Kodi came to visit Koroshi one day, a couple of weeks later. He had taken a liking to her, as a close friend. “So, you can control the tailed beasts too with your voice?” “Well, with my voice and a special jutsu, of course.” “That’s the same as me!” Koroshi laughed. They watched Koroshi’s sons run around and play, pretending to be fighting to the death in a struggle against some invisible enemy. “You have cute boys, Koroshi-san.” “Thank you.” “The white-haired one belongs to Itachi Uchiha, correct? And the black haired one to Orochimaru.” “Yes, that is right.” “I see. It must be hard on you.” Koroshi nodded. “We have a special bond, you and I. I feel like I’ve known you for many years, as a best friend or something. You are much like me. My family was killed by my village, too. When I found out, I was devastated. But I had already spent so much time serving my village as a ninja, I just didn’t see the point in abandoning it. There were so many innocent people who had nothing to do with it at all, good people. Babies, children, they had nothing to do with killing my family.” “I know how you feel.” “That’s what I mean. We understand one another.” They smiled, and went back to watching her sons play, thinking about this special bond that they seemed to share with one another.
