Chapter 9
(This is it, the stage is set, and the players take their roles, the true battle begins. This is going to have the feel of a lot of Naruto fights, mostly the Rock Lee/Gaara and Neji/Naruto fights, however, it’s going to have a flavor all of it’s own. The breaks will be between the fight and some of the spectators talking, enjoy!)

Chapter 9: The True Battle of Love: Hyuga Hiashi vs. Uzumaki Naruto
Hinata walked with Neji to the Arena, she felt a little weighted down form her pregnancy, but she was not going to miss this for the world. “I heard that ninja and nobles from every nation are going to be here today,” the always calm Jounin commented. Nearly everyone in the world heard that the Head of the Hyuga Clan was going to be in an all out war with a Chunnin over his daughter’s hand in marriage. Kakashi was waiting for them at the gate; even he was too excited to miss this. “Kakashi-san, you’re here already?” Hinata asked the grey haired man, and Kakashi replied with, “oh, I just wanted to see how well Naruto would do.” He had went to bed and had gotten up much earlier, even having enough time to pay his respects to his old friend, Uchiha Obito. The 3 walked in, going to take their seats, for the biggest fight Konoha’s Arena had ever seen.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tsunade stood in the middle of the grassy, stony field, waiting for the 2 warriors to appear. She saw the other 4 Kage sitting in the Kage quarters of the Arena, as well as nobles and ninja from almost every village and nation. “All this to see one fight,” She chuckled, thinking of how monumental this fight really was. “Even I’m excited to see this, it will be the fight heard around the world.” She kept standing there, still waiting to call this fight.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kiba was walking to the arena with his faithful dog, Akamaru, hoping he could watch Naruto get beaten to death, “that’s what he gets for going after someone I love,” he grumbled. He saw Naruto as he turned the corner, and he stopped the blonde. “What is it Kiba?” Naruto said, he was so going to be late for his own fight. “Naruto,” Kiba grunted, he wanted to punch Naruto in the face; he loved Hinata passionately, and he was not going to let Naruto have her. “Why don’t you give up on Hinata, I mean, don’t you think she’d be better off with someone like me?” Naruto didn’t take long to throw Kiba to the wall after that comment, Akamaru was growling with contempt for Naruto’s behavior. Kiba tried to break free, but Naruto glared at him, and Kiba stopped, *these aren’t ‘I’m going to beat you up’ eyes, these eyes are hateful, he’s gonna kill me,” Kiba thought, getting very nervous. “Kiba, she loves me, I love her,” Naruto said, “if I didn’t, then I wouldn’t be going to fight with her father, just to be with her. If you even think of trying this again, I will hurt you.” Kiba didn’t have anything to say, Naruto continued, “if you really want to know how I feel, go to the arena, and while I’m mopping the floor with Hiashi, just remember ‘this is only for her wellbeing’,” he let go of Kiba and ran towards the arena, hoping not to be any more late then he was. Akamaru whimpered to his friend, hoping he was ok, and Kiba simply pet his dog, “let’s go Akamaru,” he jumped on his very large dog and the to set off for the Arena.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hiashi was walking into the field, ready for what was to come, Naruto already standing with Tsunade, waiting to hear the rules of the fight. “Well good, now that you’re both here, we can go over what’s going to happen,” Tsunade said, as both men stared each other down. “First, this is not a battle to the death, the first one to be unconscious will lose, second, there will be no use of forbidden Jutsu, or ones that would result in ones own death, finally, the match will begin as soon as I am off of the field, are you ready?” Both men nodded, and she used her Replacement Technique and left, and the battle had begun.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Naruto made the first move, charging at Hiashi, running up to punch him in the face. “All too easy,” Hiashi mumbled, ready to strike Naruto down with one blow. As soon as Naruto got within striking distance, Hiashi lunged at him using his Gentle Fist technique, hitting Naruto square in the chest. Hiashi’s fingers were in pain, and he was smacked across the face rather hard, and Naruto leaped back to where he was before. “But how?” Hiashi was puzzled as Naruto started laughing, “I can explain, you see, I’ve been training with Neji, Kakashi-sensei, and Gai-sensei for the past 2 months,” Naruto took off his jacket, and the entire crowd was in awe. Underneath Naruto’s trademark black and orange jacket were… training weights, on his arms, on his legs (he rolled up his pants to show those soon after,) and an armor-like one on his chest and back, and ‘The Necklace of the First Hokage’ was nowhere on his body.
Naruto unhooked the ones on his legs and grinned, raising them to each of his sides. “Hyuga Hiashi, I hope you’re ready,” Naruto giggled. “Ready for what?” Hiashi believe he was going to be fast, but not enough to cause the great leader any harm. Naruto giggled again, “to marry your daughter off to ‘The #1 Hyperactive Knucklehead of Konoha’,” Naruto dropped the weights and they cause the ground to shake, causing dust and debris to fly up as a yellow streak flew at the Hyuga warrior. Naruto started to make circles around Hiashi, and the elder man’s Byakugan powered eyes couldn’t keep up. He could see Naruto behind him suddenly; throwing something at him, not knowing what it was, but it didn’t matter, he used the ‘Greater Heavenly Spin’ to deflect it, hoping to keep the Ninja off of him for a second or so. “Damn, I missed,” Naruto pouted, and Hiashi saw the shuriken that was now lying on the ground besides him. “What exactly were you aiming for?” Hiashi asked, praying he didn’t know about ‘that’ weakness of his eyes. Naruto grinned again, seeing the even paler look on Hiashi’s face, “even with vision all around, it’s only 359 degrees, not 360.” *SHIT!* was all the elder ninja could think as his opponent disappeared again, preparing for the worst.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tsunade and Gaara were looking on as the fight was going, and Gaara groaned a little, “I feel bad for Hyuga Hiashi,” he noted. “Why? He was asking for this,” the snide woman remarked. Gaara just sighed, “Naruto’s beyond fast when it comes to learning new techniques, and if he found Hyuga’s flaw….” “Ah!” Tsunade realized what Gaara meant, knowing now that Hiashi was pretty much screwed, *well, he did demand to fight Naruto,* she shrugged as she thought that.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Naruto was getting irritated that, despite taking off the roughly 500 pounds of weight off of his legs, that he wasn’t getting a single hit on Hiashi. The Hyuga leader preformed another ‘Greater Heavenly Spin’ to defend himself, and Naruto got much further away then before, grabbing at the weights on his arms. “Fine, I guess I have no choice,” he said, dropping them to the ground and moving exponentially faster. Hiashi was able to keep up for most of it, but he was not fast enough to counter some of the punches and kick that were occurring, leaving parts of him bruised. *Then I mist hit with one blow,” he calmed himself, and made his move. ‘Force Palm Blast’ was executed onto Naruto’s chest, making the weighted armor start to crack and knocking the Chunnin into the wall. “Oh,” Naruto coughed a little, the maneuver only knocked the air out of his lungs. He stood up, trying to regain composure, as well as taking the large vest off, “well, if you want it so bad, CATCH!” Naruto said, spinning to get momentum in the nearly 1000 pounds of weight, throwing it straight at Hiashi. All the Jounin could do was dodge it, easily ducking to the side, but then, he was kicked straight into the air.
He could suddenly feel cloth wrapping around him, “NO, THIS CAN’T BE!!” He yelled, struggling to break free from the attack, but to no avail. Naruto grabbed his wrapped up opponent, spinning him down, ‘Front Lotus’ was used by Naruto. Hiashi crashed to the ground, and Naruto leaped back, standing very tall and straight. “But how, how are you not weakened?” Hiashi was demanding to know, standing up. He had focused some Chakra above his head to cushion some of the blow, for a normal Ninja, this task would have been difficult, but he was a Hyuga, a master of Chakra control. Naruto looked at him and sighed, “Well, if you must know,” Naruto took his shirt off and tossed it aside, and all that could be heard was the sound of shock filling the arena. Aside from some minor burns and scratches, there were 3 rather large burn marks in the form of a claw mark running straight across his chest. “During my training for this fight, Neji suggested I meditate so I could ‘take care of’ keeping the Kyuubi out of this, needless to say that the only thing that mutt is doing for his nemesis’ son is keeping me healed and giving me the extra chakra,” Naruto looked rather content with himself.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“No freaking way!” was all Ino and Sakura could say, sitting in a row with Hinata, Neji, Ten-ten, Gai and Kakashi (in that order from left to right.) Neji coughed a little and replied with, “he fought with the Kyuubi inside of himself, for a little while, I thought Naruto was going to die, but he managed to struggle and win against the beast.” The group looked in awe, except for Hinata, who was happy to see and hear the full strength of her man.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Naruto grinned as the second gate opened, letting him recover his energy. “So Hiashi, do you concede?” He asked, knowing that the older man would be too stubborn to quit. Hiashi replied by slowly getting back into his stance, “alright then,” he sighed, not really wanting to severely hurt the man, but he was giving Naruto very limited options. *This might put what Kakashi-sensei and Gai-sensei taught me to good use,* Naruto thought, slowly making seals with his hands, keeping an eye on Hiashi. Hiashi started to charge, knowing that it would keep him from whatever Jutsu he was going to use. Unfortunately, Naruto had hit this twelfth seal, and he said, “Ninja art: Forced Chakra Gate Release: 3rd, 4th, and 5th gates open.” His level of strength exploded inside of him, making his whole body turn red and be surrounded by nearly pure Chakra. Hiashi was so close to him, but realized that he was going to get hurt as he saw the red face, as well as the fact that Naruto disappeared before his very eyes. “Not good,” Hiashi groaned as he was kicked into the air again, feeling Naruto move right behind the Jounin at an alarming speed.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kiba was still in shock from seeing Naruto’s very injured body, let alone be was surprised that Naruto was going to use the ‘Reverse Lotus’ technique in only moments. “I thought I would be better for her, but he risked his heart, body, and even his own life for the sake of Hinata,” Kiba had to say it out loud so he could even think about it. “I’m a jerk for even thinking such greedy and distasteful thoughts, and all that would have just upset Hinata.” Kiba banged his head against the gate’s sturdy frame; he couldn’t enter the stands because of the size of his dog. Akamaru looked on, knowing his master was bothered by his own actions, whimpering a little for sympathy to his master, the hound master petted his dog behind the ear a little, “it’s okay Akamaru…. I’m ok….” He murmured, continuing to watch the fight.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hiashi was in a lot of pain, as the dreaded feeling of being tossed around in the air was not a pleasant one, not to mention he was being punched in the majority of his body. *He won’t win, even if I have to die, I will defend her…* he was getting frustrated as the speedy blonde ninja was, quite soundly, kicking his ass. Naruto was above Hiashi’s head; the 5 minutes or so of hitting the Hyuga was going on for way too long, ‘Sixth Gate open,” Naruto yelled, punching Hiashi in the stomach, sending him down. Hiashi sailed down until the cloth snapped him back a little, knowing the blow was going to hurt a lot. Naruto pulled the rope back, bringing his opponent right to him as he kicked Hiashi into the ground, ‘Reverse Lotus’ Naruto yelled again, hitting the Jounin with tremendous force.
The impact left Hiashi stunned and very, very injured, and Naruto stood before the fallen man. *Gah, that kinda hurt,* Naruto thought, the kick had slightly injured his right leg, he was very glad he had the healing abilities he had due to the Kyuubi’s energy. “DO YOU CONCEDE?” Naruto’s voice boomed throughout the Arena, but, Hyuga Hiashi, stood, slowly and painfully taking his stance. “HIASHI, DON’T MAKE ME DO THIS, IT’S BAD ENOUGH THAT WE ARE FIGHTING, DON’T MAKE ME HURT YOU.” “Ha,” Hiashi laughed, “what, are you afraid that you’ve hurt me demon?” “FINE, YOU LEAVE ME NO OTHER CHOICE,” Naruto make 3 hand seals, and opened his seventh gate, the gate of insanity.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Choji was on his 20th or 30th bag of chips, downing each one down like it was candy, and Shikamaru sighed. “This fight is becoming troublesome even to watch,” the lazy ninja commented, and Temari just snuggled his arm. “What’s troublesome is what would happen if he lost control now,” the Sand Kunoichi added. Both knew enough about the Chakra Gates to know that the 7th lived up to it’s name, called insanity not only because it was closer to the reproductive organs, where most get their irrational thought from due to their hormones, but because this gate had so much strength to it that it led to making the user of it completely insane, destroying villages, or even the desire to use the 8th gate, death. “Nah,” Shikamaru sighed, “I think we’ll be fine from that.” Choji grabbed another bag, and started to eat every last chip.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 3 Kage were in an uproar, praying that the Uzumaki child wasn’t in the same league as his father, but Gaara and Tsunade knew that it was worth it. “Since he has used the Kyuubi’s power before, the 7th gate should be nothing to him,” Gaara scoffed, knowing what it’s like to be in control, and being controlled. “And having someone as powerful and feared as Minato would be nice to hear about later,” Tsunade grinned, remembering Naruto’s father for a flash before continuing to watch the climax of this legendary fight.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Naruto walked calmly up to Hiashi, who was currently in a great deal of pain. *The next move will be the end for me,* Hiashi thought, knowing that this boy was strong and brave. Naruto stood in front of him while raising his fist to the Hyuga lord’s throat, and Hiashi closed his eyes, awaiting the finishing move. “One finger is all I’ll need,” Naruto claimed with a very monotone voice, finger flicking Hiashi’s chin. That one move sent Hiashi’s body flying upward, as Naruto was waiting for him in the air. Naruto kept changing his location, on all sides of Hiashi’s now limp body, and Hiashi was starting to feel a lot more pain. Naruto’s speed was so fast, it was almost breaking the sound barrier, but what Hiashi couldn’t get was why the blows hurt so much.
*It feels like…. Chakra,* he thought, and the crowd of the arena started to notice what Naruto was making, a ‘Rasengan’, that was about 6 meters in diameter. When the blue sphere was finished, Naruto stood above it, with 2 fully formed ‘Greater Rasengan’ in each hand. All Naruto mumbled were the words ‘Twisted Lotus,’ and he hit the ball of energy with the ones in his hands. The sphere with Hiashi inside spun and flew around, decreasing in size and flying all around, like a filled balloon with a hole in it. Crash landing into the wall, just in front of the spectators, Hiashi was bleeding and bruised, out of breath and tired from the long fight. Naruto now stood in front of him, holding his right arm with intensity as another ‘Greater Rasengan’ formed in his right hand. “Give up?” Naruto asked, as his opponent nodded, then collapsed. Naruto shut the chakra gates inside of him and collapses as well from the amount of energy he used.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hiashi awoke to the sight of Naruto at the foot of his hospital bed, looking straight into the injured man’s eyes. “Look, I know you love your daughter very much, but so do I.” Naruto spoke, and all Hiashi did was listen. “I want to become Hokage, but not if the father of the woman I’m going to marry despises me so.” Naruto walked over to the side of Hiashi’s bed, and extended a hand, “please, let’s just work it out, for her sake?” Hiashi groaned a little from the pain he had endured, physically and mentally, and then said “I hope my Grandchildren are not going to look as goofy as you.” Naruto covered his mouth, trying to suppress his laughter, but his willpower couldn’t hold and he burst into a loud roar of laughter. “Well, with my blonde hair, and her velvet eyes, that’s gonna be a little hard to do,” and both men started laughing, only for Hiashi to stop because of his injuries.
The 2 men agreed to be on good terms with each other, just as long as neither one decided to bring harm onto Hinata, in any way, shape, or form. Then they started to talk about what had been happening in the past 2 months.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Holy crap, this chapter is just over 6 pages long. I hope I made it epic enough to get some rather interesting thoughts raised. How did Hiashi train, why was Hinata so outspoken with her father, and how the fuck did Naruto win against the tailed beast inside of him? Well, you’ll just have to stay tuned for the next chapter)
