The council meeting came to order and Naruto smiled like a hunter-nin standing over his mark. These old bats were never going to know what hit them. The room quieted as he survey the members. They had been having these meeting for a month and the Rokudaime had never looked happy to be at one.
Homura stood and spoke to the Hokage, “It appears you have a choice in mind Hokage-sama. You seem to be happy to let us know and we’re happy to hear it after a month of waiting.”
“I do Homura-san,” Naruto grinned widely. “I have made my choice.” The room waited quietly. “I choose, Uchiha Sasuke,” he proclaimed blatantly.
The room remained silent but for the poor man in the back, who had taken the moment to stick a sweet bun in his mouth. He coughed loudly, willing the object to become dislodged from his throat.
Homura scan the room then looked back at the blonde. “I’m sure you jest or we heard you wrong Hokage-sama. But I thought we heard you say Uchiha Sasuke?”
“You hear right,” Naruto confirmed leaning back in his chair. “We’ve been in a relationship for years.”
“He’s not taking this seriously!” “Did he say a man!” “No wonder the Uchiha clan is not being rebuilt!” “We need to make a choice for him!” “We need an heir!”
Koharu stood and raised her hand for the room to be silent. They would not get anywhere yelling at this stubborn Hokage. He was too much like the one sitting at this right. “Hokage-sama, the council does not care about your hobbies but you do understand the reason you need another wife? You need an heir, Hokage-sama. You family is a great asset to the village.”
“Then you should be thrilled to have two great families joined,” Naruto continued smiling as he sat his chin on his folded hands.
“But Hokage-sama, without a child what is the point? You are the last from both your families and you are both male,” she pointed out.
“That’s where you assume too much Koharu-san. Uchiha-san is already with child, with my child,” he smiled proudly.
“But that’s...”
“It’s true,” Tsunade declared standing. “I did the tests myself. Uchiha Sasuke will indeed have the Hokage’s child in eight months.
A rumble of murmur spread through the room. The Hokage’s child had already been conceived. They could not let the Hokage’s heir be born without a marriage.
Homura cleared his throat and addressed Naruto, “The word of you and Lady Tsunade is not to be doubted. If you have a child on the way you must take the Uchiha as your wife as soon as possible. It’s a bit odd, but so are many things in a shinobi’s life.” Everyone began to gather their belonging but Homura spoke up one more time. “Hokage-sama. Could the council have your word this is the last time you request to be married because you have gotten someone with child?”
Naruto smiled at the elder. “Absolutely,” he smiled. “Regardless what happens, you will never get me to marry another person as long as I live.”

Sasuke grumbled a gruff morning to Sakura as he entered the sitting room and tossed himself on the chaise. “Sakura I think you should do a check up on me,” he moaned as he grasped his stomach once more.
Sakura crossed the room quickly and kneeled by the chaise. “Why, what’s wrong,” she asked concerned as she looked him over.
“I’ve been throwing up for a week now. And not all day, just when I wake up. And...” He turned a little red and looked the other way.
“And what?” she probed.
“And my chest is sore,” he mumbled. He pushed against the tender flesh to emphasize his point. “It really hurts and I’m tired all the time!”
“Maybe you’re just over working yourself,” she offered. “Too much exercise and all that. Let’s get you some tea, that will help.” She walked back to the kotatsu and brought the pot of tea back to the chaise.
“Yeah, maybe that’s it,” he agreed. “I have been doing a lot of push ups lately.” Sakura nodded and handed him his tea before getting her own. “You know,” Sasuke mused. “If I didn’t know better I would think I was pregnant.”
Sakura spit the tea from her cup and looked back up at the Uchiha. “Pppregnant. What would make you say that?” she squeaked.
Sasuke looked at her odd reaction and raised his brow. “I know it’s a funny idea but you don’t have to spit your tea everywhere. A guy being pregnant,” he scoffed. “I’m just saying it kind of matches what you were going through. I was in the house when...” He looked up at her tight face. “Oh, I’m sorry Sakura. I wasn’t thinking.” He patted her back awkwardly as he looked around the room for some help. Where was Naruto? That’s it, change the subject! “So where is Naruto?”
“Oh, he’s at a council meeting,” Sakura commented distracted while she cleaned the tea from the floor.
“He sure has been going to a lot of those recently. Maybe it’s to talk about that new wife,” he scoffed.
Sakura looked up quickly to Sasuke, “You know about that?”
“What?” Sasuke yelled as he drew his brows together. That had been his attempt at a joke. The rumor had been floating around for about a month that the Hokage was looking for a new wife, but he knew it couldn’t be true. Naruto would not do that to either of them. “I’m going to kill him,” Sasuke declared coldly as he turned toward his room to get some weapons.
“No wait, Sasuke. I don’t think you understand,” Sakura cried, grabbing him before he could leave the room. He looked down and she knew by the determined look in his eyes that she only had moments to make her case. “It’s... well... I can’t have any more kids so...”
“And what the hell does that have to do with anything. Just because you can’t have kids doesn’t mean he can just throw you away and get a new wife. And what about me, what wife is going to agree to have me around! That fucking usuratonkachi said he loved us! How can he just get rid of us to have a child? I threw away my chance at rebuilding the clan to be with him!”
Sakura backed up as Sasuke shook with rage. That did not go as well as it could have. She heard the door click behind her and was torn between warning Naruto or stopping Sasuke. Sasuke turned and ran to his room, so she turned and ran to the door.
“Good news!” Naruto proclaimed as he entered his home. All the waiting and worrying was finally done. Now he was going to get to enjoy a happy family life. Sakura ran to him and he grabbed her in a tight hug. “They said yes, Sakura! The approved the marriage and my choice, now we just need to tell him.”
“Naruto wait. Sasuke, he...”
“Get out of the way Sakura,” Sasuke barked as he reentered the room, sharingan spinning. Sakura sighed and moved to the other side of the room. No way was she getting in the way of a hormonal Uchiha, this was really Naruto’s fault anyway for not explaining things ahead of time. “You cheating son of a bitch!” Sasuke yelled, jumping at Naruto with kunai in hand.
Naruto yelped and jumped out of the way, watching as Sasuke buried the kunai a good two inches into the wood. Sasuke glared back at him, red eyes spinning, as he tried to dislodge the weapon. Naruto’s eye grew wide as he ran to the other side of the room. “He’s trying to kill me!”
“That seems to be the idea,” Sakura stated calmly as she sipped her tea.
“Get back here you fucking bastard,” Sasuke yelled from the door. “How dare you do this to Sakura and me!”
“Seriously kill me! What the hell is going on!” Naruto yelled as he dodged the kunai thrown at his head after Sasuke has successfully removed it from the hard wood.
“He found out that you’ve been going to the council meetings to get a new wife,” Sakura explained while moving the kotatsu to the far side of the room. She didn’t want her favorite piece of furniture to get ruined in one of their spats.
“And this is his reaction?” Naruto called in disbelief as he sprinted across the room to avoid Sasuke’s lunge at his throat. Now devoid of weapon he seemed determined to strangle the Hokage.
Settled back with her tea, at a safe distance, Sakura replied, “No, he thinks your marrying someone else.”
“Why didn’t you tell him different?” Naruto squeaked as he managed to catch Sasuke’s hand and twist it behind his back.
“Does he look like he’s listening?” she huffed as she turned to face the other way, letting him know she was officially out of the conversation.
Sasuke slipped to the floor leaving Naruto staring at the empty shirt sleeve his was holding a second before Sasuke swept his feet out from under him. He punched toward Naruto’s head but only came in contact with the floor as Naruto rolled away. “Stay still you weaselly, cheating bastard!” Sasuke roared.
“Sasuke, you have to calm down,” Naruto cajoled from the other side of a couch. “The baby.”
Sasuke vaulted over the couch and finally grabbed hold of Naruto’s neck. “There is no baby, you son of a bitch. That’s why you’re leaving us, because Sakura can’t have anymore kids,” the raven spat.
“Not Sakura, you Sasuke,” Naruto chocked out. He tried to pry Sasuke’s hand loose but the man was serious.
“What?” Sasuke growled looking at Naruto’s rapidly reddening face.
“You’re pregnant Sasuke... Me... Tsunade... Sasuke... Please calm down... The baby...” Naruto felt the edges of his vision growing dark. Oh gods, Sasuke was going to kill him!
“Baby?” Sasuke uttered with a confused look. His hand loosened around Naruto’s neck and he took an unsteady step backward.
Naruto felt the blood rush back to his head as Sasuke released his hold. He coughed and took choking breaths of oxygen back into his body. He saw Sasuke’s eyes go wide right before they rolled back into his head. He tried to reach out but he couldn’t get his body to move while it was still trying to get air back into his lungs.
Sakura appeared behind the raven and broke his fall before he landed on the floor. “Help me get him on the chaise. I thought I was going to have to knock him out before he fainted. You better never cheat on him, I think he really wanted you dead.”
“I’ll keep that in mind,” Naruto said with a coarse voice, as they dragged Sasuke’s dead weight to prop him up on the chaise. Sakura used pillows to elevate his feet then focused her chakra to check his vitals. Naruto rubbed his sore neck and looked down at the unconscious man. He had felt the point when Sasuke might have carried out his threat but there was no way he could hurt the other man. Even if it was just Sasuke he could never hurt him, he had never been able to, but with the baby... There was no way he could fight back, he couldn’t loose another baby.
Sasuke moaned and the pair looked at him expectantly as his eyes fluttered open. He looked at the blue and green eyes watching him intently and rubbed his forehead as he sat up. “What? I just had the weirdest dream,” he shook his head in disbelief. “I dreamt that I was pregnant.” He looked up and froze at Naruto’s nervous face. He looked down to see his throat bobbing. Why was Naruto’s throat red?
His eyes snapped back up to the blue. “It was a dream wasn’t it,” he asked dangerously.
“Listen, Sasuke,” Naruto stuttered. “The council wanted me to remarry since Sakura couldn’t have any more children, but I would never leave either of of you,” he hurried. “So I got them to let me have more than one wife and I thought if you could have my kids then I could marry you too. We’re practically married already,” he laughed tightly as he rubbed the back of his neck. “Then nothing would have to change in our house, right?”
“You thought it would be a good idea to knock up your MALE lover!” Sasuke screamed jumping off the chaise. “So you could marry me? So I could be come your second... Second... Oh my gods!” Sasuke looked at Sakura. “Wife,” he mumbled before falling backwards into Naruto’s arms.
“Why does he keep fainting!” Naruto screamed in panic.
“He’s pregnant, Naruto! And you’re taxing his already stressed nerves. You could have found another way to let him know about the baby. And what kind of proposal is ‘You’re pregnant so you’re going to marry me’?” Sakura scolded.
“Okay, so maybe I didn’t have this planed out the best, but what do I do now?” he questioned looking down at the raven in his arms.
Sakura sighed and ran a hand through her hair. “Well, for now move him into the room. I think it’s best if your not there the next time he wakes up. You’ll either make him faint again or he’ll finish the job he started earlier.”
Naruto frowned and carried his not so light load to lie out on his bed. Sakura let him make Sasuke as comfortable as possible before shooing him out the door. Naruto hit the wall as he walked into the sitting room. What happened to the ‘happy family life’ he was supposed to be enjoying right now. He sighed and shook his head. He might as well go to his office to start planning the wedding. It was happening whether Sasuke was happy about it or not.
