Summary: A poem from Naruto’s point of view on his and Itachi’s relationship. This is a Yaoi poem. Note to self: Don’t write poetry while listening to sad music.


Orange and Red

I love him
I cry at night because of this
Oh Sasuke, what would you do?
I love him and I can’t stop
I know he doesn’t love me
All he feels through those lidded eyes is pain
Pain as he suffers
Suffering and trying to blur the pain
Drowning it in blood
Suffocating it in sorrow
But nevertheless
I love him
I know all this and my tears flow
In three silver lines down my cheek
I see his eyes, lightly glowing in the shadows
Luminescent, my love beckons me
Who am I to abandon him?
I have lived forever abused
Why shouldn’t I be allowed to pretend,
Like everyone else that I am loved
That through murk and mist
I will have a home, nestled in sweet smelling arms
Arms which really smell of blood
But who am I to choose my happiness?
Would I even recognize it,
Having never seen it?
Would it pass me by unseeing like always?
Or will I allow Itachi to snatch it with crimson talons?
And allow a bit of hope to fall on both our shadowed hearts?
