours. His behavior is putting Hinata in danger. Everyone who knows me knows who and what Hinata is to me and if her association with your idiot has caused her to do something stupid and get herself captured…”
“Hinata is a big girl and you have trusted her to my care in the past so you must be sure that she can take care of herself.” Sasuke muttered not liking that Naruto was flaunting the fact that the Uchiha had no control over him for Neji to see. “I am sure that if you thought that she could not take care of herself then you would not have sent her with me or let her out of your site at any time. I think that Naruto is in more danger than her.”
“I have sent her with you in the past because for all your habits, I trusted you to keep her safe.” Neji ground out his irritation peaking through.
“I know that” Sasuke said unable to hide his own anger and worry. “Naruto doesn’t really know what and who I am so it could cause him to…”
“He doesn’t know what you are and what you do?” Neji whispered harshly. “Do you know how dangerous it is for him to be seen and known as your companion and live totally unaware of what it is he is dealing with? And the fact that he is unaware has pulled Hinata into his circle of lively idiocy.”
“Don’t lecture me” the Uchiha hissed.
“If anything happened to Hinata…”
“Sirs” a polite voice cleared its voice from beside them breaking up their quiet furious conversation. “I was given a message for the two of you by Miss Hyuuga and Miss Uzumaki.” The man said nodding to the two angry pale men as he held out a piece of paper to them.
Neji standing closest to the man reached out and grabbed the envelope and turned his back dismissing the man.
“What has your idiot done?” Neji asked his calm voice belying the anger inside him. “And why is it that the great Uchiha Itachi cannot control his pet idiot?”
“Why can’t you control Hinata?” Sasuke countered. “I would have thought that after all these years you would have more of a handle on her than this Neji. I have only had Naruto for a short time now, but Hinata should know better.” The Uchiha smirked when he saw that his jab had hit home.
“Let’s just get them and leave.” Neji growled.
Sasuke smirked and leaned in closer to the slightly shorter man, pressing his advantage. “You know Naruto is right, you are very pretty.” Sasuke barely hid his smile when Neji’s pale face dusted pink from his husky whispered remark. “Let’s see what the children have to tell us hum?” Sasuke said snagging the envelope from Neji’s hand.
Quickly opening and reading the letter that had been left for them the Uchiha could not stop the growl from crawling out of his throat. “They’re gone.” Sasuke hissed. “They are at the house.”
“I am going to assume that when you say ‘the house’ you mean that they are at your house.” Neji said leaning in close to the taller man. “I guess I am going to get to a does of your hospitality tonight.” Neji smirked turning quickly away.
Sasuke followed Neji silently fuming. Naruto knew that things were dangerous he knew that they were to be on guard against Neji and his cousin but instead of listening to what Sasuke had told him Naruto had befriended that woman and forced Sasuke and Neji to spend the evening together.
“Like this is some type of punishment for me offering him Neji.” Sasuke muttered to himself as he watched the retreating back of the slender man in front of him. I have to admit the Uchiha sighed to himself, Neji is very pretty, something about the hair and the eyes and the slender pale body. I wonder what it would be like to wrap myself in that hair and have that insolent voice begging me.
Shaking his head at the tingle in his pants that signaled the tightness that would come if he did not control himself Sasuke thought of Naruto and thoughts of Neji drifted to the back of his mind, for a moment.
“Uchiha, do you have the ticket for the car?” Neji’s smooth voice called to Sasuke.
“I have it here in my pocket.” Sasuke said digging around for the slip the valet had given him when they arrived at the event. “It should be right here, but I can’t seem to find it.”
“Mr. Uchiha, Mr. Hyuuga, your car was taken by Miss Hyuuga and Miss Uzumaki, the ladies arranged a car for the two of you, if you are ready to leave we will have it brought around.” The head valet told them with a smile. “I was a little worried, the two of them should not be out unattended even if Miss Uzumaki is a little tall for a woman, I asked her where her brother was and she told me that he is not the boss of her. She is barely out of her teens and she…” the man paused for a moment blushing “Well she is a little… I don’t know what to call it.”
“Dumb” one of the valets whispered behind him.
“Please excuse him sir” the valet manager sputtered. “It isn’t that she is dumb. We would never say such a thing.”
“She’s an idiot.” Neji said smoothly walking to the car as it pulled around. “That is no secret, but it is not your place to observe her in that way. If you were so concerned about the safety of our escorts you would have had us called when they asked for the car.”
Sliding into the car and making room for the Uchiha Neji tapped the window between them and the driver when they were settled.
“I hope you’re armed.” Neji told the Uchiha when the car started to move. “They have not only left themselves in a vulnerable position but us as well. Hinata will be punished, will Naru?” Neji asked.
“I guess I have no choice.” Sasuke fumed. “I can’t believe Naru would do this, she knows better. I mean I know she is an idiot, but I thought that our situation was understood.” Looking at Neji Sasuke hissed. “This is entirely your fault. All this started because she saw you.”
“My fault,” Neji smirked into the darkness of the backseat of the car. “You’re saying this is my fault?” Neji grunted, “Please explain how this is my fault?”
“Because,” Sasuke said sliding over until he was pressing Neji into the car door. “You’re so very pretty.”
“Is that so?” Neji quirked an eyebrow looking into the dark eyes that he knew had captivated his cousin.
“That is so” the Uchiha said his warm breath misting Neji’s cheek. “How is it that I never noticed before? Hinata is cute, but you Neji are exquisite.” Sasuke tangled his fingers into the long silky hair that lay on Neji’s slender shoulder. Taking a deep breath Sasuke forced himself to slide away from the slender body and pale eyes that were at the moment fascinating him. “Damn that idiot.” He hissed
Sasuke turned his head and looked at the darkness outside the car and wondered what had come over him. As an Uchiha he had total control of himself but for some reason his body was beginning to mutiny. Neji smelled good, and his slender powerful body was pulling at the angry Uchiha across from him. Sasuke knew that he loved Naruto more than anything or anyone on this earth so what was it about Neji.
He is powerful, Sasuke’s mutinous body whispered to him. It would be a challenge to break him, his power coupled with his beauty would be heady to possess. Sasuke knew that to have Neji would please him, but there was nothing that could fill him or complete him like the stupid blonde. Just the thought of Naruto’s smile, his warm body beside Sasuke at night made Sasuke’s soul smile.
The remainder of the car ride was spent in silence as both pale beauties looked at each other out of the corner of their eyes as if they were sitting beside a poisonous snake.

Naruto had made arrangements with the house staff for Neji and Hinata’s stay. He and Hinata had gone out and gotten all of the supplies that he thought that he would need and the guest room on the far end of the family wing was set up for Hinata. Unfortunately she would not be a part of the lesson that Naruto had in store for the two pale beauties.
Hinata watched Naruto as he watched Iruka drive the long black car up to their front door. Naruto had explained to Hinata that he was a virgin when he met the Uchiha and that when he saw her cousin Neji he had worried that his lover would leave him for the pale perfection that he could see in Neji that for some reason the Uchiha had not noticed before. Naruto also confided in Hinata that he was sure that the fact that he had pointed it out to his lover would make it a lot harder for him to ignore.
Hinata was honored that she could call the blonde a friend and though she was a little hurt that his attention had centered on her cousin she was grateful that the bond she would share with him would be a lasting one. Naruto may find Neji attractive but Hinata knew that no one would take the place of the Uchiha in his heart and therefore no matter how pretty her cousin was there was no place for Neji in the life of the sunshine blonde.
When Naruto had blurted out to her a few days prior that he wanted Itachi and Neji to sleep together Hinata thought that Naruto had lost his mind and was setting himself up for heartbreak.
“I want them to be together at least once so that there is no doubt in the bastards mind. I want him to be sure that it is me that he wants.” Naruto had told her. “I know that he loves me but if he has never been with Neji then there is a chance that Neji is the one for him and I want above all things for him to be happy. I could go back to being no one and having nothing if I could be sure that the one that I love is happy.”
The memory of his voice was like a pin through Hinata’s heart the sadness in Naruto’s voice at the thought of loosing the one he loved was painful to hear. When Naruto had told her that the Uchiha had offered Naruto a chance to be with Neji Hinata had seen the offer for what it was, a test to see if Naruto’s head had been turned by the male Hyuuga, Naruto had seen it as just the opposite, an indicator that the Uchiha was interested in Neji.
Hinata looked at the slender blonde beside her and shook her head. She and her cousin had tried to capture the Uchiha not out of any form of malice but because at the time it was good business sense. The Uchiha had branched out into their home country of Japan and his business was growing in leaps and strides. The Hyuuga family was based in Japan and Hinata’s father was the family head there due to the death of Neji’s father. They had been ordered to take out the Uchiha on their honor. Neji and Hinata had not told the family head that they had worked with the Uchiha and were on friendly terms with the man that had been marked a criminal against their family.
“Naruto” Hinata said softly. “You should not do this. I don’t want you to hurt yourself.”
“I would rather hurt myself than let someone else do it.” Naruto said watching the men as they got out of the car. “I love him so much.” Naruto shuddered clutching the curtain. “I would rather give him away than have him taken from me, or worse yet to have him leave me.” Hinata watched as Naruto turned to her and pushed an ocean of loneliness and sadness back behind a stupid smile. “Don’t worry everything will turn out great. When this is done we will be one big happy family, believe it.”
Hinata nodded and went to her room and locked her door for the night just as she had promised Naruto she would. Naruto went to stand at the head of the stairs where he would meet his greatest fears.
Sasuke and Neji walked into the dark foyer and looked around. It was as if the house was abandoned. Looking up Sasuke saw Naruto standing at the head of the stairway. He was wearing a pair of black silk pajama pants and nothing else. The light from the open door behind him made his hair look like a spiky halo around his head. Even in the dim light Sasuke could see the slender perfection of his bare chest and stomach. It had been to long since Sasuke had touched Naruto and his body was protesting the weeks of abstinence.
“I’m glad you two made it here in one piece. Hinata and I made a bet that the two of you would do something to each other in the car on the ride over.” Naruto said in his childishly innocent voice. “I know that you have some things that you want to say,” looking from one pale beauty to the other Naruto continued. “Both of you, but I am going to be in charge tonight. There is something that I need from the two of you and if I don’t get it then Hinata and I are going to… well I wont make any threats, lets just say that the two of us have made up our minds that I will get this one thing that I need from the two of you.”
Sasuke was hypnotized by the site of Naruto and stood silently looking up at him waiting for his directions. It was as if the life that the man exuded had control of him, noticing that Neji was not making a sound at his side Sasuke realized that he was not the only one that seemed to be enthralled by the idiot.
“From the first time I saw the bastard I knew that he was the most beautiful person in the world. There was no one that even compared to him.” trembling slightly Naruto looked to the side. “I thought, even though I knew I was not good enough, I could still be with him because there was no one on this earth that was his equal.” Naruto wrapped his arms around himself holding himself tightly. “Then I saw Neji and I knew… I knew that there was one other person on this earth that was in the same league as the bastard and that was Neji. So beautiful and perfect, the two of you are like a matched pair. And I began to doubt that I could hold on to the person that had in such a short time become so important to me.” Shuddering Naruto looked Sasuke in the eye and continued. “I wanted to be secure and to be sure that you would not leave me and when you said that maybe I should go and be with Neji it hurt me because… because I knew that you had never thought of being with Neji but now that I had brought it up you would start to think of it. You would notice the beauty that you never did before. I was scared that when you offered me the chance to be with Neji that he wouldn’t want me he would want you and in your dealing with him you would see that you had known your mate all this time and then you would see that I was nothing and… and… I have something I need the two of you to do for me.”
Naruto stood at the top of the stairway and the two men at the bottom looked at him in his golden beauty and pain and knew that there was nothing he could ask that they would not do for him.
“Tell us what you want idiot.” Neji whispered. “You know that we’ll do it. If not we would have pummeled you by now.”
Naruto opened his eyes.
“Just spit it out dobe so we can get it over with.” The Uchiha told him. “I’m sure this elaborate plan of yours does not end with a stalemate on the staircase.” Inside Sasuke felt he had failed his love in not sensing his sadness and attending to it sooner.
“Don’t” Neji whispered to the Uchiha. “Don’t beat yourself. He is good at hiding his pain, just as good as we are.”
The hopeful look in Naruto’s eyes made the Uchiha and the Hyuuga start their accent to meet him at the top of the stairway. When they were standing on either side of him looking down at his smile Naruto spoke.
“I want the two of you to…” the words caught in Naruto’s throat. “I want you to… umm… well… how would you say it…”
Neji understanding instantly looked at the blonde in shock, the Uchiha who took all of one additional second to understand the meaning behind the blonde idiot’s sputtering and blushing roared.
“You want what?” Sasuke yelled at the blushing blonde. “You want me to fuck the Hyuuga? Are you out of your mind?”
“Well just listen bastard, I have a reason.” Naruto tried to explain looking up into the dark eyes that had captured his heart.
“Naruto, what are you thinking?” Sasuke continued as Neji stood with his mouth agape.
“Please listen.” Naruto said softly grabbing Sasuke’s hand and holding it to his chest. “Please love, just listen to what I have to say.”
When Naruto clutched Sasuke’s hand to his chest Sasuke could feel Naruto’s heart slamming into his ribcage, he was terrified. The knowledge that Naruto was so on edge calmed Sasuke instantly.
“How is it that my sleeping with him will help anything?” Sasuke asked pulling the smaller man into his arms. “I told you I have never slept with Neji.”
“I know but I want you to be sure that you don’t want anyone else.” Naruto said. “And I feel that if you decide that you don’t want the only other perfect person that I have ever met then I will feel surer that you won’t leave me.”
“Naruto… I” Sasuke was at a loss for words.
“Also because I know that my talking about Neji in that way has made you start to notice him.” Naruto whispered. “Can you say that you haven’t begun to notice him bastard?”
“And why would I do this?” Neji asked raising an eyebrow. “What incentive do I have?”
“Well, if the Uchiha agrees, you can have whatever you want.” Naruto felt his stomach sink to the floor. He wanted Sasuke to say no to what he was offering.
“You want him to tell me no that I can’t have what you’re offering which is yourself. You want him to say no to this whole thing and turn his back on this. You’re afraid that he will leave you for me and you want to test it by giving him the chance to leave on your terms but you don’t want him to take the chance.” Neji’s pale eyes seemed to throb the veins around them pulsed more pronounced as he read Naruto’s thoughts and fears. “You think that you might loose him but you would rather let him go than have him leave you, or be taken from you.” Neji shook his head. “You are being just as much of an idiot as I thought you were.”
“Neji, did you just read my mind?” Naruto asked.
Sasuke looked at Neji over Naruto’s head. He had seen Hinata read people but never with the instant accuracy that Neji had just used to read Naruto.
“You’re more powerful than she is.” Sasuke said calmly.
“If I want to be yes,” Neji answered. “If I focus on a particular person I can read them as clearly as if it is my own thoughts, but that is a secret.”
“Why” Sasuke asked him, worried that Neji might read him and learn his secretes.
“Because I wanted to know why he is doing this” Neji shrugged. “I can feel the sadness loneliness and fear of loss in him and I wanted to know what he was up to, what he thought he would gain from us doing this.”
“I don’t want to gain anything, I just don’t want to feel afraid that I’ll loose him any more.” Naruto said then pulled away from his lover.
“Well I won’t agree to this because I am not willing to share you with anyone.” The Uchiha said pouting, “And you will be giving it up tonight.” He added reaching for Naruto.
“No I will not” Naruto said dodging the hand that reached from him clinging to Neji’s back as he hid from the Uchiha. “Neji is sleeping with us tonight so there is no way that you can get any.” Naruto smiled. “In a way I got exactly what I wanted.”
Naruto laced his arm through Neji’s and turned to lead him to the bedroom. “I got you a pair of pajamas to match mine and the bastards. You will be staying with us for a while.” He chatted with Neji as he led him into the bedroom an angry Uchiha following.
“I will not allow this” Sasuke said as he entered the room.
“Just ignore him and put these on.” Naruto said handing Neji his pajamas. “Here bastard, these are for you.” Naruto said smiling as he handed Sasuke a pair of pajamas then sat on the edge of the large bed to watch the two men angrily undress.
When Sasuke and Neji were undressed Naruto stood smiling and said “Funny how I seem to be getting my way here and neither of you want to do this. I have to admit I’m so lucky.”
Walking up to Neji Naruto reached out and touched his face. “Bastard, isn’t he beautiful? I thought you were beautiful but with him it is different. I don’t understand it.” Naruto said looking into Neji’s eyes then taking a step back. “Look at him love.”
Sasuke looked at the slender man and agreed Neji was beautiful. The site of him shirtless stirred lust inside the Uchiha, but not the love that the site of the shirtless blonde inspired.

Sasuke’s arm snaked around Neji’s waist pulling him flush against the Uchiha’s chest. Neji’s skin just as his hair was silky smooth and soft his skin was softer than Hinata’s with hard muscle beneath it. Neji was definitely the better catch of the two.

Neji wrapped his arms around the Uchiha running his hands up the back of the powerful man that kneeled on the middle of the bed still holding him in his arms. Leaning down to nibble the Uchiha’s collarbone and then trail kisses up his neck Neji pulled an ear between his lips.
“So this is punishment then?” Neji whispered trembling as the feeling of a powerful body holding him as if her were a child brought memories long repressed and best forgotten.
“Not for me.” The Uchiha smiled grinding himself against Neji’s groin, neither of them was fully erect Sasuke was surprised to discover. “I want you but…”
“You love him” Neji said pulling himself from the Uchiha’s hold, sliding back Neji sat on the bed Sasuke between his legs.
Sasuke and Neji turned to look at Naruto. He stood staring at them with rapt attention. Naruto’s blue eyes were dilated and his mouth was slightly open. Tan skin was flushed and Naruto breathed in shallow pants through a partially open mouth.

Sasuke found the key for Neji and escorted him to the door. Sasuke smiled when he noticed that he had left a mark that would not fade until morning on Neji’s pale skin.
“What is it? Neji asked. ”You’re full of emotion tonight.”
“When you get to your room look at your neck.” Sasuke smiled. “I think that tomorrow we should have a private discussion.” Sasuke ran his fingertips along Neji’s collarbone. “You will be safe here for the time being, but moving forward, if I catch you,” Sasuke couldn’t stop himself from leaning in to run his tongue along Neji’s jaw. “Naruto will get his wish on a permanent basis.”
Neji’s shocked gasp was punctuated by Sasuke stepping back and closing the door to his room. For the briefest second the Uchiha could have sworn that he saw terror in Neji’s eyes. Sasuke put that information away for use against Neji at a later date. For now there was a blonde idiot that had been begging for weeks to be punished.
When Sasuke turned he fully intended to murder, or at least beat the idiot blonde that had scared saddened angered and aroused him that night.
But…
Naruto was lying in the center of the bed naked one leg bent at the knee was raised exposing the tight hole that Sasuke could not get out of his dreams. In the room down the hall Hinata held Neji in her arms as he wept himself quietly to sleep memories haunting him well into the night.
Hinata loved Neji sometimes she was sure more than she loved herself. Many people thought that their relationship was disgusting. People thought that the cousins were lovers. No one not even that stupid woman Tenten knew the truth.

The sounds Neji made were those of a frightened child. The meeting that took place the next day that would formally make Neji the successor to the family was a disaster. Whatever had happened with Naruto and the Uchiha had brought up the old memories, and pain.

Orochimaru had been given the task of disposing of Tenten, just as he had been given the gift of removing her clit neither of which had he done. In his mind the plan that the stupid woman had come up with would never work because the Hyuuga twins were already on to them. So without informing Tenten Orochimaru had changed the plan. He would tell the twins what the woman had planned and he would let them know his true thoughts on the plan and in the end he would bargain to be the one to take the parts from the woman as a reward for his loyalty. This was all part of the pan. All Orochimaru had to do was stay away from them. The fact that the stupid woman would think that he had sold her out would only make them all the more secure when they went about their business because the Hyuuga twins would think her dead.
When Orochimaru had taken the woman from the room of the male Hyuuga she had been beaten and tortured horribly, but not permanently damaged, luckily. Now she was an unknown factor in the Hyuuga and Uchiha war. All they had to do now was get their hands on the females that seemed to have the noses of the most powerful men Orochimaru knew so wide open.

Naruto woke with a start his skin was on fire. When he sat up in bed Naruto shuddered and looked around him it was still dark outside so he was sure that he had not been asleep for long. He and Sasuke had lain in each others arms for a long while before they fell asleep. But something was wrong, Naruto could not sleep. His mind was filled with the site of Neji and Sasuke in each others arms. There was nothing in this world that would or could have prepared Naruto for the site of the two of them together and now that he had seen it he could not sleep. The fact that he and the bastard had not made love in weeks did not make it any easier for the blonde.
As quietly as he could Naruto slid to the side of the bed and stood. Shivering but not because he was cold Naruto went to what Sasuke called the sun room.
The sun room was a small, by the bastard’s standards, room that had floor to ceiling windows and window seats that were at waist level. Walking into the room that was well lit due to the full moon Naruto sat with his back against the window and began talking to himself. Years of his voice being his only companion had made the habit of speaking out loud to himself hard to break.
“I don’t understand what it is about Neji? I wish that he could be a part of the family.” Naruto said. “I think that we could keep him happy and I am sure that though the bastard says that his heart is in my chest he would treat Neji well, I mean damn, just thinking of Neji with those eyes and that hair makes me want to ruin my pants.” Naruto ran a hand across his erection. “I want him so bad. I’ve never wanted anyone or thing like this besides the bastard. I think that means that Neji should stay with us but I don’t know how we would get him to be a part of our family.” Leaning against the window Naruto reveled in the feel of the cold glass against his back as he fought not to touch himself.

Smirking Naruto lifted one foot onto the window seat and relaxed his mind. “But to have the two of them. It would make me so happy. Like a family almost, I would love to feel Neji’s hair on me, and Sasuke behind me.” shuddering Naruto whimpered to himself.

The light from the moon made Neji standing in the corner clutching himself in what looked in the moonlight like a terrified child stopped Sasuke at the door. He wanted to observe Neji unseen and Sasuke decided that he should just wait and see.
Watching from the door and listening to the blondes words made Sasuke look more closely at Neji, who stood trembling in the corner watching the blonde, but for some reason Sasuke did not think he was aroused as he should have been, there was a hint of something… fear… in Neji that Sasuke never thought he would see.

“I knew you wanted him bastard” Naruto said gruffly trying to hide his happiness. “You have to treat him well you now that right.”
“I am sure that neither you nor Neji will allow me to treat him any other way.” Sasuke said pretending to ignore Neji. “But I think that he is broken just like we are, he needs to be healed, just like you did, just like me.”
“Then we have to protect him.” Naruto said eagerly. “But I think that you are wrong.”
“He thinks that I would rape him.” Sasuke said looking at Neji.
“Well,” Naruto said looking at the slender man that held himself so straight and so far from them. “I know that the bastard is not all that nice and there is a history between you, but Neji you are family now. We will protect you.” Naruto looked Neji in the eyes and vowed earnestly. “I promise that you are safe here with us. I won’t let anyone hurt you. You’re mine now, my family and I won’t let you get hurt. I promise.”
Neji was shocked by the feverent promise the blonde made to protect him. Snorting Neji turned to the window ignoring the two men that thought that they could just take him as part of their family like an abandoned child.
“I won’t let you rape me, and I am not an abandoned child that you can pick up off the street.” Neji said.
“Who rapped you Neji?” the Uchiha asked he knew that his observation was correct when he saw the immediate tension in Neji’s shoulders.
“Neji…” Naruto reached a hand out to Neji but dropped his hand. “Who… who did… bastard, you’ve got to be wrong.” Something in Naruto’s voice pleaded when he whispered. “You’re wrong, he wasn’t rapped.”
Sasuke had asked the hard question to test Neji for reaction, Sasuke had forgotten that the idiot was a walking bottle of compassion. The news that Neji was rapped was heartbreaking to the blonde. Sighing Sasuke decided to tell the blonde what he thought.

“That settles it.” Naruto said angrily. “He is ours, he doesn’t have a choice. Sasuke you find who did this and you have them killed. In the worst of ways” Turning to Neji Naruto said. “You’re our family now, ours to love and to protect.”
“I am not a child I can protect myself. You’re just an idiot that doesn’t know the way of the world.” Neji told Naruto not turning to look at him.
“I wish that was true.” Naruto said suddenly tired Naruto looked at Sasuke. “You get nothing until that is taken care of. I mean it, I want that person dead.” Shivering Naruto remembered he was naked, and tired. “Why the hell am I naked? I’m going to bed.” Naruto yawned and walked from the room.
“I love you Naruto” Sasuke said as the blonde walked from the room.
“I love you too, and we will love and protect Neji too.” Naruto said.
Sasuke stood watching Neji, he hadn’t wanted Neji to know his real name but the idiot had made the slip or the choice and now he had to make sure that he was safe. Sasuke did not want to have to…
“I have known from our little time earlier that you were using your brothers name Sasuke. I will not use it against you.” Neji said calmly. “I also know that you are serious in your thinking that you can have me.” Neji turned to Sasuke. “I will not tell anyone who you are, it was information learned while under vouchsafe.”
“Neji, Naruto has claimed you” Sasuke began. “I can’t let you leave us. You’re mine now.”
“I am a very powerful man” Neji said looking out the window.
“I know,” Sasuke said noting the dark circles under Neji’s eyes and the worry lines around his pale eyes. “It pleases me that I would have someone so powerful as my own.”
Sasuke walked across the room toward Neji. Bending down he scooped Neji into his arms. The sudden loss of balance and being lifted startled Neji into throwing his arms around the Uchiha’s neck.
“What the hell.” Neji gasped looking into Sasuke’s eyes. “You can’t just…”
“I have had more than enough for one night.” Sasuke said as he turned to walk them to bed. “I can only deal with one idiot, and I will not let you worry or abuse yourself.”
“What…”
The confusion in Neji’s eyes made Sasuke smirk. “I don’t like the dark circles under your eyes or the worry lines either.” Sasuke explained as he carried Neji to the bed that Naruto was already asleep in. “You get some rest. I don’t want you out of bed until there are no more lines or dark spots on your face.” Shifting his grip Sasuke pulled the cover back and placed Neji in the bed. After covering Neji Sasuke reached down and smoothed Neji’s hair over his shoulder. “Naruto told me that I have to kill the person who hurt you.” Sasuke said sitting beside Neji on the bed. “I wish that you would tell me who did it and make it easier on me but I won’t force you. But I do need you to understand that I am going to find out and I will have this person killed.”
Neji looked up at the Uchiha in shock, who was this man? Was this the Uchiha Itachi that struck fear in the hearts of everyone he came in contact with? No this was his little brother, this was Uchiha Sasuke and because of Naruto Sasuke had survived, and because of Naruto Uchiha Itachi was Neji’s protector.
“I can not tell you” Neji said softly.
“Not right now” Sasuke said softly. “Get sleep” leaning in Sasuke kissed Neji on the forehead. “You belong to me now Neji, please don’t fight it. I won’t kill you but if you try to leave it would hurt Naruto and I will punish you. You can have whatever you want, do whatever you want, the only thing I require is unthinking undying loyalty.”
“Bastard” Neji said softly looking Sasuke in the eyes.
“Good” Sasuke smiled. “Now go to sleep, you had better be looking like your normal self when I see you out of this bed.” Standing Sasuke turned to leave the room.
“Bastard?” Neji called softly.
“Hum?”
“Where are you going?” Neji asked.
“I have to find somewhere to sleep.” Sasuke told Neji and looking him in the eyes Sasuke added, “I need you to feel safe, but I need you to get comfortable quick because I like to sleep in my bed.”
Neji watched amazed as the Uchiha walked from the room.
He gave up his bed so I wouldn’t feel… “But Naruto is here” Neji said sinking into the bed.
“To watch over you while you sleep.” Neji heard Sasuke say from the hall. “You’re ours to protect, now, go to sleep beautiful.”
Neji watched the door for a long time in the dark room. How had he ended up here, he was a powerful man as powerful as the Uchiha Neji was sure. So how was it that he had ended up here with the Uchiha telling him that he belonged to the Uchiha and that he would be protected? Neji was confused and for the first time in a long while Neji was comfortable and ironically for the first time sense his father’s death Neji felt safe and protected. Neji had used his skill to read the Uchiha, to read Sasuke, and he was positive that the man had meant every word he told him. Sasuke considered Neji a part of his family now and Sasuke would protect him. Sasuke was also going to find and kill the man that had hurt him as a boy. For a while Neji allowed his heart and mind to explore the thought of having his uncle killed.
The memory of his uncle holding him down tearing his clothes from his body sent a tremor of repulsion and fear through Neji, his uncle was his father’s twin brother and though Neji could easily tell them apart, that night was a horror because so soon after his father’s death his uncle coming to his room in the middle of the night had confused Neji, it was as though his father were trying to rape him. For years after the incident Neji had trouble thinking of this father because his uncle’s identical face would impose itself over his father’s and Neji would see unveiled lust.
I feel safe here, in this bed with these men. Neji thought surprised as fatigue pulled at his eyelids. Hinata never makes me feel like this. She has been a touchstone for so long, but there is something in me that thinks that she led her father to my room that night. Neji had been alone after his father’s death and the attack had only shown Neji that fact with vivid clarity. Hinata was all Neji had she was his only family and Neji had never used his skill on her, never tried to read her. Deep within Neji feared that if he read Hinata he would learn something that his heart could not handle, for so long Hinata was all he had.
Neji fell asleep reveling in the feeling of safety and comfort he got from his new position as a member of Sasuke’s family.
Much later for a moment Neji’s mind tried to bring back memories of the night of his attack and he fought briefly with his uncle or was it his father? But almost as soon as the terror began as his uncle/ father leered lustfully down at him Neji felt as though strong arms took him in and the monster that was at once his father and his uncle could not reach him.
For the first time in what seemed like forever Neji truly rested when he slept.
Sasuke when he left the bedroom had wandered the house looking for a room that he would not mind sleeping in but Hinata was in the only other room that he slept in so Sasuke went to the sun room to think. What was he thinking in taking Neji in as a part of his family and not just a member of the family like some of his more loyal and trusted employees, but a real member of his life a part of his heart? There was only one person that he thought should be there but in letting Naruto hold his heart Sasuke had made it possible for Naruto to let others in.
Neji is mine, Sasuke was still happily stunned by that fact. The site of the arrogant powerful man timid and confused had forced Sasuke to admit that he was attracted to Neji in a way that he would not easily be able to ignore. The thought that he would have wanted to cheat on Naruto with the pale beauty was easily washed away when in granting what he claimed was Naruto’s wish he granted his own.
Sasuke sat in the window seat and looked at the moon. Knowing that he would not find sleep outside of his bed Sasuke went to his office and made a call to his office in Japan.
The Uchiha family was from a small town in Japan, Sasuke’s father was a powerful businessman. What made Sasuke powerful were the people that worked for him, personally. They were five people that he had known from the time he was a boy. Five people that would lie kill steal rape and blackmail for him, one of whom to this day still stunned him was Ino. Though Sasuke had rapped Ino and he was sure that was a first experience that was traumatizing for a girl, Ino had become his first female friend, and when his brother had left him Ino had stood beside him along with his friends Shino and Shikamaru. Sasuke smiled when he thought of the blonde woman. Maybe, he thought to himself, that was why he was so attracted to the blonde blue eyed man. Naruto was similar to Ino in coloring but the things that Ino lacked Naruto had, innocence, which Sasuke had stolen from Ino, and life which Sasuke thought he may have stolen as well.
The phone was answered on the tenth ring.
“Donata desu ka.” Ino’s voice answered the phone.
“Konbanwa Ino hisashiburi desu. Ii genki desu ka?” Sasuke smiled
“Douka shita no” Ino asked him absently.
“Ore wa dame desu Ani wa hitori no korotagatte imasu” Sasuke told her
“Dare desu, dore onna to otoko desu ka?” Ino asked
“Otoko desu, Osoraku, shikashi wakatanai” Sasuke admitted
“Mou ichido itte kudasai Nani otokoTabun? Baka ie Sasuke”
“Hai hai dakedo…” Sasuke tried to explain
“Shinpai nai Dono kurai hayai no”
“Wakariyasui nai”
“Shinpai nai” Ino said softly “Hanasu”
Sasuke told Ino all he knew of the situation which was mostly nothing and when he got off the phone with her he smiled. Ino he was sure would tell the others and they would find the man that had rapped Neji. If he was in Japan and Sasuke was sure that it was a man and that the man was still in Japan, Sasuke’s people would find him.
Standing Sasuke decided that his two… children would be asleep and he could crawl into bed without making Neji feel uncomfortable.
When Sasuke walked into the room he saw that the sun was peaking over the horizon disgruntled that he had not gotten any sleep or sex and there were two people that he was now obligated to protect Sasuke for a moment thought to knock them out of his bed but standing over the bed for a moment looking at them sleep peacefully something inside him told Sasuke that he was truly whole now.
As Sasuke watched Neji’s sleep became troubled Neji whispered, “Please uncle don’t.” Neji’s frightened whimpers and words told Sasuke two things. Neji’s rapist and that Neji needed him just as much as Naruto did, which was just as much as he needed Naruto, and possibly Neji.
Instead of getting into the bed behind Naruto Sasuke slid in behind Neji pulling the pale man into his arms and holding him closely.
“I won’t let him hurt you” Sasuke whispered. “Don’t worry, you’re safe here no one not even your own father could hurt you now.” Sasuke promised quietly.
Soon Neji’s trembling stopped and he pushed closer to Sasuke as if he were trying to hide inside the Uchiha’s chest. Sasuke fell asleep holding Neji’s demons at bay as Naruto often did his. Sasuke reveled in the feeling of protecting someone so strong. I wonder if this is how Naruto feels when he fights off my demons in the night. Sasuke wondered as sleep pulled him under.
Hinata woke to an empty bed, much as she expected. After the night that Neji had she was sure that he would not get much sleep he never did really, but on nights when the memory of what her father had done were most vivid Neji only slept a few minutes and when she fell asleep he would get out of the bed.
Hinata sighed as she thought of the reprimand that she would give the idiot blonde for hurting her cousin with his stupid insecure plan. Now that she thought about it Hinata was not sure why she went along with it. Maybe because there was a part of her that wanted Neji to see what it was like to be the meat on the trading block, though she had to admit that the only person Neji had ever been willing to let take her from his care had been the Uchiha.
“I’m sure that Neji will want to leave this place as soon as he sees that I am awake.” Hinata grunted again wishing that one of the men in the house would want her. Damn her cousin for being the one to catch the eye of the blonde. “If it had been me then the night would not have been wasted.” Hinata said as she stood knowing that the chances of a Hyuuga making their way into the bed of the Uchiha had been destroyed.
Hinata thought back to Neji and how carefree he had been before his father, her uncle had been killed. Hinata remembered how her father had resented the fact that his younger twin brother had been the one to start the Hyuuga clan’s venture into the underworld and though her father was the older brother he had to answer to the younger twin. Hinata was the only person that knew her father had killed his twin. Hinata was also the only person that knew that her father enjoyed the company of young boys. Part of the reason Hinata went to Neji’s room the night her father set out to rape him was to make sure that her father did not try anything. Her father’s lust for power and flesh were what granted Hinata the prize that she had wanted all her life.
Just as her father lusted after his younger brother’s power Hinata lusted after her cousin. Hinata could not fault her father for what he had done to Neji, she wanted Neji just as badly as her father but was not strong enough to bend him to her will. The reason that she was allowed to take Neji away from their home town in Japan was because she had proof that her father had killed his brother. The deal was made in the hours after Neji’s assault and after the meeting for the leadership of the family ended her father allowed Hinata to leave taking Neji with her. No one knew that Hinata thought that one day she would be the one to hold her cousin’s heart.
The time directly after the cousins left Japan had been hard on Neji and hopeful for Hinata. It was years before Hinata realized that the mental damage her father had done to her cousin was beyond repair. Hinata knew that at night Neji dreamed that it was his own father not his uncle trying to rape him.
By the time the cousins met the Uchiha Hinata had all but given up on having her cousin in her bed as more than a broken child fighting his demons. The Uchiha’s touch washed away most of her desire for a different relationship with Neji, calming her body and soothing the ache for pale flesh in a way that broken Neji never could.

“I would assume that Hyuuga is asleep.” Iruka told her. “I found a note left for the staff by the master that Mr. Hyuuga was now a part of this household and that you were to be taken care of until arrangements could be made for you.”
“Neji, a part of this household?” Hinata questioned. “So the Uchiha thought that Neji would work for him?” Hinata wondered aloud.
“No Miss Hyuuga” Iruka corrected. “Neji is now to be treated as an Uchiha. Neji Hyuuga is now a master in this house. The formal announcement has not been made to the staff that will be done when the master wakes.”
Hinata was stunned. What the hell was going on here and where was Neji? The last time she saw him he was trembling in her arms fighting off nightmares that he could not outrun. Did the Uchiha think that he could take Neji from her? Neji belonged to Hinata and only Hinata.
“Where is my cousin?” Hinata asked icily.
“I would guess Miss Hyuuga that Master Neji is in bed.” Iruka told her. “None of the young masters have been seen this morning, which is odd because master Naruto always wakes no later than six to sneak a bowl of ramen before master Uchiha wakes.
Turning on heel Hinata walked up the stairs to Naruto and Itachi’s room. There was no way that Neji would have went to the Uchiha that damn blonde could not have won Neji over. Neji belonged to Hinata, she would never have him in the way that she wanted him but she was secure in the fact that no one would either.
Quietly opening the door to the master bedroom Hinata saw Neji held closely in the Uchiha’s arms sleeping peacefully. Neji’s head was tucked under the Uchiha’s chin and even though they were asleep when Neji shifted Hinata could see the hand that in sleep rubbed comforting circles on Neji’s back. Hinata had never seen Neji sleep so deeply, so peacefully.
Behind Neji Hinata noticed the top of a blonde head move. Naruto was covered from head to toe by the blankets. The only thing that could be seen of him was the hair on top of his head. Hinata stood watching the scene for a long time before she left the room.
The Uchiha thought that he could have Neji, that blonde slut Naruto thought that he could just decide that the Uchiha and Neji would make a couple and then presto it happened. No, Hinata thought livid from the site of the three of them together in bed. Hinata was disgusted that Neji looked like he was finally where he belonged and that was not in her arms. Hinata fumed over the fact that the Uchiha had never held her while she slept and that Neji even when Hinata held him while he had nightmares had never slept peacefully.
Hinata had wanted her cousin for herself but that was not happening so she would have to destroy him. Hinata went down to the servant Iruka and had him arrange to drive her home. Hinata needed to talk to her father. The only thing that had saved Neji from her father’s tender mercies was her protection. Well if Neji thought that Hinata could be replaced and that it was safe in the arms of the enemy then she would leave him defenseless and see how he faired. Hinata would rather her father rapped and killed Neji than let him live happily with someone else.
When Hinata walked into the house she saw Orochimaru standing in the corner and ordered him to follow her to her office.

Orochimaru looked the once timid woman in the eye and fought to hide the shiver that went down his spine. This was a side of Hinata that he had never seen and it made him want to posses her all the more.
“You will never posses me” Hinata told him not looking up from the letter she was quickly writing. When the letter was sealed Hinata handed it to Orochimaru and looking him in the eyes she told him. “I will cut you open and keep you alive for hours while I play with your entrails if you disappoint me. In this there are no second chances. Open this letter and die, take it to my father in Japan and be back here before I go to bed tomorrow night with his response.”
“Wakarimashita” Orochimaru answered. “Sore de kimatta”
“Mou subete” Hinata told him “Ikinasai”
The note Hinata jotted to her father was a request for Rock Lee and Guy to be sent to her side. Hinata needed men that were loyal to her more than Neji. Hinata knew that Lee had been in love with her from the time they were children and though he was seldom in the United States whenever the cousins went home to Japan or Lee could come to visit them in America Hinata made sure to sleep with him solidifying his bond to her. Hinata knew that his loyalty and love for her coupled with his jealousy of Neji would work in her favor someday.
“Today is that day” Hinata said looking out the window as she planned how she would kill the Uchiha hand Neji over to her father and torture the blonde idiot that had caused all this trouble.
Neji had a hard time forcing himself to wake. He was warm and he was safe. There was a soft beat that was steady and sure that pulled him under every time he tried to shake himself from the clutches of the best sleep he had ever had in his life. “I need to get up.” Neji said trying to force himself awake.
“Why beautiful?” the unexpected answer rumpled from deep within Neji’s pillow. “You barely slept at all last night. I think you should get as much rest as you want.”
Neji was stunned that he had slept in the Uchiha’s arms. Neji pealed his eyes open to see Sasuke smiling down at him with those endlessly dark eyes, and as soon as he realized where he was Neji felt an oven pressed against his back. Naruto is so warm, is that because he is so alive?
“What is it with the men in my life?” Sasuke asked pulling Neji back to his place firmly on Sasuke’s chest. “Why is it that after a few moments of learning that you wake in my arms you start to frown?”
“I am not frowning” Neji flushed trying to pull away only to succeed in being placed more firmly on Sasuke’s chest. “And stop doing that” Neji huffed why couldn’t he free himself from the bastard’s hold, had a night of good sleep robbed him of his strength? And why didn’t he feel uncomfortable?”
“Hey hey” Sasuke said placing his finger under Neji’s chin to turn his face toward him. “You are not allowed to be grumpy for at least one hour after we all wake.” Sasuke gently chided. “Now beautiful, before the idiot wakes up tell me what is wrong?”
“Stop calling me beautiful” Neji protested looking away from those dark eyes. Sasuke’s grunt made Neji blush. “I was just thinking that I don’t understand why I feel safe, and why I slept all night. I never sleep more than three hours at a time, three hours of sleep is even rare for me.”
“Well beautiful” Sasuke said positioning Neji so that Sasuke could comfortably hold him while they spoke. “That is not a good thing. You should sleep at least six hours when pressed but eight on a regular basis. I think I may order you to the bed for a few days until I think that you have rested enough.” Sasuke said looking as if he were seriously considering ordering Neji to stay in bed.
“You can’t force me to stay in bed.” Neji scoffed. “And I have things to do I need to make sure that Hinata is alright and you know that I will not stay here.” Neji protested thought he continued shifting until he was comfortable in Sasuke’s arms against Naruto’s side.
“My house staff told me that Hinata left the house hours ago.” Sasuke told Neji. “And she stood watching us in bed for what seemed like a lifetime but I think it was about fifteen minutes.”
“She saw me here?” Neji tensed. “I need to talk to her.” Neji tried again to rise but was held in place.
“You are at home now.” Sasuke said firmly. “This is where you should and will be. And there are some things that I want to talk to you about before Naruto wakes.”
The serious tone in the Uchiha’s voice got Neji’s attention.
“Iruka took her home and then he watched the house. He knows that Hinata is important, she spent time here you know so he thought that she should be monitored until we woke at the very least.” Sasuke explained. “I was informed that Orochimaru left your house less than half an hour after Hinata arrived. Iruka followed him.”
“Ok” Neji knew he was about to hear something that he didn’t want to.
“He went to his apartment to pick up Tenten and they went to the airport.” Sasuke said pulling Neji’s head under his chin. There was a part of Sasuke that wanted to protect Neji from this as he would have Naruto, but Sasuke needed Neji to be strong. “Orochimaru went to Japan to deliver a letter to Hinata’s father.”
Sasuke could feel Neji tremble for a moment and then it was as if Neji’s whole body became a board.
“I am sure that she sent word that I am well and that…”
“Don’t” Sasuke cut Neji’s emotionless words short. “I want you to read her. Now and tell me.”
“I… I can’t read her.” Neji whispered. “If she is… I just, I just don’t want to know.”
“Wakarimashita” Sasuke said rubbing soothing circles on Neji’s side. “The servants know but I am making a formal announcement when we get up that you are a member of my family now. There are only three of us but we are powerful.” Sasuke waited for a moment not saying a word. He knew from holding Neji through the night that Neji had nightmares about his uncle, Hinata’s father.
“I know your uncle is the one that assaulted you as a child.” Sasuke said softly. “I will protect you, but you have to be willing to accept the fact that you may have to let Hinata go.”
“She saved me from him” Neji whispered fighting not to tremble. God please don’t let Uncle be coming here Neji whished. I can’t bear the site of him. Even when we go home I never face him.
“Neji” Sasuke called shaking Neji to gain his attention. “Hey beautiful where are you? What nightmare has you trapped now?”
“Betsuni” Neji said. “I was just thinking that there is no proof that the letter Hinata sent had anything to do with me it could be something about you.”
“You’re making excuses for her” Sasuke chided softly. “You know there is something about her that is not quite right and that is why you don’t have the heart to read her. I think that I will send the two of you away until I deal with our problem with the Hyuuga family.”
“I am a member of the Hyuuga family.” Neji protested. “I am the rightful head of the Hyuuga family.”
“Ok” Sasuke sighed realizing that Neji was stubborn and would be hard to control. Sasuke had an idiot and a stubborn bastard to take care of now. Why couldn’t I just stay alone and carefree Sasuke wondered. And how was it so easy to let Neji into my home and I think my heart?

Why are you taking me in like this?” Neji asked softly.
“I was just asking myself that question.” Sasuke told him. “But I don’t think the answer matters because it feels right. Just don’t be an idiot like the blonde over there.” Sasuke said as he got out of bed and walked toward the shower. “I have work to do.” He told Neji. “You are not allowed to get out of bed until the idiot gets up. I want you well rested. No objections.” Sasuke stressed as he closed the bathroom door.
Neji looked at the closed door and wondered why he would obey the bastard, Neji also realized why the blonde called Sasuke a bastard. I should just get up. Neji thought and sat up in bed but then he remembered the feeling of safety that Sasuke gave him and realized that the order to rest was for his own good, even if it was an assertion of authority.
Neji pounded a fist into the pillow, I could just wake Naruto and then I could get up. The order was to stay in bed until the blonde got up. Neji decided to just do as he was told and make the bastard suffer later, He would take a page from Naruto’s book. Neji lay with his eyes closed and thought. I read him several times when we woke up. He is concerned for my safety, and he is working on ways he can keep me safe while disposing of uncle. Neji pondered his new situation. He was with a powerful person that truly in his heart wanted Neji safe and happy. Neji understood the Uchiha’s appeal to the blonde and the blonde’s draw to the Uchiha. Neji just wondered why he was now a part of the strange mix. Neji realized that he had allowed himself to be taken for exactly the reason the Uchiha gave, it felt right.
Naruto had woke during Neji’s conversation with the bastard. Though Naruto did not hear the whole conversation he heard enough to know that Neji would be staying with them and that it was Neji’s uncle Hinata’s father that had attacked Neji as a child. Naruto lay still until he was sure that Neji had gone to sleep and then he eased out of bed and went to find Sasuke.
Naruto found Sasuke in his office after checking the kitchen and the sun room.
“Morning idiot” Sasuke said not looking up from his computer screen.
“Morning bastard” Naruto said coming to sit on the desk in front of Sasuke.
“What is Neji doing?” Sasuke asked still working intently.
“He is asleep.”
“Oh” Sasuke looked up. “That means that he will be here soon.” Sasuke told Naruto.
“Why he just fell asleep?” Naruto protested pushing Sasuke’s chair away from the desk so that he could straddle Sasuke’s lap.
“His father’s twin brother rapped him when he was a little boy.” Sasuke explained. “He doesn’t sleep, you should understand.”
Remembering the nightmares that he had every night until he found the bastard Naruto slumped.

“I should show you how I feel about this imposed abstinence you have tortured me with these last weeks?” Sasuke questioned with a smirk. “Ok”
