more trouble starts
Hello to everyone who is still with me. I am so happy that you like it enough to keep on reading. remember, reviews are my friend. Ja Ne~ Anubis!
Sasuke glared at the girl for the tenth time that hour. She was annoying, whiny, clingy and worst of all, butt ugly. But, for some reason, she was very important to that village. “What do you want from me?” he snapped finally.
The girl looked at him and simpered, “I want you to be my husband.”
Naruto fell over laughing. “You do realize he is gay, right?” he said breathlessly, trying to stop the laughing, “He has a boyfriend back in Konoha.”
Sasuke then switched his glare to Naruto. “Leave Neji out of this,” he growled.
The girl simply glared at the both of them. “Well, then he has to leave him,” she said, “My daddy told me I could marry whomever I wanted, and I chose Sasuke.”
Naruto only laughed harder. “We could introduce her to Neji, see how long that lasts.”
Sasuke sighed. “Come on, loser; let’s get her to the village, before I do something I will regret.”
Neji woke up and reached over for Sasuke. When he felt empty space, he closed his eyes and covered his head with a blanket. He was about to uncover again when he heard a noise. Sitting still, he listened as the noise moved outside of his window. “Shikamaru!” he called, “Kakashi-sensei!”
Shikamaru sat up groggily when he heard Neji call. Kakashi was already to the door. “Neji, what’s wrong?”
“I can hear something outside of my window,” Neji said, “It is moving around.”
Kakashi walked outside and found a Hyuuga branch member trying to climb into the window. “Well, well, well,” Kakashi said, “Looks like you guys won’t quit.”
The man dropped down and nodded to Kakashi. “I was sent by the Hyuuga elders to retrieve Neji,” he said, “By any means possible.”
“Do you realize that doing this could shock him into a relapse?’ Kakashi said menacingly, “He could have fallen, hit his head, then you would have had to deal with Sasuke Uchiha.”
The clansman swallowed noticeably and nodded to Kakashi before running off. The Copy nin walked inside and looked at Shika. “Hyuuga clan is sending kidnappers now.”
Shika sighed. “We will need to warn Neji and Sasuke,” he said, “I have a feeling that this will not be the last time they try a stunt like this.”
Kakashi nodded in agreement and walked towards the bedroom. “Neji, it is Kakashi,” he said, “Are you all right?”
Neji jumped at the sound of the voice, but calmed himself and got off the bed. He grabbed the cane sitting next to the bed and made his way to the door. Opening it, he put his hand out to Kakashi and nodded. “Yes, I am fine,” he said as the older nin took his hand, “Why, what was out there?”
“A branch member,” Kakashi said, “He was here to take you back.”
Kakashi led the brunette to the couch and helped him sit down. Neji sighed when he sat and then turned his face towards Kakashi’s voice. “They really think that I am going to be worth something now, huh?” he said, sarcastically.
Shikamaru laughed. “Yeah,” he said, “You will be, just not to them.”
The Hyuuga leaned back and closed his eyes. He sat still for a moment, then sat up. “Would you two like some breakfast?” he asked, “As long as someone is in there to help me, I can cook, I figured that out a few days ago.”
Kakashi smiled, even though Neji could not see it. “Sure, I will take you up on that,” he said, “But, I can’t cook, can you Shika?”
“Yup,” the shadow nin said, “Usually it is too troublesome, but for this, I will help out.”
Neji grinned and stood up, taking his cane in one hand. “You know, this actually helps out a lot,” he said, “I have not run into anything lately.”
Kakashi and Shikamaru laughed. “That’s a good thing,” Shika said, “Come on, let’s go and make breakfast.”
Sasuke ground his teeth as the girl continued to squawk at him. Even Naruto was looking fairly annoyed at the girl. He tried to think of Neji’s calming voice, but every time he would tune her out, she would shake him or talk louder.
“Lady, listen, you are really an annoying bitch,” Sasuke said, “I will do my job and get you to Konoha, but after that, I never want to see your face again.”
She stopped walking and stared at the Uchiha. “What is so good about this Neji bitch that you wouldn’t think about marrying me?” she asked, “My father is the leader of my village and he is entering into negotiations with your Hokage for the marriage.”
Sasuke clenched his fists and closed his eyes. When he opened them, they were a deep red. She stepped back with a gasp. “You have a bloodline trait?” she asked.
Sasuke took a step towards her, menacingly. “Listen to me right now,” he hissed, “Don’t you ever speak about him that way again.”
“Or what?”
“I will have to kill you,” he said simply, “Trust me, I wouldn’t have a problem with it either.”
“You wouldn’t dare,” she stuttered.
She looked at Naruto and he shrugged. “You just may as well be quiet the rest of the trip,” he said, “He is dead serious.”
The girl nodded and wisely kept her mouth shut the rest of the trip.
Shikamaru watched as Neji made breakfast. The Hyuuga made a simple breakfast, but he was doing it well. The shadow nin only had to help him get the ingredients. ‘Sasuke always changes things in here,” Neji complained, “I don’t think that he wants me to cook.”
Shika laughed and then reached over to turn on the stove. “I think that he is nervous that you would burn the place down. “
Neji stuck out his lower lip and laughed as well. “I know, but he cooks better than I do anyway.”
Kakashi walked in and watched the two nin for a moment. “Sasuke should be back later today,” he said, “Maybe you should show him what you can do.”
Neji jumped a little, and then nodded. “He may even try to keep the kitchen in a way that I can find everything.”
Shika and Kakashi agreed.
Neji reached down towards the food and left his hand over the heat for a moment. “The food is done,” he said, “Come and get it.”
Shika looked over and indeed, the eggs and bacon were done just right. “Damn, you are good at that,” he said, “Who taught you to use your chakra like that?”
“Tsunade, at my last session,” he said, “In fact, Kakashi, could you walk with me to today’s, it is in about three hours.”
“Sure, where?”
“The hospital.”
“All right,” the Copy nin said, “Do I have to wait for you?”
“Actually, you have to be in there with me,” he said, “Sasuke missed the last two due to training.”
He lowered his eyes. “Though, I think he was just making an excuse not to go.”
Kakashi rolled his eyes. “Neji, if that were the case, he would never make an effort to go.”
“I know,” Neji answered in a whisper.
Sasuke and Naruto trudged into the village, the girl following behind. As they were walking to the Hokage’s office, they saw Neji and Kakashi walking the same direction. “Neji!” Sasuke called.
The Hyuuga turned his head towards the voice. Sasuke walked over to him and Kakashi, taking Neji’s hand. Neji started to pull his hand back, until Sasuke began to talk. “Neji, I’m back.”
Neji dropped his cane and put his arms around Sasuke’s neck. “I missed you,” he said.
The girl glared over at the couple, then looked at Naruto. “Is that Neji?”
“Yup,” the kit answered, “Isn’t he pretty?”
“I hate him.”
“I will meet you at the apartment,” Sasuke said, “I have to get the charge to the Hokage’s office.”
Neji nodded. “I need to talk to you after ward anyway,” he said.
“Is something wrong?”
“It could prove to be problematic,” Neji whispered.
Sasuke nodded. He walked back over to Naruto and their charge. “Let’s get this over with,” he said, “I have missed enough of his therapies.”
The girl looked over at Neji and laughed. “You are choosing a cripple over me?” she said loudly, “Perhaps you don’t know what a whole person can do.”
Neji stopped walking for a moment and then turned slightly. His white eyes almost focused on the voice. Sasuke had begun to say something when Neji said, “I will have you know, the crippled or not, I am still capable of tearing you apart,”
He then turned and continued walking. She turned to Naruto, in anger. “Are you going to do something?” she asked, “He just threatened me.”
Naruto smiled. “The Hyuugas do not threaten, that was a promise.”
Sasuke grabbed her arm and pulled her to the Hokage’s office. Laughing out loud at the look on the girl’s face, Naruto followed.
Sasuke glared at the girl for the tenth time that hour. She was annoying, whiny, clingy and worst of all, butt ugly. But, for some reason, she was very important to that village. “What do you want from me?” he snapped finally.
