I do not own Naruto, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Gaara is in danger
Wow, I guess my first little romp was okay. At least no one set fire to it. So, I couldn't just leave it there. Here is what happens to the boys next.
Disclaimer: I would love nothing more than to own Naruto, but I don't think he would like it as much, so it's lucky for him that I don't.
1. Gaara is in danger.
Naruto followed the Chuunin into the woods and stopped beside a fallen tree. He looked around and smirked. No one had followed them, and there was no reason for them to anyway. It was just his way to be wary when on special training practices with the other.
“Now, how much have you learned?” was the question put to him by the Chuunin.
“I got it all. I can probably do the Jutsu better than you ever could. But just tell me this, Choji. Why would I ever need this special skill?” he asked. Choji smiled and shrugged.
Shikamaru stared at the assembled Jounin that circled the Hokage’s desk like she was a fallen beast and they were a flock of buzzards.
“I don’t see any way to save him. How can we possibly pull it off?”
“The Kazekage is doomed. We can’t help him this time.”
“How did they catch him, he’s so powerful. It is a hopeless situation.”
Were the comments from the other ninja’s.
Tsunade looked irritated, and like she probably had a real bad headache. Shikamaru would have said something by now, but he was unsure if he could voice this in the middle of the meeting they were floundering with. He looked up at the circle of uniformed assassins and sighed heavily.
“You have something to add, Nara-kun?” came the voice of the Godaime.
“Hmm? No, nothing. Well, I would like to ask you something, in private. But that is all.” He admitted and the rest of the men just glared at him. He was not going to make friends and influence people today. Oh, well. That would be too, . . . um oops he had almost thought the one word that Tsunade had banned from his thoughts as well as vocabulary.
“I want you all working on this. I expect some results in a few days. They aren’t going to do anything rash. My understanding is they worked hard to get Gaara alive. He will be safe for a while. Now go and don’t come back empty handed.” And the group disbanded. “Okay, genius Jounin. What is your idea that couldn’t be shared with the group? I am betting it’s a good one.” Tsunade said, indicating he was to come closer.
Shikamaru stood and made his way to her desk, wondering exactly how he was going to explain this one.
“Okay, so the reason we can’t get in to the resort is because they are very thorough at checking over anyone coming in. If we had a couple of special Jutsu’s and six well trained ninja’s to work them, we could . . . . .” and the last of his explanation was said in a whispered hush that had the Hokage’s eyes bulging from her sockets. He completed the plan and stood back. Tsunade sat back and allowed her mind to absorb it all. As she did the wheels in her head turned just fast enough to see the true benefit of the plan.
“You could really do this?” she asked, incredulously.
“I would have to have some time to train my team, but I believe that already several of them are well practiced in the required Jutsu’s” he explained.
“Gather your team. You have one month. After that, I will have to send in every ANBU we have. That could cause a war, but inactivity for too long will dissolve what allied hold we have over the Sand. Do you understand? If you are in there, it would be bad for your team.” The Hokage said, giving him a worried look.
“I stand by my teams abilities.” He replied as she waved him away.
“Then go, and Shikamaru? Make it happen.”
He walked down the long ramp from the Hokage tower and headed for the training grounds. It was going to be hard to explain this one to Neji.
