Chapter 9
Reviews from AFF.net
Mija: Yep Itachi lied… and he obviously has no problem doing it either. And yes, he does want Naruto but the entire plan will become clear soon. As for why he acted like he was happy for the two of them, because he was doing just that; acting XD He’s good at manipulating people, including his own brother as horrible as that is. Angelj23200: I know! I usually don’t like mean/manipulative Itachi but it’s a nice change to not have him so sweet and perfect, even if he is XD =================================================== The next few days passed by slowly than any Naruto had ever experienced. It was amazing how such little time with Sasuke had made Naruto come to depend on him. He didn’t know what to do with himself now that they were apart. He still went to work, but when he came home he felt at a loss. Not even Kiba could keep him properly entertained when all he wanted was to go see Sasuke. The webcam thing just wasn’t cutting it, nor was the few minutes a day when he was permitted to see the raven, to perform his duties. After those five minutes was up, he just had to leave again. He didn’t get to kiss, hug or do anything else with the Uchiha.“Fuck, I am not going to make it through this,” he muttered to himself. Sliding his new phone from his pocket, he checked the date and groaned as he saw he still had three days left. It wasn’t fair!
“Dude, you need to chill out,” Kiba muttered for what felt like the millionth time. “The day’s not gonna change just because you keep checking your phone every five minutes. Just… just find something to do!”
“There isn’t anything to do,” Naruto muttered back, crossing his arms over his chest. “What kinda punishment is this, anyway? Do you think he’s affected? Do you think he misses me? Or maybe he’s just using it as an excuse because he doesn’t want to be around me…”
“Holy shit, Naruto. You’ve asked me those questions a fuckload of times today! I’m sure he’s missing you just as much… but you need to do something, seriously! I can’t take much more of this! Here…” He picked up an Xbox controller and tossed it to the blond. “Play a game or something.”
“I don’t wanna…”
“You used to love playing games and now all you can think about is Sasuke!” Kiba exploded. “I’m all for you having a relationship, but it isn’t healthy to be so fixated on someone! You can still have fun, you know. Just because he’s your Dom and he’s punishing you, doesn’t mean you have to suffer like this. You can’t see him, big deal. You’ll see him in three days. It’s not that long.”
Naruto was silent for a long time, just staring down at the controller that was lying in his lap. “I guess you’re right,” he finally sighed. “I’ve been a little crazy, huh? I just really like him…”
“I know.” The brunet’s lips tugged into a little smirk and he slapped Naruto’s shoulder. “C’mon, blondie. We’re going out tonight to have some fun. You need to let loose and I need to go find a new chick. No, you’re not getting out of this! Now let’s go!”
Grabbing the blonde’s wrist, Kiba hauled him up from the couch and dragged him towards the door. He was going to put some life back into his friend, because god knows he couldn’t stand such a mopey Naruto for another damn minute. He didn’t know how he was going to do it, but he was, one way or another.

Friday afternoon found Sasuke slumped on his couch and flipping through channels on his TV. He had almost called Naruto a few times to invite him over but then remembered the punishment he had laid out. He knew it was an effective one, Naruto’s pout every time they talked on the webcams demonstrated that very clear. But at the same time it really felt like he was being punished as well and he didn’t like that. He shouldn’t’ be feeling like he was being punished…
For some reason ever since the conversation with Itachi, Sasuke had noticed his older brother was a lot less… pretentious and even offered to take Sasuke out for drinks on a few occasions. Sasuke had always declined though, opting to spend his late night talking with his gorgeous blonde sub.
Speaking of Naruto, he would probably be online at around that time. Standing, Sasuke headed to his room and opened up his laptop, logging onto his instant messenger. He frowned when he didn’t see that Naruto was online. Wasn’t the blonde supposed to be off from work? Shaking his head, the raven shut down his laptop once more and headed to his closet. He wouldn’t worry about it. He needed to get out, maybe have a few drinks…
Changing into some dark wash jeans that hugged every curve of his body perfectly, and a tight blue tee shirt, he headed out after quickly fixing his hair and grabbing a black jacket. Maybe Naruto will be online when he got back…

“This is where you wanna go?” Naruto asked in disbelief, staring at the bar.
Rasenshuriken had just opened a month ago and had quickly become one of the more upper-class bars in town. The reviews all said it was outstanding, but to Naruto, it was just a stuffy place for rich people – which he and Kiba were not.
“C’mon, it’ll be fun,” Kiba grinned, walking backwards towards the door. “A new experience to get you out of your slump.” Seeing the grimace on Naruto’s face, he sighed. “Just come on already. If you really hate it, we’ll go.”
“Fine,” Naruto muttered, following the brunet inside. He looked around, seeing all the men dressed up in sports jackets and even suits and felt completely out of place in his jeans and orange t-shirt. “Geez, you could have warned me. We look like idiots.”
“Since when do you care what people think about you?” Kiba scoffed as he sat at the bar. He ordered himself a whiskey sour and turned to look at his friend. “Stop being such a grouch. Order a damn drink and relax.”
Naruto ordered himself a Jack and coke and sipped on his drink once he’d been given it. It did make him feel a little better about everything, but then, alcohol always did.
Sasuke pulled up to Rassenshuriken and sighed. He really hoped he hadn’t been too hard on Naruto. After all, it really wasn’t his fault. Sasuke would have been angry too if their roles were reversed.
Stepping out of his car, he decided not to worry about it. He’d discuss it with Naruto that night. He was thinking of cutting the punishment short… it really wasn’t his best choice of acts and he would gladly admit his mistake.
Stepping into the bar he spotted him right away and smirked. Looked like he wouldn’t have to wait after all. Since Naruto had no idea what the raven had planned, it would be fun to see his reactions.
Making his way to the bar, he said nothing to Naruto but made sure the blonde saw him. He ordered a Golden Cadillac and sipped at it calmly. His eyes flicked over to Naruto once, making sure the blonde knew that he was spotted and promptly looked away, striking up a conversation with the bartender.
Naruto paused in mid-sentence when he saw something dark from the corner of his eye that looked awfully familiar. He turned his head and promptly spit his drink out all over the bar.
“What the fuck!” Kiba gaped, jumping up from his seat. “What’re you doing?!”
Half the bar turned to look at Naruto and he promptly flushed as he wiped his mouth off on his arm. “Sorry… there was a… I thought I saw a bug in it,” he muttered as he grabbed some napkins to begin wiping up the mess.
“You almost gave me a damn heart attack,” Kiba complained, smacking the blond on the back of the head. “Hey, can we get this idiot a new drink?”
The bartender nodded and turned to begin preparing it, which gave Naruto a chance to glance at Sasuke – who liked like liquid sex. The jeans fit his body like a glove, showing off the sleek muscles in his thighs, and that shirt… that shirt made his chest look rock hard and all Naruto wanted to do was run his hands over it… But Sasuke was ignoring him! What the hell was that?
“Who’s that?” Kiba asked, leaning over Naruto to look at the raven haired man. “C’mon dude, you’re taken now. Stop looking at guys.”
Sasuke took his time, taking a few more slow sips of his drink before standing and heading over to the blonde, a flirtatious smile gracing his face.
“I haven’t seen you here before…” He leaned against the bar, setting his drink down. “I like your look… it’s a nice change to all the stuffy suits in here… what’s your name?”
Now it was Naruto’s turn to gape. He stared up at Sasuke in shock, his confusion clear on his face. It made no sense to him… why would Sasuke pretend like he was a stranger? Was the punishment off? But still, that didn’t make sense either. If the punishment was off, then why wasn’t Sasuke just acting normally.
“Uh, well… I’ve never been here before,” he answered slowly, his eyes gleaming with suspicion. It was lucky that he was now facing the opposite way and that Kiba couldn’t see him. “It’s uh… Naruto Uzumaki. Yours?”
Kiba turned as well to look at the man and wished he could see Naruto’s face. The blond wasn’t acting like himself… He was used to picking up guys in bars and wasn’t shy at all when it came to it, but now he sounded completely uncertain… “What are you doing?” he repeated, leaning in close to his friend’s ear. “Naruto, you’re being stupid.”
“Shut up, Mutt,” Naruto hissed over his shoulder, using his elbow to push the brunet back.
Sasuke just chuckled at Kiba’s antics. He knew the guy was just trying to look out for Naruto and the blonde had been right, the man was a good friend.
Focusing on Naruto once more, Sasuke tried to convey his intentions as he leaned closer, locking eyes with his sub’s.
“You seem a bit shy, am I making you nervous?” He purposefully avoided giving Naruto his name, since Kiba definitely knew that much. He didn’t want him to ruin the fun.
Naruto frowned and mouthed ‘what the hell are you doing?’ but he wasn’t answered and he still had no idea. Was it some kind of joke? Was he supposed to play along? Maybe that was the best idea… just play along and see where Sasuke was going with it.
“Ah, no,” he answered, flashing his best smile. “Not at all… why? Do I seem like the nervous type?”
The raven shrugged. “A little, but I like that…” He lifted up his hand and dragged the back of his fingers against Naruto’s soft cheek, loving the feel of the soft skin. He had missed it. “So, what are you doing out with no date?” He looked over at Kiba for a second. “Unless, he’s your date…”
Naruto’s breath hitched and his smile softened. He couldn’t help but lean into Sasuke’s touch, closing his eyes as he tried to soak it in. He’d missed it so damn much, and he already wanted more…
“Hell no, he’s not my date,” the blond grinned. “He’s just my Mutt.” He snickered when he heard Kiba scoff behind him. “I’m not here with anyone special… just wanted to relax a bit for the first time this week…”
“Rough week for you too? It’s been torture for me.” The words had meaning and Sasuke knew that Naruto would understand.
Naruto’s eyes immediately flicked up to meet Sasuke’s, the blue orbs gleaming with emotion. “Yeah, it was pretty rough…” he murmured. “More like torture…”
Sasuke glanced over at Kiba for a moment, wishing the brunette would go away but he wasn’t about to say anything. “Since you don’t have a date… how about we have some fun? I know I sound a bit forward but I like you…”
Kiba stood then, looking between the two. “Naruto, I don’t know what the fuck you think you’re doing, but you’re going to mess everything up! You’re taken! Just because he’s not letting you see him right now doesn’t mean you can fuck around with another guy!” He looked up at Sasuke, his eyes burning with anger. “He’s with someone!”
Naruto stood, too, and turned around, placing a hand on Kiba’s shoulder. “It’s okay. Trust me, Kiba.”
The brunet shook his head. “But I don’t. You’re upset. You’ve been a wreck the entire week… I can’t let you ruin everything just because some hot guy is batting his eyes at you. You really like Sasuke, Naruto, more than you’ve ever liked anyone before. You said yourself that you’re already falling for him, so you can’t do this.”
Sasuke froze and looked at Naruto, seeing the slight pink tinge to the man’s cheeks. So it was true, Naruto really did feel that strongly for him. He felt warm inside… knowing that he was starting to feel the same way as well. He’d fallen for a sub faster than he’d ever fallen before. It was a bit scary.
“Alright, you don’t have to come with me, besides, talking never hurt anyone right?” Sasuke smirked at Kiba, getting into his role. He wasn’t going to go for that much longer but he just needed an opportunity to give Naruto the hint to meet him at his place.
Naruto reluctantly met Sasuke’s gaze, not sure what he was going to see now that that information had been leaked. But instead of the rejection he thought he might face since it was still early in their relationship, he saw the total opposite in those dark orbs and his heart started beating faster. He so badly wanted to reach out, to just be able to touch Sasuke, but he couldn’t…
“I guess not.” Sitting back down on his stool, Naruto patted the one beside him. “So let’s talk.”
Appeased, Kiba settled down, too, but kept a wary eye on Naruto to make sure things didn’t get out of hand. That is, until after about a half hour of listening to the two talk, the door jingled and a pretty little thing with violet hair walked in. She just happened to sit in the stool on his other side.
“Hey there…” he greeted her, putting on his most charming smile. “Can I buy you a drink?”
Letting out a small sigh of relief, Naruto stood. “I’m going to the bathroom,” he announced to the brunet. “Unless that’s a problem for you, too.”
The brunet’s attention was completely captured and he just waved the blond away. Grinning, Naruto headed off to the bathroom, hoping Sasuke would take the hint. He just wanted a second to talk to him, to find out what the hell was going on.
After about a minute, Sasuke got up as well and headed toward the bathroom. Kiba was completely engrossed in the pretty girl next to him so he wasn’t worried. Stepping into the men’s room, he saw Naruto leaning against the sink, obviously waiting for him.
“You weren’t online earlier…” was all he said, his expression giving nothing away.
“No…” Naruto muttered, staring down at the tiled floor. “I got dragged out of the apartment by Kiba. Literally. Apparently he couldn’t handle me moping around anymore and decided to take me out drinking.”
Sasuke sighed and approached Naruto, his arms sliding around the slim waist, feeling those soft tails brushing against his skin. “So… took you a while to catch on…”
Naruto’s arms immediately wrapped around the taller raven’s neck and he pressed up on his toes, burying his face in the pale skin of Sasuke’s neck. “I didn’t know what was going on… I still don’t. Am I not being punished anymore?”
He breathed in the Uchiha’s scent, his grip tightening. “I’ve really missed you, Sasuke…”
Sasuke pulled Naruto closer, if that were even possible, his hand stroking through the golden locks. “I missed you too… you have no idea. And I’ve decided to end your punishment stating now. You’ve been very good throughout the whole thing that you deserve to have it cut short.”
Leaning down, he pressed his lips against Naruto’s softly, moaning lightly at the touch of lips so soft against his own. “As for what I was doing tonight… I just wanted to play with you a little, and mess with your friend… he’s very protective of you.”
Naruto sighed softly into the kiss, pushing himself up again once it’d ended to catch Sasuke’s lips once more. He pulled back, then, but didn’t leave the comfort of the raven’s arms. He wasn’t planning on doing that any time soon.
“That’s why I call him ‘Mutt’,” he smirked. “He’s like a guard dog, isn’t he? He’s been looking out for me since we were little kids. Kiba’s the only family I’ve got.”
“That’s good, everyone needs a friend like that.” Sasuke smiled at the blonde and couldn’t help but feel that warmth again. “So, did you mean what you said at the bar? About falling for me?”
“Yeah,” Naruto admitted. “It’s true. I told Kiba that in private but I guess I can forgive him since he didn’t know he was telling you. I was going to tell you myself, but I figured you’d think I was just saying it to get out of my punishment. I didn’t want you to think that… and then I thought it was too early to say anything and I didn’t want to freak you out so I decided to just keep my mouth shut… but I guess you know now.”
“I do know… and I think it’s really sweet of you to say.” He kissed the blonde once more before letting go altogether. “I feel the same about you too…”
He looked around and chuckled a bit. “We should probably get out of the bathroom before either Kiba comes in or he notices you’re gone.”
Naruto’s heart fluttered and he grinned like an idiot. “Yeah right. He won’t even notice I’m gone now that he’s talking to that girl. He’s going to try and bring her home with him tonight… which sucks for me, because now I’m going to hear them fucking all night. I guess I should be used to it by now, but ugh..”
He grimaced and pushed off from the sink. “I hate hearing straight sex. I can never get used to hearing a girl moaning in the room next to mine.”
“You won’t have to worry about that. You’ll be coming home with me tonight….” He smirked and took Naruto’s hand. “I want to see the look on Kiba’s face when I walk out of the bar with you.”
“I get to stay over?” Naruto grinned, lacing his fingers with Sasuke’s. His night was beginning to look better and better. No hearing that chick moan all night – not to mention hearing his best friend while he’s fucking. That was always weird. And he got to stay with Sasuke!
“He’s gonna freak, you know.” Shaking his head, he exited the bathroom with Sasuke, sticking close to his side. The look on Kiba’s face when he turned and saw them was priceless. His eyes bugged out and his jaw dropped open – but then the anger came.
“What the fuck!” he yelled, jumping up and storming right over to the couple. “Naruto, you’re a fucking idiot! What the hell is Sasuke going to say about this when he finds out?!”
Sasuke knew it was time to end the game and he calmly stared at the angry man. “You’re as good of a friend as he says... I like that. Sasuke Uchiha, nice to finally meet you.” Sasuke held out his hand a playful gleam in his eyes.
Naruto covered his mouth to try and stop his laughter from escaping as Kiba’s head whipped back and forth between them.
“B-But… what?!” Kiba spluttered, his eyes wide with disbelief. “Y-You’re… holy shit. I guess you know who I am, but… Kiba Inuzuka. ” He slid his hand into Sasuke’s and shook, but then quickly pulled back and glared at the blond. “Thanks for making me look like an idiot, fuckface. Wait…”
He turned back to Sasuke and threw his arms up in the air. “Do you know what you did to him this week?! I’ve had to put up with his whining constantly! You probably haven’t had to deal with it yet, but let me tell you… he doesn’t stop! Ever! I swear to god he was whining for you in his sleep!”
“I was not!” Naruto hissed, his eyes narrowing. “Come on, you bastard! You already told him I was falling for him! Isn’t that enough?!”
“Payback, baby,” Kiba grinned. “Neh, Sasuke? Next time you’re going to punish him like that, give me a heads up so I can get the fuck outta town, okay?”
Sasuke’s expression was full of amusement as he witnessed the interaction between the two friends. “Don’t worry, I think Naruto learned his lesson… right?” He gave the blonde a meaningful look, his hand still clasped with Naruto’s.
“Yes, Sir,” Naruto grinned, nodding in agreement. See if he ever listened to Itachi again… “Mutt, I’m staying with Sasuke tonight so feel free to be as loud as you want.”
“Oh, good… oh, shit!” Kiba ducked around Naruto to see if the girl he’d been working on was still there. Thankfully, she was. “Hey, I gotta seal the deal here, so… you boys be good and all that.” Waving over his shoulder, he plopped back into his stool and threw his arm around the girl’s shoulders.
“Okay, I am more than ready to go. I need a break from him, too.”
Sasuke nodded and led Naruto out to the parking lot and looked around for Naruto’s car. “I’m assuming you came here in Kiba’s car?”
“Yeah, there was no reason for us to bring both of ours and my truck isn’t big enough for us and whatever girl he picked up unless we wanted to be really cozy.” Shaking his head, Naruto spotted Sasuke’s car and headed over to it.
“I don’t have to stop and get Kitsu or anything. He’ll be fine with Akamaru until Kiba gets home.”
Unlocking the car, Sasuke got in and waited for Naruto before starting up the engine. Inviting Naruto over was a spur of the moment decision and he wasn’t sure what they were going to do once they got to his place. They were definitely going to talk about what happened though. He needed to tell Naruto what Itachi had told him. Something was off though, he wasn’t sure what it was but the whole thing seemed a bit… fuck, he didn’t even know.
The ride to his apartment was quiet and once they parked, Sasuke didn’t get out right away, instead, he turned to the blonde. “You know that we need to talk right?”
“Yeah,” Naruto sighed. “I know. I don’t think we’re going to see eye-to-eye on this, but we should still talk about it. And I won’t freak out again.”
“Good… Let’s go.” He got out of the car and headed toward the building, knowing Naruto was behind him. ~TBC
