I'm gonna reply to a reviewer right off the bat
Saiou-chan Yup he's absolutly adorable. The Hyuga I paired Gaara up with is actually a result of a vote that I set up for 'Why Orange?' on fanfiction.net, the one that got the most votes is the one who I paired up with Gaara. Ya know I've only heard the suggestion for a GaaHanabi pairing once before from Anon.(tilts head to the side)That might be pretty damned cool.
Okay now refering to the vote from the other site the winning Hyuga got 34 votes and the losing one got 9(winces) The loser has my sympathy.
Itachi:You're too compassionate.
T.W.:And you're too callous, why do I like you again?
Sai:Because he's sexy as hell.
T.W.:Un, true. Why do you and Itachi have a blanket on your laps?

Naruto arrived at Suna's gates at sundown to find Temari waiting for him, "Oi Temari-chan!"
She looked at him and did a double-take, "Naruto?"
"Yeah, who'd you think it was?"
"Someone who's not wearing orange. What happened to the jumpsuit?"
"I just decided it was time for a change. What does it look bad on me or something?"
Temari shook her head while inspecting Naruto's outfit. He was wearing a sleeveless dark green shirt with a gold sun embroidered on the right shoulder and a pair of faded black jeans.
"You look fine. Come on, Gaara's waiting, he was worried when you didn't arrive yesterday."
Naruto winced, "Sorry, I lost track of time."
"That's not like you."
"Yeah I know. I've had some really good days lately and I forgot my birthday was almost here."
Temari raised her eyebrow. She knew that Naruto was usually very mindful of how close his birthday was, so that he could be in Suna before Kaonoha started their festival. 'Those days must have been incredible for him to lose track of time like that.'
"So how's Gaara been?"
"He still has trouble sleeping. The years of terror aren't easy for him to get over. I hope that Neji decides to visit soon. Gaara sleeps easy when he's here."
Naruto smiled, "There's a lot of red tape to sort through, but I think Neji plans to move here."
"Oh Kami-sama please. Gaara needs to sleep, he gets cranky when he doesn't."
Naruto just laughed and followed Temari through Suna.

Sasuke sat on his roof, brooding. I hope he got there safely. I should have asked him to send me a message.' He got up, thinking that since there was no way he would be able to sleep tonight then he might as well do some training.

Gaara looked up as Temari entered his office with Naruto.
"Hey Gaara!"
Gaara got up, allowing Naruto to glomp him.
"Naruto. You look well."
"Yeah I'm doing good. I'm sorry I'm late, so much has happened recently that I lost track."
"Why don't you tell me about it over dinner."
"Sounds great, I'm starved."
Gaara smiled and led the way to the dining room.
Naruto was gesturing wildly as he told Gaara about the shopping expedition and made the sand user laugh at his description of some of the things Sakura had picked out. By the time dinner was over, he had finished telling Gaara about the fight with Sasuke before he'd left.
"Then he apologized in his teme way, telling me to be careful on on my way here."
"Why didn't you just tell him that I'm involved with Neji?"
"Cause that's your and Neji's business. Neither one of you have made your relationship public knowledge, so I figured you wouldn't appreciate me telling Sasuke just to quell his jealousy."
Gaara shook his head, "You always put others before yourself. Neji and I aren't trying to keep it a secret and I doubt Uchiha would have spread it over Konoha. You could have told him. How has Neji been?"
"He's okay but I can tell he misses you. I think he's been trying to cut through all the family politics and red tape to move here."
Gaara leaned back, letting a thrill pass through him at the thought of Neji moving to Suna.
"So do you think Uchiha care for you?"
Naruto blinked, surprised by Gaara's question, "Huh?"
"Do you think Uchiha cares about you, cares enough for it to turn to love."
Naruto closed his eyes and thought over everything Sasuke had said and done since he'd made his intentions clear. He opened his eyes and looked Gaara squarely in the eye, "Yes he cares."
"Then I wish you the best."
"Thanks Gaara."
They got up and went to their own rooms and Naruto fell a sleep thinking of Sasuke.

next day: the 9th
Sasuke watched the people of Konoha laughing and having fun at the festival. 'How many of them have ever treated Naruto cruelly? How few of them realize how much they owe him?' Ever since the day had begun, Sasuke had been thinking about the villager's treatment of Naruto, and his temper was getting shorter and shorter with every hour.
"Sasuke-kun?"
He looked over his shoulder at Sakura, "Hn?"
"I know it's hard to see them celebrating when they treat Naruto so bably, but he wouldn't want you getting angry about it. You know, since the Rookie 9 and Team guy found out about the Kyuubi, we've all gotten together during the festival and told stories about Naruto and sort of celebrated his birthday. Why don't you join us this year?"
Sasuke nodded and got up to follow Sakura.

Sasuke was on his way home when he saw some people at Naruto's apartment and he went over to investigate. Three men were inside the apartment murmering to each other, "The fox brat isn't here again."
"So? Let's just trash the place before one of it's friends sees us."
Sasuke burst in, "Too late."

T.W.:Oh My Squishy(grabs tissues for nosebleed) So that's why you had tha blanket draped over your laps.(clears throat) Well people, this chapter was mostly filler and I'm worried that it sucked so let me know what you think okay? Ja ne!
