Hello everyone again, well its been long time since I last updated! And I feel really bad but well my labtop cord died and I know my lab was still under warrenty but the company was giving me a really hard time!! I hate when they do that but intill I got a new cord there was no way I would be able to update or make any type of changes. I feel really bad but now that I at last have everything I need I can continue to write this. Of course I reread this fixed many things on the first chapter, I just felt like it could be way better. So I hope you guys like the new changes, and I would like a Beta if there is one out there willing to read and correct this particular story. ^.^ Well I like to thank those that reviewed! Chapter One: Ocean Life

It was a cool night down here below in the deep blue sea, our room made of soft sponges

and hard coral glowed softly from the tiny fish living within the dome shaped walls.

We had two, big open windows made for the sole purpose of gazing out beyond the shelf.

Tiny darting creatures swim about while the exotic flowers glow with bright

sheens of undiscovered colors under the filtered moon light from above.

Tiny bubbles escape my brother's mouth as he snores gently. While our pet sea horses

cling to their kelp bedding on the rocks below us. I am sitting on my sponge bed

covered in a giant kelp leaf trying to recall how exactly we got here, and how exactly

we became "fish" or as they liked to be called merpeople. My once black hair is now a

deeper blue matched only by the ocean depths; my once long legs are now one long tail

that shimmers a pretty aqua colored green.

My once sun-kissed skin is now pale like the underside of a dolphin accented with

tints of blue mostly around my neck, down the valley of my breasts, and just the

lightest blue circled around my stomach. While my once brown eyes are now a rich shade

of mavue purple with flecks of bright pink at the any rainbow fish would be jelous of.

My brother's once brown hair is now such a bright green that he attracts tiny bright

colored fish to his side just for the sole purpose

of swimming through his hair, his once hazel colored eyes are now a bright, cheerful

tourquise, and his once pale skin is now tinted with swirls of the same bright green.

It is infact amazing that my brother and I are still alive, it would seem that thanks

to that young boy, with eyes the same color as the ocean's murckey depths, we are here

in this mystical place. As the water around me pulses and shifts about my mind turns

inward to that fateful day my little brother and I went sailing....

Well hope that was a fun beginning ^.^ And now onwards with the story!
***************************************************************************************************

There was a huge storm brewing on the horizon, and near by there happened to be a tiny

island which also happened to be inhabited. The villagers living there were

preparing for the wicked storm about to arrive by tying down roofs, signs, and many

other objects.

All the wise sailors and old fishermen brought in their boats to safety,

from the evil winds, in the harbor. Well all of them except for one small looking sail

boat, which looked like a tiny bobbing toy splashing about in the rough waves.

But alas it was considered a drift too far from the island and with the storm so close

no one was willing to risk their life to go out there and retrevie them.

Such a sad thing the human mind can be when the instinct to survive kicks in. As the

bold, black clouds spread across the sky like a pack of starved wolves towards the

tiny island, mothers ushered their children inside and closed their barred doors and

windows hoping to find safety within from the screaming winds sure to come. The

stubborn, smelly sailors and willey, old fishermen wished luck to the boat bouncing out

and about in the raging sea happy to be heading inside where the comforts of home

awaited, alas who knew how long the storm would last?

Better to be inside then out on the sea risking your fool neck for some strange

forieners. Once everyone was nice and safe inside their shabby dwelings, while quite a

distance away there stood a lone boy atop a rocky out cropping, eyes calmly fixed on

the before him.

His blonde hair shone even in the darkening sky with a brillance seemingly mocking the

sun, while his bronze colored skin emitted a warm glow. When he turned his face up to

the gray-black sky, eyes that turned and churned like the sea below narrowed with an

unspeakable emotion.

Rain drops began to fall, several which landed upon the boy and just melted away. As

the rain began to thicken several found their way into his beautiful hair while others

fell on his still up turned face making him close his eyes and smile in delight.

Finally the storm I could feel coming. He shivered as a blast of cold air circled

around his half naked body making him very aware that his clothing lay else where. He

walked towards the edge of the out cropping and looked below as the white surf beat

against the reddish base of the cliff.

He then once again scanned the ocean ahead seemingly searching for nothing yet intent

on finding something. His calm searching finally paid off and he spotted the tiny sail

boat which was now in danger of tipping over. The boy took a quick glance towards the

village easily spotting the thatched huts, the narrowing of his eyes was the only sign

of disgust he felt towards the scared villagers.

I'll never understand those humans, he thought. Making up his mind quickly enough he

took three steps back then sprang over the edge and into the rocky waters

below. His body shuddered at the ice like quality of the water made contact, but that

went away quick enough, his skin once again keeping him warm. His face broke the

surface followed by the rest of his body, he locked his gaze upon the boat in the

distance, then began making strong, sure strokes towards his target.

***************************************************************************************************

Aboard the the boat slumbered two figures strechted out on either side of the boat.

That was probably what was keeping the boat form tipping over, the displacement of

equal weight that is. While they slept on the waves contiuned to rise higher, tossing

the small boat roughly. The dark clouds once far away were now overhead casting their

shadow along the water.

The two figures shivered in response yet remained oblivious to the danger surrounding

them. The swimming boy got ever closer to reaching the boat but it seemed like the

storm was intent in reaching them first. The churning clouds began to rumble while the

wind started to whistle.

A sudden clap of thunder overheard woke the black haired girl. She gazed about with

bleary eyes taken in her unfamiler surroundings, the boat must have drifted away from

the shoreline.., she thought. She shook her heavy head and gave a startled gasp of

fright. Not only were they off course but in the middle of one big, dangerous storm.

Oh my God! What am I going to do? She looked at her younger brother not at all

surprised that he was still asleep, he was a really heavy sleeper. Thunder continued to

sound above them while the steel colored waters moved with increasing ferocity around

them. Then without warning a giant wave cast a cold shadow over their boat, the girl

quickly launched herself atop her brother's body while holding on to a random piece of

rope.

As the monster wave came crashing down the girl let out a desperate scream, while also

destroying the mast which thus took half the boat along with it. The now awake

boy and his sister held on to their only life line, the sea was merciless. As if it

sensed their destress its intentions became deadlier and began to throw them about.

The boy and his sister began to panick as the water got higher and higher around them.

The sea forced itself into their throats stinging them with its salty tast, it burned

their eyes, it fought her grip on the rope, it fought the boy's grip on his sister. It

was intent about the utter destruction and death of the two foolish souls seemingly

challenging its authority by just being alive. Her grip was weakening she wasn't sure

how much longer she could keep fighting to stay above water.

As if sensing her weakness the sea ceased its chance, another freezing wave rose and

fell upon the two. Unprepared she lost her grip and with their combined weight and

pressure of the waves began to sink. Water made its way into her lungs bringing with it

a burning pain unable to breath she soon lost conscience and drifted lower and lower

into the water.

He cringed when a lighting blot struck the water close by, but it only served to make

him more determined to reach them in time. Wind and sea be damned, he thought I

will get to them in time. The wind made its displeasure known as if it sensed the

blondie's will, it now blew about harder and the thunder grew louder.

He stuggled against the wind's mighty push and shielded his eyes of the rain that now

came down in stinging bullets. Without bothering to take a breath he dove under the

water and shot towards the two floating figures.

And while this may be a the end of chapter one I can only hope that the fixing I did was enough. Umm..I don't know if I should continue this story but if you let me know if you think I should. I can't wait to read the reviews, and constructive criticism is welcome.
