Summary: In which Sakura becomes confused.

Pairing: Sakura x Karin, implied Sasuke x Naruto, and Kakashi x Obito.

A/N: This is ‘’Convictions’, the third vignette I’ve made. Requested by overlordofnobodies. Here’s the ninth short story.

 

Sugar And Spice

 

Sakura watched in mild irritation as her two best friends flirted shamelessly with another, completely ignoring her. She was the only straight one at their table, seeing as her English teacher Kakashi was talking to a man sitting at the table next them. She thought his name might’ve been Obito, but it really didn’t matter to her.

The waitress came over to their table, setting a glass down that was filled with a red liquid.

“Compliments of the young lady over there.” The scantily-clad woman smiled, motioning to a slim red head at the bar that was twirling a straw in her own glass and watching their exchange. Sakura accepted the glass and took a sip, humming at the pleasant taste. She didn’t know what it was, but it was her new favorite drink.

The girl was still watching her, a smile curving her lips now. She wore black rimmed glasses that accented her eyes, and a black top that showed off her cleavage to everyone in the bar.

“What the hell.” Sakura shrugged, leaving her three blissfully unaware friends behind to talk to this strange woman. “Thanks for the drink. It’s really good.” She said as a greeting, sliding into the stool next to her. “My name’s Sakura, by the way.” She stuck her hand out and the red head shook it.

“Karin.” She said coyly, run her eyes over Sakura’s lithe form, licking her lips appreciatively. “So, are you with one of them or alone?”

Sakura looked back behind her, where Naruto and Sasuke had started to publicly grope each other. They must’ve been drunk all ready.

“They’re together, actually. So yeah, I am alone.” She smiled wryly, sipping more of her drink. Karin slyly moved her stool closer, brushing thin fingers up the pink haired girl’s back. Sakura took another sip of her drink, feeling bubbly. She giggled when Karin’s fingers tickled her sides, and leaned forward to grip some of the girl’s hair in his fist.

Karin responded to the touch in kind, licking her lips again.

“So you’re here without a date?” The red haired girl whispered, brushing their lips together chastely. Sakura didn’t push her away, and both girls knew what was coming next. In the span of a few seconds, Sakura wondered if she was already drunk and Karin bit into her bottom lip. The gasp that left her mouth was still sober.

Sakura opened her mouth to the other girl’s tongue, drowning in cherry-flavored lips and Karin’s too-warm mouth. This was an odd situation. She was under the impression that she was as straight as they came, but this kiss was giving her goose bumps. She thought Naruto and Sasuke had been tactless, feeling each other up when Karin’s fingers were already slipping under her skirt and she liked it.

“Holy shit, Sakura-chan’s kissing a girl!” Naruto exclaimed over the music, the sound of a chair hitting the ground before Naruto was at her side, basically drooling. Sakura just put her hand over his face and tangled her fingers further in Karin’s hair. She made sure to get the girl’s number before they left for the night.
