I also realized it was a good idea to do so,seeing as I cannot seem to find any Sai FF on this site! Bringing joy to all my fellow Sai fans, haha! Anyway,if you are reading this and you do like it,please leave a review/rate,tell me what you think (:

Enjoy!

(Continuation from the previous chapter's flashback)

"I want her," said a faint voice.

"But,Princess Tsunade! She's severely injured. Surely, you don't mean to say you want her for...there's no way she can..."

"I will fix her myself," said the twin-tailed blonde known as Tsunade. Lying unconciously on a bed in a small room, was the mangled body of a girl named Hero. Some patchwork had been done. It seemed that she was still alive, but she would have to undergo a dramatic surgery. The great medical ninja herself, had said she would do it. Out of respect to this female Hokage, the elders had no choice but to comply.

"Alright," agreed the two,and then they took their leave. The ageless Tsunade of the Leaf turned her attention back to the young, unconcious girl. It had taken a lot of negociating, but she had managed to pull her out of the death ring of the Foundation's final exams. After discovering the horrors of the Foundation's corrupted ways, she'd immediately announced for a meeting to be held. A law would be discussed, executed, and the Foundation would immediately reorder itself.

"Unbelieveable..." the fifth Hokage said to herself. Despite the child's terrible condition, she couldn't help but also marvel at her beauty. Over her shoulders, long lengths of pale blonde hair laid neatly in place. Her eyes had been closed, but she had been told that they were a light shade of violet. Tsunade pressed a finger to the girl's soft cheek, tracing it gently over to the place just below her long, dark lashes. The thought of what could have happened to the girl was enough to make the woman's stomach turn. From this point on,she would definitely keep a closer eye on the Foundation.

Lost in her thoughts,Tsunade had not heard the soft knock on the door of the small room. When she turned around, her eyes locked with a pair of coal black hues; her best friend and loyal assistant,Shizune. Shizune's eyes flickered to the unconcious patient lying on the bed.

"Uh,Lady Tsunade. The medical team is ready to commence the operation whenever you are ready to begin-"

"Tell them to forget it," Tsunade placed a hand to her forehead. Shizune's eyes slowly began to widen.

"M-M'lady! You can't possibly...be saying you've abandoned the though of saving this child...!?"

The fifth Hokage's amber eyes narrowed at the assumption of her assistant.

"Of course not,"

The dark-haired woman breathed a sigh of relief, watching Tsunade then cross the room.

"I'll be doing this by myself, with your help," she placed a hand atop the girl's forehead. "Use everything I've taught you. We'll begin the surgery immediately,"

Shizune looked at her best friend in disbelief. She wasn't about to argue, even when given these unbelievable commands.

"Right," she nodded. Thus, the operation began.

/End Flashback

I hit the ground, and my life ended there.

No,it hadn't. Why was that?

I'd prepared myself for an unprepareable landing,as the crator in the ground began to expand in my vision. I had no time to curse my murderer. My last words would be implorations of forgiveness.

'Forgive me,mother. Forgive me,Hatori. We're going to meet soon,'

The realization that I was about to meet my death suddenly stirred up a small measurement of panic inside my. My fear of collision reached its peak, and I let out a scream.

I covered my eyes.

The crash never came.

Instead,I'd felt the opposite. A strong arm swooped me up then, allowing only my twin tails to barely sweep the ground. Again,I was on the back of an animated bird that was art drawn by Sai. The adrenaline I'd built up crashed down to the lowest part of my body, making me feel light and weak. Sai had saved my life again; after he'd tried to kill me.

"Are you crazy?!" I screamed. I fought with the urge of trying to do the same thing he'd done to me. The look on Sai's face was unmistakeably shame. He opened his mouth to speak, but closed it quickly.

"I don't know what I can say..."

"Well,you could try an appology!"

Sai turned his back to me. I took this opportunity to draw a knife on him. "Don't even think of trying to do that again," I growled, holding the blade to his throat. He made no effort to move.

"I'm sorry," was all he said. Was I supposed to accept his feeble appology and just forgive him? No. I wanted an explaination.

"Tell me why you just tried to kill me," I demanded. He didn't speak. I pressed the knife closer to his throat, and promptly repeated my question.

"I cannot," Sai said in a clear voice. So this is how it would be.

No matter. I was very familiar with the interrogation team, you see. I knew Ibiki well.

"Alright then," I whispered close to his ear. Sai's eyes watched intently as the knife in my hand slowly traveled down his neck, making a thin line across the sleeve of his left shoulder. Immediately, the material began to dampen. The sharp metallic smell of blood caught on the wind. I relished the familiar scent.

Sai winced in pain.

"It's not that I don't want to say anything," he insisted. "It's just that I cannot..."

"Oh,I don't think that's true," I said, sliding the sharp of the blade down to Sai's inner elbow. I applied pressure to it,forming a pin prick. Maybe he wouldn't talk. I would have to take him in to professionals.

"I didn't want it to be this way.." Sai whispered to himself. He seemed to be cracking, though not in the way that I'd hoped. "I wanted to explain everything, but it's difficult when I..."

His words made no sense to me,but for some reason I wanted to listen. I kept the knife where it was, however. We were both masters of the art of deciet. I wasn't about to be won over. Sai's hand wrapped itself around my wrist, but I kept it steady. I was sure he would fight me for dominance then. To my incredulity, his hand instantly slipped away.

"Princess," he said. That word was really beginning to nerve me. "There are things I need to tell you,but I am unsure if I can control myself. Before I tell you though,it would be safer if we were on the ground,"

I agreed to this without any questions. The first chance I had,I would draw my blade on Sai,and capture him. Whatever he had to say could be explained thoroughly to the interrogation team. No princesses were being assasinated today.

Ugh. I mean,heros!

Sai's bird flew down from the air. I lept to the ground before he hand any chance to grab me. Shortly after the bird had dispersed into ink,Sai straightened himself out,and then grabbed onto my wrist.

"Hey! You let go of me,NOW!" I warned, fumbling for my lost knife. He dragged me off of our current path and into the depths of the woods near by. Desperately,I struggled in a fight for dominance, but to no avail.

'If he tries anything dangerous,I won't hesitate to kill this guy,' I grumbled to myself.

After a while of walking,Sai had finally come to a stop. It seemed that he wanted to get me to a place where it would be difficult to escape. "You must take me for some sort of fool," I said, crossing my arms. "Don't take me lightly. If you're planning to attack,I am very capable of defending myself,"

Sai took a step towards me,and slowly began to extend his hand. The look on his face gave me a brief sensation of deja vu. I realized then what was happening,as my back hit the tree behind me.

Sai was going to kiss me.

*Flashback*

"Have you ever been kissed like that...?"

/end Flashback

"No!" I exclaimed. Sai's hand landed on my cheek, tracing the very tips of his fingers across the surface. A smile played on his lips.

"I can't find it in myself to smile like this anymore," he told me,bringing his face an inch closer to mine. "There's no reason for me to supress how I feel, any longer. Now that you're here before me,it's hard to hold myself together,anymore..."

The light from the afternoon sun filtered through the trees, and it casted across the dark hues of Sai's eyes. His expression displayed angst.

I wasn't sure what to do.

"Who am I...?" Sai leaned closer. I was sure he had started to go insane. His hand fell away from my cheek, and it was replaced with the icyness of his lips. My heart hammered in my chest. I wouldn't let this happen again.

"What are you saying? Sai?" meanwhile,my hand struggled to find a weapon of any kind. Sai's freezing lips brushed from my cheek and moved to the shell of my ear. An overwhelming sense of nostalgia stung inside of me. Or perhaps it was the gentle, fridgid wind that was Sai's very breath.

"I'm saying..." he whispered. "I can't smile like this anymore,Hero. And this isn't Sai. It's Hatori,"
