Beat

Ok, flames are fine, don't rag on my for my portrayal of the charaters though, they aren't mine.
I know this is very different to my last story, but I'll be back on form soon :)
thank you for your time.

Temari watched as the girl swayed to the music. Pale arms lifted towards the ceiling, she prayed to the beat. Even Temari was tapping along to the beat, her foot having temporarily declared independence from the rest of her body in order to have a good time. Temari took a sip from her drink and moved over to the girl, brushing past people on the dance floor only when they didn’t see her coming and shrink away.
The advantages of having a reputation were the only reason she didn’t discourage the notions others had about her.
The girl opened her eyes when Temari enfolded her in her arms.
“I love to watch you dance.” Temari ignored the fact that she was swaying along with the girl, more than actually watching her.
“You don’t seem to be watching me so much at the moment.”
“Fine, I love to feel you dance, watch you dance, hear you dance…” Temari waited for the blush to creep up the tiny girls features. “Oh? Not embarrassed by me any more?”
“No point is there? You’re always going to be like this, and no one is listening.” Pale arms snaked upwards once more, freeing the girl from the lovers embrace. A flirt of her hem and she was slipping through the crowd. Begging to be chased.
“Not tonight lovely. I’m on watch, remember?” Temari loved her pale little sweet, but nothing came over duty. “You obviously did, seeing as you showed up.”
Pale eyes met hers, and suddenly she was wishing that she didn’t have this position, that she could chase this nymph out the back and down the road to her bed. Being the Kazekages sister, however, meant great, and very unwanted, responsibility. Like following him to a club when he tried for normalcy.
“Temari… I’m only stationed here for so long you know. I go back in less than a fortnight. Let’s enjoy ourselves today, please?” Temari cast a quick glance over at her brother, and found him standing in his corner, looking so sad it broke her heart.
“I’m sorry lovely, today is made of the same stuff as tomorrow. And I promise I’ll enjoy myself then.” Turning her pale love in her arms, she pointed at the sad teen in the corner. “He needs me to take him home before his heart breaks. Please understand?”
“Sure, Temari, he needs you even more than I do.” But Temari saw that tightening around her eyes.
“Thank you Hinata, to use and old cliché, I don’t deserve you at all. My wonderful little love.” A parting kiss and Hinata once more raised her arms in prayer to the muse of the beat that thrilled through her veins.
