"Hidden Message"



Naurto slurped the last bit on his ramen and wiped his mouth with his sleeve. "Man, did that hit the spot!" The clock tower rang 3 times, 3:00pm. "Holy shit! I'm late!" Naruto leaped off the stool from the bar nearly falling over and darted out of the restaurant.

"Gahh! Kakashi-sensei's gonna kill me!!" Running as fast has he could he headed towards the school were he was supposed to have a 2:30 appointment with Kakashi, of course he lost track of time and his stomach took over. "Dammit, dammit!" Naruto was running so fast the people on the streets seemed as blurs as he raced by. He rounded the corner and came to a sudden stop.

"Where the hell are you going in such a hurry? Gotta take a piss or something?" Uchiha Sasuke, #1 rookie Ninja in his class and one of Naruto's arch rivals.

"Uchiha...Shut the hell up and get out on my way, I'm late!"

"Late for what dobe?"

"None of your damn business prick!"

Naruto flipped him off and continued running towards the school. Finally reaching the back off the school he found Kakashi still waiting for him. "Ka-ka-Kakashi-sensei...sorry I'm late I was eating and..Sasuke was bugging me and.." He could bearly catch his breath enough to talk.

"It's okay Naruto your here now."

"Your not mad or anything?!" Kakashi just smiled as he patted Naruto's head

"Follow me Naruto, we have to talk."

The two headed in to talk. Kakashi cleared his throat "Naruto? Do you hate Sasuke?"

Naruto's face twitched "What?! Why does that matter?"

"Well, do you?" Naruto had a bewildered look on his face "Uhh, yea I guess you could say I do. I mean he's such a dick to me all the time and he's always trying to be better then everyone." Naruto folded his arms and sneered. "Interesting..." Kakashi scratched his chin. "So, was that what you wanted to talk about Kaksashi-sensei?"

"Yes. That's all I wanted to know. Unless you have something you'd like to discuss Naruto?"

"No, it's just...that's a really odd question to ask someone, I thought it was serious."

"Oh, well it could be serious, I mean you being on the same team and all. I don't want any problems that could potentially ruin a mission. I'll have a talk with Sasuke, see if we can't fix some things." Kakashi smiled "You can go now Naruto." Naruto unfolded his arms and headed toward the door. He stopped and turned toward Kakashi and scratched his head.

"Why exactly did you ask me that Kakashi-sensei?"

Kakashi shifted his eyes back and forth quickly "I, uhh, just wanted to know. It's important all members of a team can cooperate together that's all." He nervously smiled and put his hands in his pockets. "See you tomorrow Naruto!"

"Uhh, yea see ya." Naruto confusedly answered back as he continued out the door. Naruto traveled back down the streets toward his apartment. "That was really weird. Stupid Sasuke probably told him I was causing trouble or something, that guy's such an asshole." Naruto began thinking about all the times him and Sasuke had arguments. "He always wants to start shit with me!" Sasuke had whooped Naruto's ass on several occasions, but there were a few times Naruto actually won too. "Ehh, he's such a jerk." Naruto made to his apartment and went in to get changed. Back at the school Kakashi was still in the classroom reading his dirty book. Sasuke entered the room. "Did you talk to him?"

"Yes, Sasuke I did."

Sasuke stood beside him and folded his arms "Well! What did he say?"

"He said he kinda hates you." Kakashi looked up from his book. Sasuke growled and turned his head. "How the hell you kinda hate someone, it's either yes or no."

"Well Sasuke, maybe you should try being nicer to him. You never know, maybe he needs to see that you don't just like fighting with him."

"Nicer? To Uzumaki? Yea, maybe if he wasn't so fucking dense he'd actually understand." Sasuke cringed. He really liked Naruto, as more then just a fighting partner or team mate. They'd been on a lot of missions so far and Sasuke did get to spend a lot of time with him. That's how it all started. Problem was Sasuke was such an arrogant jerk about so many things he'd never want to lower his own defenses to tell Naruto he had a crush on him. Sasuke talked to Kakashi a while ago about his feelings for Naruto. Actually Kakashi had to literally sit on top of Sasuke and get him to confess. He was the only one who knew or so he thought, Iruka knew too, but only because Kakashi and him were so close. Sasuke desperately wanted a relationship like that with Naruto. "Well Sasuke, you know as well as I do that Naruto isn't exactly the brightest student now is he?"

"That's a nice way of putting it." Sasuke smirked

"Kakashi-sensei? How did you tell Iruka-sensei you wanted to be with him?"

Kakashi snickered "Oh...I have my ways...." Suddenly Kakashi snapped his head toward Sasuke. "Hey wait! How the hell do you of my and Iruka's relationship!?" Sasuke scoffed "I saw you two making out in the classroom one day after school." Kakashi's jaw dropped. "Err...Sasuke" Kakashi nervously laughed, "let's never discuss this in front of anyone else hmm?"

Sasuke shrugged "Whatever."

Kakashi pulled himself together to speak "Probably for you, the best thing is to get the two of you alone and have a serious discussion."

"A serious discussion with Naruto? HAHA! I really see that happening. I'll figure out something to get that idiot right where I want him." Sasuke turned and exited the room without even saying good bye. Kakashi raised an eyebrow, shook his head and looked down to his book. Iruka entered the room and saw Sasuke walking down the hallway. "So how'd everything go today?" Kakashi glanced up to answer, "Good, I talked to the two of them. Their crazy about each other and don't even know it." Kakashi sighed "Ah, young love." Iruka walked behind Kakashi and leaned on his shoulder. "Hmm, your so understanding and helpful." Kakashi shifted his eyes towards Iruka "Y'know Sasuke saw us making out one day..." Iruka smirked "Did he now?" He leaned in and brushed his lips across Kakashi's neck. He wrapped his arms around Kakashi's chest and nuzzled his ear. "You know...we're still young..." Kakashi smiled and put his book down. He grabbed Iruka and the two locked lips. "Go lock the door Iruka...and this time close the shade..."

Sasuke strolled about town for a few hours just thinking. "Dobe." He shoved his hands in his pockets. He glanced up at the sky, dark clouds began to move in. "Good...I'm in the mood for some rain." Sasuke said in a sarcastic voice. He headed toward the center of town past the grocery store. As he pasted he heard a familiar voice, "Hey assshole!" He stopped and glared over his shoulder "What's with you Uchiha? Finally realize what a girl you are!" It was, of course, Naruto.

"Fuck you." was all Sasuke had to say and he continued walking. Naruto ran up behind him with his groceries in his arms. "Hey wait up!" Naruto walked beside Sasuke "Seriously, what's up your ass Sasuke?" Sasuke scoffed and looked away. A roll of thunder spread through out the sky and rain droplets began to fall to the ground. "Uh-oh there's gonna be a storm." Naruto said in a childish voice and he pointed to the sky.

"Dobe."

"Jeez Sasuke, lighten up!" Naruto was struggling to carry so many groceries at once. They walked a little ways down the street. "Stop following me!" Sasuke commanded. "Don't flatter yourself, my apartment is this way and besides....." Naruto answered back, but in middle of his sentence he humbled around trying to straighten out his bags of food. "Hey Sasuke, make yourself useful and help with these will ya?" Sasuke starred at him. "Come on man help me!"

"Uhg fine..." Sasuke grumbled back. He grabbed a couple of bags and walked behind Naruto. Finally the two made it to the apartment just as it began to down-pour. Naruto pushed open his door and placed his groceries on the floor. Sasuke dropped his bags next his. "Hey! there's breakable stuff in there jerk!"

"Whatever, I bought them here so now I'm gonna go." Sasuke turned to leave, but Naruto grabbed him before he left. "Are you crazy? Look at outside, it's pouring!"

"It's rain you idiot!! and don't touch me!" Sasuke shifted his shoulder away from Naruto's hand. "Come on, where else are you gonna go huh? You don't have any friends other then me....well actually I'm the only person who can stand you...kinda, I mean you do get on my nerves and..."

"Shut UP!" Sasuke yelled "I'll stay dammit!" Naruto smiled and closed the door. Sasuke looked at him weird. Why did he smile like that and why did he want him to stay? Sasuke sat down on the couch and pondered. "Do you...want a drink or something?" Naruto asked. "Yea sure whatever you got."

Naruto dashed off to fetch his drink. Sasuke was still thinking about Naruto's actions. Usually he just blows him off as if it's nothing or has a snappy come back, but he didn't this time. He didn't even try. "Here!" Naruto handed Sasuke his drink. "I hope you like it! I made it myself." Sasuke starred into the cup. "Now I'm afraid to drink it..." Naruto growled "haha very funny..." The 2 sat quietly on the couch for a few moments, Sasuke sipped his drink. He cleared his throat, "This...um...this is kinda good" he said in a low voice. "Oh thanks" Naruto answered back. Sasuke finished his drink and put the cup down. "Alright you, what's going on huh??" Naruto looked up. "What do you mean?"
Sasuke stood up "You know! Why are you acting so nice and why'd you want me to stay? What's going on?!" Sasuke pointed his finger straight into Naruto's face. Naruto starred into Sasuke's eyes. He blushed and spoke softly, "Look in your cup...." Sasuke glared and lifted his cup. Taped to the bottom was a little note with a heart on it that read "I like you".
