Chapter 8
*okay, besides the last chapter, this one as well as the next one are going to be all of Act 2. However, these 2 chapters are going to be very long, all about the training for the fight, and the second is the fight itself, I can’t tell you any more then that, but I promise, this battle will be the last thing on your mind when you go to bed that day you read it.)

Chapter 8: Harsh and Brutal Training, a New Battle is About to Start.
Naruto and Hinata walked down the street, holding hands while waling by his favorite ramen shop. “Man what I wouldn’t give for a bowl, but right now we have some business to take care of,” Naruto said, smelling the pork and beef flavors flowing through the air. Both of them were more focused on what they were doing however, for Tsunade asked them to head over to her office, and both knew why, “Father,” she said, and Naruto squeezed her hand a little tighter.
Hiashi was standing next to the Hokage’s desk as the couple walked in, he was told by Tsunade that, until the matter was over, he was not to lay one finger on Naruto, or he would be in a hospital bed for a few months. The Hyuga leader was very nervous about her saying that, knowing that she would put him there herself. Tsunade spoke first, “ok, Hiashi here wants to fight you Naruto, however, it is up to you weather you do. Furthermore, he wants you to stay away from his daughter, but again, this is up to the both of you. If you accept to this, then I will discuss this further.” Naruto looked at Hiashi, then to Hinata, “this monster doesn’t deserve to have my daughter’s affection, Hinata you are to come home at once,” the Byakugan master said in a rather commanding voice. Hinata was going to tell him off, but Naruto stopped her, adding, “fine, I accept, but…” “But…?” the 2 elder ninja spoke simultaneously, “if I win, Hinata and I are going to get married, and you will never raise a tone like that to either one of us again, got it?” The old Hyuga got right into his face, looking deep into his opponent’s blue eyes, “very well, but if you lose, you are to never again step foot into Konoha, and Hinata is not allowed to ever mention your name again.” Naruto nodded, and Hinata was frightened, *Naruto-kun and father are going to fight….why would you accept this Naruto-kun?* she thought to herself.
“Alright, you are going to fight in the arena in exactly 2 months, giving both of you time to train, the rules of the match will be announced before it begins, agreed?” both men nodded, still glaring at each other. “Very well, be gone both of you,” and they were off, ready to train for the toughest battle they would ever face.

“Why are you going through with this Naruto-kun?” Hinata asked in tears, she has every reason to be concerned for both her father and her ‘pending’ fiancée. Naruto looked into her eyes, and kissed her softly, then whispered to her, “because he has no right to treat you or the person you love like that,” the paused for a second, then added, “even if I am the container of the Kyuubi.” Hinata hugged her man tightly, snuggling with him slightly, just outside of the Hokage Building. “Well, if you are going to do this, you going to need help,” she sighed, “but, I have an idea, follow me,” and the 2 of them went in search of the only 3 men who could help.
“You want me to train him so he can fight WHO?!” Maito Gai was baffled when he heard Hiashi’s name. *Is this Uzumaki kid serious? I mean I know he loves this girl, but he may have bit off more then he can chew.* “Yes, I want you to train him to fight my father, Hyuga Hiashi,” Hinata nodded, looking at Kakashi and Neji, her other 2 ideal mentor’s for this training. Neji hummed a little, and then whispered something to Kakashi, who nodded. “Naruto, if you have any hope of fighting my Uncle, there are 4 things you must know within these 2 months,” Neji said, and the 4 men sat down. “First, you need to know all of the secrets of the Byakugan; second, you’re going to have to learn about the gentle fist technique.” “Third,” the copy ninja added, “You’re going to need to train your body to be strong and fast; and lastly, you’re going to need to learn about the Chakra Gates,” Hakate Kakashi looked at Gai, and Gai nodded. “Normally Naruto, you’d have to train, body and mind for years before perfecting this stuff,” Gai added, “but in your case, we’re going to have to push you hard to learn all of this, are you sure you can do this?” Naruto grinned, “I learned how master the Rasengan in a little over a month, I think that this should be a cake walk.” All the Ninja nodded, “alright, let’s get started,” Gai laughed, and the 4 men began training.

Hiashi meditated under the waterfall in his room, trying to let his mind become void of thought, to sharpen his senses. He heard a knock at his door, “enter, “he murmured, and the soft steps told him exactly who it was. “WHY?” was all Hinata could say, which surprise Hiashi, his daughter was the last one to want to raise her voice to anyone. “I can understand why you’re upset daughter, but he is the Kyu…” he was cut off by a sharp pain going across his cheek, a kunai wound. Hiashi opened his eyes to see Hinata, and realized just how angry she was, because she was in a full stance, poised to attack. “SILENCE, I WILL TALK, YOU WILL LISTEN,” Hinata’s voice was almost booming, echoing through the great hall and the entire compound. Hiashi stayed quiet, think it wiser not to anger his daughter any further then she was.
“Is this what mother would have wanted, for you to treat the man I love with such contempt?” Hinata huffed, her Byakugan was in full force, “so what if he has the Nine-Tailed Demon that nearly destroyed this village inside of him, so what if he’s not the brightest or strongest, he’s a kind caring person.” She pointed at the kunai that just missed his mouth and neck by only centimeters, “use your Byakugan, tell me where that’s from,” she ordered him. He activated the Byakugan to examine the knife, “a knife from the Stone village?” he wondered. She nodded, “the very same one that was pulled out of my body on a mission only a few weeks ago, and only 2 ninja were there to help me, Sakura, and Naruto, who caught me before I could hit the ground.” She paused to catch her breath, then continued, “the ninja who hit me was about to sneak up and kill us, but Naruto jumped up and blew him away when the ninja called me a stupid little bitch.” Hiashi looked at his daughter with some respect; she was standing up to him, even willing to fight for the Uzumaki kid.
“You’re mother would be proud for both of you,” he hummed, “however, it is my duty to protect you, as well as Hanabi and Neji, I’m sorry, but this is a test to make sure is worthy of my daughter, and can maintain his ‘inner beast,’ after all, I am your father.” With that, she walked up to Hiashi, looked at him for a second, and then smacked him across the face. “You’re going to hurt or even kill the man I love, don’t you dare call yourself my father, and do not call me your daughter,” and with that, she took the Kunai out of the wall and stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind her. Hyuga Hiashi frowned and rubbed his wound, wondering how just how much confidence she has gotten from her ‘lover.’

Naruto and Neji were standing in the woods alone; Naruto was slowly adjusting to the weights attached to his arms, legs, and chest. “Remember,” Neji explained, “the main blind spot of the Byakugan is just behind the base of the user’s neck, so you need to have good aim, are you ready?” Naruto nodded, and Neji took his stance. Naruto made the first move, he was slowed down significantly by the additional weight, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as the first few hours he had them on. He got behind Neji and threw the kunai, to which Neji simply used a ‘heavenly spin’, but his aim was improving. *It’s only be a week, and he is becoming much stronger and faster* he thought as he spun again, not even seeing the kunai this time. Naruto and Neji kept doing this for an hour or so, and they took a break. “She always makes the best sandwiches,” Naruto smiled, eating his with great content. Neji nodded, “Hinata has always been great at making food,” he said, taking a bite of his. “Naruto, I’m must say you’re growing at a rapid pace, you may beat him with easy by the time we are finished,” the blonde Chunnin nodded peacefully as he finished his sandwich. Neji soon finished his, and after about 20 minutes, they were up and moving again, training until it was dark out.

Sakura went into Naruto’s room and brought another wet towel to put over his aching muscles, she knew if Hiashi challenged him that he’d be pushing himself. Hinata walked in to check up on her boyfriend, asking Sakura how he was. “Well, knowing him, he’s going to be a lot stronger and faster in another month. Plus, he’s not nearly as sore as he has been over the past month,” Sakura gave Hinata her report on her ‘patient’s’ wellbeing. Hinata smiled, she knew her dad didn’t stand a chance in this fight, over the past month; Naruto has pushed himself under Neji, Kakashi, and Maito Gai’s strict and rather harsh training. Some days, he had to be dragged back to the house by one of the 3 men, completely exhausted after all his hard work. “I hear he’s going to be learning about the Chakra Gates tomorrow from Kakashi,” Sakura mumbled, remembering the first time she had seen Lee execute the powerful fighting attack after he opened his 4th gate. “I hope he’ll be ok,” was all Hinata could reply with, knowing he would be after what she’s seen him do. *he’ll be fine…* she thought.

Hiashi was still having restless nights after what his daughter said a month and a half ago. *She was going to fight me to protect him,* he thought, wondering if he was doing the right thing. He had taken a little bit of the medicine Tsunade gave him, hoping he could get some sleep. He pulled out a picture of him holding his new born daughter, Hinata. “I will always love you, my daughter,” he said, kissing the picture before dozing off.

Naruto was all ready to go, the fight was only a few days away, but he still had a little more training left to do. He sat on the edge of the bed, gently rubbing Hinata’s exposed belly, smiling that his baby was growing slowly but surely inside of her. She opened her eyes and smiled, “morning Naruto-kun.” They had their morning kiss, and he continued to rub her belly, “just think, a whole other life is growing inside of you,” he said, and both of them started smiling. “Going to train a bit more honey?” she asked her very strong man, to which he nodded, “I hope you can be home by 6, I invited Ayame over so I could learn to make ramen.” He just licked his lips, thinking of his favorite dish made him giggle. They kissed once more and he left, for a short while, he would be fighting for the 2 things that were most important to him, his soon-to-be wife, and his child.

(go listen to living on a prayer and read some of the training sequences again, I swear I have a knack for making Montague that are tuned to the 80’s. anyways, the fight is coming, will Hiashi beat Naruto, will Naruto win his girlfriend’s hand, will Hinata say goodbye to the man she loves, stay tuned to find out!)
