So, I take it no one's reviewing because of my Sakura bashing? O.o


But don't worry! I have a reason! So don't abandon me~!


Sorry it took so long to update, life has kept me busy, not to mention, I just wasn't happy with the chapter so I was waiting until a muse came to me and I could write more for the chapter.

The minute Naruto’s head touched the pillow; he was out like a light. Although, that blissful sleep didn’t last for long since when Naruto’s eyes opened, he was once again standing in front of the Kyuubi. The Kyuubi cackled “It’s about time brat.” Naruto glared at the Kyuubi and said sounding rather annoyed “I need my sleep! What do you want!” The Kyuubi offered a full toothed grin that was more sinister than friendly “What do I want? What do you want brat? To become stronger? To be on equal footing with that brat you love so much?” Naruto perked at that, and he nodded his head suspisciously.

“Then shut up brat and let’s start training you.”

Naruto nodded his head and said warily “Fine, what am I supposed to do first?”

“First, you need to use all your chakra until you only have demon chakra left.”

“How am I going to do that Kyuubi? That’s fucking impossible! I could go on for like….. days!”

“Come here brat.” Naruto slowly approached Kyuubi’s cell, wary of the demon. When Kyuubi touched Naruto, Naruto’s breath came out in a ‘Whoosh!’ as he felt all of his chakra gone. Yet, at the same time, he could feel a chakra there, at the back of his body, he just couldn’t reach it. Kyuubi released Naruto and said “You can feel it brat?” Naruto mutely nodded. Kyuubi said “touch it.” Naruto sat down and focused inwards, trying to grab a hold of that thing that was itching for his touch, reaching out to him, as if coaxing him on like a lover.

But it felt like it was impossible! As the hour went on Naruto had every little success in trying to reach it. Glaring at the Kyuubi, Naruto snarled “Why can’t I reach it?” ’Patience brat, if you are calm and focused, only then will you be able to touch it. Try again.’ With a few more sentences of grumbling, Naruto resumed his posture of meditation and went back to trying to reach that annoying chakra that seemed to be just beyond his reach.

Naruto spent most of the day sitting there, trying to reach it, until finally he gave up and snarled angrily at Kyuubi “Dammit! It isn’t working.” The Kyuubi said sounding annoyed at Naruto’s lack of patience and his whining “Come here then brat!”

Naruto approached the cell, coming close enough for the Kyuubi to reach out and touch. In response, the Kyuubi lashed out with its’ chakra, sending Naruto crashing into the wall behind him with an incredible amount of force. Naruto was on his feet in a heartbeat, the chakra he couldn’t touch before overwhelming him, filling every pore of his skin. Naruto’s body had reacted in self preservation, and now Naruto could finally use it! It was amazing! Naruto felt like he was breathing in power, or he was swimming in it! It was incredible! Naruto felt like he had a wealth of chakra. Kyuubi said from behind Naruto “It figures that you can only use it when you want to save your ass. Tch. Brat, you’re going to need to train with that chakra, because when your own chakra runs out, this will be what you have.” But Naruto wasn’t listening at this point because he had discovered that this new wealth of chakra had given him incredible speed and power! Naruto was fast now! He was as fast as Sasuke, if not faster. Naruto was ecstatic. Now he and Sasuke could fight on even ground again!

The Kyuubi, on the other hand, was getting fed up with Naruto ignoring it, especially when the Kyuubi was trying to share its’ knowledge with Naruto. Finally the Kyuubi said “When you’re willing to listen to me Brat, I’ll call you back.” Then, the room faded from Naruto’s vision before he could protest.

Naruto’s eyes flew open and he sat up with a start. Looking around the room, he sensed something was amiss, or rather, his Sasuke antenna was buzzing rather loudly and insistently. Getting out of bed, he hurriedly showered and changed. After shoveling down a bowl of instant ramen, his senses started burning, but he couldn’t tell why. All these……senses were new to him. Naruto in a moment of rash decision making as he was prone to do headed for the Hokage tower. To his best abilities, he kept his chakra suppressed as he made it to the hallway of Sasuke’s office just in time to see a scantily clad Sakura go inside. Naruto rushed to the door to stop her, but she was inside already.

She had smelled funny. Not because of the perfume, but because there was just something about her that seemed off. Her chakra was…..weird. Or at least, that’s what he thought. Maybe it was just his imagination. Naruto couldn’t be sure, but with this reserve of demon chakra, there was a small naggling of something in the back of his brain, telling him that something was wrong with Sakura. Instead of interfering, Naruto chose to sit and listen to make sure everything went okay. He also wanted to make sure that Sakura also understood just what she needed to, even though something seemed off about her personality. It was like she had regressed or something. Naruto doubted it, but still couldn’t think just what it was that was off about her. Still, focusing on the topic at hand, he pressed his ear to the door to listen in on the conversation. Naruto already knew the outcome, so he wasn’t too worried. He just wanted to make sure neither party went too far.

““Sakura, where did you get this pendant?”

“Well, I found it. It’s beautiful for an ordinary pendant isn’t it Sasuke-kun? I’m sure you have one that’s much better than this ordinary old thing.”

“Where did you get this pendant Sakura?”

“Well, you see, I, uh……found it.”

“Where did you find this Sakura?”

That didn’t sound too good in Naruto’s opinion. He got to his feet. Sasuke sounded pissed off, hopefully he wasn’t too angry. Naruto would just have to wait and see because he knew his lover could sometimes overreact, or not really explode at all. However, the next couple of sentences put Naruto on alert.


“I found it in one of the abandoned Uchiha houses near the main house.”

“Does it look cute on me Sasuke?”

Naruto reached for the door handle, when he heard a shriek of pain. Sakura! He had to help her. The handle turned as he opened the door.

“I will murder you for this Sakura. This is no ‘ordinary’ pendant. This was my mother’s!”


“I-I didn’t know Sasuke-kun! I’m sorry!”

Shit. Shit. Shit. Stupid Sakura! She just had to go and screw everything up! Sure there was something off about her, and he didn’t know what it was, but still! Naruto rushed inside, using his new found speed to land in front of Sasuke just in time to catch the punch. It had taken a little more effort than Naruto had expected to catch that punch and make it look effortless. But he had succeeded. Naruto hadn’t noticed that he had sent Sakura flying when he had shoved her out of the way. He had been so busy working about saving her from getting killed, that he hadn’t seen her crash into the door.

Sasuke snarled “Let go of my hand Naruto. I’m going to kill her!” Naruto said softly, trying to placate Sasuke “She didn’t know Sasuke.” Sasuke growled and said “Bullshit! She knew when she took it from the Uchiha compound!” Naruto repeated softly, trying to soothe Sasuke’s rage “She didn’t know Sasuke.” Sasuke’s rage seemed endless as his Mangekyou sharingan spun madly at its’ user’s rage. Naruto looked back at Sakura. What the hell was she still doing here? He growled “Get out of here Sakura. Don’t you dare pull a stunt like this again because next time, I’ll let him kill you, even if you are my friend.”

Neither party noticed her ungraceful exit because they were too focused on each other nor did they notice how her chakra fluctuated as she left. Naruto said softly, almost soothingly “She didn’t know Sasuke so let it go.” Sasuke growled in protest. No fucking way would he leave this alone! That bitch had invaded his home, tried to take something that wasn’t hers, and she’d tried to seduce him while calling something of his mother’s ‘ordinary’. That pissed Sasuke off, and that made him want to murder her. Pissed, he shoved past Naruto and went to go and kill her.

Naruto sighed and grabbing Sasuke by the collar, he threw Sasuke back. There was no time anyways, because soon enough, Sasuke was on his feet, eyes blazing and itching for a fight. Sasuke walked forward, only to be impeded by Naruto. Punching Naruto square in the face, Sasuke made a rush for the door. Naruto barely appeared in time to intercept Sasuke. Tackling Sasuke to the ground in a fashion that would have done a football coach proud, he didn’t notice anything but Sasuke as he worked to hold the angry teme down. He’d vaguely heard the sound of something landing with a clink near Sasuke’s desk, but he couldn’t tell what that was. He was too busy trying to intercept Sasuke and stop him from killing Sakura.

“Please Sasuke………..don’t make me fight you.” Naruto pleaded. In response, Sasuke growled at Naruto in a rage and attacked. He threw his head forward, head butting Naruto off and distracting Naruto for a moment as Sasuke got to his feet. Seeing his chance to escape, Sasuke escaped the tower, intent on hunting Sakura down.

Naruto shook himself out with a curse as he chased after Sasuke. The fight was on.
